How Birth Attendants Cut Umbilical Cords With Broken Bottles – By Abang Mercy

In a world filled with absurdities, this news report compiled by Freelance Journalist Abang Mercy is about maternal health. Read the compelling true life story that bothers around the challenges indigenes residing in a riverine community of Ondo State face in terms of affordable healthcare especially, maternal health;
After losing her fourth child during delivery at the house of her regular traditional birth attendant (TBA), 42 year–old Kemi Ariyo contracted spiritualists to get to the root of her problems. “I was widely accused to be a witch as a result of the demise of my babies,” Kemi said. “So I approached the spiritualists who pray for pregnant women and see to the delivery of their babies”.
The delivery of the fourth happened in a thatched roof house with three spiritualists around her in her native Ode Ugbo, a riverine community of Ondo State. But in spite of their weekly prayers and their presence during the delivery,  the baby was lost to still birth.
Ariyo’s case may be extreme but generally indicative of the problems that women in rural Nigeria face. Almost on a daily basis, women in her situation consult spiritualists who charge between 15000 naira and 25000 ($48 -$79 ) per delivery – who claim to be praying and fasting and would consistently administer local herbal concoctions (Agbo) to these women between the period of pregnancy and delivery.
According to the National Demographic Health Survey, 2008, Ondo state had a maternal mortality ratio of 742 per 100,000 live births with worse indices at the facility level. Nigeria records one of the world’s highest rates of maternal deaths, with the country being the largest contributor of maternal deaths globally and second largest of under – five deaths with India being the first.
Most families especially those in rural communities – characteristically uneducated and economically disadvantaged – are at the mercies of spiritualists, and unskilled traditional birth attendants that they consult to deliver their babies. “We trust the outcome will be divine, we never trusted government hospitals” explains 60 year- old Taye Idowu in Yoruba.
One day however, Madam Taye, a former traditional birth attendant now maternal health evangelist approached Mrs Ariyo and appealed to her to stop patronizing spiritualists, “I told her that the unskilled birth attendants are the reasons she has been childless” she said.
Taye is part of a corp of maternal health evangelists, mostly reformed traditional birth healers under the Ondo state government’s ‘Agbebiye’ programme – an incentive based referral programme. The TBAs are encouraged to refer their ‘patients’ to the orthodox clinics and earn money. She and others in the 18 local governments of Ondo State are part of the Agbebiye Initiative – a community – based approach and a primary health care model aimed to further improve community ownership to reduce maternal health to zero.
When questioned how she succeeded in persuading the health care providers to stop tending to Ariyo, she explains that she simply reiterated the birth techniques and the dangers she was now aware of. “We were all together in the same community, and I was part of the trade – we use broken bottles to cut the umbilical cord immediately the women deliver their babies, some get home and die from infection. We did not know it was bad.”
I paid a visit to a Comprehensive Health facility Centre in Oba’ile – Ondo South where a 34 year- old trader, Aderoju Fumilayo strapped her new-born baby who was obviously dazed with the heat and noise to her back. As she waited within the premises while women gathered for antenatal care to be attended to, she narrated her experience birthing three of her four kids. She compared those births by the traditional birth attendants to what is obtainable at the health Centre.
“I was normally asked to give them kerosene, Omo, Dettol, Detergent, and 10,000 naira as payment and conduct my babies naming ceremony there before they deliver my babies – I lie on a bench (typically made of wood) sometimes on the bare floor to deliver my babies”, she said.
Standing beside Funmilayo at the health Centre is a 65 – year –old, Olayiwola Fagoroyo, observing as a middle age nurse attends to Funmi. I am told she’s an “Agbabiye Vanguard” – she moves around with the women she refers to this health Centre’ making sure they go for antenatal, deliver the babies at the referred health Centre’s, and ensure the children are properly immunized to prevent mortality.
Dr. Dayo Adeyanju, the state Health Commissioner explained that ‘Abiye’ (safe motherhood program is a prelude to “Agbebiye” a word in Yoruba that means “Safe Birth Attendant” which could also mean “Safe Pregnancy Delivery”, and conducted in partnership with Traditional Birth Attendants (TBAs).
“The Programme strives to ensure Universal Health Coverage for comprehensive sexual, reproductive, maternal and newborn health care” he said. “The traditional birth attendants refer their clients to the health facilities for a cash reward and training on vocational skills acquisition (soap making, hat and bead making, catering services and tie and dye making”.
For the commissioner, the incentive provided by government was the major driver in a country like Nigeria that ranks amongst the 10 worst countries in sub-Saharan Africa to birth a child – according to Save the Children Mothers’ index.
But for Madam Kikelomo, a former traditional midwife now registered with government in downtown Akure, “we’ve seen that traditional birth attendant methods are harmful to our women which is why we had to enroll in the “Agbebiye program” – reducing the number of women and children dying during child birth”.
With two dedicated Mother and Child Hospitals, the Ondo State Government has been able to reduce Maternal Mortality Ratio (MMR) by 84.9 per cent. From 745 per 1000,000 live births in 2009 the indices have drastically reduced to 112 per 100,000 live births in 2016 – a feat which made the state a recipient of a 400 million dollars grant from the World Bank.
“The women are treated free, from natural births and those that undergo caesarian operation, it is also done at no cost – that has helped us to scale – up the numbers”, the Chief Medical Director, Dr Adesina Akintan of the Referral centre (mother and child hospital) Oke’ Aro in Akure tells me. “Our objective is to make sure no woman dies during pregnancy or trying to birth a child”.
Another expectant mother, Mrs Oluwakemi Fagbe at the referral centre in Oba’ile, within Akure Municipality, tells me, “- They have specialists in this place and that is why I am here, Pregnant women from neighbouring states also visit this place to deliver because it is free, they even provide free blood donation for our children from age zero to 5 years.”
Outgoing governor Olusegun Mimiko of Ondo, a medical doctor, boasts of meeting the United Nations Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) targets “between 2010 and 2016, we were able to crash maternal mortality by over 75% since we came on board and of course that can be linked to the Abiye and Agbebiye scheme we introduced”.
“We created an incentive scheme, with every referral by the Traditional birth attendants to access healthcare by expectant women, they are given a coupon, which is N2000 each per referral – with that method, they convinced most of their clients to orthodox hospitals for proper care” said the governor.
For Mrs Ariyo and Mrs Fagbe the knowledge gained by attending antenatal will be passed on to their children as they were all birthed at home through the risky and life threatening traditional birth attendants methods.
A state government document explaining the concept of Agbebiye initiative claims that among those referred by traditional birth attendants, there was no single maternal death with 99% neonatal survival – and facility utilisation increased by 20.4% in the primary health care facilities and there was a reduction in the facility utilization of the apex tertiary hospital.
Whether the Abiye programme can be sustained, as fiscal allocations to states continue to decline is a question that time will answer.

Brazilian women shun pregnancy due to Zika virus

More than half of young Brazilian women have shunned pregnancy due to Zika, which can cause birth defects, according to research released Friday.
In a national survey in June of more than 2,000 literate women in Brazil aged 18 to 39, 56 percent said they had “avoided, or tried to avoid pregnancy” due to the virus, according to an article in the medical journal BMJ.

More than a quarter of the women, however, reported that the Zika epidemic — which has swept across the country since mid-2015 — had not discouraged them from trying to have a child.

Sixteen percent said they had not been planning to get pregnant in any case.“The results provide an important first glimpse into how Zika has shaped pregnancy intentions among women in Brazil,” said co-author Marcelo Medeiros, a professor at the University of Brasilia.

While Zika causes only mild symptoms in most people, pregnant women with the virus risk giving birth to babies with microcephaly — a crippling deformation that leads to abnormally small brains and heads.

More than 1.5 million people have been infected with Zika, mainly in Brazil, and more than 1,600 babies have been born with microcephaly since last year, according to the World Health Organization (WHO).

The UN’s global health agency ended the Zika global health emergency — declared in February 2016 — last month.

Brazil has refused to downgrade the risk, and some experts have criticised the WHO decision.

In the survey, women of colour were more likely to report avoiding pregnancy than white women.

There was no significant difference, however, among religious groups, with 58 percent of Catholics and 55 percent of evangelical women saying they had sought to avoid pregnancy.

“Brazil must urgently re-evaluate its reproductive health policies to ensure better access to contraception,” the authors wrote in BMJ.

The survey data was extracted from a larger study called the Brazilian National Abortion Survey, Medeiros told AFP.

Lagos police accuse Ogun pastor of selling 64 babies.

A pastor at the Divine Yard Deliverance Ministry in Iyana Iyesi, Ota, Ogun State, Peace Udoh, has been arrested by the police for allegedly running a baby factory in the church.

The 47-year-old was said to have sold 64 babies before she was arrested on Sunday by operatives from the Lagos State Police Command who acted on a tip-off.

Udoh was apprehended with one Angela Akpan and a nurse, Mrs. Bukola Ajala, who reportedly assisted in childbirth at Udoh’s church.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the pastor usually referred complicated cases to the nurse, whose clinic – El Shaddai Hospital – is located a few metres away from the church.

Our correspondent gathered that Angela’s younger sister, 17-year-old Goodnews Akpan, recently gave birth to a child at the clinic.

Angela, who was arrested on Saturday in the Sango area, was said to have led police operatives on Sunday to Udoh’s church and Ajala’s clinic, where they were picked up respectively.

While parading the suspects on Monday at the Lagos State Police Command headquarters in Ikeja, the Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni, said detectives swooped on the syndicate after receiving intelligence report that Udoh needed a buyer for Goodnews’ baby.

“The suspects run a baby factory in the Sango Ota area. We are still working to get 64 other children she has sold out,” the CP added.

However, the pastor, who hails from Akwa Ibom State, refuted the allegation, saying she used the church as a maternity home to assist her pregnant church members for a token.

She said, “I have been a pastor for 13 years. I only assisted my church members during childbirth. I take delivery of 13 to 15 babies every year and I have handled over 60 cases so far. I don’t sell the babies.

“Whenever I have a complicated case, I refer the patient to the nurse and we share the money she collects for the service. Angela brought her sister to me in July. She gave birth on November 16 at the nurse’s clinic and she was discharged. I was surprised when the police came to arrest me yesterday (Sunday).”

Ajala, the nurse, said she collected between N15,000 and N17,000 for each child delivery, adding that she didn’t know anything about selling of babies.

The third suspect, Angela, said, “I am from Abak in Akwa Ibom. I took my sister from our village to the pastor when her pregnancy was four months. She was there until she gave birth in November and I paid N17,000. I didn’t intend to sell her child and I have never sold any child before.”

Goodnews, a secondary school dropout, told our correspondent that she was not aware of the plan to sell her baby. She said she followed Angela to Lagos to avoid being ridiculed in the village.

“I got pregnant in the school but none of my boyfriends was willing to take the responsibility for the pregnancy.

“My mother would not allow me stay with her so I decided to follow my sister to Lagos,” she added.

Woman arrested for allegedly trying to sell 3 babies

The National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons, (NAPTIP) in Ebonyi State has taken custody of a woman, Odinaka Ali, arrested by the police for alleged attempt to sell her three children in Enugu State.

The Desk Officer of NAPTIP, Florence Onwa, stated this in Abakaliki while briefing journalists on the rescue of her children.

The 25-year-old woman from Ezilo in Ishielu Local Government Area of Ebonyi State was said to be living with her husband in Enugu State with her three children until eight months ago when her husband abandoned them to an unknown destination.

According to the NAPTIP Desk Officer, Mrs. Onwa, police arrested the woman following a tip-off by a restaurant attendant she contacted to look for a trafficker who can buy her children as she could no longer take care of them.

“She wanted to sell the baby but it didn’t work. She was so unfortunate because the person she met to assist her sell the baby reported the matter to the police,” said Mrs. Onwa.

However, the suspect denied the allegation saying though she sought financial assistance from the attendant to feed her children and pay her house rent, she never discussed selling them with anybody.

The woman, who said her husband was from Amekpo Ohafia in Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State, claimed that her arrest by the police and subsequent handover to the State Ministry of Gender Affairs in Enugu State before being brought to NAPTIP Office in Ebonyi State, was a frame-up.

She said, “My husband is from Amaekpo Ohafia, Abia State. I and my husband had issues before and we later reconciled. We did not have any problem when he abandoned us in April this year”.

“When I stayed few weeks I did not see him, I started doing menial jobs with my little children to enable me feed them. I kept doing this till it became so difficult for me to continue it and I decided to return to my village”.

“I didn’t want to sell my children at the initial time because I passed through caesarian operation before giving birth to all of them. I met a girl who sells food in a restaurant and narrated my problem to her and she promised to assist me.

“l met the girl before, so she asked me to come to her and wait for a woman who will enter into discussion with me. I waited for the woman and she did not come. I did this three times and I told the girl that I will not come again”.

“She persuaded me to continue coming and I changed my heart. Before I could notice it, Policemen stormed the place and started asking me what I was doing there and the whereabouts of the three kids I wanted to sell”.

“I told the policemen that I didn’t want to sell my babies because I gave birth to them through operations. The policemen asked me to follow them to their station and I refused.

“They immediately invited a policewoman who came and asked me to follow them to the station, that I should obey before complain and I followed them to the station.

“While in the station, the girl who asked me to come to her said I told her to start looking for who will buy my children.”

The head of Child Development Department, Ministry of Women Affairs and Social Development, Godwin Igwe, called on public spirited individuals to assist the woman take care of the children.

He said, “the three children and their mother just repatriated from the Enugu Ministry of Gender and Women Affairs to Ebonyi. The woman is from Ishielu local government area of Ebonyi State. When we interviewed her, she said she is finding it very difficult to survive let alone feed her children. She said her purported husband abandoned her and the children in April”.

“She said it was very difficult for her to be carrying the third child of eight months old for menial jobs and she became a wanderer. So, the Enugu state government repatriated her. Her mother is late and the father is very old and has nothing doing.

“Her major problem is how to eke a living. She said if the government or public spirited individual can assist her, she is ready to take care of her children.

“If she is allowed to continue to wander in the streets, the children are at risk and if anybody approaches her for the children, she can easily release the children to the person and they will become victims of child trafficking. So, the Enugu government did not repatriate her out of malice or hatred but for safety of the children.”

Police Arrest 11 People For Trafficking Babies In Biscuit Boxes

Eleven people have been arrested in India on suspicion of duping single women into selling their newborn babies and trafficking the infants inside biscuit containers to an adoption centre to be sold on to childless couples, police said on Wednesday.

A senior official from Crime Investigation Department (CID) in the eastern state of West Bengal said the arrests began on Monday after police raided a private nursing home and found two babies hidden in cardboard boxes in a locked medical storeroom.

Those arrested included the owner, midwives and other staff at the nursing home in Baduria, 80 km (50 miles) from Kolkata.

Police have also arrested court clerks suspected of making fake documentation for the children and the head of a charity which ran the adoption centre.

“The inquiry is underway and more information will be revealed only after some more progress is made,” Bharat Lal Meena, Deputy Inspector General for the CID in West Bengal, told the Thomson Reuters Foundation.

Staff at the nursing home and the charity were not immediately available for comment.

Police said initial investigations indicated that unmarried girls and women who visited the clinic for an abortion were persuaded by staff to give birth and sell their babies.

The police did not give a price, but local news reports said the mothers were given 300,000 rupees ($4,380) for a boy and 100,000 rupees ($1,460) for a girl.

Babies were also stolen from women who delivered at the clinic, but who were told by staff that their children were stillborn. Some were even shown the bodies of stillborn babies preserved by the clinic to dupe parents, police said.

The babies, mostly newborns, were then smuggled in cartons used to store biscuits, and taken by road to an adoption centre 25 km (15 miles) away in Machlandapur, where they were sold on to childless couples.

“It was a well organized syndicate, incorporating all kinds of helping hands needed for the smuggling network,” said another CID official, who did not wish to be identified because he is not authorised to speak to reporters.

The CID officer said more arrests were likely in the coming days.

Reports of human trafficking in India increased by 25 percent in 2015 compared to the previous year, with more than 40 percent of cases involving children being bought, sold and exploited as modern day slaves, government crime data shows.

The National Crime Records Bureau (NCRB) said there were 6,877 cases related to human trafficking last year against 5,466 in 2014, with the highest number of cases reported in the northeast state of Assam, followed by West Bengal state.

South Asia, with India at its centre, is one of the fastest-growing regions for human trafficking in the world.

Gangs sell thousands of victims into bonded labour every year or hire them out to exploitative bosses. Many women and girls are sold into brothels.

India, alone is home to 40 percent of the world’s estimated 45.8 million slaves, according to a 2016 global slavery index published by the Australia-based Walk Free Foundation.

Babies Sell For N450,000 Each In Akwa Ibom- Police

The Akwa Ibom State Police Command has arrested no fewer than 11 suspected child traffickers in the state.

Commissioner of Police, CP, Mr. Murtala Mani, weekend, said a syndicate that specialised in trafficking babies was smashed by the anti-kidnapping unit of the force.

According to him, a woman, Comfort Edem, was arrested on October 13, following intelligence report that she had been running an illegal maternity home for the purpose of trading in children. Mani, who spoke through the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Cordelia Nwawe, noted that the suspects sold the trafficked children at N450,000 each.

According to him, “the suspects went after pregnant teenagers and negotiated the prices of the unborn children with them and once the babies were born, they would be given to the traffickers.

“Information at our disposal led to the interception of a syndicate which traffic babies in Akwa Ibom. On October 13, the anti-kidnapping unit intercepted a woman who owns an illegal maternity home.

“She specialises in making sure that she takes in pregnant teenagers. Once the babies are born, those babies are sold and trafficked out of Akwa Ibom. As a matter of fact, the girls had reliably informed us that this is not the first time they had sold their babies for N450,000 each.”

He also said another syndicate, who sold children for N500,000 each, was also smashed, adding that the police had rescued a two-month old girl who had been sold to a woman in Rivers State.

#FertilityDay: Italian Govt. Tells Women To Have Babies Due To Low Birth Rate

What is a woman, really, if not a vessel for making babies? According to a controversial new ad campaign in Italy, it seems the answer is “a failure to her country.”

In an attempt to combat falling birthrates, health minister Beatrice Lorenzin announced earlier this summer that Italy would hold its first ever Fertility Day on September 22nd. Through a series of state-sponsored events in major Italian cities, the “holiday” would focus on encouraging family-planning by helping those struggling to conceive, celebrating the beauty of parenthood, and discussing why a lower birthrate might be dangerous for Italy’s future.

Along with the announcement, the Ministry of Health launched a website, a computer game, and a series of promotional images in order to help encourage participation — but rather than get people excited, they instead sparked major backlash and global outrage.

The #FertilityDay images were quick to go viral for touting offensive messages like “Beauty has no age. But fertility does.” and “Young parents. The best way to be creative.” Many immediately pointed out that the tone of the ads is extremely pressuring, and the message ridiculously sexist.

Mum Claims She’s Been Pregnant For 15 Months & Can Feel It Kicking But Doctors Disagree

A mum-of-nine believes she has been pregnant for 15 months and even says she has heard the baby’s heartbeat.

Linda Reeves claims she can feel the ‘baby’ kicking and squirming – but medics say she has just overeaten.

The 50-year-old has been sent for five scans over the past year but they have shown that nothing is growing in her womb.

Town councillor Linda is now convinced her ‘baby’ is an abdominal pregnancy, which is when the child grows outside the womb.

She said: “Nobody will take me seriously. I’ve had nine children and I know what it’s like to feel a baby inside me.”

She added: “I’ve had all the symptoms of pregnancy – sickness, backache and tiredness. I am absolutely certain that there is a baby there, but it is growing in the wrong place.

“I keep going to my GP and he’s agreed to a few times to send me for a pregnancy scan. But they only scan my womb – so how can they find my baby if it’s growing in my abdomen?”

While visiting her sister, Linda begged her sibling’s GP to listen to her tummy with a Doppler machine.

She told the Milton Keynes Citizen: ““I heard the baby’s heartbeat! I know that sound so well, how could I not recognise it!”

The mum has been stopped in the street by strangers who notice her protruding belly and ask when the baby is due.

“When I tell people I’ve been pregnant for 15 months they don’t believe me. I don’t blame them,” Linda said.

Desperate Linda is now pleading with medics to give her a full CT scan to discover exactly what is lurking inside her but claims her request has been refused.

One doctor even told Linda, from Milton Keynes, Bucks, that her ‘pregnancy’ is due to overeating.

Linda fumed: “He said I was just too fat. I was furious.

“I may not be the slimmest person in the world but I’ve actually lost weight because I’ve been so stressed since all this started in May last year.”

She added: “[Doctors] even suggested I have a mental health problem and it’s a phantom pregnancy. They gave me anti-depressants but I threw the prescription in the bin.

“If by some chance I am wrong, then I want to know exactly what is happening inside me. What if it’s cancer? I have a right to be treated seriously.”

Tyra Banks’ Newborn Is Giving Her Sleepless Nights…….

Tyra Banks’ newborn is giving her sleepless nights. The America’s Next Top Model host – who welcomed her first son, York via a surrogate in January has opened up about the struggles of being a mother, revealing she shares the night duties with her partner Erik Asla.

‘Some mornings you wake up, and you’re like, “Where am I?” I don’t know what’s going on. And I know it’s not a good idea for me to drive right now because I did not sleep. So I balance that and his dad helps, and we go back and forth so that’s good,’ she said.

‘Erik does about 40 percent diaper duty at night. So we’re almost 50/50,’ she said.

She added to E! News: ‘Well, I’m on maternity leave right now, just taking a break. I really now am empowering my team. I’m understanding delegation, understanding that I don’t have to do everything to make something successful,’ she noted.

Queen Latifah Says She’s Finally Ready To Have A Baby

While doing press for her new film ‘Miracles From Heaven’, Queen Latifah, 46, told E! News that she’s ready to have a baby

“I had some things to deal with. I had to get a lot of partying out of my system early in life for about 40 years. You know what I’m saying. I’m good now. I think I’m ready.”

“I can’t say what God has for me, but you will see. You’ll see when I’m lugging the baby on the hip that there is actually a youngin around here.”

“Maybe I’ll adopt a child that’s not necessarily a baby. There are a lot of kids that need love out there. I want to be there for somebody. I got to get all this stuff and give it somebody.”

Making Babies In Poverty… Charly Boy Writes..

Go ye into the world be fruitful and multiply, oh! yes that’s what the good book says. However certain people take this literally. They see children as a blessing from God and they view it as their duty to fulfill this prophecy by promoting procreation, rejecting all forms of birth control, including natural family planning.

Children are viewed as a reward from God and the more children one has, the more one has been blessed by God but the big question is, does this put food on the table especially in this hard times?!!

I’m still trying to wrap my head around why the poor have more children when they can’t afford to raise them. And why the rich have fewer children when they can afford to have more. The population demography of any society is vital in Nation building and governments around the world have effected policies to control this growth.

A very good example will be China’s one child per family policy, which has now been upgraded to two. It will be commonsensical to say that people breed their kind this means a rich family is most likely to have rich children, and a poor family, poor children. In Nigeria we have a large majority of low income earners who are multiplying the number of children they have. Children they can not afford to take care of. So wouldn’t it make common sense to say that the less one earns, the less children you should have?

This is one of life’s ironies.

People who are rich and can afford to have more children will not yet those that can not afford it do. Low income spouses spend more leisure time together than families of high income earners. It will be typical in our society today, to see a high income family where both couples are gainfully employed, close work late and get home from a hectic day too tired and stressed to indulge in any intimate act but the lower income earner seem to have more leisure time and less distractions to focus on their love plays with their tomato selling wives. Why is this so?

Breeding children has become a recreational sport for the poor, I feel this is an issue that we all collectively as a society need to address. I use to think that it was mostly in the rural areas that this kind of demography is rampant but that’s not the case, the other day I was shocked to find out that a friend’s security guard who earns 30,000.00 naira monthly has two wives and ten children. Hummmmm, How on earth are they going to survive on that, what type of education, feeding, clothing can he provide for them in today’s Nigeria. Don’t they understand that intimacy between spouses is also an occasion to be savored and pleasurably enjoyed and not just for making babies?

We all need to wake up to the harsh effects that this is having.  Government needs to have more enlightenment and sensitization programs that will address this issue. There is a need to inform the populace about the harmful effects of having children that one cannot afford to raise properly. The most obvious aftereffects are when you see children hawking in the street in order to fend for their families. This is not an issue for the government to tackle alone, the private sector also has to join in. The first solution will be circulating constant information about family planning: Due to a range of factors including education and location of living, poor women don’t have access to as many family control measures as richer women so richer women have substantially fewer “unintended” pregnancies than poorer women.

For all my brothers and sisters coping with survival I urge you all to think more about family planning, I know God blesses us with children but we must learn to plan our family according to our means. By the way, I have 9 children but thank God my school fees days are over or else e for hardooooo. So my simple summary today is, cultivate your sperm according to your pocket size. A word they say, is good for the wise.

Bigiano Now A Father In South Africa

Hit maker, Bigiano who is popularly known as Shayo Master, due to his hit song, Shayo years back is now a father in Cape Town, South Africa where he has been residing for the past 3 years. We hear Bigiano has been ‘dealing’ with the Southy girls ‘appropriately’ especially those calling for his eggplant. He gives it to them at will. One of them has however put to bed for him making him a father.

Watch How A Mother Rabbit Takes On A Snake After It Attacked Her Babies

You wouldn’t expect a rabbit to take on a snake and live to tell the tale – but then you haven’t messed with an angry mother bunny before.

These incredible scenes, filmed in the cameraman’s back garden, show the black snake wrapped around a baby rabbit, preparing it for its afternoon meal.

But springing in from out of nowhere comes the baby bunny’s mum, who sinks her teeth into the slithering reptile.

The baby bunny is released from the tight clasp of the snake and runs off, managing to avoid being lunch.

Its mother is furious, however, and refuses to leave the snake alone.
