Nigerian Woman Jailed 9 Years In The UK For Burning Lover’s Private Parts With A Hot Iron

A Nigerian woman who burned a man’s legs and genitals with a hot iron during sex has been jailed for nine years.
Kenya Alozie, 31, was having sex with a man in his 30s at an address in Plumstead, south-east London, on May 15 when she used a hot iron to assault him in what police describe as a “calculated attack”.She also attacked the man with a broken bottle causing him a number of serious injuries including deep cuts and burns.
He has since undergone a number of hospital treatments and surgery.

Alozie, of no fixed abode, was sentenced at Woolwich Crown Court on Tuesday after being found guilty of GBH with intent.At the time of the attack, Alozie’s student visa, that she obtained to study at Coventry University, was due to expire and she was due to return to her family in Nigeria at the end of May.
Police arrested her on May 24 just after she boarded a flight at Heathrow Airport and charged her with the offence the following day. Dectective Duncan Clark from Greenwich police, said:

Alozie committed a calculated and pre-planned attack. She ensured she had a broken bottle to hand and a hot iron to strike the victim and seriously harm him.
The sentence imposed clearly reflects the seriousness of this extremely violent attack.

45 Year Old Woman Nabbed With Tons Of Cocaine Hidden In Her Private Part

A 45-year- old, Senegalese woman, Sall Fatou, has been arrested by officers of the Nigeria Immigration Service, NIS, Zone A attempting to cross the Seme border with tons of cocaine. The suspect that hid the drugs in her private part was intercepted by curious Immigration officers who were suspicious about her nervous posture at the border.

The Assistant Comptroller General of Immigration, Zone A, Mr. Musa Maza, who disclosed the arrest said the suspect claimed to be a courier and not a drug dealer. According to him, “the suspect’s nervous posture aroused suspicion when our officers at the border accosted her. She told us she was sent to deliver the drugs to someone in Senegal. The drug was uncovered within her private part.”

The suspect, Fatou, who spoke to newsmen in French, noted that she was only playing the role of a ‘middle-person. She claimed she does not know the person who supplied her drugs.

According to the suspect, “the drug was given to me by someone I do not know at midnight. My own role is to deliver the drugs to someone I also do not know in Senegal but I was caught at the border. I never knew I would fall into this kind of trap. I really regret my actions.”

The suspect was handed over to narcotic officers from the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, at the headquarters of the NIS, Ikeja, Lagos for further investigation and prosecution. The NDLEA officials who took over the matter pledged to ensure thorough investigation and prosecution of the suspect.

Woman Burnt Alive By Suspected Assassins

A 77-year-old woman, Elder Mrs. Grace Orizu was roasted alive on Saturday afternoon when her son’s five-room bungalow at Little Wood Estate, Obosi in Idemili North Local Government Area of Anambra state was allegedly set ablaze by suspected arsonists.

Her nine year old house help, Progress N w a c h u k w u , miraculously escaped death as neighbours who thronged the scene managed to rescue him alive from the kitchen where he had hidden as the fire rages.

The incident, occurred when the arsonists believed to be after the life of her second son, Emeka Orizu who was recently elected as chairman of Little Wood Estate, Obosi, allegedly sneaked into the compound at about 3p.m., quietly sprinkled some liquid substances suspected to be Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) all over the building, including its roof top and ignited the fire on it.

When the traditional ruler of Obosi, Igwe Chidubem Iweka visited the scene yesterday, it was discovered that not even a pin was recovered from the bungalow as both the zink, window louvres and all the household items were consumed by the inferno.

Narrating the incident to Igwe Iweka, Orizu said he left the house at about 2 p.m. for Ihiala on a condolence visit to his in-laws only to be called on phone by his wife at about 3.30 p.m. to inform him that somebody told her that their house was on fire.

Orizu further told the monarch that he noticed some clandestine movements by some undesirable elements around the house before he left for the condolence visit. He said he had already lodged a complaint at the Obosi Police Station where he even mentioned names of those he suspected to have set the house on fire.

He said the same persons who are opposing the Igwe are also after him because shortly after he won an election as chairman of Little Wood Estate, Obosi, he fired a warning signal to all the cultists and illicit drug peddlers residing at the Estate to relocate or he would expose them, as he was not ready to harbour them in the estate.

He also noted that the opposition approached him and requested that he should lead their boys to the bush to drive away Igwe’s land committee members and take over the control of the lands but he refused on the ground that the Igwe is the custodian of all the lands in Obosi and that he would support the traditional ruler’s fight against cultism, drug trafficking and other forms of criminalities in the area.

He disclosed that following his resolve to sustain the war against drug trafficking, the same arsonists who are working for some influential persons opposing the Igwe, launched their first attack on him on June 25, 2015 when they shot at him during a wake-keep, but he escaped death. He noted that, on the second occasion, they attacked him again with axe on July 26, 2015 and on November 1, they trailed him after a thanksgiving ceremony but he escaped for the third time. According to him, they now decided to set his house ablaze last Saturday, December 12 because he had been out of town.

Responding, Igwe Iweka described the incident as a dastardly act and called on the state government and law enforcement agencies to investigate the matter with a view to bringing the culprits to book.

TIME Finally Names Woman As Person Of The Year In 29 Years

After 29 years, TIME has finally named a woman as its Person of the Year.

The magazine announced on the “Today” show this morning that German Chancellor Angela Merkel beat out Donald Trump, Russian President Vladimir Putin and ISIS leader Abu Kabr al-Baghdadi for its yearly honor.

Merkel has made headlines this year for opening Germany’s borders to thousands of refugees and for managing Europe’s economic crisis.

Female Somali Journalist Killed In An Explosion From A Bomb Planted In Her Car

Hindiya Haji Mohamed, a female journalist working with Somalia’s national television station, SNTV was killed when a bomb exploded under her car in Mogadishu Thursday December 3rd. Mohamed was returning home from university when the bomb detonated. She later died of her wounds at the hospital. Her late husband, also a journalist with the same television station, was killed in a suicide attack on a Mogadishu restaurant in 2012.

“Hindiyo died at the hospital of the serious injuries she sustained, we are very sorry about her death,” said Abdirahin Ise Ado, director of Radio Mogadishu. “We condemn the killing… she was dedicated to serving her county and the people,” said Minister for Information Mohamed Abdi Heyr Mareye in a statement. There was no immediate claim of responsibility but Al-Qaeda’s linked Al-Shabaab have been carrying out regular attacks against government officials and journalists. Mohamed left behind a son.

South African Court To Sentence Woman For Online Baby Sale

A mother pleaded guilty in a South African court to having tried to sell her baby on the Internet for 5,000 rand (346 dollars), a report said on Tuesday.

The 20-year-old woman said “I admit that my actions were unlawful and intentional, I have no defence.’’

Police said that the woman was arrested in October following a tip-off from a member of the public who said that a baby was being sold on the website called Gumtree.

She was freed on bail and placed under house arrest, to be sentenced on Feb. 29 at the Magistrates’ Court in the eastern town of Pietermaritzburg.

Woman Finds Photos Of Her Husband Having Sex With Her Mom

Distraught Reddit user Awakiri2 told the site she’d found photos of her mother having sex with her husband in an old shoebox and had no idea how to confront him about it.

In the post, she says she was cleaning out a bunch of shoeboxes when she found a USB drive inside one of them and decided to check out what was on it. Bizarrely, she found over 50 photos of her husband and her mother having sex that she says were taken before they got married because “they were at my mom’s house but she doesn’t own that house anymore.”

She explained that she originally met her husband because he was working for her mother, but it never occurred to her that they could’ve been interested in each other since her mother is 30 years older than he is and now she has no idea what to do with this information.

The rest of Reddit chimed in with similar stories (one user said she knew a woman who dated a younger man and later introduced him to her daughter, who he married) and advice for her.

17 Year Old Pastor’s Son Rapes And Murders 14-Year-Old Girl In Delta

A 17-year-old son of a pastor has allegedly killed a 14-year-old girl after raping her, while her nine-year-old sister escaped with wounds inflicted on her by the suspect at Sapele, Sapele Local Government Area, Delta State.

The incident occurred at Oduduru Road, Sapele, same street where a kidnap gang shot dead a young pastor, Great Oduduru, last week.

The kidnappers were said to have trailed a businessperson to the area.

A source said worshipers at the suspect’s father’s church were shocked at the conduct of his son,
which they described as unbecoming of cleric’s son.

Dad Demands Abortion After Surrogate Learns She’s Having Triplets

A man who paid a surrogate to have his baby became overwhelmed when he learned she was having triplets and demanded the woman abort one of the fetuses while threatening her with financial ruin, she claims.

“They are human beings. I bonded with these kids. This is just not right,” mom-to-be Melissa Cook told The Post on Tuesday.

Cook’s heart-wrenching dilemma comes as Gov. of New York, Andrew Cuomo and state lawmakers are weighing whether New York should lift its ban on commercial surrogacy, which was enacted in 1993.

The babies’ dad, a Georgia man, hired Cook for $33,000 to have a child by in-vitro fertilization using his sperm and the eggs of a 20-year-old donor.

The California woman was implanted with three embryos, which defied the odds to all go on to develop normally.

Cook, 47, said she and the man learned she was having triplets when the embryos were around 8 or 9 weeks. He almost immediately began to raise concerns, and they have grown increasingly threatening, she said.
Cook, a mother of four, including her own set of triplets, is now 17 weeks pregnant.
She also had a fifth child as a surrogate.

California law says that aside from life-threatening exceptions, fetuses can’t be aborted once they become “viable,’’ or around 20 weeks.

The dad “understands, albeit does not agree, with your decision not to reduce,” his lawyer, Robert Warmsley, wrote in a Friday letter to Cook, who has never met the sperm donor.

“As you know, his remedies where you refuse to abide by the terms of the agreement, are immense include, but are not limited to, loss of all benefits under the agreement, damages in relation to future care of the children [and] medical costs associated with any extraordinary care the children may need,” the lawyer warned.

Cook received another letter from Warmsley on Tuesday urging her to schedule an abortion for one of the fetuses — by day’s end.
A day earlier, Cook argued in an emotional letter to the dad:

“The doctor put in three healthy embryos .?.?. The chances were high they were all going to take. You knew I was 47 years old. If you knew you only wanted two babies, then why put in three embryos?”

Given the pressure she’s under, Cook said Tuesday that she was wavering on her decision to keep all three babies.

“I have to reduce. I’m scared. I don’t want to suffer,” said Cook, who is split from her husband and lives in Woodland Hills, Calif.

Woman Buys Entire Toy Store, Donates Toys To Homeless Children

New York City philanthropist Carol Suchman, who recently purchased an entire toy store’s worth of toys as holiday gifts for homeless children in the city. Suchman donates toys regularly, but this year on a much grander scale after noticing a shuttered toy store advertised as for rent in her neighborhood— a toy store still full of toys. She told NY1 she contacted the owner and “negotiated” a deal to buy all the contents in bulk (adding that the owner was “thrilled” with her offer) which she then passed along to NYC’s Department of Homeless Services.

A DHS spokesperson said that they frequently benefit from “generous sponsors” and “toy drives” regularly, but “this is the first time anybody ever bought out an entire store and donated to the children of shelters.” While telling TODAY.com that she’s thrilled by the positive response to her generosity — the waitress in her local coffee shop gave her a kiss, even — Suchman added simply that “everyone can use a gift around the holidays.”

Rapist Jailed After The Woman He Tried To Rape Tracked Him Down On Facebook

A young woman who was sexually assaulted by a man she met outside a nightclub tracked him down on Facebook after he mentioned they had friends in common.

Chanel Purchase, 21, found the picture of 22-year-old James Huggett after trawling social media following the attack in April last year.

The man – who did not tell her his name – had offered to walk Miss Purchase home, but pinned her to the floor and tried to rape her just metres from her front door.

On Tuesday, Miss Purchase, from Sheerness, Kent, told how she believes combing Facebook helped bring her attacker to justice.

The young woman, who has waived her right to anonymity to warn others about the dangers women face, phoned police after the attack but immediately began her own investigations.

Although he did not tell her his name, and he does not have a Facebook account, the attacker spoke about their mutual friends which helped Miss Purchase track down the photograph.

She said: ‘It wouldn’t have been easy to confirm it was him and identify him if I hadn’t have found the picture so I think I helped solve the case.’

The attack took place after Miss Purchase had spent the evening out with friends at a nightclub close to her home. She had met Huggett outside who insisted that he walk her home.

She eventually agreed but, as they approached her house, Huggett pushed her to the ground and launched the assault, pulling down Miss Purchase’s underwear and attempting to rape her. When she struggled and screamed, he fled.

That night, Miss Purchase – who is planning to train as a midwife next year – called the police who immediately sent out officers to take a statement and DNA swabs.

Determined to see him swiftly brought to justice, Miss Purchase then trawled through social media in a bid to track him down.

After finding a photo of him, Miss Purchase informed police of his identity. Huggett, of Minster, Kent, was arrested the next day.

Speaking after his conviction last week at Maidstone Crown Court, she said: ‘I think he should get a few years. I will never feel safe if he was released.’

During the trial the jury heard a neighbour had been in bed when she heard a noise and looked outside to see what she thought was a scuffle between two people.

Prosecutor Simon Taylor said one was straddling the other and pinning them down. He said: ‘It was then that she saw the person on the ground was a female and heard her shout “get off me, and if you don’t get off me I’ll scream”.

The court heard how, when the woman screamed, the man ran off and the neighbour recognised the victim as Miss Purchase.

Huggett initially denied meeting the victim but then admitted seeing her outside the nightclub. He then claimed they cuddled

and kissed on the cheeks before he went home to change into jeans.

But he denied trying to rape the woman and said Miss Purchase had mistakenly identified him as her attacker.

He later said that he had given a false alibi – including to his legal team – because he did not want to involve his parents in the trial as they grieving from the death of their son Craig.

‘I lost my brother in a motorcycle accident and it was only a couple of months before this,’ he told the jury.”

I haven’t hidden my love for “Hello,” just like many other people. The buzz has been absolutely worth it and one cannot but admire this young lady who has mastered and stayed true to her craft with all the simplicity and elegance anyone could muster since she blessed the world with the sounds from her vocal cords by the release of debut album seven years ago.

Adele has won several awards, was named one of the most influential people in the world by TIME magazine in 2013, and the success of her second album, 21, (the longest running number-one album by a female solo artist in the history of the UK and US album charts) earned her numerous mentions in the Guinness Book Of World Records. “Hello,” the lead single of her latest album is a world number-one hit, and is the first song to sell over one million digital copies in its first week of release. And you know the most inspiring part? She achieved all these while keeping her clothes on! A rarity in today’s world where it is generally believed that sex sells and a woman has to show quite a good portion of skin in order to be relevant in the entertainment industry. Adele’s numerous feats in the music industry has shattered that erroneous notion.

In Nigeria alone, there are at least ten covers of “Hello,” done by ten different artistes, in such a short space of time. Attesting to the widespread belief that it is no ordinary song, and by extension its composer and singer is not your run-off-the-mill artiste. This young lady, who can now be rightly referred to as a pacesetter once got flak for her weight, but maintained that she loved her look and would only consider losing weight if it affected her health or sex life. If that isn’t confidence then I don’t know what is. In a rapidly evolving world where beauty is determined by how close one can look to the rake thin models on the covers of glossy magazines, or voluptuous video vixens who have had cosmetic surgery in a bid to look as perfect as possible, it takes one who’s well grounded and comfortable in their own skin to remain true to their values in spite of the enormous pressure to succumb to societal norms and expectations.

I have always told anyone who cared to listen that it doesn’t hurt to be good looking (beautiful, handsome, cute, pretty, and other adjectives you may think of), but I have also always maintained that there has to be more to a person than their physical attributes. As much as most of us pray to be well advanced in age, before kicking the bucket, we as sure as daylight don’t look forward to that time when our skin starts to wrinkle as we grow older, and begin to have loose skin and a far less attractive gait. The not-so-good news is that these are realities that must come to pass for anyone who wants to grow old, and so it begs the question, “For how long can our attractive face and body really carry us?”…”For how long can we really sell bodily sexiness?” I don’t care about the amount of plastic surgeries you can afford, the fact is that nature has its way of showing up whether we like it or not. For all the multiple cosmetic surgeries popular comedienne, the late Joan Rivers had, she still looked like an old woman before her death, and she certainly couldn’t do anything about the croaky voice or slow movement that came with her age.

A ghastly accident can in one swift moment transform a very beautiful woman into a “monster.” An accident may cause memory loss (mostly in the short term), but cannot wipe out a person’s intelligence as it is a stable trait which includes many aspect of cognitive functioning. Sex appeal fades with time and age, whether we like it or not. The decline in the careers of former raves of the moment, Mariah Carey, Tony Braxton are pointers to the fact that it is virtually impossible to keep up with the demands of the ever visual entertainment industry, where new and younger acts ensure that the aging older ones lose their sex appeal very fast. Even the gorgeous Halle Berry is not the same person every guy was crushing on many years ago. Such is the short life span of the physical; which is why the wise ones constantly reinvent themselves or devote themselves to causes that can outlive them.

Very few attributes stimulate the body, as well as the mind like intelligence. The people we accord lasting respect are the intelligent ones. We may be attracted to a person for their looks, but we respect and look up to them because of their intelligence and what they have been able to achieve with it.

Intelligence is the charming quality that isn’t vain (by human standards anyway), it is the beauty that never fades. It is the attribute that sustains attraction over time because it is relatively constant.

Woman Makes Bread Using Yeast From Her Vagina

Feminist blogger Zoe Stavri, who writes at Another Angry Woman, woke up on Saturday with the typical signs of a yeast infection, she wrote in a blog post.

But due to her self-described “slightly perverse sense of humor,” she decided to try baking bread with her yeast. Woman who Tried to Kill Her Husband for the 2nd Time Gets Busted By One Stupid Mistake

A British woman who tried to kill her husband has been sentenced to 15 years in jail after a spelling mistake got her busted!

55-year-old Jacqueline Patrick was really fed up with her husband, Douglas Patrick because she didn’t just try to kill him once, but twice!

Douglas, who is a London bus driver, was left fighting for his life on Christmas Day in 2013 after Jacqueline poisoned his favourite drink, she had put anti-freeze in his cherry Lambrini and gave it to him alongside a late night supper.

The Inner London Crown Court heard that after he collapsed, Jacqueline forged a note that said Mr
Patrick did not wish to be revived which she gave to paramedics. Police however realised the note had been forged when they spotted the word ‘dignity’ on it had been misspelled as ‘dignaty’. When they asked Mrs Patrick to write the word, she made the same mistake.

Her daughter, 21 year-old Katherine Patrick, also pleaded guilty to inciting her mother to administer a noxious substance and was jailed for three years.

Reacting to the crime, police said Mr Patrick had been lucky to survive the plot:

Mr Patrick came very close to dying and while he lay in his hospital bed fighting for his life, his wife told lie after lie to cover her tracks. Perhaps most shocking of all was the note she gave to the London Ambulance Service purporting to be from her husband, stating that he did not wish to be resuscitated.

This was a calculated and well-planned plot and I am pleased Patrick admitted her crimes and her daughter also pleaded guilty to her role in encouraging her mother to act in this appalling manner. Their actions will now see them spend a considerable period behind bars.

This was the second time Jacqueline had tried to poison her 70 year old husband with anti-freeze after making a previous attempt in October 2012.

Woman Missing And Presumed Dead For 10 Years Found Living In Internet Cafe

A woman who vanished 10 years ago and was presumed dead has reportedly been found living in an internet cafe.
Missing for a decade, it’s alleged she has been living and playing games in the cafes since 2005.
Xiao Yun, who is now aged 24, left her home in the eastern Chinese province of Zhejiang and has not been seen since.
But she was finally found by police officers on Nov 20 after a routine check on an internet cafe, reports The Strait Times.

The woman, who was carrying a fake ID card, was taken to a local police station where she revealed that she had been living in internet cafes for the past decade.
She is said to be a particular fan of the multiplayer first-person shooter game CrossFire , and relied on handouts and occasional cashier shifts at cafes.

The police fined her £5,000 and contacted her parents so they could be reunited.
Her mother told the Qianjiang Evening News she had not changed her phone number since her daughter left home.

“I have a stubborn personality and a short temper, so I used to scold her. But it’s been 10 years and now she’s an adult. I will never scold her again,” she said.

BIZARRE: Woman Stabs, Slit Open Pregnant Friend’s Stomach To Steal Baby

On Friday, 22-year-old Angelikque Sutton was supposed to marry Patrick Bradley, the father of the child she had carried inside her for nearly nine months. Instead, she was gruesomely murdered by a friend who cut her baby out of her womb and pretended the child was hers.

“It’s my baby!” is what Ashleigh Wade, also 22, reportedly told cops when they arrived at her Bronx apartment and found her sitting on the stoop with bloody hands. The boyfriend whom she called and asked to come over “because she did something really bad,” was cradling Sutton’s baby in his jacket. Inside Wade’s apartment lay the body of her friend which had been stabbed several times in the neck and torso; across her stomach was a deep gash from where Wade cut the baby out of her. In the bathroom, authorities found the placenta and umbilical cord, which Wade cut herself; a bloody knife laid nearby.

Wade initially tried to convince police she’d given birth to the baby herself but eventually confessed that she’d stabbed Sutton “as many times as she could” in self-defense. Wade claimed Sutton tried to attack her with a knife and after wrestling it away from her she then stabbed her friend in the neck and only cut her stomach open to save the baby. Early on the morning of September 16, 1995, a friend of my dad’s—a 38- year-old writing teacher named Steve Oliver—picked me up for a trip from Eau Claire to Madison, Wisconsin. We were going to oversee the layout of a book of my writings. Although I was only 13 years old and in the seventh grade, Oliver had told my dad that he’d submitted my work to Random House, and they actually wanted to publish it. I packed CDs, a tee shirt, a pair of pants, and a swimsuit. We left at 7 a.m., while my brothers, sisters, and stepmom were still sleeping. Another shows her lounging in a tank top wearing heavy makeup while pouting at the camera.

Her brother, Youssouf Aitboulahcen, said his estranged sister preferred the Internet to Islam — and first put on a veil just a month ago.

“She was living in her own world. She was not interested in studying her religion. I never saw her open the Koran. She was permanently on her phone, looking at Facebook or WhatsApp,” Youssouf Aitboulahcen told DailyMail.com.

Neighbors told the Times of London that Aitboulahcen was considered a bad Muslim, and a female friend said she once caused a scene while wasted in a German nightclub.

“She got very drunk and sprayed tear gas around the whole place,” the pal said.

“Basically, she just got angry with a guy who was trying to chat her up and became furious.”

“I think she had a very disturbed childhood, and she had a lot of problems. She really did drink a lot,” the woman added.

Another friend, Amin Abou, 26, described her as a “party animal who loved clubbing.”

A man from east China’s Anhui province killed himself two weeks before the date of his wedding, reportedly due to the immense pressure to buy “betrothal gifts” for the bride’s family, according to his parents.

Xiaolei got engaged to his sweetheart, Lanlan, last December and was soon asked by his fiancé’s family for 10,000 yuan and other gifts. The total value of the “bride-price” came to more than 30,000
yuan.

A month later, however, the woman’s family asked for another 20,000 yuan and more gifts such as cigarettes and wine, which is thought to be the breaking point for Xiaolei. Sadly, he jumped from a construction site in Shanghai where he worked just two days after the family’s request.

Overwhelmed by their son’s death, Xiaolei’s parents have pointed the finger of blame at the family of the bride-to-be, Lanlan. They said Xiaolei complained to them once that the “endless” requests for gifts were “extortion” and unbearable.

On March 30, the parents sued Lanlan, demanding that they return all the cash and other gifts including jewelry worth more than 30,000 yuan and an iPhone. The court gave the verdict that all cash should be paid back but rejected the request of returning other goods

Woman Sentenced To Death For Hiring Assassin To Kill Her Daughter

Convicted of capital murder for persuading a family friend to gun her daughter down on a remote dirt road in Russell County on July 5, 2007, Lisa Leanne Graham was sentenced to the death penalty.

After a jury convicted her March 5, Judge Jacob Walker III initially set a sentencing date of May 1, but then postponed it so Graham could have a psychological evaluation. Walker noted then that Graham had been diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and was taking medications prescribed for schizophrenia.

Wednesday’s sentencing is not the end of the story, as Graham is expected to appeal, a process that will add new chapters to what even veterans of the criminal justice system found to be a sordid and surreal story of a mother whose jealousy and disdain for her daughter led to a cold-blooded murder on an isolated Russell County road.

Graham was accused of persuading longtime family worker Kenneth Walton to kill daughter Stephanie Shea Graham, who went by Shea. Walton said the mother met him at the Columbus Public Library that day and loaned him her pistol for the job.

He caught up with Shea at a Victory Drive gas station, where she left her car with friends and rode off in Walton’s pickup truck. He took her on a long, night drive down Alabama Highway 165 before pulling off on Bowden Road so they could relieve themselves.

When she got out to squat beside the truck’s open passenger door, he pulled out the pistol and shot her in the head from the driver’s seat, then got out, walked around the truck and shot her again and again.

He left her half-nude body where it lay, and drove away. Asked in court how his deadly betrayal of a young woman who trusted him made him feel that night, he replied, “I felt normal.”

Because witnesses saw Shea leave the gas station with Walton, investigators focused on him immediately. He confessed, and told them of the mother’s involvement, particularly of the pistol he had returned to her the next day.

Lisa Graham further incriminated herself when authorities came looking for the gun. She had given it to an elderly neighbor she knew as “Papa” to clean, but told sheriff’s investigators she didn’t know where it was, and allowed them futilely to search her house before her husband told them “Papa” might have it.

Finding ample evidence of her involvement in the homicide, they charged her with murder. Russell County District Attorney Ken Davis said the circumstances warranted the death penalty

TMZ describes the culprit as a grumpy “older woman” (whose age is then cited as 30 so, come on, cut the world a break, please) who was later arrested on the grounds of “offensive behavior.” Oh, and as she was being arrested, she spat on the police officers, so assault charges were also added to her prospective rap sheet.

Woman Docked For Stealing Grinding Machine

A 38-year-old woman, Mary Irabor, was on Tuesday arraigned in an Oredo Magistrates’ Court in Benin for stealing a grinding machine.

The Prosecutor, ASP Sylvester Omor, said that the accused along with others now at large, committed the offence on Aug. 22, at No. 741 East Circular road, Benin.

Omor told the court that the grinding machine that was valued at N35,000 , was the property of one Janet Iria.

He said that the accused also obtained credit facility of N120, 480 under false pretext from one Evelyn Edobor.

The prosecutor said the offences contravened sections 516, 419 (1) (a) and 390 (4) (a) of the Criminal Code Cap. 48 Vol. ll laws of the defunct Bendel State of Nigeria, 1976, as applicable in Edo.

The accused pleaded not guilty to the three-count charge of conspiracy, fraud and stealing.

The Magistrate, Mrs C.A. Nwoha, granted the accused bail in the sum of N50, 000 and a surety in like sum.

Nwoha adjourned the case till Nov. 27 for hearing.

According to Thames Valley Police ,

A 43-year-old woman was arrested under section 19 of the Public Order Act.Section 19 relates to “the display of written material which is threatening, abusive or insulting with the intention of stirring up racial hatred, and for producing malicious communications.”

The woman has been named locally as April Major, proprietor of Oxfordshire at-home salon Blinks of Bicester.
She has not as yet been charged with an offence.

Go ye into the world be fruitful and multiply, oh! yes that’s what the good book says. However certain people take this literally. They see children as a blessing from God and they view it as their duty to fulfill this prophecy by promoting procreation, rejecting all forms of birth control, including natural family planning.

Children are viewed as a reward from God and the more children one has, the more one has been blessed by God but the big question is, does this put food on the table especially in this hard times?!!

I’m still trying to wrap my head around why the poor have more children when they can’t afford to raise them. And why the rich have fewer children when they can afford to have more. The population demography of any society is vital in Nation building and governments around the world have effected policies to control this growth.

A very good example will be China’s one child per family policy, which has now been upgraded to two. It will be commonsensical to say that people breed their kind this means a rich family is most likely to have rich children, and a poor family, poor children. In Nigeria we have a large majority of low income earners who are multiplying the number of children they have. Children they can not afford to take care of. So wouldn’t it make common sense to say that the less one earns, the less children you should have?

This is one of life’s ironies.

People who are rich and can afford to have more children will not yet those that can not afford it do. Low income spouses spend more leisure time together than families of high income earners. It will be typical in our society today, to see a high income family where both couples are gainfully employed, close work late and get home from a hectic day too tired and stressed to indulge in any intimate act but the lower income earner seem to have more leisure time and less distractions to focus on their love plays with their tomato selling wives. Why is this so?

Breeding children has become a recreational sport for the poor, I feel this is an issue that we all collectively as a society need to address. I use to think that it was mostly in the rural areas that this kind of demography is rampant but that’s not the case, the other day I was shocked to find out that a friend’s security guard who earns 30,000.00 naira monthly has two wives and ten children. Hummmmm, How on earth are they going to survive on that, what type of education, feeding, clothing can he provide for them in today’s Nigeria. Don’t they understand that intimacy between spouses is also an occasion to be savored and pleasurably enjoyed and not just for making babies?

We all need to wake up to the harsh effects that this is having. Government needs to have more enlightenment and sensitization programs that will address this issue. There is a need to inform the populace about the harmful effects of having children that one cannot afford to raise properly. The most obvious aftereffects are when you see children hawking in the street in order to fend for their families. This is not an issue for the government to tackle alone, the private sector also has to join in. The first solution will be circulating constant information about family planning: Due to a range of factors including education and location of living, poor women don’t have access to as many family control measures as richer women so richer women have substantially fewer “unintended” pregnancies than poorer women.

For all my brothers and sisters coping with survival I urge you all to think more about family planning, I know God blesses us with children but we must learn to plan our family according to our means. By the way, I have 9 children but thank God my school fees days are over or else e for hardooooo. So my simple summary today is, cultivate your sperm according to your pocket size. A word they say, is good for the wise.

Mom Kills Son Before Taking Her Own Life In Arizona Hospital

A mother of a patient at a suburban Phoenix children’s hospital took her son’s life before taking her own, police said.
Nurses at Cardon Children’s Medical Center in Mesa found the woman and her 5-year-old child dead inside the child’s room while conducting a 2 a.m. bed check Saturday, Mesa police spokesman Steve Berry said:

“Every two hours they do a check,” Berry said. “They were seen alive and fine at midnight and then found at 2 a.m.”

The mother had a fatal gunshot wound, Berry said. He could not describe how the child died.
Upon finding the pair, the nurses immediately called for trauma units as well as security. An off-duty police officer was already working at the hospital, according to authorities.

Investigators believe the mother killed the child and then herself. Nobody at the hospital recalls hearing any gunshots or suspicious activity, Berry said. The boy was in a private room.

Berry told KPHO-TV that the woman was 27-year-old Tammy Griffith, and the 5-year-old’s name was Helious.

Police have completed their investigation of the scene and the room has been turned back over to the hospital. No one else in the hospital was threatened or harmed.
According to Mesa Police Department Det. Steve Berry “Everything was kind of confined to that one room,” he said.

According to police, the boy had been hospitalized for the past week. Berry declined to say why the boy was hospitalized, citing privacy rules.

Banner Health, which owns Cardon Children’s Medical Center, said in a statement that each of their health care centers have a policy that prohibits weapons of any kind.

“The safety of our patients, associates and visitors is paramount to us and is our top priority,” the statement said. “Our thoughts are with the family and their loss at this time.”

The mother currently had an open case with the Arizona Department of Child Safety but she was the boy’s legal guardian, Berry said.

Meet The Woman Taking On Boko Haram

Hafsat Mohammed uses hope to counter hate, but the activist knows the threats she faces are all too real.

On a long, barren road in northeastern Nigeria, Hafsat Mohammed, squeezed into a public minibus, saw the gunmen materialise from the bush like a mirage.

The 33-year-old was on her way to Maiduguri, the capital of Borno State and the epicentre of the Boko Haram insurgency, when two Hilux pickups swerved onto the road ahead.

The minibus stopped. Men in combat fatigues and balaclavas emerged from the first pickup and aimed their guns at the windshield. They ordered the passengers out onto the hot tarmac. The second pickup sped off towards a nearby village.

The men beat the passengers with their guns, jeering and calling them names as they did so.

A former radio journalist-turned-civil society activist, Mohammed wasn’t usually afraid to speak up; she thought she might shout or scream, but, instead, she found herself mute.

“I was praying in my mind,” she recalls. “I did not dare pray out loud.”

Then they opened fire.

Mohammed remembers how the dead body of a woman fell on top of her and how she lay there, beneath it.

She heard the screams of two women as they were forced into the pickup. Then the gunmen were gone, leaving tyre marks behind in the dirt.

They had killed five passengers, but Mohammed was unharmed. She and the other survivors, including the driver, got back into the minibus and drove off.

I first met Mohammed in January 2014, just weeks after the attack. She was back at her office in a nondescript high-rise in Kaduna city, the old political capital of the north, gearing up for initiatives to tackle religious intolerance in Nigerian schools.

For the past year, she had been working at the grassroots, community-led Interfaith Mediation Centre, founded by a Muslim imam and a Christian pastor to address interreligious violence.

In sentences often punctuated by a loud, raucous laugh, Mohammed spoke about her work and the attack.

“It motivated me to go back to the northeast,” she said. “It was something that kept on bothering me: ‘What do you do to conquer this [violence]’?”

Her answer to that question has been to try to counter violent extremism by engaging young people at the grassroots level, getting them to imagine a different future and their individual ambitions for it.

“I was in that bus and I saw hell,” the mother of two reflected. “But it motivates me to work for peace.”

Woman Is Charged With Trespassing After Being Bitten By Tiger

A woman in Omaha was accused of trespassing after sneaking into a local zoo and being bitten by a tiger on Halloween night. Jacqueline Edie, 33, is currently being treated for injuries on her left hand at the Creighton University Medial Center. Edie, who showed signs of intoxication and acted aggressively towards hospital staff, allegedly snuck into the Henry Doorly Zoo & Aquarium Saturday night to pet an 18-year-old Malayan tiger named Mai.

Zoo officials say that upon reaching into the animal’s cage, the tiger bit Edie’s hand and caused severe trauma. A friend then transported Edie to the hospital.

Police say the incident may have occurred at 4 a.m and it’s is currently under investigation by the Omaha Police Department.

How Edie managed to enter the zoo is still under investigation. Executive director Dennis Pate told Sky News additional cameras are being installed at the zoo, which is currently staffed by 24-hour security personnel and equipped with computerized locks for entry and exit points.

Zoo patron Ron Hegg told Omaha.com the tiger’s actions were understandable. “It’s not like it got loose and attacked someone,” Hegg said. “It was just protecting its territory.”

Russian Plane Crash: Toddler’s Body Is Discovered 20 Miles From Crash Site

The baby girl’s body was located more than 21 miles from the main crash site, indicating that the plane may exploded earlier than aviation experts have previously thought. That has forced investigators to widen the search area – and could lead to the discovery of otherwise missed clues.

Mrs Gromova happily dubbed her daughter ‘the main passenger’ as the young family set off on a hard-earned vacation to Sharm el-Sheikh.

The remains of little Darina were sent to Cairo on Thursday after being found miles from the main crash site in the Sinai Peninsula.

Her parents Tatiana and Alexei Gromov, aged 26 and 27 and pictured on their wedding day just over a year ago, have yet to be found

Russian experts say no signs of explosives have been found on the bodies of the victims of the plane crash, but a Russian aviation official said Thursday the investigation was looking into the possibility of an object stowed on board causing the disaster

‘There are two versions now under consideration: something stowed inside (the plane) and a technical fault. But the airplane could not just break apart in the air – there should be some action. A rocket is unlikely as there are no signs of that,’ the Russian official said.

Meanwhile, ISIS representatives have repeated its claims that the militant jihadist organisation was responsible for the crash, adding it would eventually tell the world how it carried out the attack.

Let others know that you’re proud she’s your girl. Brag about how much you love it when she cooks your favorite food. Hold her hand in public. Escort her like a gentleman. Get her a drink at the party. Most of all, tell her you love her and show her you do.

• Be silly with her. One of the best parts of a relationship is having those moments together when you’re both just enjoying each other’s company. Re-tell the awkward moments when you were dating. Or the first time you got embarrassed in front of the other. Who says play time ends when you’re no longer a child? Laugh and connect. These are precious memories that will reinforce your bond.

• Ask her what she would like to do on those special occasion days throughout the year. But don’t ask an open-ended question. Ask her to choose between Choice A, Choice B, or Choice C. For example, “Hey honey, your birthday is coming up. I was thinking we could either try that new restaurant you’ve been wanting to go to, or I could pack a picnic and we could hike that trail we’ve been talking about, or I could set up a spa day and we can get massages since I know you enjoy them.” The point is you plan the date. This shows that you’ve taken the time to 1) notice her interests and 2) make an effort to plan something that will make her feel extra special.

• Give her your full attention. Women are social creatures. We like to talk! We just want to tell you something funny happened at work or something new that we’ve learned or that something is on our minds. Even if it means you saying, “Would it be ok if we talk in a little bit? I really want to finish watching this game and then I am all ears.” Most women would accept that. And if the information/situation is really urgent, we would say so.

• Acknowledge when you mess up. Recognize that you hurt her by your words or actions. A simple statement either verbally or written will do. It has to be genuine. It should also be done privately so that there is no distraction and an opportunity for conversation can take place. Include suggestions on how both of you can avoid that situation from happening again. This shows that you’ve done some reflection. Perhaps you can mutually agree that she does this and you do that, so that anger and frustration are minimized in the future.

• Offer her help when you see her struggling. No one knows her better than you. You notice she’s not her usual self, she seems stressed, quick to snap back. Women tend to be overwhelmed with the “to do” list inside their heads. Instead of saying, “What’s wrong with you?” Ask her, “How can I help you?” And when she spouts off a list of things to do, instead of absorbing the stress, calmly reassure her that you’re there to help her and ask her to prioritize the top two items that you can do. When you’re done folding that basket of laundry and packing the kids’ lunches, go back to her and tell her that you’re ready for the next task. She’ll know that she can count on you.

By engaging in these six activities, you will show your love and appreciation for your girl and she will reciprocate. That’s what a partnership is all about. Your woman will indeed, be happy and you will be too.

Gunmen In Bayelsa Kidnap Pastor, Demands N300m As Ransom, N200k As Money For Phone Calls

A pastor of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, New Anointing Chapel in Yenagoa, Bayelsa, Mark Christmas, has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen in his hometown.

The pastor’s wife, Evelyn Christmas, said her husband was kidnapped with two other persons on October 18.

She said the incident happened in their hometown, Biseingbene, Ekeremor Local Government Area, Bayelsa. Mrs. Christmas said her husband was invited to the community for a meeting by unknown persons on the fateful day.

“When he got to the community, he found out that the invitation was not only false but a devilish plan to kidnap him,” she said.

Mrs. Christmas said the pastor had stayed over two weeks in their custody as they demanded N200, 000 for all their phone calls and N300 million as ransom.

“It is over two weeks and I have not heard or seen my husband but some of our family members, who live in the village, told me that they spoke with them.

“I planned to contact the police, but the family members said that I should not involve the police to avoid incurring more danger.

“The reason is that my husband might be killed by the hoodlums if the police is involved in the matter,” she said.

Mrs. Christmas described the situation as ”very painful”.

She said she prays her husband comes home alive.

The Police Public Relation Office in Bayelsa, Asinim Butswat, said the family had not reported the matter to the police.

“They have not reported the incident to us, but if they come to us, we are ready to mobilise ourselves,” Mr. Butswat said.

Video: Saudi Woman Defies Driving Ban

A new video has surfaced on social media, purportedly showing a Saudi woman taking the wheel in defiance of a ban on driving by females in Saudi Arabia.

The footage, uploaded on the Internet on Sunday, displays a woman who appears to be driving in the Saudi capital city of Riyadh.

“I drive occasionally, but nobody has ever filmed me; However, this time I’ve decided to do it [myself],” the veiled woman says.

She also asks Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud to lift the ban on women’s driving.

The development is the latest in the acts of defiance by Saudi women against the ban on driving by females in the country.

Many similar videos have been posted online, showing women taking the wheels.

In 2011, dozens of women took part in a campaign dubbed Women2Drive, challenging the ban. They posted on internet social networks pictures and videos of themselves while driving.

Saudi Arabia is the only country in the world that prohibits women from driving. The ban stems from a religious fatwa imposed by the country’s Wahhabi clerics. If women get behind the wheel in the kingdom, they may be arrested, sent to court and even flogged.

Saudi authorities have defied calls by international rights groups to end what has been described as a violation of women’s rights.

Husband Stabbed In The Back 3 Times By His Wife When He Decided To Leave His Abusive Marriage

Simon and Crystal Smith lived in Gosport, Hampshire with their four-year-old daughter. The 30 year old was a Leading Seaman in the Royal Navy and had been with his probation-worker wife Crystal for six years. Crystal was volatile. She controlled Simon’s finances and bullied him by threatening to take their daughter away if he ever left her. Little things could trigger her temper – from losing a board game to a bad-tasting gravy.

On the night of 12 February this year, Crystal and Simon attended a navy function for the crew of HMS Lancaster at the Royal Beach Hotel in Southsea. Simon had been reluctant to take her because he knew from experience that a night out could go very wrong. And he was right to worry.

In front of friends and colleagues, Crystal accused Simon of having an affair. It was an unfounded accusation that left Simon publicly humiliated. In the taxi on the way home, Crystal taunted him with a rap-style song. “I’m going to make it rain,” she sang. “I’m going to make it rain with pain.”

At home, Crystal threw a knife block at her husband, sending knives scattering across the floor. Simon calmly left the house, but made the decision to return for his keys and some belongings. Which was a big mistake.

Crystal had lost control and while Simon was in the bedroom packing a bag, she crept upstairs, clutching a kitchen knife. Simon didn’t hear her and was facing away from Crystal when she plunged the knife into his back three times.
Two of the wounds were at the top of his back, but the third went through the rear of his arm and severed an artery. Blood pulsed out, staining the room.

“What have you done?” Simon cried.

Crystal replied, “I’m going to go to prison for this…”

Simon staggered downstairs, applied a tourniquet and collapsed in the porch in a pool of blood while Crystal fled. As Simon called an ambulance, neighbours who had heard the commotion rushed to his aid.
Simon survived the attack but lost six pints of blood. He faced several operations and has not fully regained the feeling in his left arm.
Police arrested Crystal that night and charged her with attempted murder. With a trial approaching, Simon had one major concern. With men so often the abuser in domestic violence cases, would anyone believe that he was the victim?

The trial started this summer at Portsmouth Crown Court. Crystal had pleaded not guilty. The jury heard how Crystal had “crept up the stairs in stockinged feet” before stabbing Simon three times.
They heard about the domestic abuse Simon had suffered, including an outburst where she’d swung at him with a baseball bat and left a dent in the kitchen door.

Simon bravely gave evidence and talked about how his wife had been verbally abusive at the navy function they’d attended before the stabbing.

“I shut it down, tried to ignore it. I knew things would happen when we got home, that’s how it worked. “The phrase she used was, ‘Wait until we get home’.”

Simon recalled the first he knew about the stabbing was feeling the sensation of warm blood running down his arm.

After three hours of deliberation, the jury cleared Crystal of attempted murder but found her guilty of wounding with intent.
At the sentencing in August, Judge Sarah Munro QC addressed Crystal..

“As he calmly packed his bag you armed yourself with the sharpest knife. You crept up the stairs in stockinged feet and as his back was turned, stabbed him with glancing blows and one went through the back of his arm to the front, severing his arterial vessel and spurting vast quantities of blood all over him and you, and down the stairs as he went to get help.”

The judge added, “I’m quite satisfied the consequences of what you did very shortly hit you and at the time you stabbed Simon, you were fuelled by the fury you had worked yourself up to and had the intention to cause him really serious harm.”

She added that their marriage was ‘doomed to fail’.
Simon’s victim impact statement was read out in court. “I was the victim of sustained physical abuse from my wife Crystal over the six years we were together. Crystal was the only serious relationship I ever had.

“Because I had nothing to compare it to I simply accepted it as normal. This incident has had a profound impact on my life and will continue to do so over many years. I have lost feeling in my left arm and it may never return.”

Simon has taken a shore job in order to raise his daughter, and has been left with recurring nightmares.
As Crystal, 30, was sentenced to nine years she doubled over and hysterically cried out, “Please Simon, tell the truth, please Simon, tell the truth.”
The case put the spotlight on the subject of domestic violence against men. After the trial, Simon said he hopes to move on and raise his daughter.

“I expected to be called a liar and be accused of what she accused me of,” he added.

Shayna Hubers shot boyfriend, Ryan six times, one straight in the face after finding out he not only planned to dump her but had a replacement lined up. University graduate Shayna was 21 when she started dating handsome lawyer Ryan Poston, 29.

When the couple were introduced, Ryan had just got out of a long-term relationship and didn’t see Shayna as a serious girlfriend. Almost straight away he lost interest, but Shayna wasn’t happy to end things. The pair dated on and off for a year, with Ryan telling friends he wanted to finish with Shayna but didn’t want to hurt her feelings.

She was sending him endless phone messages and would turn up at his flat unannounced. Finally, Ryan told his step-dad, Jay, he was going to end the relationship. On the night of October 12, 2012, Shayna made a hysterical 911 call from Ryan’s Kentucky penthouse apartment and reported a shooting.

“I’m standing about 10ft from his dead body!” Shayna screamed to the operator. When asked what had happened, she replied, “Ma’am, I killed my boyfriend.”

Shayna freely admitted she’d killed Ryan, but insisted it had been in self-defence. The police weren’t so sure. They discovered Ryan had told his step-dad the day before that he was going to end things with Shayna and had already set up a date that very night with the 2012 Miss Ohio, the gorgeous Audrey Bolte.

Audrey, who was also a runner-up Miss USA, revealed she was looking forward to seeing Ryan on their date. They were due to meet in a bar for drinks and a game of pool. He never showed.

In April this year, Shayna, 24, was found guilty of first degree murder.

Two months later, Shayna was sentenced to 40 years in prison, with no option of early parole and was condemned by the judge for showing zero remorse.

76 Year Old Woman Kills 78 Year Old Husband After He Accused Her Of Cheating

Investigators say a 76-year-old woman charged with murder in her husband’s shooting told deputies she was angry because he accused her of cheating.
Aiken County deputies say Mary Todd also told the officers who came to her Beech Island home around 4 a.m. Tuesday that she drank too much before the confrontation.

Coroner Tim Carlton identified the victim as 78-year-old William Todd. Paramedics pronounced him dead in the couple’s home.

Deputies say they had never been to the couple’s home before for a domestic violence call.

Mary Todd is also charged with possession of a weapon during a violent crime. She is being held at the Aiken County jail awaiting a bond hearing.

Woman Uses 2 Week Old Baby As Collateral For N20,000 Loan

Cross River State Police Command has arrested one Madam Maria Ekanem, 27, for allegedly selling her two weeks old baby for twenty thousand naira.

Others also arrested in connection with the alleged sale of the baby include Mrs Eno Enang, Reuben Eno and Dr Okokon Offiong.
Briefing newsmen on its activities, the Cross River State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), ASP John Eluu, said the police succeeded in tracking down the culprits following a tip-off.

Eluu said on getting wind of the matter, a team of detectives from the Federal Housing Police Station in Calabar, swung into action and finally nabbed the suspects.

He said: “We got a tip-off on the crime a week ago and immediately swung into action which led to the arrest of the five suspects. Four members of the syndicate had negotiated the sale of the baby for N20,000 with Ms. Maria Ekanem, mother of the child.”

The PPRO said investigation was still in progress and when completed the suspects would be charged to court for prosecution.

In her reaction, the mother of the child denied selling her baby for N20,000, insisting that she only used her two weeks old baby as collateral to get money for food

Narrating her story, Maria said: “When I was pregnant I almost aborted the child but I summoned courage and delivered the baby but after giving birth there was no money and I approached one Dr. Okokon for financial help to buy food and feed the family.

“Later Dr Okokon directed me to hand over the baby to Matron Eno, who runs a private clinic and it was while doing the exchange that the Police came and arrested us, I am innocent,” she said.

Police Arraign Female Lawyer For Diverting Company’s N50m

The police in Lagos have arraigned a former director of IT Bureau De Change Limited, Mrs. Ifeyinwa Morah, before an Apapa Magsitrates’ Court for allegedly diverting N50m owned by the firm into a private account.

PUNCH Metro learnt that Morah, who is also a lawyer, headed the company’s Business Development till June 2015 when she was relieved of the position.
She was said to have withdrawn the money from the Fidelity Bank account used by the company on June 18 and deposited same to a Zenith Bank account given as 1000845723. It was learnt that the money had yet to be recovered from the suspect.
The police said the 40-year-old lawyer upon her resignation, left with the company’s Certificate of
Incorporation, Memorandum and Articles of Association, forms on particulars of directors, statement of share capital, operational licence, among others.

She was subsequently arrested and charged on two counts bordering on fraud to which she pleaded not guilty.
The charges read, “That you, Ifeyinwa Morah, on June 18, 2015 at Apapa in the Apapa Magisterial District, having resigned your appointment with IT Bureau De Change (Intl) Limited on June 15 as a director, stole the sum of N50m from the company by transferring same from the company’s account number: 4010765293 with Fidelity Bank Plc to Zenith Bank Plc account 1000845723 maintained by one Francis Ogboro.

“That you, on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned magisterial district did unlawfully remove the company’s Certificate of Incorporation, original Memorandum and Articles of Association, Form CAC (particulars of directors), operational licence in a manner likely to interfere with the usage and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 338 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.”

The accused was first arraigned on September 9, 2015 and was granted bail in the sum of N10m with two sureties in like sum by the presiding magistrate Mr. T. Abolarinwa.

Abolarinwa added that “Evidence of gainful employment must be provided by the sureties and one of them must be a blood relation. The surety must own a property worth N50m and it must be within a prime area within Lagos State. The sureties’ statements of account and their addresses must be verified by the prosecutor.”
The defence counsel last Thursday, when the hearing of the case was to commence, asked the court for adjournment on the grounds that she had just been told to take over the matter, adding that she needed time to prepare her defence.

The magistrate granted her request and adjourned the matter till January 20 and 27, 2016 for hearing on the matter.

Woman Who Survived Lagos Collapsed Building Dies

The septuagenarian woman, who survived the Wednesday collapsed building in Lagos State has died.

Lagosmetro gathered that the old woman, who was the last person to be rescued from the debris of the collapsed building died at the Lagos Island General Hospital.

The woman, who was very unconscious, when she was rescued, was yet to regain her consciousness, when she passed on.

Ibrahim Farinloye, the spokesperson of the Natuonal Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), South West Nigeria confirmed the death to Lagosmetro.

Farinloye said that he received the news of the woman’s death on Thursday evening and described the death as “very sad.”

90 Year Old Woman Who Donated 1M Naira To PMB Returns From Dubai Hospital

The 90-year-old Hajiya Fati Koko, popularly called ‘Mai Talle Tara,’ who suffered a stroke while returning from Abuja where she had gone to witness the swearing-in of President Muhammadu Buhari on May 29, has returned to Nigeria from the United Arab Emirates city of Dubai where she received a government-sponsored medical treatment.

Mai Talle Tara, a popular businesswoman from Kebbi State, came to fame after she donated her N1million life’s earnings to support Buhari’s presidential campaign.

The Kebbi State government took the responsibility of her medical expenses and flew her to the Iranian Hospital in Dubai on October 4.

Mai Talle Tara returned on Sunday evening after spending two weeks at the Dubai hospital where she was treated for stroke.

Speaking to journalists in Abuja on Sunday night, Mai Talle Tara thanked President Buhari and the Kebbi State government for their efforts toward giving her adequate medical care.

There are many people in Nigeria experiencing mental problems. Mental health includes your emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It determines how you think, feel, and act. It also helps influence how you handle stress, relate to others, and make choices.

Community education on mental health is quite limited across the country. This has resulted in a situation wherein children and adults with mental problems are labelled ‘mad’ and treated solely as persons requiring psychiatric care. This has limited community care and support to such persons, who continue to be discriminated against, stigmatized and marginalized. For children, this situation also increases risks of abuse and exploitation.

‘Voices’ represents two dimensions with respect to advovacy on Mental Health – Psychosocial Support (MH-PSS). It signifies the need to bring to the forefront the voices of people experiencing mental problems, and those in their immediate social environment so that services are designed and delivered in a manner that is accessible and responsive to their needs. It also touches on an important and sometimes neglected area in mental health – ‘the hearing of voices’ by some people with schizophrenia, one of the many mental problems that confront our communities today. Hearing of voices is many times misunderstood and ignored, yet it provides an avenue for relating with and supporting such persons. Voices can be critical or they can be complementary and many people may be able to find ways to live with them. It’s difficult to explain what it is like to hear voices, particularly if you’ve never heard voices yourself.

Art/Drama/Theatre is an active tool for engagement and for raising awareness around Mental Health Issues such as hearing voice.

Playback Nigeria, an art-based organisation in Nigeria have created a theatre piece titled ‘Voices’, a theatre piece that creates awareness on mental health. The intention is to create awareness on the need to focus on the full range of MHPSS services needed to support persons with mental problems, and to engage with participants on how to support persons experiencing mental problems.

Partnerships to stage ‘Voices’

The staging of voices is being done through collaboration with World Health Organization (WHO), International Organization for Migration (IOM), and United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), as part of a broader advocacy initiate of the MHPSS Reference Group.

Residents Nab Suspected Boko Haram Member Dressed As A Woman

A man suspected to be a member of the Boko Haram sect and wearing a woman’s attire, has been arrested by a vigilance group in Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State.

Alhaji Abubakar Bello, the General Manager of Birnin Kebbi Central Market, made this disclosure to newsmen in Birnin Kebbi on Wednesday.

Bello said that the man was caught within Birnin Kebbi central market with the assistance of traders and customers in the market.

The market manager said that he was unaware of the suspect’s motive of appearing in a complete woman’s dress.

“People are now more conscious than ever as they are conscious of any suspicious movement lurking around,” Bello said.

He said the suspect was apprehended by the vigilance group after an alarm was raised by the people in the market.

“We later alerted the security agencies in the state on the development and we handed him over to them for further investigation,” he added.

When contacted, ASP Nafi’u Abubakar, the state police command’s Public Relations Officer (PRO), confirmed the development.

Abubakar, however, disclosed that the suspect had a mental problem and was a staff member of the state-owned Jega School of Health Technology.

He said that not a single weapon was found on the suspect.

“After the suspect was handed over to us for further investigation, we found out that the suspect either had a mental disorder or was a mad man.

“He will be examined further by medical doctors to ascertain his health condition,” Abubakar added.

6 Year Old Boy Found Dead In School Bus After Being Left There For Hours

Abdul Malak Al Awadh, 6, was sleeping when the bus reached his private school in city of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. According to Saudi daily Okar, all the students got off, but none of them woke him up.

The driver took the bus to the parking lot and left it there until the end of the school day. By the time he returned later to pick up students, Abdul was found dead, having died of suffocation in the bus..

Abdul Malak’s father and uncle said that the school was responsible for his tragic death.

“My nephew did not suffer from any ailment or health issue when he got on the bus with his classmates to go to school,” Abdul’s uncle Yahya Al Awadh, told Okaz. “When he was late to come home at the end of the school day, his father became worried and tried to contact the school, but no one answered him. He later received a phone call from the school administration informing him that his son was sick. He went there with his wife and both had the shock of their lives when they heard that their only son was dead. They felt devastated.” he added.

The uncle said the family was puzzled over the absence of a chaperone to accompany the young students on the bus to and from school. He said the family was also shocked that the school had failed to contact them to ask about the reason their son did not attend classes that day.

The head of the education district in Jeddah Province Abdullah Al Thaqafi, ordered an immediate investigation of the incident. The police launched their own probe into the tragedy. “Investigators are questioning all parties following the medical report that determined the causes of death,” a security source said.

Woman In Labor Dances “Whip/Nae Nae” Between Contractions

You might picture a woman in labor writhing in pain and screaming for ice chips. That woman is not Akilah Wooten.

While in labor at the Atlanta Medical Center, Wooten decided she would not settle for the squats recommended to move the baby down. She decided she would Whip Nae Nae — the popular dance that goes with Silento’s hit “Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae).”

“She came in labor but the baby was sitting high in her pelvis,” said Angelina Ruffin, the certified nurse midwife who filmed the hallway dance that’s gotten almost 1 million views on YouTube since it was posted on Oct 1. “I told her to get moving and walk or do squats, but then I didn’t see her for awhile.”

“I rounded the corner and there she was with her sister and cousin dancing. I had to film it,” Ruffin added.

Ruffin said she thinks the dancing “definitely helped” speed up Wooten’s labor. “Every time I checked her the baby had moved down,” noted Ruffin.

Wooten gave birth to a 9 lb, 6.5 ounce baby girl just a few hours later.

Nigerian Pilgrim Returns N.5m To Afghan Mate, Gets Free Hajj Seat

A pilgrim from Nasarawa State Mallam Suleiman Bello has been rewarded with a free seat for the 2016 hajj after he returned about half a million Naira he found in Ka’aba, Makkah to the owner, an Afghanistani pilgrim, Alhaji Mosa Gousdin.

According to Daily Trust, Bello found the bag containing the money while doing Tawaf (circumambulation) in Ka’aba. The money was in various denominations. $2,345 (N466, 655), SR303 Saudi Riyal (N16, 076.84) and 3,020 Afghanistan currency (N9, 370.64) totaling N492, 102.44.

The Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) Abdullahi Mukhtar Mohammed who handed over the money to the owner in the presence of other Afghan officials in Nigeria’s Makkah office, announced a free seat for the pilgrim for next year’s hajj as a way of rewarding for his exemplary attitude.

“He (Bello) chose to fear Allah knowing he would account to Allah on the Day of Judgement. He chose to be a good ambassador of Nigeria. He took the property to his state pilgrim officials and they brought it to us so that we can return it to the owner. This shows that Nigerians are honest and God-fearing,” Mohammed said.

Bello said he was contented and never tempted to go away with the money.

A 24 year old man identified as Fidel Lopez has been arrested of killing his girlfriend after she screamed her ex-husband’s name twice during sex, The 24-year-old brutally murdered his girlfriend Maria Nemeth by cutting open her stomach, disemboweling her by ripping out her intestines and ovaries before shoving a hair iron into her body. Her crime was that in the height of sexual pleasure she mistakenly called out the name of her ex-husband twice during sex.

Police officers were called to Lopez’s apartment early Sunday morning after he called 911 to say that his girlfriend was having trouble breathing and was going to die. When officers arrived, they found the naked body of Maria Nemeth on the bathroom floor next to a large amount of blood.

According to the police report, there were “several chunks of bloody tissue on the floor inside the closet.” Police said the closet door had been ripped out and was on the hallway floor, and there were holes in the dry wall. Police said the rear sliding glass door was shattered.

During an interview with detectives, Lopez said that he and Nemeth were drinking tequila inside his apartment when they began to have “rough sex.” He said Nemeth asked him to put a beer bottle and his fist inside her vagina, saying that it was her idea and that she enjoyed it, the report said.

Lopez said Nemeth then went into the bathroom to vomit, and he later found her having trouble breathing, so he called 911, the report said.

Detectives said Lopez later admitted that Nemeth “became very intoxicated” and they ended up inside the closet, where they started to have sex. It was during sex that Nemeth said the name of her ex-husband twice, enraging Lopez, detectives said.

Lopez began to break things throughout the apartment, shattering the sliding glass door and punching holes in the wall, detectives said. He then returned to the closet, where Nemeth was lying unconscious, and “began to insert several items into (her),” the report said. Among the items noted in the report are a beer bottle and a flat iron.

Detectives said Lopez gave them a graphic description of how he stuck his arm inside her vagina and anus “all the way up to his elbow,” causing her to bleed. Lopez admitted to ripping internal tissue out of her, including intestinal matter, detectives said.

In the report, Lopez told detectives that he became a “monster.”

Lopez said he carried Nemeth to the bathroom and tried to put water on her face to wake her up, but she never regained consciousness, the report said. Lopez then washed the blood off his hands in the bathroom sink, went outside to smoke a cigarette and then began to panic, taking items from the closet to cover up the bloody tissue, the report said.

When he returned to the bathroom to check on Nemeth, Lopez noticed that she wasn’t breathing, so he decided to call 911, detectives said Lopez told them.

Nemeth worked in the leasing office at the Colonnade Residences, where her body was found.

“We’re devastated,” neighbor Dan Carter told Local 10. “There’s a black cloud hanging over this apartment complex. Now the neighbors are sad. It’s a horrible loss.”

Lopez is being held without bond at the main Broward County jail.

She talked to BuzzFeed News about the reasoning behind the blood-soaked depiction:

“That he thinks he can bring up the healthy functioning of women’s reproductive systems to insult women’s intelligence is a big problem that I think needs to be called out.”

The bright red luster of the original painting has, according to Levy, faded to brown in the days since she created it.

The Syrian refugee who was tripped by a Hungarian camerawoman as he held his terrified son in his arms says he cannot forgive her.

Osama Abdel-Muhsen Alghadab was trying to cross the Hungarian-Serbian border when he was tripped by Petra Laszlo, causing him to fall on top of his seven-year-old, Zaid.

Mr Alghadab, 52, originally from war-torn Deir ez-Zor in Syria, and his son suffered bruises when they were tripped as they were attempting to escape the crush of a large crowd of refugees.

‘There were thousands of people and they were holding us there until a coach came to take us to the border,’ he said. ‘It was a very small area with a huge crowd.’People started to lose patience and wanted to walk the 10km to the border – the police were standing there to stop people going.’It was chaotic, people started to push. I didn’t see where it came from, I didn’t know if it was a camerawoman or a policeman. I just felt myself falling to the ground.’

Mr Alghadab, who has since seen the footage of the incident and another clip of Ms Laszlo (who has since been fired) kicking a young girl, added:

‘How can I forgive her?’

She has since apologised and claimed ‘something snapped’ inside her.

Mr Alghadab suffered bruising on his chin when the Hungarian camerawoman tripped him and Zaid had bruises on his leg and chin.Later in the evening, Zaid was vomiting as a result of the shock, his father said.

Responding to Ms Laszlo’s claims that she thought she was being attacked at the time, Mr Alghadab added: ‘People would not attack the media because the media were very nice to the refugees.

36-Year-Old Woman Jailed For Life For Attacking Her Husband With Acid

Vernicia Ruguru was yesterday, September 9, found guilty and sentenced to life imprisonment by an embu court for burning her husband, Patrick Njue with acid on July 16, 2012 in Embu North, Kenya.

The 36-year-old claimed she committed the offense in self-defense, after the husband attempted to splash the acid on her. However, Principal Magistrate Robinson Oigara dismissed the claim stating that she would have sustained some injuries if that was the case.

On the day of the incident, the defendant is said to have prepared the children for school, completed her house chores then later walked into their bedroom where Patrick was lying in bed, and splashed acid on him. She then locked the door and escaped only for the neighbours to hear screams from the house, before coming to Njue’s rescue.

Evidence presented in court proved that on hearing the husband was still alive, she rushed to the hospital Njue was admitted, in an attempt to finish her mission. Vernicia Ruguru was sentenced to life in prison but was granted 14 days to appeal the judgement.

Woman Allegedly Killed Her Infant Daughter, Kept Her Body For Months

Christina Colantonio, 28, has been charged with second-degree murder after police found her baby’s dead body in her apartment. It is believed that Colantonio, who was living alone in the Batavia, New York, apartment, killed her daughter shortly after she was born three months ago.

According to The Daily News, police responded to a call from an acquaintance of Colantonio’s reporting a “suspicious condition” at Colantonio’s apartment. “Batavia police detectives were able to determine that the child was born at home and that [Colantonio] kept the deceased infant there for a prolonged period of time,” Detective Sgt. Todd Crossett confirmed at a press conference Sunday night. Colantonio has since been held at a nearby jail without bail.

Though coroners have not confirmed the official cause of the infant’s death, the Associated Press reports investigators have enough evidence to conclude the death was “intentionally caused.” Colantonio has two other children who were not at the apartment at the time the body was discovered, and neighbors told The Daily News she looked pregnant when she was removed from her home.

Crossett said the officers who discovered the baby’s body are currently being offered counseling: “It’s not something you see on a regular basis.”

Woman Grows Gigantic Horn In The Middle Of Her Head

An elderly Chinese villager has been dubbed “the unicorn woman” due to an abnormal growth on her head that looks like a large horn, it’s reported.

Liang Xiuzhen started growing something that resembled a “black mole” on her head around eight years ago, according to her son Wang Chaojun.

The 87-year-old, from Guiyan village in Ziyang City, Sichuan Province, was left stunned when two years ago it gave way to a finger-sized horn-like mass.

Xiuzhen accidentally “broke” that small horn in February – and her current, much larger, horn – which is currently 13cm long -began growing rapidly in its place.

“Now the horn hurts my mother and prevents her from sleeping. It also bleeds from time to time,” said Chaojun.

Doctors diagnosed the so-called unicorn horn as “cornu cutaneum” (cutaneous horn), a keratinous skin tumour that has the appearance of a horn.

Woman Dies After Botched Butt Implant Surgery

The family of a 29-year-old woman who flew to Mexico for plastic surgery and died shortly after the operation is calling for more stringent regulations and warning people against traveling overseas for plastic surgery.

In March, Australian resident Evita Sarmonikas traveled to Mexicali, Mexico, to get butt implants and died shortly after the procedure, according to ABC News. An initial autopsy report listed the cause of death as a pulmonary embolism, but Sarmonikas’s sister Andrea says her family insisted on getting an independent autopsy, the results of which show that Sarmonikas died from a lack of oxygen caused by internal bleeding.

“We wanted to believe it was a natural death, but we knew something wasn’t right,” Andrea said.

Lump Found On Woman’s Ovary Turned Out To Be Her 10cm-Long Unborn Twin

A logistics officer and a mother-of- 2 was horrified to discover a seemingly harmless lump on her ovary was in fact the decades old remains of her unborn ‘twin’.

Jenny Kavanagh, 45, made the grim discovery after she went to the doctors to have a contraceptive coil implanted and medics insisted on an ultrasound of her ovaries due to her age.

Scans revealed a 10cm mass growing in her left ovary and concerned medics warned it could rupture and kill her at any moment.

Surgeons told her it was an undeveloped unborn twin which had grown inside her from birth – complete with face, an eye, tooth, and long black hair.

She said:

‘I feel very lucky that they found it and removed it before it killed me.

‘I try not to think of it too much because I don’t want to feel sad about it.

‘If I’m honest, I did feel sad when I first saw it, because of the size and weight of it, it had already been likened to a baby.

‘But I try not to feel sad about it. I try to remember that it had no heart and no brain.

‘And that it would have almost certainly killed me if they hadn’t found it and removed it.

‘But in one sense there was grief, mixed with happiness.

‘It was like a baby, but I was still glad it was out of me.’

Ms Kavanagh moved to Cyprus in 2005 with her then-husband, to escape the ‘rat race’.

She said she has always avoided doctors and has never visited a gynecologist, but had no problems with either of her pregnancies.

But when she started to have heavy periods she worried it might be due to a coil she had fitted 15 years ago and went to get a new one.

The consultant scanned her abdomen and while her right ovary was totally normal, the one on the left side had a 10cm dark mass, in May this year.

Her doctor assured her it was unlikely to be a cancerous tumour – and probably a teratoma or cyst – but she said she had ‘thought the worst’.

She said: ‘He advised me it would have to come out regardless. If it twisted or ruptured it could kill me.’

After tests proved inconclusive, 11 days later she underwent a three-hour operation to remove the mass at The Mediterranean Hospital of Cyprus.

Doctors agreed to take a photo of the mass on her phone and showed her it when she came around, explaining it was a mass of cells which had been inside her since birth.

Police Arrest Woman For Selling Her Newborn For N70,000

The Enugu State Police Command has arrested a 26-year-old woman for allegedly selling her newly born baby for N70,000.

The suspect, identified as Chinwendu Agbo from Ehalumona but residing at Obolloafor Lodge was said to have sold her baby boy identified as Ngozi Eze which she gave birth to on August 6 for the said amount to another woman.

The woman, who bought the baby allegedly hails from Umuabor Ehalumona but is currently living in Enugu.

The police public relations officer in Enugu, Ebere Amaraizu, confirmed the sad development, disclosing that the command had commenced investigation into the matter.

“The Enugu State command of the Nigeria Police has commenced investigation into the alleged incident of child trafficking at Obolo Afor in Udenu local government area of the state.

“Suspect Chinwendu Agbo of Ehalumona residing at Obolloafor Lodge and about 20 years was said to have sold her new born baby boy identified as one Ngozi Eze which she gave birth to on 6/8/15 at the sum of N70,0000 to a woman at Umuabor Ehalumona but living in Enugu.

“A full scale investigations have commenced as suspects are helping the police in their investigations,” he stated.

68 Year Old Grandma Confesses To Gruesome Murders In Secret Diary

A 68 year old serial-killing ‘Granny Ripper’ who was caught disposing one of her victims,confessed to 11 murders in a gruesome diary..Tamara Samsonova, 68, is thought to have beheaded and dismembered her victims in a reign of terror that lasted two decades.

The pensioner dubbed the ‘Granny Ripper’ entered details of her secret life in diaries which she kept in Russian, English and German, alongside black magic and astrological books.

She was arrested last week after being filmed by CCTV cameras near her home in St Petersburg removing the body of her latest victim in black plastic bag.

Now detectives suspect that the former hotel worker also ate some body parts she removed from the
people she killed, chopping off their heads, arms and legs.

In particular, Samsonova had a penchant for gauging out and eating lungs, it is claimed.

Sources in Russia’s powerful Investigative Committee – equivalent of the FBI – indicated internal organs, in particular lungs, were removed from the bodies of victims.

It is also suggested the self-confessed killer gave her final victim, Valentina Ulanova, 79, an overdose of sleeping pills before dismembering her body with a hacksaw while she was still alive.

She was detained after the headless body of Ulanova – for whom she was a carer – was found near a pond on Dimitrova Street in St Petersburg.Samsonova killed her after a quarrel over unwashed cups, she told police investigating the murder.

Senior investigator in St. Petersburg, Mikhail Timoshatov, said: ‘

Tamara Samsonova says that at first she made her friend [Ulanova] sleep – and then cut her into pieces.’

Police are now comparing her elaborate diary entries with known cases of unsolved murder cases where victims were dismembered, and body parts packed in bags strewn around the city.

A headless, armless and legless man’s body was found on the same street 12 years ago, and evidence found in her flat, including a business card for the victim, links her to the crime.

Samsonova is also suspected of murdering her husband, who she reported missing in 2005. He was never found, dead or alive.

The ‘Granny Ripper’s’ diary excerpts include a chilling confession of murdering one of her former lodgers.

‘I killed my tenant Volodya, cut him to pieces in the bathroom with a knife, put the pieces of his body in plastic bags and threw them away in the different parts of Frunzensky district,’ she wrote.

Detectives in Russia are refusing to release details of her diary until the multiple murder investigation is completed.

Amazingly, given the gravity of the charges against her, in her latest court appearance Samsonova seemed more concerned that journalists were there to report her case – and that her neighbours in St Petersberg were going to find out what she is accused of.

After being remanded in custody, she told journalists: ‘I knew you would come… It’s such a disgrace for me, all the city will know.’

Later she blew a kiss to reporters. When judge Roman Chebotaryov asked her to address the court, she replied: ‘It’s stuffy here, can I go out?’

Mother Discovers Neighbour, 55, Abused Her 14-Year Old Daughter For Two Years

Brown, a mechanic, became friendly with neighbours Anthony, 47, and Sharon Cooper, 45, when they moved into a three-bedroom property in Nuneaton, Warwickshire, with their daughter Natasha (together inset) and son Joseph.

The family quickly became friends with Brown and his hospital worker wife Dawn and the two families would often throw barbecues and parties together. However, the Coopers later discovered that Brown was using their friendship to groom and sexually abuse their daughter, who was just 14-years-old (pictured right aged 14, wearing one of Brown’s hats) when it began in 2010. Brown went behind his neighbours’ backs and tricked young Natasha into thinking she loved him before having sex with her on four occasions. He has now been jailed for three years, while Natasha, now aged 18 (left), has spoken out about the ordeal after deciding to waive her right to anonymity.

She said: ‘It just started off with holding hands when I was 13 while we were walking the dogs, but after a little while he would kiss me on the cheek, and the on the lips.

‘I really liked him and when I was 14, we had sex for the first time in a field. I knew it was wrong because he was married, but I didn’t care. He was so funny and mature, I fell completely in love with him.

‘In the end, I realised what I had to do, and told the police everything. It broke my heart because I felt like I was betraying Will. But I didn’t want our family to be torn apart anymore.’

Brown’s grooming and sexual abuse was discovered after Mrs Cooper saw her daughter and next-door neighbour close in the garden one night.

She confronted the pair, who both denied it, but pushed her daughter on the matter after Brown joked about not being able to keep his hands off the youngster.

The teenager eventually admitted the sexual activity to her mother, who informed Brown’s wife Dawn.

16 Year Old Girl Who Was Stabbed At Jerusalem Gay Pride March Dies From Her Wounds

Israeli high school student, Shira Banki, 16, (left and the one in green with the knife in her back) was one of six people stabbed by ultra-orthodox jew Yishai Shlissel during a gay pride march in Jerusalem on Thursday July 30th. She died today at Hadassah hospital from injuries sustained during the attack. She wasn’t gay…she went to the march in support of her LGBT friends. Sad…

In a statement her family said:

‘Our magical Shira was murdered because she was a happy 16-year-old – full of life and love – who came to express her support for her friends’ rights to live as they choose. For no good reason and because of evil, stupidity and negligence, the life of our beautiful flower was cut short. Bad things happen to good people, and a very bad thing happened to our amazing girl.

‘The family expresses hope for a less hatred and more tolerance.’ The family requests the public respect their privacy as they grieve. We won’t permit the terrible murderer to challenge the basic values on which Israeli society is built.’ Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement after sending his condolences to the family.

‘We reject with disgust any attempt to impose hatred and violence among us and will bring the murderer to justice. Shira was murdered because she bravely supported the principle that everyone has the right to live their lives respectfully and with security.’

\Candlelight vigils held tonight in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem in memory of Shira.

Of the remaining five people wounded in the attack two are still in hospital in a serious condition, while three others have been released from hospital.

Man Kills 41-Day Old Baby Just To Divorce Wife

A 41-day-old baby, Zainab Olajide, has died after she was allegedly poisoned by her father, Kazeem Olajide, in a desperate attempt to divorce his wife. The incident happened at about 7am on Friday at Toluwalase Estate, Ijoko-Abule, in the Lemode area of Ogun State.

Punch Metro learnt that the mother, Abosede Ogundare, had left Zainab with Kazeem to sweep the compound only to come back and met the baby with foams gushing out from her mouth. It was learnt that Ogundare alerted neighbours to the incident having found a bottle containing pesticide with her husband. Continue…

Zainab was said to have been rushed to a hospital in the community, where she eventually died.

Our correspondent learnt that the suspect, who hails from Abeokuta, Ogun State, attempted to flee, but was held by residents, while the landlord of the house reported the case to the monarch of the community, Oba Solomon Sokunbi.

Punch Metro gathered that the father was handed over to policemen at the Agbado Police Division after he confessed to the crime before the monarch.

The couple’s residence was locked up when our correspondent visited the community on Tuesday.

A resident, who identified himself only as Biodun, said Kazeem had been threatening to divorce his wife before the baby’s untimely death.

He said, “He doesn’t love the woman and has been trying to divorce her. He poisoned the innocent baby to actualise his mission. They recently moved to this estate. She was their only child.”

The landlord of the house, who did not want his name in print, said the suspect had denied being Zainab’s father prior to the incident.

He said, “Three days before the incident, Kazeem (Olajide) was looking for a pair of his slippers. When he did not find it on time, he started raining curses. I called him by his daughter’s name, and tried to caution him, but he warned me not to call him by her name again. It was when the incident happened that I realised he might have intentionally killed the child.”

Sokunbi, the Oba of Ijoko-Lemode, said Kazeem owned up to the act, claiming that he was pushed by the devil. He said he had been following the case to ensure that the suspect was brought to justice.

He said, “It was the landlord who came to report the case to me and I directed my chiefs to bring him and the wife to the palace. I asked the husband and he confessed. He said it was the handiwork of the devil.

“I called the police from the Agbado Police Division to arrest him. They said he had been transferred to the state command headquarters. I have been following the case. This is a pure murder case and I want the police to duly prosecute the suspect and let him face the law.”

The monarch added that Kazeem’s wife told him in the presence of his chiefs that she saw the bottle with him two days before the incident.

He said, “The woman thought the bottle contained herbs. She said she left the child with him to sweep the compound, only to return and met Zainab gasping and foaming in the mouth. She said she smelled pesticide in the baby’s mouth.”

The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Muyiwa Adejobi, confirmed that the case had been transferred to the command headquarters, adding that Zainab’s remains had been deposited in a mortuary.

Adejobi said, “The corpse of the baby has been deposited in a mortuary. The case has been transferred to the Department of Criminal Investigation for further investigation.

“We have the suspect with us and he is going to be properly investigated. He and others found culpable in the course of our investigation will be charged to court.”

Man Dies After Drinking 20 Sachets Of Gin In N500 Bet

A middle-aged man, identified as Chucks from Imo State, has died after consuming 20 sachets of gin in a N500 bet with a woman.
The deceased, said to be a barber, is married with a child and lived along Ngwa Road area of Aba, Abia State.

An eyewitness said the deceased had on the fateful day, gone to a nearby local shop situated within the area to take a sachet of his usual brand of gin and boosted to the shop owner that he could finish
20 sachets of the drink.

This was said to have led to an argument between the deceased and the shop owner and other customers in the shop that morning.
The argument, it was learned, reached a stage where the deceased deposited N500 and the shop owner also placed her own N500 in a bet.
The deceased was then provided with the sachet drinks for consumption.

It was gathered that he successfully consumed the 20 sachets of dry gin and went away with the bet money.
The deceased was said to have left his barbing salon earlier that day to his house when he started feeling some pains in his stomach and asked his wife to put on their sitting room ceiling fan and sat directly beneath it.
When his condition got worse, his wife asked him what the problem was.
A source said the deceased told his wife he was okay, but just needed rest.

Woman Took Explicit Photos Of Her Lover Before She Stabbed Him To Death In The Shower

The final moments of Travis Alexander’s life were nothing short of horrific. He was stabbed multiple times and almost decapitated before being shot and left for dead in his shower. Travis’s flat was covered in blood where his body had been dragged and his killer had washed their bloodied hands.

Crime scene photos were shocking, but they were nothing compared to the chilling images found on a digital camera at the scene.

Investigators retrieved deleted photos that showed Travis alive in the shower, posing for the camera as water cascaded over him. Then, in a final photo, the water turned red with blood as his killer accidentally took a snapshot of his murder.

Handsome Travis Alexander, 30, was a marketing salesman who lived in Mesa, Arizona. He was a practising Mormon and a charismatic motivational speaker.

In September 2006, Travis met Jodi Arias, 27, at a conference in Las Vegas. She was a saleswoman living in California and had a passion for photography.

The pair began an intense long-distance relationship, exchanging over 80,000 emails and speaking on the phone for hours. Jodi was so smitten she joined the Mormon faith, but after just five months, their relationship hit the rocks. Travis told Jodi it was just physical and ended it.
Jodi was devastated and moved to Travis’s hometown of Mesa to work as a waitress. Travis told his family that she was stalking him – even claiming she’d crawled through a dog flap, so she could sleep on his sofa. But he continued to secretly have sex with her.
While Jodi thought they were back on track, Travis still refused to commit and, after two years, she moved back to California to live with her grandparents. But it wasn’t over.

A deadly obsession

Two months later, Jodi hired a car and drove to Mesa to see Travis. She filled
up petrol cans for the journey so she wouldn’t have to stop, and turned off her phone. On 4 June 2008, the estranged couple had sex one last time and took explicit photos of each other.
A few days later, Travis’s worried work colleagues couldn’t contact him. Friends went to his flat and discovered the bloody scene. Travis was slumped dead in the bottom of his shower with his throat deeply sliced from ear to ear and a gunshot wound to the head. There were over 27 stab wounds on his body.

Travis had been shot with a 25-calibre gun – the same type of gun that had been stolen from Jodi’s grandparents in a mysterious burglary a few months earlier.
The most disturbing discovery was a damaged digital camera in the washing machine, along with bloodied clothes that had been put through a wash. Police recovered deleted sexual images of Jodi and Travis.

There was a picture of Travis alive and wet in the shower – then another photo that showed the back of Travis’s head, with his arm raised and blood tricking down his neck. Police believed it had been taken accidently as Travis was being killed.
Jodi was interrogated. At first she denied even being at Travis’s home, but when confronted with evidence she changed her story. She claimed two intruders had broken in, murdered Travis and attacked her. It was unlikely.

Finally Jodi broke down, saying she was a victim of domestic violence and that night Travis had violently attacked her. “It was self defence,” she sobbed. When police pressed for details, Jodi’s story was inconsistent and when left alone, she giggled and even did a headstand. She was charged with murder.

Couple Arrested For Defiling And Battering 13 Year Old Girl

A Warri based couple, Mr and Mrs Francis Onyeji have been arrested by men of the Ekpan police station in Delta state for defiling and assaulting 13 year old girl pictured above.

According to ThisDay, the 13 year old JSS 2 girl was constantly subjected to sexual abuse by Mr Onyeji. When the wife, Chibuzor, who is the little girl’s aunt found out, she battered the girl, accusing her she was lying against her husband.

Mr Onyeji, an offshore worker with an engineering company based in Delta state, constantly gave the girl money after sleeping with her and begged her not to tell her Aunt. Recently, the girl took the money he gave her to school where it was was stolen. She raised an alarm and accused her fellow classmates of stealing her N1,500. To ensure that she was actually telling the truth, the school delegated a teacher to follow her home to see her guardians. On getting home, she was interrogated by her aunt and she confessed that Mr Onyeji gave her the money after sleeping with her.

“When my aunt asked me where I got the money from, and l told her it was her husband who gave me the money after sleeping with me, she said it is a was a lie”.

Mrs Onyeji was angry with her, saying she was telling lies against her husband. After the teacher left, the woman descended on the girl. She used hot knife to inflict injuries on the girls buttocks, back, leg and hand.

Mrs Onyeji was arrested and charged before an Ekpan magistrate court on Monday July 6th for physical abuse on the minor. She was however granted bail on compassionate ground as she is a nursing mother of three months old baby.

Mr Onyeji is currently on the run . The state police have launched a manhunt.

Mrs Onyeji is still in police custody after youths in the area threatened they will do to her what she did to the little girl if she returned home. The little girl is currently in the custody of the Delta state Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Welfare and the Nigerian Child Welfare Fund (a non-governmental organisation and will be reunited to her biological parents after the case has been concluded.

The case comes up again on July 21st.

Christian Woman Writes In Support Of Gay Marriage; Read What She Has To Say

I want to start by saying that I am a Christian. I always have been and always will be… and I’m also a gay woman who is happily married to a beautiful British Woman named Megan. Since the recent Supreme Court ruling of legalizing same-sex marriages in the United States, I have seen the ugly and the uglier come out in people I never expected. Having moved to live with my wife in the UK, I find myself in awe at the complete and utter ignorance that has been clogging up my news feed and other social medial outlets in the past few days from my so-called American friends back in the South. It’s important to state that I’m not generalizing all, as I’ve also seen a positive response from those Christian in the South; even including support from an amazing pastor. However, it saddens me that amongst the many rainbow-colored pictures on my feed, there is also a great deal of hatred.

What I don’t understand is quite simply, this: why does gay marriage bother people so much? If you are making an unnecessary palava because you’re offended by gay marriage then you seriously need to look at your own life and educate yourselves a bit. If the sole reason you feel that gay marriage is wrong because it’s a sin, and the Bible tells you this is wrong, then I sure as hell hope you don’t have bacon with your eggs or indulge in shrimp. Oh, or better yet, do you have any tattoos? Ever been drunk, told a white lie or been divorced? Yep, whoops. Those are all sins, too. And all sins are equal, right? I don’t see anyone going off the handle because of any of these ‘sins’ and I most certainly don’t see protests or hurtful propaganda against those. Just because you disagree with something — and we all have the right to do so — it is an absolute disgrace to treat the LGBT community the way you do. What if we treated all sins in this way? Bacon eaters would be doomed.

Therefore, if gay marriage or ‘homosexuality’ doesn’t affect you personally in the way you live your life in any way, why do you feel the need to even get involved? Why worry about something that is, frankly, none of your business? For instance, I’m not divorced, but many people I know are, and I’m not going to judge them. We shouldn’t judge anyone for the way they live their life. If you don’t agree with gay marriage, then don’t have a gay wedding. Simple.

I know what you must be thinking. If the LGBT community can protest and stand up for their rights, then why can’t Christians? They have every right to stand up for what they believe in also… To a degree, yes. Christianity and gay rights will always butt-heads. Luckily, we have the Equality Act 2010 in the UK, where we’ve seen it in the favor of gay rights; e.g. where a gay couple were wrongly turned away from a B&B due to the owners Christian views, to in favor of Christianity; e.g. the nurse who was wrongly fired for telling her lesbian colleague she’s committing a sin. I don’t expect the battles to ever fully cease, but choose your battles wisely. Is this really worth your time? Could your time not be better spent with showing kindness and acceptance — isn’t that what being a Christian is truly about, rather than showing hatred? It is not your duty to judge and tell others how to live theirs to ensure your angelic conscious is clear. However, it does change the lives of the LGBT community and gives us freedom and the same rights as anyone else. This means that now my wife and I, if we ever decide to move back to the U.S., can do this freely and can move to any state. Your hatred towards this is unjust and unfair and don’t even try to the quote the Bible at me; you may want to actually read it first.

To all of the haters, how would you feel if your rights were completely stripped from you because you had a divorce or because you had a baby out of wedlock, for instance? How would you like someone judging and telling you that you’re going to hell because of this?

As a Christian, I wholeheartedly believe that God does not make mistakes and he would not have accidentally made millions of people (and animals) gay by chance. We are all who we are for a reason and no one should ever make you feel bad for that. If anything, my relationship with God is better than ever, and I know that I am definitely not going to hell or that my lifestyle is wrong. It’s important for people to know that you can be a Christian and gay. You do not have to choose one or the other. We need more people like Christian singer Vicky Beeching, who came out as a lesbian last year, to look up to as role models.

So, my dear fellow Christians, from one Christian to another, please mind your own business and PLEASE make sure that your hands are clean before you point your finger at me and my community. Amen.

After EIGHT Miscarriages In Just 2 Years, 27-Year-Old Becomes A Mother… of TRIPLETS

Over the course of two years, Andrea Henry suffered eight agonising miscarriages. Heartbroken, she had almost given up all hope of realising her dream to become a mother.

Doctors revealed the cause of her miscarriages, was a debilitating condition where cysts had grown all over her ovaries. Specialists advised she have her reproductive organs removed. And feeling so broken by the failed pregnancies, she took their advice and booked herself in for the operation.
But when it finally came to having the procedure, she ran away from hospital at the last moment,
unable to give up hope of one day having a baby.

Incredibly, eight years on, she has stunned medics after giving birth to three healthy children, Cayden-Lee, seven, Jessica, five, and Thomas, three.

According to DailyMail UK, Ms Henry, 27, from Nottingham, said:

‘All I’ve ever wanted is to be a mother, so when I lost my first twin babies my whole world fell apart. But I refused to give up and even through the heartbreak of the next seven miscarriages nearly killed me, I had to keep going.’

In 2006, Ms Henry was just 19 when she lost twins three months into the pregnancy.
Devastated, she attempted to conceive again and two months later became pregnant – only to lose the baby at eight weeks.

‘I couldn’t believe it was happening again and I started to worry that something was seriously wrong with me.’

Doctors at Queen’s Medical Centre in Nottingham were ‘bewildered’, she said.

‘They just kept telling me it was one of those things and what we should keep trying,’ she added.

In the two years following, she lost five more babies. In 2007, at the age of 20, scan results confirmed she had ovarian cysts covering her entire ovaries. Doctors said it was highly improbable she could ever carry a child to full term – and that she should have the organs removed.

‘Doctors told me I had no problem conceiving but I could never be able to carry the children and I would miscarry with future pregnancies. I feel into such a deep depression.

The stress nearly ground me down and although I was distraught when doctors told me to get sterilised, I was also reluctant to admit defeat.’

In 2006, on the day of her sterilisation, she fled the hospital, refusing to believe that she could never be a mother. And in a twist of fate, this decision would end up being the best choice of her life.

‘I just couldn’t go through with it. I didn’t want to give up hope.’

Ms Henry then met the man of her dreams, Daniel Ebbern, now 27, and the pair decided to try to have a baby together. She soon became pregnant, but because of other medical conditions she suffered, including lupus, she was not hopeful.

In a bid to increase the unborn child’s chances, she took every precaution to ensure she would become a mother. She cut out fatty foods and caffeine from her diet and ensured her body was well nourished and rested.

She even underwent an agonising five-month stint of daily stomach injections in order to counteract the lupus, and thin her blood – a total 150 injections.

Against the odds in April 2008, she gave birth naturally at 39 weeks to Cayden-Lee, now seven, weighing a healthy 7lbs 4oz.

Kidnapped Wife Of Former Bayelsa Acting Governor Regains Freedom

The kidnapped wife of the former acting governor of Bayelsa State, Madam Martha Nestor Binabo, has been released.

According to a family source, the 48-year- old woman was handed over to a negotiator at Buguma area of Rivers State in the early hours of Sunday.

According to the source, the family adhered to the strict instructions by the kidnappers not to involve the police. She was released with a transport fare of N18,000 and a big fish with directive that she should prepare pepper soup for her husband.

While some family members denied knowledge of a ransom payment, others claimed the sum of N8.2million was paid to secure her freedom.

The source said: “She was well taken care of by the kidnappers. They gave her N18,000 as transport and a big fresh fish to prepare pepper soup for the husband.”

The spokesman of the State Police Command, Astimin Butswat, confirmed the development but said the command was yet to get full details on her release.

Meanwhile, the former governor of Bayelsa State,Chief Timipre Sylva, has visited the Chief Binabo over the abduction of his wife.

Sylva expressed happiness over the bold spirit of the former acting governor in spite of the abduction of his wife.

According to Chief Sylva, he decided to visit Binabo along with party faithful, to show solidarity and encourage others on the mission of the APC.

“I am happy that Binabo was upbeat despite the kidnap of his wife. This is the hallmark of a leader. It meant for us to be prepared for any eventuality that comes our way. Let me urge all to be steadfast as there would soon be a change in governance in the state.”

Sylva, who said he was his back in full force to participate in the politics of the state, added that he had deliberately ignored Governor Seriake Dickson all this while because he had a national objective of ensuring that his party, the APC, wins in the last national election, but “now that that objective has been realised, I can now face the government in the state.”

The announcement comes after months of rumours about the couple, who share three children together; Violet, nine, Seraphina, six, and Samuel, three.

Man Commits Suicide in Abuja Over Failed Marriage

A father of four, who lived at Jiwa in the Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC) of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), last Saturday, committed suicide.
He allegedly drank a dangerous substance, suspected to be an insecticide after several attempts to bring back his wife, who left her matrimonial home along with their children.
Family sources, who spoke to City News on condition of anonymity, informed that the late Sunday Ogul, who hailed from Kogi State, parted ways with his wife about three months ago, during which he threw out her belongings at night after a misunderstanding.
He, however, became more worried recently when he unsuccessfully tried to bring her back from their village, the family source added.
A family member of the deceased, who did not want his name mentioned, explained that the deceased had visited his wife in their village to negotiate how she would return with their children.

The source added that he gave her the sum of N10,000 for transportation from the village to Abuja.
“When he came back, he sent additional N5,000 to her through a bank, and lastly, N15,000, all in an effort to bring her back. But all his efforts were in vein, as she had informed him that her parents did not give their approval for her return,’’ the source said.
Also speaking, the deceased’s landlord, said he once told him that he was more worried about their children’s education, especially as they were not in school since they relocated. He revealed that his tenant’s lifeless body was first discovered by a friend, who visited him.
“The friend, who called his name severally from outside without response, had to go inside, where he also called him without response. It was at this juncture that his friend discovered he was no longer breathing, and noticed an empty container of insecticide behind him.
The deceased wife could not be reached for comment on the incident as she was said to be in their village in Kogi State.
When our reporter visited the Gwagwa Police Station, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) was not on seat but a senior police officer at the station confirmed the incident.

After a bombshell sexual harassment lawsuit that rocked the tabloids, a former Wall Street worker has won a whopping $18 million from her former boss.

Hanna Bouveng, 25, from Sweden, sued Benjamin Wey, 43, owner of the New York Global Group, claiming he pressured her into a sexual relationship and retaliated by firing and harassing her after she broke it off.

According to Bouveng, Wey, who is married, began pursuing her after he hired her in 2013, but she rejected him. Eventually, after renting her an apartment, gifting her with the likes of Prada bags, and plying her with alcohol, he wore her down — and she was apparently traumatized. “She was debased. She was degraded. She was defiled. He was delighted … He thought he owned her,” attorney David Ratner reportedly told jurors.

Hanna ended the relationship, refusing to have sex with him again, but “he said if I didn’t show him tangible love, he was kicking me out by August 1,” Bouveng told the court of the events that led to her firing.

And this is where the retaliation comes in: Wey began publishing nasty stories about Bouveng on his blog, and, jealous of her new boyfriend, he emailed racist comments to her father. The harassment escalated to the point where Bouveng felt the need to leave the country and go back to Sweden — but Wey found her in the café where she was working, an allegedly threatening gesture that “felt like an intent to destroy whatever I would do,” Bouveng said.

Woman Hospitalized For 4 Days After Wearing Skinny Jeans & Squatting

Associated Press reports a woman spent four days in a hospital with muscle damage after squatting repeatedly for hours while wearing skinny jeans. This is completely horrifying.

The 35-year-old woman (whose name has not been released) was helping a friend move and spent several hours squatting while she cleaned out cabinets. She said her legs began to feel numb. Then while she was walking home she fell and could not get up from the ground. She was stranded for hours before she managed to get help and get to a hospital.

At the hospital, where medical staff had to cut her out of her jeans, she was diagnosed with muscle damage, swelling, and nerve blockage, all linked back to squatting in the tight jeans for too long.

Dr. Thomas Kimber of the Royal Adelaide Hospital in Australia where the woman was treated told reporters in an email he was surprised by the severe damage to her muscles and nerves.

“I think it’s the non-stretchy nature of jeans that might be the problem,” Dr. Kimber explained. With a stretchier fabric, her nerves and muscles might not have been squeezed as hard. He advised the patient to avoid squatting if she wears skinny jeans again but is there even a possibility that she might? If I was in a hospital for four days because of a pair of pants I would burn them and every pair that reminded me of them.

A MAKURDI High Court presided over by Justice Jennifer Ijohor, has sentenced a 38- year-old housewife, Mrs. Ternenge Tersoor to death by hanging for killing her husband’s second wife’s one-year-old son.

Kidnapped Woman Found After Sending Text From Attacker’s Phone

A text message cry out for help potentially saved a Tennessee woman’s life this past weekend in Slidell.

Early Saturday evening (June 6th), Slidell Police were contacted by a woman from Tennessee who stated her sister had been kidnapped, raped, beaten, and was being held against her will at a Slidell hotel.

After speaking with Tennessee authorities, it was determined that 34-year-old, Lee Meadows (of Clarksville, Tennessee), was a suspect in the kidnapping of a woman, and was recently released from jail on domestic abuse related charges.

Slidell Police swarmed the hotel in which the victim was being held captive, and breached the door of the hotel room after Mr. Meadows refused to answer the door. When officers gained access to the room, they found the victim badly beaten and in need of medical attention. Mr. Meadows surrendered without incident and was placed under arrest. The victim was brought to a local hospital to be treated for multiple injuries, including broken bones. Slidell Police investigators then began to debrief the victim about her terrifying ordeal.

The victim told police she was taken against her will from Tennessee, and brought to Louisiana, because Mr. Meadows wanted to get out of the state due to pending criminal charges. Mr. Meadows allegedly had friends in the New Orleans area, which was why he decided to come to Louisiana.

Throughout the ordeal, Mr. Meadows took all of the victim’s belongings, including her cell phone, so she couldn’t contact anyone. After arriving in Slidell, Mr. Meadows checked into a local hotel, then continuously beat, strangled, and raped the victim. The victim, not knowing where she was at, was able to send a text message for help to her sister; indicating she was somewhere outside of New Orleans. Authorities in Tennessee were able to obtain the location in which the text message was sent, which ultimately led Slidell Police to the hotel.

Lee Meadows was booked at the Slidell City Jail and charged with: battery by strangulation, second degree battery, false imprisonment, and forcible rape. Mr. Meadows has since been transferred to the St. Tammany Parish Jail.

Slidell Police Chief Randy Smith said,

“Had it not been for the determination of the victim to survive, and the swift actions by Tennessee authorities and the officers at the Slidell Police Department, we could easily be working a homicide right now. Hopefully our criminal justice system will put Mr. Meadows away for a long time to where he won’t be able to hurt anyone ever again.

Woman In Police Net Over Fake Church Testimony

Mrs. Blessing Emeka Eze, 25 years old who has been going from one church to another claiming that her 8-year-old daughter was kidnapped and released after 11 days in captivity has been arrested.
The Owode, Ogun State-born domestic servant was caught by members of Four Square Gospel Church, Obawole, Iju station, a suburb of Lagos State, southwest Nigeria, on Sunday, 7 June, 2015 where she had gone to give false testimony that her 8-year old daughter who was kidnapped at Ogba area of Lagos State was found at Mile 2 after 11 days. She also told the congregation that precious told her that she was fed with raw food and raw meat which made the Pastor of the church, Rev. A.S. Adekunle to order that the
girl be taken to a medical centre on Old Akute Road for treatment.
On getting to the hospital, the 8-year-old girl who was wearing pampers was observed by the doctor on duty and the doctor said nothing was wrong with the girl.
But the mother insisted that something was wrong with her.
At a point, the doctor prescribed that she has to be on observation in addition to giving her drip to flush out any disease she might have contracted.
Again, her mother objected and demanded that the girl be given only injection.
While the argument was on, two men came in and identified the woman and the same daughter as the person who gave a similar testimony the previous Sunday at Christ Apostolic Church in the same Obawole and the church donated N5,000 for her to take care of the child.
After she was threatened with arrest, she opened up and said the girl was not kidnapped as she alleged, adding that she was only using the girl to make ends meet.
She was subsequently handed over to the police at Iju Police Station, Red House, Iju Ishaga, Lagos State for further investigation.

Meet 60 Year Old Woman Who Claims Boko Haram Respects Her

Meet Madam Aduke Jimoh, a brave woman, who has spent 60 years of her life traversing the northern part of Nigeria, buying and selling hide, skin and palm oil.

Speaking with The Nation, Madam Aduke Jimoh, popularly known as Mama Aduke, shared her encounters with the dreaded Boko Haram sect.

She is in her early 80s, very quiet and could easily go unnoticed in a crowd. Although a businesswoman had made money and acquired properties, she is philanthropic and does not live ostentatious life. In her compound in Owo, Ondo state, there are heaps of animal hides and skin, kegs of palm oil, packed in all the corners.

When asked how she got around at her age despite the pervading insurgency, she said that she was not afraid of terrorists.

“I don’t fear anybody except God. Walahi! I have come across tigers, bears and some other dangerous animals and even bandits while crossing the Cameroon border; I have also come across the so-called Boko Haram militants, but I can tell you that they respect me.”

Speaking about her succesfull trading business, Mama Aduk said:

“I don’t know any other business other than buying and selling hides and skin, palm oil, and I have been doing this for the past 60years. I buy my products from Muni in Adamawa state; I had my children and trained them there. I have houses in Damaturu, Baga, Bauchi and in some other places in the North. I am a philanthropist. I hate to see people suffer.”

The first time Mama Aduke encountered the members of the Boko Haram sect was about 14 years ago, when they were less aggressive.

“I used to meet them in the bush; they were then armed with their riffles and I would be singing for them: Yaro mbasa Yaro, baba Yaro mbasa times, I came across them three years ago and last year. I remember them saying then Yaro, while they in turn would be dancing. And then they would let me go. They used to tie red scarfs on their heads and leather strings on their waists.

“In recent that part of their grievances was that they don’t want prostitution, they don’t want to see people (women) who go about half-naked and many other things. Some of them were Almajiris before. But later I began to hear news of how aggressive they have become. The first time I heard of them ever killing, was when they killed policemen. I felt so bad because that negates the image I had of them.

“In those days, they hardly gave anybody serious cause to worry. Some of them are in Dorobaga, Oke Dutse, where they used stones to build houses. The other issue I heard them complain about was that our government was bad and that after going through school, young people have no jobs. They also said as an old mother or woman like me is supposed to be entitled stipends from the government and not be working like I was doing,” she said.

Mama Aduke added that the Boko haram members usually sang and danced every time she met them:

“Whenever I see them, they would start singing for me and they would be dancing too. I used to meet them around the Maiduguri border.”

Continuing her narration, Mama Aduke said that the Boko haram members used to tell her that they would stop fighting the day someone like Muhammadu Buhari became president, because all graduates who are out of job would get jobs.”

However, she denied the allegations that Buhari was behind their insurgency as it was widely rumoured.

“Buhari has no hands in it and neither does IBB; people just mischievously used their names because of their fame,” she said.

Aside the Boko haram insurgency, the octogenarian businesswoman stated that she and other traders used to encounter other dangers while traversing the country.

“We use to see dangerous animals like tiger, but I never afraid. Whenever I saw them, I would say ‘Kai na mana!’ and they would go into the river. I remember when some bandits attacked us when our vehicle broke down around Potiskum.

“They did not attempt raping me; you know I am an old woman. They just took my money, 50,000 naira and left,” she said.

When asked if she has some supernatural powers that keeps her from dangers, the woman gave a knowing smile and said “I don’t know”.

Over time Mama Aduke has acquired competence in several languages and is very proud of it.

“If you know the kind of people you do business with, you learn their languages. I speak Yoruba, which is my language; I speak Hausa language, like I’m chewing kolanuts; while the French language for me is like speaking my Owo dialect. So you see, I am a linguist,” the woman said proudly.

“I came back home due to my old age. I had all my children in the North and they all went to school there. Today they are scattered all over; some are in the US, the UK, and Nigeria, practicing their different chosen professions. As I speak, I not only have landed properties in the North, I also have houses. So I am blessed. Some of my children are still in Damaturu. However, my husband is dead,” she said.

Mama Aduke revealed that she knew President Muhammadu Buhari before he was elected, adding that she had no doubts that he would deliver all his campaign promises.

“I know Buhari; now that he has come, there will be peace. He is not the greedy type, he has only one house. He is also a generous man. I remember when I met him during a Ramadan festival, we all went to his house where he fed us and gave us money.”

Woman Dies Shortly After Getting Butt Enlargement Injections

A woman from Maryland, 34-year-old Kelly Mayhew, died shortly after getting silicon injections for a butt lift in Queens, NY and police say the person who was performing the procedure was unlicensed and ran away from the scene.

Authorities say Mayhew and her mother drove to the Far Rockaway house to get silicone injections for a butt lift. During the procedure, which was being performed in the basement, Mayhew began to have difficulty breathing.

Her mother started performing CPR and asked the woman to call 911, but instead fled the scene, driving off in a gray SUV. Detectives are looking to talk to her.

By the time Police responded they found her unresponsive. She was rushed to St. John’s Hospital, where she was pronounced dead. EMS attempted to revive Mayhew, but they were unsuccessful.

Mayhew’s mother told police it was at least her daughter’s fifth cosmetic surgery.

The auapect is suspected of administering illegal silicone injections in a makeshift medical room in the rented basement.

Police and the medical examiner’s office are investigating what lead to the death.

Mayhew was a freelancer at BET Networks and worked at their DC office. A spokesman released the following statement:

“We are saddened by the death of our colleague and friend, Kelly Mayhew. Our hearts go out to her family, and we extend our deepest sympathies for their loss.”

Mayhew is just one of many victims who have died from black market buttocks injections

Mayhew’s autopsy was conducted Sunday, the day after her death. Results are still pending.

Zamfara Assembly Probes Majority Leader For Allegedly Fighting Driver Over Woman

The Zamfara House of Assembly on Friday directed its Ethics and Privileges Committee to investigate the fight between its majority leader and the governor’s chief driver over a woman.

This followed a “call to order” letter by the state Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Lawali Kaura, and read on the floor of the house under “matters of urgent public importance”.

The Clerk of the House, Isa Bayero, read the letter which urged the lawmakers to investigate the Monday, May 4 brawl to save the state and the party from embarrassment.

The Speaker, Sanusi Rikiji, directed the committee to summon all parties involved, including the woman, security agents, eyewitnesses and other relevant bodies.

Mr. Rikiji warned that any invitee who failed to appear before the committee, headed by the Chief Whip, Abdulmumini Isa, would be treated as a law breaker. The committee is expected to submit its report on June 27.

The majority leader, Salisu Musa (Tsafe North) was involved in an open fight with the governor’s chief driver, Idris Garba. The woman operates a restaurant in Gusau, The majority leader had told journalists that he had “business’’ with the lady for some time now. Mr. Musa said during the fight, the driver tried to bite off his fingers but for the timely intervention of the police. The matter generated mixed feelings among people of the state.

The 65-year-old Olympian revealed that he identifies as female and is transitioning during a ’20/20′ special.

“I’m emerging as myself. Isn’t that great?”

Those were Bruce Jenner‘s words as he sat down with Diane Sawyer during a 20/20special to reveal that, yes, he identifies as a woman and yes, he is currently transitioning. (Editor’s Note: Bruce Jenner said during the special that he currently prefers the pronoun “he,” so that’s what we will continue to use until he indicates otherwise.)

“I would say I’ve always been very confused with my gender identity since I was this big,” Jenner said, referring to himself as a small child.

”Yes, for all intents and purposes I am a woman,” the 65-year-old Olympian also said. “People look at me differently. They see you as this ‘macho male,’ but my heart and my soul and everything I do in life, it is part of me, that female side is part of me. It’s who I am. I was not genetically born that way.”

The interview was very emotional for Jenner, who talked about his various family members’ reactions to the news and his fears about letting people down. When asked by Sawyer if he ever regretted taking part in the Keeping Up with the Kardashians series, Jenner revealed:

“I had the story. We’ve done 425 episodes, I think, over almost eight years now. Meet Adam Lyons, 34, who lives with his two girlfriends, Brooke Shedd(Left), 26, and Jane Shalakhova, 25.(Right)
Adam and Brooke have just given birth to a baby boy, Danté – and the ‘throuple’ hope to raise their child together in Los Angeles.
The trio – who share a super-kingsize bed and take it in turns to have romantic date nights together – insist that they can provide a loving family environment for their newborn.
Adam, from east London, says:

‘We’re just like any other family. Except in ours, there’ll be one dad and two mums who live under the same roof – and there’ll be nothing but love for our children.At high school, I was voted the least likely to ever get a girlfriend. I believed that no girl would ever want me so I withdrew into myself. I became a nerd who stayed at home all day.’

But at the age of 25 whilst he was working as a janitor, Adam decided to learn how to pick up women.

‘I started reading about pick-up artists and how you can use psychology to make yourself more attractive. ‘I would practice by standing in Leicester Square at lunchtime and after work, trying to get girls’ phone numbers as they walked past.In no time, I was sleeping with amazing women I could only have dreamed of back at school.’

Adam became so knowledgeable at seducing girls that he started a career as a dating coach – running the popular YouTube channel AFCAdamLondon.

‘After being a nerdy loner all my life, I was suddenly leading this Hugh Hefner lifestyle.
‘It felt like I could sleep with any beautiful woman that I wanted. At one point, I was dating fourteen girls at the same time – it was crazy!Dating all of these girls became very stressful and boring – I realised that really I wanted to fall in love and settle down.’

In 2007, Adam met Alexandra*, who was five years his junior, at a nightclub in London and fell in love with her.After dating for a year, they got married and started their new life together in Texas, USA where Alexandra came from.Adam explains:

‘I was madly in love with Alexandra and our life together was perfect.We had a very traditional, monogamous marriage. We were like any other normal, happy couple.’

But after three years together, things between the couple began to sour when Alexandra still wasn’t ready to have children with Adam.He says:

‘I wanted to have kids as soon as possible but Alexandra had no interest in having any yet.The baby issue started causing other problems in our relationship. But Alexandra and I still loved each other and we didn’t want to get a divorce.’

In a bid to save their marriage, Adam and Alexandra decided to give ‘polyamory’ a go – meaning they could have other sexual partners besides each other.

‘After many discussions, we chose to ‘open up’ our relationship and start seeing other people as well as each other.Alexandra and I figured that if we had a polyamorous marriage, then perhaps we would have a better chance of staying together.
‘Alexandra started sleeping with a few different guys and I started dating a woman I met in a bar. It was great!It brought the two of us closer together. We’d sit on the sofa and talk about the fantastic sex we were having with different people.

‘I even met and became mates with some of the men Alexandra was dating. It was really good bonding for us – chatting about our sexual exploits was a turn on and we’d go make love to each other afterwards. It helped our relationship.’

But things got complicated between the pair when Alexandra suggested that Adam sleep with one of their mutual friends, Brooke.

‘Alexandra and I were really close friends with a woman called Brooke, who was bisexual.By 2012, I had started spending a lot more time with Brooke – playing videos games and going on nights out together.Soon she’d become one of my best friends. One night, Alexandra and I were chatting about our other sexual partners and she suggested that I date Brooke.

‘Alexandra thought we would make a great match and I agreed. I had always thought Brooke fancied women more that men but Alexandra encouraged me to make a move on her.’

Adam approached Brooke about the idea and the pair first had sex during a trip together.
Brooke, who worked as a bartender at the time, says:

‘I had always liked Adam.We had a lot in common and from the moment we met, there was an instant chemistry between us. Over time, our friendship grew into something deeper.’

The two began sleeping with each other regularly and Adam ended relations with the other women that he had been dating before Brooke. He also realised that he wanted to end his marriage to Alexandra.
He explains:

‘It soon became clear that Brooke and I were in love. Alexandra still didn’t want children any time soon and she’d also begun dating a guy that she really liked too.Alexandra and I had a long chat and in late 2012, we decided to amicably separate. She moved into her own place with the man she was dating and I moved in with Brooke and her son, Oliver.’

Although Adam and Brooke were thrilled to be together finally, neither of them wanted to have a completely monogamous relationship.Adam says:

‘It was amazing to be living with Brooke now and I loved hanging out with her and her son, Oliver.But after trying marriage out with Alexandra, I didn’t want to limit myself to being with just one person ever again.I loved the polyamorous lifestyle because it’s okay to date someone else if one partner can’t provide exactly what you need at that time.’

Brooke says:

‘Equally although I loved Adam, I didn’t want to stop seeing other women.I really pushed for us to have an open relationship too. So Adam and I decided to work as a team and pick up girls to have sex with together.’The first time we slept with another woman was when we went to a strip club and picked up one of the strippers working there.’

Adam adds: ‘We ended up checking in to a hotel and having two nights of incredible sex. I barely slept the whole time!

Most of the time, Brooke and I slept with women together. But there was one occasion when I had sex with another girl during a work trip.
‘I made sure to tell Brooke about it before and we were texting each other throughout which was kind of funny.’

Adam and Brooke continued having casual threesomes together but were also looking for a third woman to permanently join their relationship.
Then in April 2013, the twosome met photographer, Jane, in a nightclub in Texas and immediately hit it off with her.Adam says:

‘I knew Jane was unique from the moment we met her. The three of us clicked as soon as we started chatting

We left the nightclub to go grab some dinner with Jane and then Brooke and I took her back to our house for a few drinks.

Brooke adds:

‘There was an immediate spark with Jane – she was super fun and very intelligent.
‘I knew that sex could have happened that first night but I really liked Jane and I didn’t want to push her into anything. I wanted to see whether this could be something more.’

Jane – who is bisexual but who had only been in a monogamous relationship before – says:

‘I loved how there was no pressure to do anything when I first met Adam and Brooke.
‘We just hung out, spoke and flirted at their house. I had never experimented with polyamorous relationships but with Adam and Brooke, it felt so natural. They were two awesome people.
‘It’s like imagine you meet your soul mate. Now multiply that by two! It’s twice the love.’

Adam, Brooke and Jane met for dinner again soon after and on their third date, the trio had sex. They kept meeting up with each other and fell in love
The threesome insists that their relationship is like any other normal couple’s.

Adam says: ‘We are just like any typical family. We wake up in the morning – Brooke will go downstairs to cook breakfast and Jane will make fresh juice for everybody.
‘Then we’ll sit down at the table and eat together before I head off to work.

Adam, Brooke and Jane say that time management is crucial to the success of their relationship.
Brooke explains: ‘

We have to make sure everyone gets time together so every pair has a set date night.For example, Jane and Adam will go to an art gallery date together on Tuesday and then Jane and I will have a romantic evening on Thursday.

‘On our date nights, Jane and I like to cuddle up and watch a movie. We are a lot more sensual.Occasionally, the throuple like to involve a fourth partner in their sex life.

Adam says:

‘Every so often, Jane, Brooke and I like to pick up another girl. Recently, we all had sex with a female bartender we knew – it was a crazy night of debauchery.’

Brooke says:

‘We are committed to each other. But we would be open to adding another person if we met another girl who we liked and fitted into our lifestyle.
‘It’s not something we’re concerned about at the moment, you can’t instantly introduce someone to your life.
‘In the same way that it’s hard to find one person to commit your life to – there’s three of us who have to agree to the next person.’

For more than four decades, Egyptian mother Sisa Abu Daooh dressed as a man to provide for her family. Last week, she was awarded the “woman breadwinner” award by the authorities in her hometown of Luxor and was congratulated in person by the Egyptian president.

Abu Daooh, 65, was celebrated on Sunday in a ceremony at the Egyptian presidential palace, where she met President Abdel-Fattah El-Sissi and received a prize of about $6,500, Agence France Presse reports. Wearing a traditional male robe and turban while receiving the award, Abu Daooh was praised by the president as “an exemplary working woman.”

Abu Daooh was pregnant with her daughter Houda when her husband passed away in the 1970s, leaving her as the sole breadwinner of the family, Al-Arabiya reported. Abu Daooh quickly found that in a traditional Egyptian society at the time, few jobs were available to illiterate women, and it proved much easier to find work dressed as a man. She took up jobs in brick making and shoe shining, but altered her appearance to avoid being harassed.

“As to protect myself from men and the harshness of their looks and being targeted by them due to traditions, I decided to be a man … and dressed in their clothes and worked alongside them in other villages where no one knows me,” she told the network.

An advert for a house in Indonesia has gone viral online after the woman selling it offered to throw in an unusual extra feature for free — her hand in marriage.

The Internet ad reads for the most part like a regular house listing, saying that the single-storey property has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a parking space and a fish pond.

But it also proposes to buyers a “rare offer” — “when you buy this house, you can ask the owner to marry you”, alongside a picture of Wina Lia, a 40-year-old widow and beauty salon owner, leaning against a car in front of the house.

The ad said that terms and conditions apply, and notes the offer is “for serious buyers and non-negotiable”. The house in Sleman, on the island of Java, is on the market for 999 million rupiah (about $75,000).

News of the offer quickly spread among Internet users in social media-crazy Indonesia.

A user on popular online forum said Wina Lia is “quite smart — even though the house will be sold, she will remain the owner.”

But the mother of two explained that she had asked a friend who was a property agent to help her find a buyer — and in the process a husband — but she had expected him to pass on the news to a limited number of people, not put an ad online.

“I told a friend of mine who also works as property agent that if there is a buyer who is a single man or a widower who wants to buy a house, and at the same time look for a wife, he can let me know as I’m also a widow,” she said.

She added that a potential buyer had visited on Wednesday, but refused to give further details about him.

Uchenna was arrested on February 16, following surveillance reports. He was arrested with a locally-made pistol, cut to seize with two live cartridges.

In his confession, Uchenna said:
“I acquired the gun from a timber mill at Maryland. The urge to meet up with the demands from my girlfriend, Chinaza, living at Uwani axis of Enugu, propelled me into robbery.

“I had acquired the gun to unleash robbery attacks on residents of Maryland in order to dispossess them of their valuables. I was on the verge of carrying out the act when the operatives swooped on me. I do not know how they knew I was carrying a gun. I am so ashamed of myself now. I do not know what led me into this.

“My parents are crying their hearts out over this incident. They are so disappointed in me. I want to call on teenagers like me to shun robbery and other nefarious activities because the security operatives are always watching.”

Mob Burns Woman To Death For Refusing Bomb Screening In Bauchi

A mob in the northeast Nigerian city of Bauchi on Sunday beat a woman to death and burnt her body over suspicion she was a suicide bomber, police and witnesses said.

“At about 0700 hours (0600 GMT), information at our disposal revealed that a yet to be identified lady who allegedly refused to allow herself to be screened at the entrance of Muda Lawal Market Bauchi was attacked by irate mob,” Bauchi state police spokesman Haruna Mohammed said in a statement.

He said the mob “set her ablaze,” adding that she died before police could rescue her.

Mohammed said police had deployed to the scene to disperse the mob but no arrest was made.

A witness, Isa Safiyanu, told AFP that the woman, who was accompanied by a man, raised suspicion when two bottles were found strapped to both sides of her waist after she refused to be frisked with a metal detector at the entrance of the bus statioN

“When her hijab was raised over her head two bottles were found strapped to her waist and the crowd descended on the young woman,” he said.

“They beat her to death and placed a used tyre on the body, sprinkled it with petrol and set it on fire,” he said.

According to a police source in the city who asked to remain anonymous, it was unlikely the woman was carrying explosives which would have exploded when her assailants attacked her.

“The only plausible explanation is she could have been sent on a test mission to see if it was possible to enter the bus station without being screened,” the source said.

The killing follows a spate of suicide bombings in recent days blamed on Boko Haram Islamists targeting bus stations in northern and central Nigeria.

Pet Monkey to Get inheritance From A Childless Indian Couple

A childless couple in India has decided to bequeath their entire property, house, land and bank deposits to their pet monkey, news reports said on Thursday. Sabista and Brijesh Srivastava, residents of Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh State, have set up a trust that would oversee their property after their death. According to the couple, their main beneficiary will be their monkey, Chunmun.

The couple was in the process of selecting wildlife enthusiasts as members of the Chunmun Trust, which would look after the welfare of monkeys in India. Sabista Srivastava said she got her first monkey Tintin from a neighbour who was maltreating the animal and when she objected sold it to her. Tintin died soon after and the Srivastavas bought Chunmun in 2005 and brought him up in luxury.

According to the report, his room has an air-conditioner for the summer and a heater in winter. In 2010, Chunmun was married to Bitti, a female monkey. “Every year, on the monkeys’ wedding anniversary, the Srivastavas host a dinner for about 1,000 people and feed wild monkeys in the neighbourhood. “Ever since Tintin and Chunmun came into our lives, we have prospered and we feel it is due to them. “They are our children and it is our duty to ensure that they are well looked after even when we are gone,’’ Sabista Srivastava, a lawyer, was quoted as saying by Asian Age.

The Gift Called ‘My Mother’ – Yomi Balogun

Too many get along with life forgetting one huge force that helped them get into it in the first place – the mother. Yes, we were created by God but someone kept us safe in their own body, carrying us along for some 9 months, that is a lot of sacrifice to start with. Imagine the weight especially for those of us that came already bearing so much weight. Our mothers deserve our love, not because of the fact that it is often the cool thing to do but mostly because they earned it right from our conception. I appreciate the fathers and all but come on, in most cases, our mothers are the ones stepping out for us when push comes to shove. Spare a thought for your mum’s sacrifices over the years. I personally remember how my mum will go, “Yomi, whatever you do, never forget your source.” And just when I thought she meant herself, she said, “God is your source. I was only a vessel”. I love my mum. I love my dad too. So, when last did you speak to your mum? Now is not a bad time to make that call. You can even call both of them. For those who have lost theirs, I pray their souls continue to rest in peace. God keep all that they left behind. It’s gonna be a better day. Cheers to our mothers.
