Two Men Arrested for Alleged Rape of Hawker

Two men, Ezekiel Yusuf (29) and Musa Abubakar (25) have been arrested by Ogun State Police Command for alleged gang-rape of a pawpaw seller.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, who made this known to on Monday said the suspects committed the crime along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

He said the 23 years old victim was hawking sliced pawpaw along the expressway, when the suspects under pretext of wanting to buy the product lured her into the house of one of them.
He said it was the cry of the victim during the act that attracted neighbours who reported the matter to the police.

Mr. Oyeyemi said the Divisional Police Officer of Ojodu Abiodun Police Station, Bamidele Job, quickly dispatched detectives to the scene and two suspects were promptly arrested.
The case is being further investigated by the police, he said.

50-year-old rapist remanded in Lagos Prison.

A 50-year-old man, Suleman Buhari, who allegedly raped a 13-year-old girl in a Lagos Island market, has been denied bail and remanded in prison custody by an Igbosere Magistrates’ court.

The accused, who resides at Shop 50, Ojaoba Market is being tried for unlawful carnal knowledge and sexual assault.

The accused though pleaded not guilty to the charge was ordered to be remanded in Ikoyi prisons.

The Magistrate, Mrs O.A.Ogunbowale, asked the accused to request for bail from a High court and instructed the prosecutor to duplicate the case file and forward a copy to the State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP) for legal advice.

The Police Prosecutor, Ajaga Agboko said the accused committed the offence of rape on October 5 in the market.

“The accused unlawfully had a carnal knowledge of the girl in the market,’’ he said.

The offences contravened Sections 137 and 261 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State 2011.

The case has been adjourned till November 9.

Alleged Rapist Says His Penis Is Too Small To Rape Anyone

Jacques “Porkchop” Rouschop of Canada is currently on trial for allegedly sexually assaulting and choking two sex workers in the back of his pick-up truck in 2013.

On Thursday, his lawyer, Natasha Calvinho, tried a new argument for the jury as Rouschop pleads not guilty: His physical measurements would have prevented him from committing these crimes.

Specifically, Calvinho argued that Rouschop’s hernia “makes it too painful to have sex from behind, his stomach is too large, and his penis is way, way too small,” according to crime reporter Gary Dimmock of the National Post.

The lawyer for the 44-year-old alleged choker-rapist also called a registered nurse to the stand to testify that she had measured Rouschop and that he stands at five feet six inches, with a 66-inch waist, 31-inch thighs, and a one-inch penis (two inches when erect).

Jury members were also given naked photographs of Rouschop during the trial. The Ottawa Citizen reports that according to one of Rouschop’s alleged victims, Rouschop had paid her for oral sex, and when she refused to do more, he flipped her over and choked her — repeatedly asking “Who’s in charge now?” — until she passed out.

Rouschop’s other alleged victim testifies that when she refused to do more than oral sex, Rouschop choked her and raped her from behind, leading her to lose consciousness.

In her arguments, Calvinho is also highlighting the fact that Rouschop, a registered sex offender since 2005, was a prime suspect in the unsolved 2013 murder of sex worker Amy Paul. While he was never charged, “He believes he is the subject of a witch hunt,” Calvinho told the jury.

It was the handiwork of the devil, said a 28-year-old man, Mr. Bethel Samuel, yesterday, while confessing to Rivers State Police officers how he raped a three-year-old girl at Rumuolumeni community in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of the state.

Samuel, who said he was an aide to a Pentecostal church clergyman in Port Harcourt, told the police that he had carnal knowledge of the girl at his principal’s house.

Narrating the incident to the Public Relations Officer of the command, Nnamdi Omoni, and the Divisional Police Officer of Rumuolumini, Mr. Bethel Samuel described his action as the handiwork of the devil.

Samuel said: “It is stupidity that led me to sexually harass the little girl. If I will be given a second chance, I must surely be a good person. Police and the parents of the girl should have mercy and consider what happened as an act of the devil.

“I am the Personal Assistant to my pastor; we were organising our crusade, going out to paste crusade posters when my pastor called me to say he forgot something at home.

“He directed me to go to his house and bring some money. When I got there, I saw children playing and grabbed one of them. That was what happened.

“It is purely the handiwork of the devil. I don’t know what happened; all I know is that I am not happy with what is happening to me. I am calling on the parents and the police to have mercy on me. I am promising the government and the parents that if they allow me to go free, I will never misbehave again.”

Meanwhile, Omoni said police had placed zero tolerance on rape and other criminalities in the state.

Convicted Serial Rapist Killed By Trailer While He Watched ‘Porn’ On His Phone

A convicted serial rapist in Memphis, Tennessee, 55 year old Kevin Jordan, was walking on a side-walk while watching porn on his cell phone when he got hit by a runaway trailer which smashed into a fence and struck him.
A man who witnessed the accident last Wednesday around 5 p.m. said police told them that Jordan was looking at porn on his phone when he was hit. He added that Jordan was killed just a few houses down from where he lived.

According to authorities, Jordan was a known sexual offender in the early 1990s. He was known as
the ‘Highland Street Rapist’ in Memphis and was sentenced to 25 years in prison after he pleaded guilty to 20 felonies in 1994, which included nine counts of rape, one attempted rape, as well as four robberies and three burglaries. He had raped four women after breaking into their homes, two in 1991 and two in 1992, while he was out on parole after being convicted of a similar rape and burglary conviction.

He was released from prison in 2010 for good behavior.

His fiancée, Connie Harris said that he turned his life around since he was convicted of the rapes and released from prison.
But according to New York Daily News, court records show he was arrested for indecent exposure last year.
A woman who did not want to be identified said she called police when she saw Jordan expose himself while wearing a trench coat. She said when she looked out her office window, he started masturbating to her– but ran away when she called police.
However, Harris defended her fiancé after the accusation was made, stating that Jordan recently had a kidney transplant and was near the woman’s office because he was on dialysis. She said Jordan was urinating, not exposing himself.

Harris said despite Jordan’s past, he was a changed and good person and did not deserve to die the way he did.
“It’s a big loss. I love him. I still love him,” Harris said.

The Police are still investigating the accident. The driver pulling the trailer has not been charged.

Court Grants N300,000 Bail To Alleged Rapist

A Gudu Upper Area Court in Abuja on Wednesday admitted Ibrahim Ali to bail in the sum of N300, 000 for alleged rape of a 10 year-old girl.

The presiding officer, Umar Kagarko, said the court admitted the defendant to bail because of the number of days he spent in custody during interrogation.
Kagarko ordered Ali to produce a reliable surety in like sum.

He said the surety must be a public servant with a reasonable grade level and reside within the jurisdiction of the court.

He adjourned the case till May 31 for hearing.

Ali of Bwari was arraigned on a two-count charge of rape, threat and criminal intimidation.

The Prosecutor, Olajide Olanipekun, told the court that Saadiya Haliru of Shere Bwari, reported the matter at Bwari Police Station on Feb. 9.

He said that Ali had on Jan 25, had unlawful and forceful carnal knowledge of her without her consent.

Olanipekun said that the incident took place at an uncompleted building at Shere village, Bwari in FCT.

The prosecutor said police investigations revealed that Ali also threatened to kill the girl if she told anybody about it.

He said Ali had confessed to the crime, adding that the offence contravened Sections 283 and 397 of the Penal Code.

Ali pleaded not guilty.

Rapist Jailed After The Woman He Tried To Rape Tracked Him Down On Facebook

A young woman who was sexually assaulted by a man she met outside a nightclub tracked him down on Facebook after he mentioned they had friends in common.

Chanel Purchase, 21, found the picture of 22-year-old James Huggett after trawling social media following the attack in April last year.
The man – who did not tell her his name – had offered to walk Miss Purchase home, but pinned her to the floor and tried to rape her just metres from her front door.
On Tuesday, Miss Purchase, from Sheerness, Kent, told how she believes combing Facebook helped bring her attacker to justice.
The young woman, who has waived her right to anonymity to warn others about the dangers women face, phoned police after the attack but immediately began her own investigations.
Although he did not tell her his name, and he does not have a Facebook account, the attacker spoke about their mutual friends which helped Miss Purchase track down the photograph.
She said: ‘It wouldn’t have been easy to confirm it was him and identify him if I hadn’t have found the picture so I think I helped solve the case.’
The attack took place after Miss Purchase had spent the evening out with friends at a nightclub close to her home. She had met Huggett outside who insisted that he walk her home.
She eventually agreed but, as they approached her house, Huggett pushed her to the ground and launched the assault, pulling down Miss Purchase’s underwear and attempting to rape her. When she struggled and screamed, he fled.
That night, Miss Purchase – who is planning to train as a midwife next year – called the police who immediately sent out officers to take a statement and DNA swabs.
Determined to see him swiftly brought to justice, Miss Purchase then trawled through social media in a bid to track him down.
After finding a photo of him, Miss Purchase informed police of his identity. Huggett, of Minster, Kent, was arrested the next day.
Speaking after his conviction last week at Maidstone Crown Court, she said: ‘I think he should get a few years. I will never feel safe if he was released.’
During the trial the jury heard a neighbour had been in bed when she heard a noise and looked outside to see what she thought was a scuffle between two people.
Prosecutor Simon Taylor said one was straddling the other and pinning them down. He said: ‘It was then that she saw the person on the ground was a female and heard her shout “get off me, and if you don’t get off me I’ll scream”.
The court heard how, when the woman screamed, the man ran off and the neighbour recognised the victim as Miss Purchase.
Huggett initially denied meeting the victim but then admitted seeing her outside the nightclub. He then claimed they cuddled
and kissed on the cheeks before he went home to change into jeans. 
But he denied trying to rape the woman and said Miss Purchase had mistakenly identified him as her attacker.
He later said that he had given a false alibi – including to his legal team – because he did not want to involve his parents in the trial as they grieving from the death of their son Craig.
‘I lost my brother in a motorcycle accident and it was only a couple of months before this,’ he told the jury.”

Indonesia: Man Kills Wife’s Rapist, Chops Off His Penis, Cooks And Eats It

A newly-wed Indonesian couple have been arrested over claims they dined on the genitals of the woman’s suspected rapist after her husband allegedly murdered him and cut off his private parts, police said on Tuesday.

 

According to the AFP, the victim’s body was found in a burnt-out van after a suspected revenge attack sparked by claims from the new wife she was raped a week before her wedding on Sumatra island.

 

The husband, 30-year-old Rudi Efendi, has admitted murdering the man after discovering his wife was not a virgin on their wedding night in September and being told of the alleged rape, but insists he acted alone.

 

“I was so outraged,” Efendi told reporters after his arrest last month, adding that deciding to eat the victim’s genitals was “to cure my heartache”.

 

Police say that after murdering the man, Efendi took home the victim’s severed genitals, ordered his 20-year-old wife to cook them, and the pair then ate them together.

 

The victim was a driver, whom the wife used to date.

 

Sulistyaningsih, a local police spokeswoman who goes by one name, told AFP, “The case is still under investigation but we strongly suspect that this is a premeditated murder.”

 

The husband is accused of carrying out the murder, while police believe the wife acted as an accomplice.

 

The victim was found dead in early October in a burnt-out van in Tulangbawang district, Lampung province. Police later arrested Efendi and his wife.

 

Efendi had ordered his wife to contact the victim and set up a meeting, according to police. But when the victim arrived, he found only Efendi, who then allegedly stabbed him to death, cut off his genitals and set the vehicle on fire.

 

Lampung Police chief Brig. Gen. Edward Syah Pernong said that when Rudi’s wife Nency heard about the discovery of an unidentified body in a burned-out black Daihatsu Xenia in Penumangan Lama village, West Tulangbawang Regency, on Oct. 4, she believed the body could be that of her missing husband.

 

“Nency recognized the burned-out car as the one her husband drove in his work as a chauffeur for a travel agency,” Edward said, as quoted by Tribunnews.com on Monday.

Police Arrests Man For Raping 8 Year Old Boy In Bauchi

An 18-year-old man has been arrested by the Bauchi State Police Command,for raping an eight-year-old boy.

The suspect, Mustapha Abdullahi, committed the offence on Saturday at about 4pm.
He added that police detectives attached to the Dass division arrested Abdullahi in Wandi District in the Dass Local Government Area of Bauchi State.
The PPRO said,
“The suspect lured an eight-year-old boy and had unlawful carnal knowledge of him against the order of nature. The victim was rushed to the Dass General Hospital for medical examination..The suspect will be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.”
