My wife slept with her ex-husband on our matrimonial bed, man tells court.

A barber, Gbenga Akinade, on Friday at an Ibadan Grade C Customary Court, Agodi-Ibadan, secured the dissolution of his six-year-old marriage on grounds of infidelity.

Mr. Akinade told the court that his wife, Busayo, had sex with her former husband on his (Gbenga’s) matrimonial bed, adding that he could no longer tolerate her adulterous way.

He testified that he met the defendant when she was hawking herbal liquor (Agbo-jedi), and that both of them agreed to marry after few months of courtship.

“I did not know that she was a divorcee with two kids until she got pregnant for me. I began to suspect her adulterous ways after she gave birth to our second child.

“She used to go out for two or three days, leaving the children with neighbours,’’ he said.

“Her immoral affairs with her ex-husband came into open recently when I caught her having sex with the man on our matrimonial bed.

“I beat the hell out of her that day but allowed the man to go because unpleasant things might happen if I beat him.

“I decided for divorce in order to forget how I met her with her ex-husband on my bed,’’ he said.

The petitioner prayed the court to allow him to have the custody of his children.

“I promise to take good care of them,’’ he said.

The respondent, in her defence, said that her estranged husband was aware that she had two children before he met her.

She, however, was silent on the allegation that she had sex with her ex-husband on Mr. Akinade’s matrimonial bed.

Busayo added that Mr. Akinade regularly beat her.

She pleaded with the court to peacefully resolve the conflict.

“I am not ready to leave my matrimonial home and my children,’’ she said.

The president of the court, Mukaila Balogun, dissolved the marriage on the ground of lack of love.

“The opinion of the court is that there is no more love between the parties based on the testimonies of the couple,’’ he said.

Mr. Balogun ordered that two of the three children should be in the custody of their father while the last child should be with the mother.

The president of the court ordered the petitioner to be paying N4, 000 monthly to the respondent for the upkeep of the only child with her.

My husband beats me for refusing his excessive sexual urge, wife tells court

An estranged wife, Sola Bamisile, 30, on Monday told an Ikole Ekiti Customary Court that she could no longer bear her husband’s strong sexual urge.

The petitioner alleged that her husband, Bayo Bamisile, constantly beat her whenever she refused him sex.

Sola told the court that within five and a half years of their marriage she had given birth to four children.

She also alleged that the respondent failed to care for her and the children.

According to her, none of the children is in school.

“I always quarrel with my husband because none of our children is in school; there is no proper care for me and the children.

“My husband is always concerned about having sex with me whenever he has taken palm-wine.

“He has not even paid my dowry,’’ she said.

The petitioner, however, told the court that her husband and his family members had been reaching out to her to reconsider her divorce move.

“My husband and his family have been coming to me to change my mind about the divorce.

“He has also written a letter of undertaking to be of good behaviour,” she said.

The petitioner tendered the letter of undertaking in court as exhibit.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the letter was admitted by the court.

The respondent denied the allegation of constantly fighting his wife and failing to take care of his family.

He however admitted not paying the dowry.

The president of the court, Yemisi Ojo, ruled that the plaintiff should monitor the respondent’s behaviour for three months to ascertain if he had changed.

She also ordered that the man should enrol his children in school before the next adjourned date.

Ms. Ojo adjourned the case to May 8 for report of settlement.

I can no longer tolerate my wife’s masturbation, husband tells court.

A 44-year-old businessman, Ekpolador Ebi, told an FCT High Court, Kubwa, that he would no longer tolerate his wife’s masturbation.

Mr. Ebi made this known when he testified in his divorce petition against his wife, Gloria Onajero, in Abuja on Wednesday.

He urged the court to end the marriage, which had produced two children because of his wife’s unfaithful and intolerable character.

The petitioner questioned the paternity of his children, when he found out his wife’s extra-marital affair with one Richard.

He also noted that his wife’s “ugly character” has had a negative impact on their children.

“She masturbates on a regular basis. I have warned her severally but she wouldn’t stop. Now it has affected my first daughter.

“I caught her on three occasions; I spoke to the mother about it and she promised that it would be resolved but it did not.

“Now, I noticed since we separated, that the children have developed confidence issues in school.

“My first daughter has also developed anger issues; she slams the door at you when you try to scold her. All these never used to be,” he said

Mr. Ebi also told the court that he ran away from his home because his wife and her mother frustrated all his good intentions.

According to him, his wife also beats the children with so much force and without mercy and when he tried to caution her, her mother supports her.

The petitioner urged the court to, aside dissolving the marriage, help him recover his property from his wife.

“My wife came into this marriage with nothing, but when she left, she went away with everything I had.

“She took all the original documents of my property, including our marriage certificate.

“I want everything back, including my first daughters’ international passport which has a five-year-visa on it.

“I also want this court to order her to stop calling me at odd hours. She calls me around 1 a.m., 2 a.m. or 3 a.m. for no good reason,” he said.

Festus Ukpe, counsel to the respondent, applied to the court to grant them two dates of adjournment to enable him and his client prepare their defence.

The presiding judge, Bello Kawu, adjourned the matter till March 21 and March 30.

Married Man Baths Lover With Acid For Refusing To Be Second Wife

A married man, Mr. Chidi Nbosiadinjo, has been accused of hiring two thugs to pour a bucket of acid one Miss Ogochukwu Nwosu, his girlfriend, who turned down the proposal to be his second wife.

The incident took place at about 7pm on 6 October, 2016 at Ilasa bus stop in Lagos State as Ogochukwu returned from work. A relative of Ogochukwu told SaharaReporters that those who witnessed the acid attack said it was carried out by two men, who came on a motorcycle. The one with the bucket of acid jumped down and drenched Ogochukwu with the corrosive substance.

Mr. Peter Nwosu, a brother to Ogochukwu, said Mr. Nbosidianijo became a friend of their family when he helped the first son secure a Malaysian visa after he had been duped four times.

“Mr. Nbosodianijo helped our eldest brother get an original Malaysian visa after our brother tried four times and was duped. Somebody introduced us to him and he connected my brother to someone who eventually helped in getting original visa. Since then, he became a part of the family and our neighbors know him as such,” he said.

It was gathered that Mr. Nbosidianijo, who is married with two kids, proposed to Ogochukwu after about two years of dating, but knowing he is married, she turned down the marriage proposal. This made him angry and he allegedly vowed that he would not let Ogochukwu marry another man because he had spent so much money on her.

“He said if he can’t marry her, another person will not marry her. He said he cannot sow for another man to reap,” Mr. Peter explained.

Ogochukwu’s mother was also said to have told Mr. Nbosidianijo to obtain the approval of his wife to take another wife. She said her daughter’s life was being threatened by Mr. Nbosidinajo’s wife.

Ogochukwu’s brother said he was told by a neighbor that he saw Mr. Nbosidinajo with two men loitering around the victim’s house at Lawason, Lagos a day before the attack.

“A day before the sad event took place, one of our neighbors saw Mr. Nbosidinajo on the decking of our house at Lawason in Surulere late in the evening. He was said to have pointed at our room. This neighbor told our mother and when our mother called Mr. Nbosidinajo to confirm if he came to our house, he admitted that he came. Before that, Ogochukwu also told us that he had gone to her photographer’s place to collect one of her pictures,” said Peter Nwosu.

He added that Mr. Nbosidinajo’s wife called a few hours after the attack to say Ogochukwu had not seen anything yet. “That he said my sister wouldn’t be able to marry another if she doesn’t marry him and his wife calling to issue fresh threats show that the husband and wife ordered the attack,” said Peter Nwosu. Since the attack, Ogochukwu has undergone five major surgeries, and she is preparing for another to open her eyes, which remain shut.

Mr. Peter revealed that the case was reported to Itire Police Station after which it was transferred to Alagbon Police Station where both Mr. and Mrs. Nbosidinajo were arrested and released a couple of days later. However, when our correspondent contacted Mrs. Joyce, the Investigative Officer in charge of the case, she flared up at being phoned and hung up when the question was asked about the incident.

Wife seeks divorce over husband’s “withdrawal method” during sex

A 36-year-old seamstress, Sherifat Adetunji, on Friday pleaded at a Lagos Island Customary Court that her marriage should be dissolved on ground that her husband was longer ejaculating inside her during sex.

The mother of two said her 10-year-old marriage was blissful until five years ago when things started changing.

She lamented that her husband could go a year or more without making love to her and that when he did he would not ejaculate inside her.

“My husband has been starving me sexually, sometimes he will not touch me for a whole year and when he did, he would not release inside me.

“I have complained severally about my dissatisfaction over his attitude towards our sexual life, but has refused to change,” she said.

She told the court that her husband once brought a strange man into their house to perform some rituals in the middle of the night and since then she started emaciating.

“My husband brought a man to pass the night in our house and that in the middle of the night they performed some rituals since then I have been growing lean.

“He did not show any concern about my state of health or why I was growing lean everyday,” Mrs. Adetunji said.

She, therefore, prayed the court to dissolve the marriage and give her the custody of their two children, Alia, 8, and Kismat, 5.

Her husband, Monsuru, 38, a trader, told the court that he thought his wife was happy in their marriage because they hardly quarreled.

He said he was surprised when she packed out of the house and brought him to court for the dissolution of their marriage.

He admitted his sexual behaviour, saying that it was due to the current economic recession so as to prevent his wife from getting pregnant.

“I stopped making love to her regularly and releasing in her because of the present economic situation in the country so that she does not get pregnant.

“The man she said I brought home was a distant relation who had no place to pass the night.

“The reason why my wife is reducing in size is because she does not give herself rest of mind, she is always worried about one thing or the other,” he said.

He urged the court to dissolve the marriage as he was no longer interested in the marriage because she had packed out of their matrimonial home.

The Court President, Awos Awosola, said that marriage institution could only work if the two were in agreement.

“Marriage is for two people, not one; your wife should also have a say in the home.

“Since she has complained severally that you are starving her sexually, you should have made amends.

“If you do not want to get her pregnant you can always use condom,” he said.

Mr. Awosola urged the two parties to maintain the peace and adjourned the case to Feb. 16 for further hearing.

My wife beats me often, separate us, husband begs court.

Oluwatimilehin Oyewole, on Friday begged a Mapo Customary Court in Ibadan to dissolve his four-year-old marriage, to save him from constant beating by his wife.

Oluwatimilehin had in a petition to the court said that his wife, Kehinde usually slaps or mishandle him anytime they had disagreement.

“My lord, anytime I complain about Kehinde’s waywardness and lack of respect for me, she beats or attack me with any dangerous thing within her reach.

“Sometimes, Kehinde freely pulls my manhood as part of her attack on me.

“Most of the time, I run out of the house for her even in the midnight.

“However, it is not that she is more powerful than I am, but I am merely trying to avert bloodshed or casualty.

“I am most disturbed by the disposition of her mother who always supports her misbehaviour.

“Worst of all, Kehinde has exited my house for more than a year now and I have reports that she has been sleeping with different men around.

“I was told that if I admit her back into my house without her confessing to me all those who have had sexual intercourse with her, I might have to bear the evil consequence that should naturally befall her.

“This is the reason why I thought that I should let Kehinde go before she eventually kills me,” Oluwatimilehin stated.

Wwhen the matter came up, Kehinde was not in court to defend the allegations leveled against her.

The bailiff, however, confirmed that Kehinde was served with the notice to appear before the court.

Fausat told the court that her husband deserted her because she refused him oral sex, adding that he made her feel inferior because of his complaints and verbal abuse.

The fruit seller said that their marital problems started five years ago when her interior decorator husband came back from a trip to Port-Harcourt and asked her to suck his genital.

“My husband got back from a trip and asked me to suck him, something we have never done since we got married.

“When I refused he told me that is what other girls do to him outside, since then my husband stopped making love to me,’’ she said.

The mother of two said her husband also started complaining about her dress sense and her cooking.

A 44-year-old man, Iliasu Salami, on Thursday in Iseyin, Oyo State, lost his five-year-old marriage to irreconcilable political differences between him and his estranged wife, Rashidat.

Rashidat’s refusal to show up in court after several summonses and the evidences tendered by the husband on the political differences between them are enough to show that no love is lost between the couple, the President of a customary court, Chief Adelodun Oyegbenle, said.

“It is unfortunate that the defendant (Rashidat) did not attend any of the court proceedings despite court summonses.

“This court hereby dissolve the five-year-old union,” he ruled, and ordered Salami to pay N10,000 monthly upkeep allowance for the two children of the failed marriage.

Salami had approached the Iseyin Customary Court, seeking the dissolution of the marriage over allegations of disobedience and insubordination.

He told the court that his wife had no regard for him, adding that his opinions did not count in their affairs.

He said his wife joined a different political party against his instruction and wish. Salami, however, did not state his or ex-wife’s party.

“All efforts to resolve the issue by both families failed,” Salami said, and pleaded with the court to terminate the marriage.

My wife is dating my pastor – Husband tells court

Worried by his wife’s adulterous acts, Mr Kolawole Okeeyi, a businessman, on Wednesday approached the Igando Customary Court in Lagos to terminate his 31-year-old marriage.

Okeeyi, 51, accused his wife, Funmilayo, with whom he had five children of infidelity.

“My wife is having an affair with my pastor, I got to know when I did not have credit on my phone and wanted to use her phone to call our pastor to report her for starving my mother of food.

“I picked her phone and I saw on the screen “sent message”. I mistakenly clicked on it and the message opened, I saw several love messages my wife sent and received from our pastor.

“I showed her the messages when she came in, but she begged me, I seized the phone and later confronted our pastor with those text messages, but he told me to do my worst.

“I also caught her with my brother in a hotel in Oyo State; I wanted to ignore them, but I later confronted them so that they will not deny later,” he said.

The petitioner said his wife was after his life and that he had been attacked on two occasions.

“In Aug. 20, 2013, I got to the front of my gate, as I honked for my children to open the gate, suddenly three men jumped down from a motorcycle, pointing a gun at me.

“But for the timely intervention of the police, I would have been killed. When I entered my house, I told my wife what happened, but she did not say anything.

“Four months later, while coming from work, three men intercepted me, pointing a gun at me to come down and enter the booth, I complied and they drove me off.

“But luckily for me, my phone rang, one of them picked it, the caller addressed me as pastor and said that I should come to the church early that I will be ministering, but I am not a pastor.

“One of the guys said that they should not kill me that I am a pastor; that in the bible God said that they should not touch his anointed or do his prophet harm.

“After a hot argument among them, they stopped the car, stripped me naked and absconded with my car.

“A good Samaritan gave me clothes to wear. When I got home, I told my wife again about the incident, but she said nothing.

“That same 2013, my only three buses that plied Port-Harcourt, Akure and Abeokuta were involved in accident and were condemned, I again informed my wife, but no response from her,” he said.

Okeeyi said because of these calamities and threat to his life, he ran away from the house he built same year to start squatting with friends.

He pleaded with the court to dissolve the union that he was no longer in love as his life was no longer safe.

However, Funmilayo, 43, trader, denied all the allegations. She said she was not having an affair with any man.

“Those text messages on my phone were forged; I never sent nor received any love messages from our pastor.

“My husband saw me and his brother in a hotel, but we are not dating, his brother just followed me to book for a room when I went for a burial in Oyo State.

She accused her husband’s family of battery.

“When I was pregnant for our fifth baby, my husband’s family stormed our house, accusing me of having an affair, they beat me to pulp, in fact, I don’t know how I got to the hospital,” she said.

The mother of five boys begged the court not to grant her husband’s wish as she was still in love.

The Court President, Mr Adegboyega Omilola, adjourned the case to Nov. 29 for further hearing.

Man Reportedly Abandons Wife in Hospital Over Unpaid N520,000 Bill

A mother of seven, Uzoamaka Onu, 39, has been abandoned by her husband at the New Mayor Hospital and Fertility Centre, Nkpor in Anambra over a bill of N520,000.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the woman had stayed in the hospital for four months following the non-payment of the bill.

Uzoamaka, a food vendor from Okpoto community in Ishielu Local Government Area of Ebonyi, told NAN that the husband had absconded and abandoned her to her fate.

She said that she had lived in the hospital for four months and every attempt to reach her husband had failed.

“My husband stopped visiting the hospital after I successfully underwent a surgery on my right breast,” Uzoamaka said.

She said she did not blame her husband for absconding because he had suffered a lot since 2013 when signs of cancer started manifesting.

“My husband sells rat poison and cannot afford the money to pay the balance and I think that is why he has run away. I am appealing to good spirited Nigerians to come to my aid and help me to get back home.

My problem started in 2013 when I started experiencing excruciating pain in my body, specifically in my lungs. I started visiting patent medicine stores for solution, but unfortunately that compounded my problems.

However, it was on the advice of some friends and family members that I decided to visit General Hospital, Abakiliki where I was diagnosed with breast cancer,” Uzoamaka said.

She said she had visited the University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital (UNTH), Enugu and Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH) for solution.

Uzoamaka said that she also went to the New Mayor Hospital and Fertility Centre where she had a successful surgery, leading to outright removal of her right breast.

She said that N750,000 was the total amount by the hospital management for the surgery, with her family paying N230,000, leaving the outstanding balance.

The Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Ben Ossai, confirmed the incident, describing Uzoamaka’s case as pathetic.

Ossai said that the woman’s right breast was in a deteriorating state and was emitting offensive odour due to the devastation the ailment had caused.

“We decided to perform a surgery on her to remove the affected breast,” he said.

Ossai said that Uzoamaka underwent a successful surgery and had long been discharged pending when her family would pay the balance of her medical bill.

“But for four months now, her husband has not visited and we suspected he has absconded,’’ he said.

marriage but praised Kendu for helping her deal with some of her past deamons. “We met when I hated men. … After I met him, everything changed in my life,” she said to Parade in 2007. “He was the first person to ever challenge what I did: ‘Why are you drinking? Why do you hate yourself? You don’t need to be around people who tear you down. You’re beautiful, Mary.’ He was the first man to ever tell me that.”

I have lived every minute of my life in fear but I cannot go back to my parents because of the bride price,” she said. Margaret, 45, had urged the court to annul her 33-year-old marriage citing husband’s duplicity.

“When I was 12 years old, my husband came to my village to ask for my hand in marriage with a promise to my parents that he would send me to school.

“He also lied to my parents that he is a businessman that he owned a provision store and that he lived in a flat. “My parents told him that they cannot release me for marriage because I was too young and besides I was still schooling.

“Onu told my parents that he will send me to school after the marriage, my parent agreed and he paid the bride price,” she said.

Margaret regretted that on getting to the city, she discovered that her husband was not what he made her and her parents believe he was.

Guy Ritchie & Madonna Finally Settle Bitter Custody Battle Over Son Rocco

Guy Ritchie and Madonna have settled their bitter custody battle over where their son Rocco should live. The custody disagreement began in December 2015 during a falling out between Rocco and his musician mother when he abandoned her Rebel Hearts tour, heading to London to live with his father and his wife Jacqui and refused to return to America to start the school term in January.

This triggered a legal battle between his parents, especially when the teenager ignored a court order to fly back from Ritchie’s London home to live with Madonna in New York. They have fought constantly over child-rearing issues as Madonna was the disciplinarian and felt Guy was way too permissive.

The 47-year-old director has now reached a settlement with the pop star, 58, hours before they were due in court in New York on Wednesday. Although the terms of their agreement remain confidential, it was revealed that Rocco will be schooled in London, with regular visits from his mother, whom he reconciled with some months ago.
Speaking outside the court Guy’s lawyer, Peter Bronstein, said that the 16-year-old-year-old would continue to live with his father in London. Everyone’s agreed to that and there’s no further need for any kind of a court case.’
A Court spokesman confirmed Madonna and Guy reached a settlement. Madonna’s attorney however declined to comment on the matter.

Ever Heard Of Marriage Break? This Woman’s Husband Let Her Take A Year Off Their 17 Years Marriage

After being hitched to her spouse, Scott Mansfield, for 17 years, she made the critical decision to enter into a year-long open marriage so that she could experience life (and by life we mean sex) with other people.

Robin, 50, who lives in San Francisco, says that she and Scott, a brewer and wine-maker, were “stuck in a rut.” She told the New York Post, “Our once-a-week sex life was loving, but lacked spontaneity and passion.”

But, unimaginative sex isn’t what convinced Robin to try her experiment, and ultimately write a book about it. She says that she finally reached a breaking point in her early thirties when she realized that despite years of pleading, Scott would never be willing to have a child with her.

She wrote in The Wild Oats Project, “I refuse to go to my grave with no children and only four lovers… If I can’t have one, I must have the other.”

“I reached a point that a lot of us face in midlife where I was about to have an affair. I knew I was going to cheat, or we were going to get a divorce and something had to change. And I figured if I was going to do it, I was going to be fair and give him the freedom. I knew it was a long shot,” she explains.

And now for the terms: Robin rented an apartment where she lived from Monday through Friday. There she was allowed to court as many suitors as she liked. On the weekends, she returned to Scott and they lived like a happily married couple without asking each other what or who they did during the week.

“It wasn’t as strange as you might imagine. I liked it. It was the perfect balance, living on my own during the week and then returning home,” she writes. “We had sex as always and the open marriage spiced things up — at least at first.”

The few conditions were that they had to practice safe sex, could’t sleep with mutual friends, and had to avoid “serious” relationships. Perfectly reasonable clauses, though they were all violated.

Robin, who had been off the market for awhile, began her exploits by posting an ad on nerve.com.

Within one day, she had 23 offers.

Her first paramour was a 40-year-old lawyer but she quickly moved on to younger men. She recalls texting her hubby goodnight from a Las Vegas hotel room immediately after a 23-year-old guy left her bed.

Over all, she had 12 encounters. Two were with women, one of them was a threesome.

After her trial year of condoned dalliances was up however, Robin and Scott struggled to make their marriage work.

“Moving back home full time proved more difficult than I had thought. After you open up a marriage and experience a whole range of sexual variety and aspects of yourself you’ve never had before, it’s hard to put everything back in the box. You’re changed.”

“Suddenly I found an updated version of myself. The person I was at 44 was so much different than the woman I’d been when I was last single at 26. She was less shy, more confident, wilder.”

Scott, had changed too. For nearly six months he had been exclusively seeing one woman, who happened to be younger than Robin but she says that didn’t bother her.

My Husband Gives Me 10 Naira Feeding Allowance, Wife Tells Court

An Ojaoba Panel of Sharia Court of Arbitration in Ibadan on Friday heard that a man, Abdulrasheed Yusuf, gives his wife, Sidikat, N10 per meal as upkeep allowance for family of six.

Sidikat had asked the court to dissolve her 18-year-old marriage to Yusuf for alleged infidelity and starvation.

“He was giving me N10 as feeding allowance either as breakfast or lunch because he said he just lost his job.

“Even when he got another job, Yusuf did not change and in fact, the situation worsened as we continued to depend on concoction.

“Yusuf, most of the times fed on bread and egg with sardine while the children and I took gari or eba.

“My lord, right from the beginning of my stay with Yusuf as his wife, I started experiencing different kinds of bad treatment of which starvation was number one.

“Worst still, Yusuf started having sexual intercourse with my younger sister who came to assist me when I was sick and in fact impregnated her.

“My lord, I still managed to endure with him for 10 years and when I saw that things will not change, I moved out of his house.

“As if those are not enough, he could not pay for any of his children hospital bill, let alone mine.

“During our wedding, so as to make things easy for him, I barely requested him to give me my favourite Islamic music cassette as my bride price and I am ready to refund it,” Sidikat explained.

Sidikat also said that her husband impregnated her younger sister.

However, Yusuf strongly opposed the divorce, but failed to address any of the fundamental issues of starvation and infidelity raised by his wife.

“My lord, till the end of time, I am not parting ways with Sidikat.

“I am ready to welcome her back into my home any day anytime,” Yusuf said.

In his judgment, the President of the court, Sheikh Hamad Tirmisiyu, held that it was terrible for any husband to be so irresponsible to the extent of being unable to fend for his household.

He added that Sharia considered inability of a husband to adequately provide for his family as a wicked act and ungodly.

“Obviously, there is no true love between Sidikat and Yusuf because the husband cannot respond to the fundamental issues raised by the wife.

“Accordingly, Sidikat shall refund the Islamic cassette which stood as bride price on wedding day to Yusuf.

“The children shall determine who to stay with between Sidikat and Yusuf.

“In addition, Yusuf shall pay a monthly feeding allowance of N10, 000 for the upkeep of the four children until they are ready to stay with him,” he said.

Gary, 18, and Almeda Hardwick, 71, of Sevierville weren’t looking for love when they saw each other at the funeral of Almeda’s son in June 2015, but that’s exactly what they found with each other months later.

Gary, who’s always been attracted to older women, was still in a troubled relationship with a 77-year-old woman and depressed.

Almeda was mourning her son Robert’s death from complications due to seizures. He was 45.

Love was in their future, however.

Gary and Almeda met again in September 2015. His aunt Lisa Harrell, who was married to Robert, reintroduced him to Almeda after he had ended his other relationship.

“It was like an instant connection. (There was) so much chemistry there. We both loved music,” Gary said while the two sat next to each other on the edges of matching red love seats in their living room.

“I had prayed about my soul mate for like two years, so, you know, I was lonely,” said Almeda. “I had no one, so God sent him to me.”

“When I looked into her eyes I knew it,” he said. “Her eyes were a dead giveaway.”

“His were too … I knew,” she said.

After dating three weeks, they got married on Oct. 26, 2015, inside Harrell’s condo.

Almeda was 70. Gary was 17, and his mother gave her consent. His dad passed away when he was 15.

The wedding date was six days before Gary would turn 18, but he said he couldn’t wait that long to make Almeda his wife.

“I just knew she was the one, and she knew I was the one, and we just knew we were right for each other, so it really didn’t matter,” he said.

As more of their friends and family found out about the marriage, the Hardwicks said they received support.

“Don’t Marry A Woman Who Cannot Cook” – Pastor Adeboye On Marriage [Video]

Pastor Adeboye On Marriage – The issue of cooking in marital homes is a common debate on social media, with arguments for and against whose duty it is

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A. Adeboye, has his own opinion on the topic, and he’s certainly very traditional.

According to the Vanguard, Adeboye, while speaking to his congregation, advised his young male congregation not to marry lazy woman and women who can’t cook.

Don’t ever marry outside the church and you have no reason to marry outside RCCG,” Adeboye is quoted as saying to his congregation.

“The reason is that if you are both from the same church even when trouble comes it is easier for the pastors to handle it! “Don’t marry a girl simply because she can sing! In the choir there are some people that can sing but they are fallen angels!

Marry a prayer warrior! If a girl cannot pray for one hour, don’t marry her. Don’t marry a girl who is lazy! Don’t marry a girl who cannot cook, she needs to know how to do chores and cook because you cannot afford to be eating out all the time.”

Don’t marry a girl who is worldly! If you do, you have carried what you’ll worship for the rest of your life!” he advised.

How Husband Killed Wife Over Inheritance

Late Fatima Ibrahim had closed from her place of work,  Zubairu Pilot Primary school in Dutsinma town where she teaches Basic Science. Passing through her family home, where she exchanged pleasantries with relatives, she retired home at her residence at the Low-Cost Housing Estate. Little did family and friends know that they were saying final farewell to her, as her lifeless body was discovered the next day in bed, with blood trickling from her mouth, and bruises on one side of her face.
The deceased, a 32-year-old mother,  was married to  Umar Manu, a staff of the Federal University Dutsinma, Information and Communication Department, who hails from Zaria, Kaduna State and is the prime suspect in the case. The couple have a three-year-old son.

It was gathered that trouble started for late Fatima when her father, Alhaji Ibrahim Habibu, died in December 2014 and she inherited his wealth. He was until his death a regional manager with a major bank in Sokoto.
According to late Fatima’s uncle and spokesman of the family, Babangida Habibu, since the death of the father, Manu went all-out to get his wife’s share of the inheritance divided among late Alhaji Habibu’s children. He said: “On our part as family, we resolved to do all possible to protect his property, and committee was set up to share the inheritance appropriately, making sure accounts were opened for each and every one, with each share of money lodged within.”
Late Fatima’s uncle said about seven months back, his niece reported her husband’s changing attitude and the family had to intervene, and invited him along with his parents to iron things out. But, Habibu said, after a while she complained again. “It was at this point that she chose to move out to a new place, where he still visits on the pretence of wanting to see his son,” he said.
Habibu said: “Manu had earlier been threatening Fatima for a while, and even on that fateful day he called to ask her to make available N800,000 for him to settle some debts. Mark you, she had always tried to let him know that the money he assumes she had was not in her custody, but he never wanted to hear that.”
Manu, according to Habibu, visited the deceased at her residence on the day the murder was perpetrated, at about 8:30pm, entering in and out of the compound twice before he finally left after 11:00pm. “But the next day, Fatima’s maid met her lifeless body on the bed and raised alarm,” he said, adding that Manu was apprehended and handed over to the police where he has owned up, and confessed to the killing, even narrating how he did it.
According to late Fatima’s uncle, the deceased’s family have said all they want now is for the law to take its course.
State Commissioner of Police, Abdullahi Usman, who confirmed the arrest of Manu, said investigation has opened up on the matter.
Late Fatima was born in 1984, and bagged a Bachelors Degree in Biology from Usman Dan Fodio University, Sokoto.

Woman’s Body Exhumed On Claims Her Husband Had Not Fully Paid Her Dowry In Kenya

The body of a 28 year old Kenyan woman, Alice Kemunto Bundi was exhumed from her grave on January 27th, just a day after she was buried at her matrimonial home in Nyamatoki village, after her family complained that her husband had not completely paid her bride price and had no right to claim her corpse.

The family of the mother of four who was four months pregnant when she died, went to court and obtained an exhumation permit from the Kisii law court. Her family members also argued that they were not informed by the husband on what killed their sister nor were they carried along during her funeral arrangements.

The husband however provided a clinical report which states that his wife of six years died while trying to undergo an abortion.

Her in-laws confirmed that the dowry for late Alice had not been settled. “We had given them [Bundi’s family] one cow and KES 5 000 cash($48), though they were asking for KES 20 000($196),” said one of the in-laws in an interviewed.

Celine Dion Loses Husband To Cancer

Celine Dion’s husband Rene Angelil, who discovered the Canadian pop diva and long managed her career, died Thursday aged 73 after a struggle with cancer.

Dion announced his passing in a Twitter message, saying: “Rene Angelil passed away this morning at his home in Las Vegas after a long and courageous battle against cancer.”

A spokesman for the singer, Marc Olivier, said more information would be given in the coming days, but for now the family wished to be left to mourn in private.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau tweeted his condolences to Dion and to Angelil’s six children, including three from a previous marriage.

Born in Montreal to Lebanese-Syrian immigrants, Angelil started out in music dabbling in yeye — French 60s music — before trying his hand at comedy, and finally settling on a career in music management.

As a talent agent, he signed one of the biggest names in Quebec music, Ginette Reno, but the arrangement ended abruptly in 1981, leaving Angelil destitute and desperate.

At age 12, Dion had recorded a demo tape with her mother and sent it to Angelil. He was so struck by her voice that he signed her to an exclusive management contract — mortgaging his house to finance her debut album.

Woman Finds Photos Of Her Husband Having Sex With Her Mom

Distraught Reddit user Awakiri2 told the site she’d found photos of her mother having sex with her husband in an old shoebox and had no idea how to confront him about it.

In the post, she says she was cleaning out a bunch of shoeboxes when she found a USB drive inside one of them and decided to check out what was on it. Bizarrely, she found over 50 photos of her husband and her mother having sex that she says were taken before they got married because “they were at my mom’s house but she doesn’t own that house anymore.”

She explained that she originally met her husband because he was working for her mother, but it never occurred to her that they could’ve been interested in each other since her mother is 30 years older than he is and now she has no idea what to do with this information.

The rest of Reddit chimed in with similar stories (one user said she knew a woman who dated a younger man and later introduced him to her daughter, who he married) and advice for her.

Husband Storms Church, Demands Money Wife Paid As Tithe

An angry husband stormed a church service demanding his Sh200,000 loan that his wife gave as tithe for prayers against demons in a local church last Sunday.

Mr. Geoffrey Odhiambo said his wife took the money, for which a bank used his car as collateral, and gave it to the church, without his consent.According to the  wife, she gave the money as “tithe for prayers as there were evil spirits and devils in her house”.

An eyewitness, Lawrence Odengo said Mr. Geoffrey complained it was not the first time his wife had taken money to ‘Jesus Elevation Tabernacle’ located in the Kisumu CBD, Kenya.

It took male ushers more than 10 minutes to eject Mr. Geoffrey from the midday service moments before the APs Quick Response Team arrived. He reported the matter at Kisumu Central police station.

Members of the public, who had glimpse of the drama at the place of worship they termed a “Pastor Kanyari church”, demanded its closure.

Woman who Tried to Kill Her Husband for the 2nd Time Gets Busted By One Stupid Mistake

A British woman who tried to kill her husband has been sentenced to 15 years in jail after a spelling mistake got her busted!

55-year-old Jacqueline Patrick was really fed up with her husband, Douglas Patrick because she didn’t just try to kill him once, but twice!

Douglas, who is a London bus driver, was left fighting for his life on Christmas Day in 2013 after Jacqueline poisoned his favourite drink, she had put anti-freeze in his cherry Lambrini and gave it to him alongside a late night supper.

The Inner London Crown Court heard that after he collapsed, Jacqueline forged a note that said Mr
Patrick did not wish to be revived which she gave to paramedics. Police however realised the note had been forged when they spotted the word ‘dignity’ on it had been misspelled as ‘dignaty’. When they asked Mrs Patrick to write the word, she made the same mistake.

Katherine
Her daughter, 21 year-old Katherine Patrick, also pleaded guilty to inciting her mother to administer a noxious substance and was jailed for three years.

Reacting to the crime, police said Mr Patrick had been lucky to survive the plot:

Mr Patrick came very close to dying and while he lay in his hospital bed fighting for his life, his wife told lie after lie to cover her tracks. Perhaps most shocking of all was the note she gave to the London Ambulance Service purporting to be from her husband, stating that he did not wish to be resuscitated.

This was a calculated and well-planned plot and I am pleased Patrick admitted her crimes and her daughter also pleaded guilty to her role in encouraging her mother to act in this appalling manner. Their actions will now see them spend a considerable period behind bars.

This was the second time Jacqueline had tried to poison her 70 year old husband with anti-freeze after making a previous attempt in October 2012.

“When we asked him what happened, he said his wife poured hot water on him. We bought raw eggs and honey which we poured on the burns, before taking him to the hospital.”

The Husband had burns and blisters on his chest, face, right hand, and lap.

A nurse at the hospital told Vanguard correspondent on the condition of anonymity about what Iya Deborah said to them:
The nurse said:

“When the wife of the victim came to the hospital, she kept saying that she did it because the money her husband gave to her was too little.

She alleged that he had been cheating on her with other women and keeps complaining that there was no money, but keeps spending it on his lovers.

Feeling remorseful, Iya Deborah, who was interrogated at the Ijanikin Police Divisional Headquarters, said:

“I don’t know what came over me; it is the devil’s handiwork.”

Church Aborts Couple’s Wedding Over Groom’s Refusal To Remove His Designer Shoes

What was planned as a day of joyful union between a couple (names withheld) weekend turned awry as the spiritual leader of a fast growing miracle church in Benin City, Edo State capital declined to wed a couple following the refusal of the groom to pull his Italian designer shoes before entry into the church.

Worshippers, friends, family members and well-wishers who stormed the church were disappointed as the groom, who claimed he bought his shoes for N50,000, was adamant as he shunned pleas from his bride to comply with the rules of the church.

According to a source in the know, the church is reputed for miracles which have led to the influx of
new converts from residents in the vicinity. It was learnt that the groom’s who was expected to prevail on the groom shunned all effort to ensure that the wedding took place.

Meanwhile, as the drama raged, guests and well-wishers who were seated under the canopies for reception at the same venue were lavishly entertained by hired caterers as the confusion between the church’s overseer and the couple.

The beautiful bride who refused to be consoled over the incident wept profusely before church members, and the groom soon followed as tears freely ran down his cheeks.

A senior pastor in the church who does not want his name in print said: “It is quite unfortunate that the groom is adamant.

“We expected that the bride who is our member must have educated him enough.
It is not new among our members.
Politicians, business moguls who often visit comply with our ways of worship and I must say that what we do here is divine and biblical.”

Husband Stabbed In The Back 3 Times By His Wife When He Decided To Leave His Abusive Marriage

Simon and Crystal Smith lived in Gosport, Hampshire with their four-year-old daughter. The 30 year old was a Leading Seaman in the Royal Navy and had been with his probation-worker wife Crystal for six years. Crystal was volatile. She controlled Simon’s finances and bullied him by threatening to take their daughter away if he ever left her. Little things could trigger her temper – from losing a board game to a bad-tasting gravy.

On the night of 12 February this year, Crystal and Simon attended a navy function for the crew of HMS Lancaster at the Royal Beach Hotel in Southsea. Simon had been reluctant to take her because he knew from experience that a night out could go very wrong. And he was right to worry.

In front of friends and colleagues, Crystal accused Simon of having an affair. It was an unfounded accusation that left Simon publicly humiliated. In the taxi on the way home, Crystal taunted him with a rap-style song. “I’m going to make it rain,” she sang. “I’m going to make it rain with pain.”

At home, Crystal threw a knife block at her husband, sending knives scattering across the floor. Simon calmly left the house, but made the decision to return for his keys and some belongings. Which was a big mistake.

Crystal had lost control and while Simon was in the bedroom packing a bag, she crept upstairs, clutching a kitchen knife. Simon didn’t hear her and was facing away from Crystal when she plunged the knife into his back three times.
Two of the wounds were at the top of his back, but the third went through the rear of his arm and severed an artery. Blood pulsed out, staining the room.

“What have you done?” Simon cried.

Crystal replied, “I’m going to go to prison for this…”

Simon staggered downstairs, applied a tourniquet and collapsed in the porch in a pool of blood while Crystal fled. As Simon called an ambulance, neighbours who had heard the commotion rushed to his aid.
Simon survived the attack but lost six pints of blood. He faced several operations and has not fully regained the feeling in his left arm.
Police arrested Crystal that night and charged her with attempted murder. With a trial approaching, Simon had one major concern. With men so often the abuser in domestic violence cases, would anyone believe that he was the victim?

The trial started this summer at Portsmouth Crown Court. Crystal had pleaded not guilty. The jury heard how Crystal had “crept up the stairs in stockinged feet” before stabbing Simon three times.
They heard about the domestic abuse Simon had suffered, including an outburst where she’d swung at him with a baseball bat and left a dent in the kitchen door.

Simon bravely gave evidence and talked about how his wife had been verbally abusive at the navy function they’d attended before the stabbing.

“I shut it down, tried to ignore it. I knew things would happen when we got home, that’s how it worked. “The phrase she used was, ‘Wait until we get home’.”

Simon recalled the first he knew about the stabbing was feeling the sensation of warm blood running down his arm.

After three hours of deliberation, the jury cleared Crystal of attempted murder but found her guilty of wounding with intent.
At the sentencing in August, Judge Sarah Munro QC addressed Crystal..

“As he calmly packed his bag you armed yourself with the sharpest knife. You crept up the stairs in stockinged feet and as his back was turned, stabbed him with glancing blows and one went through the back of his arm to the front, severing his arterial vessel and spurting vast quantities of blood all over him and you, and down the stairs as he went to get help.”

The judge added, “I’m quite satisfied the consequences of what you did very shortly hit you and at the time you stabbed Simon, you were fuelled by the fury you had worked yourself up to and had the intention to cause him really serious harm.”

She added that their marriage was ‘doomed to fail’.
Simon’s victim impact statement was read out in court. “I was the victim of sustained physical abuse from my wife Crystal over the six years we were together. Crystal was the only serious relationship I ever had.

“Because I had nothing to compare it to I simply accepted it as normal. This incident has had a profound impact on my life and will continue to do so over many years. I have lost feeling in my left arm and it may never return.”

Simon has taken a shore job in order to raise his daughter, and has been left with recurring nightmares.
As Crystal, 30, was sentenced to nine years she doubled over and hysterically cried out, “Please Simon, tell the truth, please Simon, tell the truth.”
The case put the spotlight on the subject of domestic violence against men. After the trial, Simon said he hopes to move on and raise his daughter.

“I expected to be called a liar and be accused of what she accused me of,” he added.

7 Signs Your Husband Is Unhappily Married

1. He feels like he can’t win.

Don’t think your heavy sighs and the comments made under your breath are going unnoticed. Unhappily married men often say they feel as though their wives are never satisfied with anything they do, said Kurt Smith, a Northern California-based marriage and family therapist who specializes in counseling for men.

“For some guys, they never feel like they can make their wife happy. Regardless of the issue, they don’t do it enough, they do it too much or they never do it right,” he explained.

To counter the negativity, Smith said spouses need to put more effort into recognizing helpful, positive things their husbands do around the house or for the family.

“The problem is, many men feel like their partners only notice when they do something wrong,” he said. “When we feel like we just can’t win, we often just give up trying.”

2. He rolls his eyes every time you ask him to attend a party.

It’s great to attend parties and get-togethers as a couple — and making time in your busy schedule for date night is always a good thing. But for some guys, the pressure to be your plus-one at every wedding, work event and ugly sweater party can be a bit overwhelming, said Betsy Ross, a Massachusetts-based psychotherapist and divorce coach.

“Many unhappily married men complain that their spouses pressure them to do this or do that when all they really want to do is absolutely nothing. Sometimes, you just want to chill out for the night,” she said.

If you’re hearing variations of “leave me alone” more and more, Ross suggests you do just that.

“Men may want more time to themselves but it leads to them lending a hand and actually wanting to spend time with their spouses, without being asked.”

3. He complains about nagging.

It’s a cliche at this point, but psychologist and divorce mediator Kristin Davin confirms that complaints about nagging spouses is a constant in her New York City office. That said, there’s usually more to the story than meets the eye.

“Often — but not always — women nag because men don’t follow through. How many times have you had a conversation about doing something and he commits to doing it and never follows through? Often, I’m guessing,” she said. “Women feel caught in the middle: You continue to try and talk to him and address the issue but it goes nowhere. He interprets your request as nagging. You want to believe him but his promises go unfulfilled.”

How do you save yourself from having these circular — and tedious– conversations?

“Try to change the dialogue,” Davin suggested, “Say: This really is very important to me so when can I expect it to done? Is there a hurdle we can address? If it’s not done by a certain time, can we call someone in to do it instead?”

4. He’s putting in extra hours at work.

Sure, staying late at work can be a means to get ahead, but if he’s working late into the evenings, on weekends, and even during vacations, he could be using his job as a convenient excuse for avoiding family time, Ross said.

“Spouses usually have a threshold for how much time they can tolerate away from their partner so when a husband starts spending more and more time and energy on work, they’re devoting less time and energy to their marriage,” she said. “Several of the unhappy husbands I’ve worked with spent increasing amounts of time on their career, networking or generally pursuing interests outside of their marriage and away from their family life.”

5. He feels like he’s being punished for things he did in the past.

At some point, you need to leave marital problems you dealt with years ago in the past, said Smith. For example, if he admitted, apologized and truly made amends for having an affair — and you’ve granted him forgiveness — you can’t continue to punish him for it.

“We all have made mistakes, but some guys feel like they can never can get out from under the shadow of their past screw ups,” Smith said. “These guys know when they make another mistake they’re going to also hear all about what they did wrong five, 10 or 15 years ago.”

6. He doesn’t understand why you give him a hard time every time he wants to hang out with friends.

If the two of you are constantly at odds over his weekly fantasy football league get-togethers, try to address what’s at the heart of the issue: If it’s his need for space and time to himself that’s bothering you, you might want to rethink your position, Davin said.

“Space is vital in a relationship,” she explained. “Think of it this way: your marriage should be an interdependent relationship and not one that is dependent and enmeshed. Time spent apart creates space between the couple, which they need to grow, evolve and miss one another.”

7. He dodges important conversations.

You may think mid-argument is the best time to bring up the issues that have been bothering you as of late, but the same might not hold true for your hubby, Davin said: Men often need more time or space to process your problems.

“This is very common complaint – often referred to as the ‘pursuer-distancer dance’ in relationships. Generally speaking, when there is a disagreement, most women want to talk right then and there — they pursue. Men? Not so much. They want to distance – basically, they need to move away to a place where they have space to think.”

The solution to this dilemma, Davin said, is to agree that you’ll return to the problem when cooler heads prevail — but for your own sanity, “do it sooner rather than later.”

Couple Unhappy Because People Refer To Them As Father And Daughter

74-year old Keith and 34-year old Michaela have told how they are often mistaken for father and daughter because of the staggering age difference between them. The pair met five years ago and Michaela says she is madly in love.

“I had always been interested in older men and Keith was just my type. We’re just the same as any other couple, but admittedly Keith does get mistaken for my dad when we’re out,” Michaela said.

Keith is equally as besotted; “When we met I was 68, which was the same age as Michaela’s dad, but I didn’t find it strange, I didn’t care about age, I was attracted to her and that was all that mattered.”

In all her family supported her, despite her husband being the age mate of her father. She said; “When I introduced Keith to my family, I knew they’d be supportive as I’d dated older men in the past. I wasn’t surprised that my dad, was really happy that I’d found such a gentleman.”

The only problem they however find embarrassing is people referring to Michaela as Keith’s daughter.

Master P Thrashes Kobe Bryant, Says Lamar Shouldn’t Have Married Khloe, Warns Her New BF James Harden

Rapper and record label executive Master P was cornered as he came out of a grocery store by TMZ crew and they asked him what he thought about Kobe Bryant and the Kardashians visit to Odom in the hospital. Master P thrashed Kobe Bryant, saying he was not there for his former team mate Lamar Odom when he needed him the most and is now showing public sympathy.

He said Odom had a huge heart and would do anything for anybody but his so called friends turned their backs on him when he needed them most. That none of them stepped up for Lamar when it counted. He also said the biggest mistake Lamar made was to marry Khloe and warned Khloe’s new BF, basketball player James Harden to watch himself or he’ll be the next victim. Read full report after the cut…

From TMZ:

Master P is coming out swingin’ at Kobe Bryant — saying Kobe’s public display of emotion over Lamar Odom is an ACT … because he had the chance to SAVE Lamar, but didn’t step up when it counted. Master P was charged up in the video — saying he was “like a mentor” to Odom and personally knew how serious Lamar was about wanting to return to the NBA.

He says Kobe was also aware of the situation and could have used his clout with the Lakers to get Odom back on the squad, but instead did nothing. “If Kobe was his friend … Kobe, like, owns the team. He could’ve got the man back on the team … that’s all he wanted.”

P also goes off on the NBA — saying Odom was “blackballed” from the league over his decision to be on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” … because at the time, the NBA wanted nothing to do with them. As for Khloe, P says he truly believed Odom loved her — but made a mistake in marrying her because “he didn’t realize what he was getting into.” He concludes with a warning to James Harden.

Why I Cheated On My Husband

A study by the University of Guelph in Ontario, Canada, attempted to answer that question and found that the reasons behind infidelity differ greatly between the sexes. For men, it’s typically about the sex — the more sexually excitable they are, the more likely they are to cheat. For women, it’s more about the level of satisfaction in her relationship; if a woman is unhappy in her marriage, she’s 2.6 times more likely to cheat.

Reason #1: “My husband was abusive, and I wanted comfort.”

“From the day I married my husband, I knew it was a mistake,” says 50-year-old Elizabeth Smith*. “He was abusive, controlling, and expected me to quit my job to make a home for him.” A little over a year into the marriage, she began having an affair with a man that she worked with. “I had no illusions that I was in love, but it was eye-opening to be with someone that made me feel good about myself, made me laugh, and respected me for who I was — not who he wanted me to be,” she says. “The affair helped me find myself and proved to me that I could live a life independent of my husband. It also gave me the courage to ask for a divorce. Twenty-five years later, I’m married to a wonderful man. We love making each other happy, and never try to change who the other person is,” she says.

A takeaway: The confidence she gained from her affair may have given Elizabeth the spark she needed to get out of a bad relationship, but deception is not the best way to deal with an abusive relationship, says New York City psychologist Michael E. Silverman, Ph.D. Get help first from a trusted friend, family member, or therapist instead.

Reason #2: “I changed my mind about having kids, and we began to resent each other.”

When Vanessa Myers*, 28, married her husband six years ago, they both couldn’t wait to have children, but after their wedding day, something changed for her. “I started to really love my job, and kids didn’t seem to fit into the picture,” she says. Her husband was hurt by her change of heart, and began to resent her. “We started fighting a lot and I resented him for resenting me and we were just constantly hurting each other,” she says. “One night I caught him trying to slip off the condom and that was pretty much the end of our sex life.” Ultimately, the lack of intimacy led Vanessa to cheat. “I met a guy online and we dated for about a year,” she says. “It ended when my husband caught me.” Vanessa and her husband agreed to seek therapy separately and together, and were able to save their marriage. “The biggest lesson I learned was that if I was unhappy in my marriage, my husband was only 50 percent to blame,” she says.

A takeaway: The fact that there was unaddressed anger in the relationship created fertile ground for an affair, says Dr. Silverman. “Coupled with the lack of sexual intimacy, there was nothing left to hang a relationship on,” he says. Dr. Silverman stresses the importance of open and honest communication in a relationship as a way for a couple to stay connected — before one of the spouses seeks comfort or intimacy outside of the marriage.

Reason #3: “I was bored and unhappy.”

At 35 years old, Barbara Gisborne was living the American dream. She lived in Madison, Wisconsin, with her loving husband and two children — but she was miserable. “My husband was a good man, but I was bored inside and out,” she says. “In our community, I always felt like a square peg trying to fit in a round hole.” That year, she was in Chicago on business and met Bob, an Australian man, on an elevator. “We had an instant connection. We exchanged numbers, kept in touch, and I decided to fly out to Australia to see him and get him out of my system,” she says. “Instead, I fell in love.” She left everything she knew — her hometown, her husband, her job and her country — to start her life over with Bob in Australia. “I became strong, independent, confident and much worldlier,” she says. “That was 25 years ago and now I can say that my affair was the turning point in my life’s journey. Today, Bob and I are married, own a winery in Australia, and have five children and 10 grandchildren between us.”

A takeaway: Though Barbara’s story ended up with a “happily ever after,” that’s not often the case when it comes to infidelity, which is why Dr. Silverman suggests looking inside yourself if you’re unhappy or bored with your relationship. “Healthy relationships grow and evolve, and feeling bored is a symptom of relationship stagnation. Rather than having an affair, increase the romance, change habitual patterns within the relationship, and communicate more about your feelings and needs.” Before making over her life, Barbara may have changed up the pace by booking an exotic vacation with her husband or girlfriends, or discussed moving to a new city and starting over.

Reason #4: “My husband was a workaholic.”

For 10 years, 49-year-old Barbara Singer created a life independent of her husband because he was never around. “Gary was totally consumed and exhausted by his work — there was nothing left for me,” she says. “I was totally committed to my family and gave it my all, but knew in my heart that I certainly did not want this for rest of my life.” One night, she met up with Tom, an acquaintance, and ended up staying out all night with him. Within a few weeks of meeting him, she ended her marriage, and two years later, she and Tom were married. But within a month, he died of a heart attack. “Meeting Tom was the best and worst thing that ever happened to me. He came into my life and woke me up, showing me … that life is precious and that at any given moment, it can all be taken away, so if I have a dream or a goal, I better get moving on it,” she says.

A takeaway: “Barbara felt alone for many years, and feeling disconnected from your partner is the genesis of most of the affairs I see in my practice,” says Dr. Silverman. The remedy? Speak up and begin a dialogue with your partner. Engaging in open, honest communication about each person’s needs is the key to help a stalled marriage.

Reason #5: “He was unfaithful first.”

Larie Norvell had only been married about a year when she found out that her husband had cheated on her. “I was very angry, but I was also very hurt, because I felt like I wasn’t enough for him — like there was something I wasn’t doing for him as his wife, which is why he felt the need to go outside of our marriage,” says the 33-year-old. That jumble of mixed emotions was the impetus for her affair. “I cheated on him — mostly for revenge, but in retrospect, it was also because I wanted validation. I wanted to know that I was still desirable to other men,” she says. Once her affair was discovered, the couple separated for a few months — but then began to seek counseling and were able to salvage their marriage.

A takeaway: Retribution is a common feeling when someone has been betrayed, says Dr. Silverman. “Anger can be quite powerful in clouding one’s judgment,” he says, which is why he urges any couple dealing with infidelity to seek counseling. Fortunately for Larie, her relationship endured the double deception. “The biggest lesson we’ve learned through all the struggles in 14.5 years is that we are enough for each other,” she says.

Wealthy Man Forced To Live On The Lawn Of His $1.3m Home After Wife Kicks Him Out

A 69-year-old man has been forced to live on the front lawn of his $1.3million mansion for six months after his angry doctor wife kicked him out.
Sharafat Khan is homeless but sleeping just a few feet away from the front door of his lavish Seabrook, Texas, home because the mother of his two children, Shahnaz, 61, changed the locks in the midst of an ongoing domestic dispute.

Someone close to the situation said Khan’s wife claims she can’t file for divorce because she and her husband practice Islam and they strictly follow Sharia law. Khan told KPRC this has nothing to do with religion and everything to do with money.
“She doesn’t want to hand over half her fortune,” he said.
He can’t file for divorce because he claims he can’t afford to.

He has no access to the couple’s money and has been barred from using the washing facilities, even though he owns half the suburban property.

Neighbours are very worried because he is elderly, in poor health and in a fragile state.

“He’s wearing the same clothing, it’s dirty,” neighbor Debbie Scoggins said. “He has no bathroom facilities, no shoes.”

“The weather is starting to get colder,” Laurel Stout, who lives across the street, said. “He’s very frail, he can’t even walk. I’m afraid he is going to die out here in his yard.”

Khan doesn’t feel like he should have to leave because the home and property are just as much his. He said he wants to be allowed inside and he’s hoping he can pressure his wife into changing her mind.

“She doesn’t want me to have any sort of comfort,” he said.

Night after night he sleeps on the front porch wrapped in a sheet. During the day he tries to find shade under the trees. On Monday he was eating saltine crackers and drinking a warm bottle of water.
Neighbors said if they take him blankets and pillows, the wife takes them away.
There are signs posted all over the home instructing the neighbors not to help him or feed him.
Khan said the dispute is over his relationship with other family members. She wanted him to cut ties but he refused.
Police officers who are familiar with the situation said they have been called out to the home 20 to 30 times in the last six months. There is nothing legally they can do because Khan has every right to be there and they can’t force his wife to let him in.

“Our hands are tied,” one officer said.

Adult Protective Services are involved but can’t release specific information about the case because of confidentiality laws. A spokesperson for the agency said they cannot force someone to get help.

“I’m just hoping we can find help for him,” Scoggins said.

“Allowing this to continue is not in the best interest of anyone,” Stout said.

KPRC 2 reached out to the doctor for comment, she said it was a private matter and did not wish to speak about it.
Some problems stemmed from a 2008 assault charge, that’s when Sharafat Khan was accused of hitting his wife, according to court documents.
Family members also said they have tried to get Khan help but he refuses. They’ve spoken with social workers and he’s been in and out of certain facilities but often leaves against medical advice.

She killed herself after travelling to Manchester to attend a business conference and that she left a suicide note for a woman she believed was having an affair with her scientist husband.

The accomplished animal welfare expert told her dad that she was about to commit suicide.
Staff at the Novotel in Worsley, Greater Manchester were alerted by a friend of Ms Putney but were unable to get to her in time.

We visited London on March 7. We had an argument and she told me she was going out to get a drink, then she text me saying she was going to jump in front of a train. “She was found and taken to an emergency care ward where she was hospitalised until 27 April.

Megan Fox And Hubby Call It Quits After 11 Years Together And You Won’t Believe Why

Megan Fox and her husband of 5 years, Brian Austin Green, have separated after 11 years together a source now tells E! News.
The actors who began dating in 2004 and got married in 2010, reportedly decided to take some time apart “six months ago,” according to a source who spoke to Us Weekly. An insider told the tabloid that “things had been rocky” between the actors, who met on the set of the ABC sitcom “Hope & Faith.”
The parents of 2 young boys, Noah and Bodhi, who are 2 years old and 18 months respectively are still choosing to remain friends despite the end of their relationship. The source told US Weekly: “They’re on friendly terms for the sake of the kids. They just want to do their own things.

Similarly, a source tells People, “They will always love each other very much and are devoted to their kids. Anything could happen in the future, but for now they’ve decided it’s best to take some time apart.”

Follow the jump to see the full story + why they are calling it quits and how the general public is responding to their reason:

Megan and Brian have always been off and on as they got engaged in 2006, called it off in 2009, and got engaged a second time in 2010. Days after announcing their plans to marry, the two got married in Hawaii, their favorite vacation destination. In 2012, Megan gushed about marriage in a Cosmopolitan cover story. “We’ve had obstacles, and we’ve overcome them. I truly feel like he’s my soul mate,” she said of her husband. “I don’t want to sound corny or cliché, but I do believe we are destined to live this part of our lives together.” The next year, she told Marie Claire U.K., “We are tolerant of each other and we try to be patient with each other, and I don’t try to turn him into me and he knows not to try to turn me into him.”
So, what went wrong in the relationship?
Apparently, “They fight about her career,” a source tells Us Weekly. “He would prefer she focus on the family more than being obsessed with getting roles.”

Many fans and feminists have already began bashing Brian insisting that a woman wanting to pursue a career is not enough reason to call off a marriage with 2 kids.

Bride To Be Dumped An Hour Before Taking The Vows Just Because She Wanted Kids From The Marriage

Lol some weird stories we read on mirror.co.uk. A bride-to-be whose partner dumped her as she stood in her veil an hour before their wedding has written a letter detailing her heartbreak. Cyndi Maisonneuve says she was “blindsided” when her fiancée broke things off as the wedding guests waited on a beach in Hawaii where the ceremony was due to take place.

In her letter to the Guardian, Cyndi says:

“He came into the room and said we needed to talk alone. He was crying. I assumed he was letting the emotion of the day get to him. Then he said it.

‘I don’t think I can do this.’

I stood there – with the veil already in my hair. This man who was supposed to be the love of my life was telling me he was calling off the wedding less than an hour before we were due on the beach. I didn’t even ask why. I told him to leave.

In her letter, she speaks about how she was about to marry a man that was her best friend, who she’d met two years earlier at a baseball game.

She describes them as besotted and said when he proposed after six months on a beach at sunrise, it didn’t feel too soon.

Cyndi writes: “I was 23 and it felt as if life was coming together.

“People would say how good we were as a match.”

But somehow everything went wrong.

“I had to watch from the window as my sister went to the beach and let everyone know,” she told.

“While I’d been out that morning, he had taken all his clothes and passport.

“He’d actually left me.

“I was heartbroken.”

Cyndi had to stay at the holiday resort for a week, bumping into her ex-fiancée who also stayed on the island.

She describes how she tried to pack her days with activities to stop her thinking about things, and to try and tire herself out so she would fall asleep at night.

The devastated woman ends the letter with: “The reason he gave for calling it off was that he didn’t want children and I did.

“He never said why that became an irresolvable issue only on the day itself.

“Eventually we lost touch.

“Now, six years on, I’ve started dating again.

“What happened is far enough in the past now not to hurt so much.

“I can even laugh about it.”

Don’t Pay $50,000 To See Me Or My Husband, Aisha Buhari Warns

Wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, has warned that anyone who demands $50,000 to enable him see her or her husband should be disregarded.

Speaking at an appreciation dinner she hosted for women and youths at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa on Saturday, she said whoever demands money to facilitates his or her seeing her or her husband was neither working for the President nor the All Progressives Congress, APC.

She said: “I will like to inform you that in the past regime, whether it is true or false, only God knows. Some people were going round, parading themselves as personal assistants. If you wanted to see the First Lady, you will pay $30,000 or $50,000; and if you are seeing the President, you will pay all that you have gathered in your lifetime.

“This will not happen in our regime. Whoever asks you to give a single penny in the name of coming to see the President or his wife is not our staff. He is not an APC member; it is a lie. Don’t be deceived.”

She stated that there was nothing people did not say about the past administration, stressing that it was not former President Goodluck Jonathan that was not good but the people around him.

The President’s wife said the people that are going to be around her husband have to be very careful because the election ended peacefully.

“We are praying and hoping that people around him should know that it took him 12 years to get to that position and they must know that they are coming to serve the masses, not President Muhammadu Buhari in person.

“It is the people that are around him that will determine the political health of our state.

“I am so delighted to stand before you today as the wife of a former Head of State and today being called the wife of the President. It was such a long journey and we thank God it ended this way; we really thank God.

“I want to thank all Nigerian women and youths for the crucial roles they played towards the success of the last elections. I am very much aware of your steadfastness during the election campaigns up till the elections proper,” she said.

She explained that in line with the philosophy of her husband, the administration would be open to all Nigerians.

While noting the challenges faced by the country in the areas of security, unemployment and corruption, she said the responsibility to solve the problems should not be left for the government alone.

Mrs. Buhari also used the occasion to explain that her husband never put her in purdah.

She urged Nigerians to come up with practical solutions, collectively and individually, that would facilitate answers to the ills of the society, especially women issues.

“Even, by the recent campaigns, it was Bola Ahmed Tinubu who insisted that I should come out and support my husband. Not that I never liked supporting my husband but it all depended on the people around him. And now, it is the people around him that said they wanted me to participate; we did and we have seen the difference.

“My husband is a gender- sensitive being, having so many girls as his own biological children and then having me as his wife. Then, you can see the generation gap. He allowed me to go to school. To cut the story short, he is the pillar of my success.

“The women of Nigeria are not asking for equal representation but a fair representation.

“As you are all aware, they were the major voters; we constitute more than 50 per cent and in the end, we found out that the number of female legislators that we used to have declined. I do not think this is fair to women. We feel we are not adequately represented.

“We should now make it as a mission in the next four years, to fight for fair representation of women in both leadership and decision-making bodies,” she said.

She also spoke on the high rate of divorce in the North, widowhood in the South and female students’ harassment in higher institutions, demanding that something be done to solve the problems.
