Babalola Rotimi jailed for killing father, stabbing mother.

Forty-eight hours after he was paraded by the Lagos State police command for allegedly killing his father and stabbing his mother into a state of unconsciousness, Babalola Rotimi Junior, 24, was remanded at the Ikoyi Prisons yesterday for both offences.

Magistrate Bola Folarin-Williams of an Ebute Meta Chief Magistrates’ Court gave the order when he appeared before her on a two-count charge of murder and attempted murder with knives. The magistrate said the accused should be remanded pending the receipt of legal advice from the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPPs).

Rotimi’s plea on the first count of murder was, however, not taken as the court lacked the jurisdiction to try such matters. He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge of attempted murder and was granted a bail of N500,000 with two responsible sureties, both of whom must be blood relations.

She alleged that the accused had stabbed his father, Babalola Rotimi, 59, to death with a kitchen knife.

The accused was also alleged to have stabbed his mother, Adijat Babalola, who is presently battling with her life in an undisclosed hospital with another knife.

“My father wanted to use charms to make me rich, I don’t know why he would want to do that to me despite being a practicing Muslim. My parents would lock me up and send thugs to beat me up, I stabbed them out of frustration and because he would not give me money for my upkeep. I went to Shoprite to purchase two knives to defend myself and to gain my freedom because I was always locked up in my room,” Rotimi said.

The prosecutor said that the offences contravened Sections 221 and 222 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011. Section 221 prescribes a death sentence for offenders. The accused, a deportee from Ireland, showed no sign of remorse and claimed his father deserved what he dished to him while in court.

The court, however, adjourned the case till January 23, 2017 pending the receipt of legal advice from the Lagos State Director of Public Prosecutions (DPPs).

In a related development, a 24-year-old man, Godwin Simon, was on Wednesday arraigned in an Ebute-Metta Chief Magistrates’ Court, Lagos, for allegedly stabbing one Bankole Olubode to death. The accused, who resides at No. 73, Olaro Road, Abule-Egba, is facing trial on a count charge of murder.

The plea of the accused, was, however, not taken.

The prosecutor, Cpl. Hafsat Ajibodu had told the court that the offence was committed on December 2 at about 9:30p.m., at No. 1, Sadiku St., Oke-Odo, Abule-Egba.

She alleged that the accused and the deceased had a misunderstanding, while Simon used a kitchen knife to stab the deceased in his neck. Ajibodu said that the offence contravened Section 221 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.

The Magistrate, Mrs. O.A. Salawu, ordered that the accused should be remanded at the Ikoyi Prisons, pending an advice from the state Director of Public Prosecutions. The case was also adjourned till January 23.

My son’s killers must be punished – Mother of murdered DSP Alkali

The family members of the late DSP Mohammed Alkali, who was murdered during the rerun election in Rivers State, are demanding justice, saying nothing would pacify them but the prosecution of the perpetrators.

The mother of the deceased, Hajia Rakiya Alkali, in an interview with Northern City News in Bosso, Niger State, said the killers of her son would not go unpunished, stressing that the spirit of the late police officer would not rest until his killers were identified and punished.

“Whoever did this to my son will never go unpunished by God. The spirit of my son will not rest until the person confesses, but in everything God knows the best,” she said.

Alkali was beheaded and his aide murdered by some assailants during the legislative rerun election in Rivers State on December 10,2016, but the police said they had arrested some suspects in connection with the killing.

His remains were buried in Bosso, Niger State, on Monday.

The bereaved mother said all the family wanted was for justice to prevail to deter a recurrence of such criminality in the society.

She said, “I want the government to fish out the killers of my son and bring them to book. My son seeks justice. I pray the government is ready and willing to bring them (suspects) to face the law, but if not, with the help of God, vengeance will take its course.”

Speaking in the same vein, a sibling of the deceased, who did not want her name in print, stated that the family would pray for divine vengeance if the government failed to apprehend and punish his killers.

She said, “Mohammed’s nickname is ‘Justice’ and he earned the name right from his youth. He had always believed in justice and hated injustice. So, justice must prevail, the perpetrators must face the wrath of the law. We want justice to prevail and if nothing is done, God will do His own.”

My Son’s Death A Relief, Says Mother Of 23 Year Old Who Died Struggling For Gun

A vigilance group commander in the Oke Aro area of Ogun State, Quadri Adesina, has been arrested by the police after an alleged accidental discharge from his gun killed a 23-year-old man, Yusuf Azeez.

Azeez reportedly wanted to wrest the gun from the suspect when a bullet hit him in the thigh. He was rushed to a hospital in the area, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

It was learnt that the deceased’s mother, 42-year-old Toyin Akintayo, had invited Adesina and his colleagues to her residence on CAC Street, Oke Aro, around 8pm on Tuesday to apprehend Azeez, who allegedly threatened to kill her.

It was gathered that Azeez had arrived at home on that day at about 6pm and requested his dinner. The mother was said to have explained to him that she didn’t have enough money to prepare a meal.

Trouble started after the mother, who sells confectionery, gave him N200 to buy food, saying that was all she could afford. He reportedly smashed a bottle on the ground and vowed to kill her.

The mother said, “I wanted to break my fast on that day with garri when he arrived at home. I said there was no kerosene in the stove to prepare food for him and his younger brother. I gave him N200 and the brother N70. He said the N200 was small and threw it at me.

“I explained to him that it was all I had and that we wouldn’t have been in the situation if he did not steal the compressor of my freezer, which I used to sell ice blocks. I also advised him to find a job. He became angry and started threatening me with a knife and the shard of a bottle. He said he would not allow me to sleep at home that night and vowed to kill me.

“I sneaked out to call members of a vigilance group beside our house. They followed me home and tried to pacify him. He fought them and fought for the control of  a gun that one of them carried. The gun exploded in the process and he was injured in the thigh. He died at a hospital near here.”

Akintayo described her son’s death as a relief to her, saying she could no longer endure the shame his notoriety for “stealing and street fighting” had brought to the family.

She added that his son’s gang members stormed her house on Wednesday and threatened that she would pay for Azeez’s death.

She said, “I enrolled him in three different secondary schools, he dropped out. I took him to five different furniture experts to learn the work, he absconded. He went into barbing; I gave him N85,000 to rent a shop and furnished it for him. He didn’t go to the shop until the rent expired.

“His death is a relief to me and the family. He was too troublesome. There was a time he beat up an Oodua Peoples Cogress member while we were living in Idimu (Lagos). I spent a lot of money on the man’s treatment.

“A few weeks ago, he fought in Agege. He was seriously injured. He had been arrested many times by the police for several offences.”

The suspect, 48-year-old Adesina, who is in detention at the Agbado Police Division, said Azeez had beaten the two security guards that accompanied him to the scene, adding that he only wanted to prevail on him from causing further havoc when his gun exploded.

He said, “There was no light when we entered the building. He attacked us and two of my boys fled. I told him that I came to make peace. He said he didn’t fear my gun. He descended on me and wanted to snatch it. We were dragging it with each other when it exploded. I didn’t kill him. He would have killed me and his mother if he had access to the gun.”

The Police Public Relations Officer, Ogun State Police Command, ASP Abimbola Oyeyemi, confirmed the incident.

He said, “The Divisional Police Officer of the station, CSP Abioye Shittu, led operatives to the scene and the suspect has been arrested. The case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation and Intelligence Department, Eleweran, Abeokuta.”

Justice Ofili-Ajumogobia Fail To Show Properties She Claimed Her Mother Gave Her

Justice Rita Ofili-Ajumogobia took agents of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on a wild goose chase as she traveled with them from Lagos to Benin and Asaba in search of properties she claimed her late mother bequeathed to her. However, the search was futile as the judge was unable to show agents the said properties she allegedly inherited from her mother.

An EFCC source told SaharaReporters that a bus carrying Justice Ofili-Ajumogobia and a team of anti-corruption agents first arrived in Benin City, the capital of Edo State, because the judge had claimed that some of the $900k she wired abroad from bank accounts in Nigeria was income from properties she ostensibly inherited. She had told EFCC agents that her brother, Donald Ofili, and a lawyer based in Asaba, the Delta State capital, were managing the said properties. However, agents who traveled to Benin City to verify the existence of the houses claimed by the embattled judge as the source of some of her income did not find a single property.

Our source said that the judge, who sat in the back of the bus, often covered herself with a wrapper and muttered into a hand-held device as they drove her to Benin City. According to the source, EFCC agents let the judge be, but occasionally asked her to let them talk to her brother, Mr. Donald Ofili. However, on their arrival in Benin, the judge’s brother reportedly spoke on the phone to EFCC agents, asserting that their mother owned homes in the city, but confessing that his sister had asked him to claim that the $120k he wired into her account came from rental fees.

The operatives said that, on discovering that her brother had blown open her game, Justice Ofili-Ajumogobia changed tunes and claimed that a lawyer not known to her brother managed the properties. She also told stunned agents that she could not recollect the addresses of the properties. When agents reminded her that her brother also claimed not to know the addresses of the properties, the judge urged the agents to proceed to Asaba, claiming she would then have enough time to contact the mysterious Benin lawyer.

Upset by the judge’s evasive manner, EFCC agents demanded to speak with the lawyer in advance as they drove to Asaba. Justice Ofili-Ajumogobia reportedly rang the so-called lawyer and handed her phone over to an EFCC agent. The man then promised the EFCC agents that he would be waiting to receive them in Asaba, adding that he was visiting a community outside Asaba.

However, once the EFCC agents arrived in Asaba, the judge told them that the lawyer who reportedly managed her properties had traveled to Owerri. Furious, members of the EFCC team demanded to speak again with the lawyer, but his line had been switched off. They demanded that the judge take them to the properties, but she again said she did not know the address. The irate EFCC operatives spent the night in Asaba, but seized the judge’s phone to ensure she would not use it to plot against them. As they disembarked from the bus, the agents discovered that the judge had another phone hidden in her wrapper, which they also took away.

Our source said that, despite taking away the second phone, they discovered the judge continued to mutter under her wrapper during the journey back to Lagos. Once in Lagos, a female EFCC detective searched the judge and discovered that she had hidden up to five phones underneath her clothing. She had also concealed an iPad.

According to our EFCC source, an initial check of the phones showed that the embattled justice was using different phones to communicate with her suspected accomplices perhaps tutoring them to lie to investigators about the source of her inexplicable cash transactions. The source said the phones retrieved from the judge would also be sent to experts for forensic checks.

A senior EFCC source confirmed the drama with Justice Ofili-Ajumogobia, adding that the agency was considering revoking the judge’s administrative bail, accusing her of making moves to undermine their investigative tasks.

She said she had taken Stival to school but was not seen as for the time she went back to get him in the afternoon.

Nevertheless, CCTV footage showed that she had not dropped him off at school that day.

Prosecutors branded her an ‘egocentric, manipulative liar.’

She also blamed the husband’s father, Andrea Stival, When she confessed that her son had been killed in November 2014.

Man Insists He is the Biological Son of Former President Bill Clinton

Rumors that Bill Clinton once fathered a child with a prostitute have reemerged, as the now 30-year-old man is trying to have the former president recognize him as his son. The man, Danney Williams started a Facebook page in December, under the new name Danney Williams-Clinton, with the intention of getting the Clintons’ attention.

The claim was initially made in the late 1990s by Williams’ mother and in 1999, a DNA test reportedly conducted by Star magazine said that Danney couldn’t be Clinton’s son but the result of the test wasn’t really clear.

Danney’s story first garnered international attention in 1992, as then-Arkansas Gov Clinton
was getting ready to run for the presidency.

The Globe interviewed Danney’s mother, a former prostitute named Bobbie Ann Williams, who gave them the exclusive story of how she allegedly met and began an affair with Clinton in 1984.

She said when she was 24 years old in 1984, Bill Clinton went out for a run one day in Little Rock, Arkansas when he jogged by her housing project and introduced himself to her. She was 24 years old at the time.

A few days later, Clinton allegedly jogged by the housing project again and paid Bobbie $200 for sex with him behind some bushes.

After that, Bobbie says that she and Clinton became a regular customer, sometimes alone, sometimes with other female partners.  he said she eventually became pregnant and thought the baby was Clinton’s child after she had the baby on December 7th 1985 and saw that the baby was mixed. She added that Clinton was her only white customer at the time she got pregnant.

She said when she told Clinton who was a Governor at the time that she had had his child, he allegedly laughed in her face.

She said:

‘He rubbed my big belly and said, “Girl, that can’t be my baby.” But I knew it was. I just had this kind of woman’s feeling that this was his child.”

In 2013, Danney gave an interview with The Globe, explaining why he wanted to meet Clinton.

He said:

‘I read he doesn’t have long to live and I want to meet him face to face before he dies,’ Williams said. ‘I just want to shake his hand and say “Hi Dad,” before he dies. I’d like to have a relationship with Chelsea, too. She’s my half-sister.’

Neighbours Defend Mum-Of-Two Arrested For ‘Stabbing Boyfriend To Death’

A mum-of-two has been arrested on suspicion of murder after allegedly stabbing her partner to death.
The woman, who has been named locally as Elizabeth Hart-Browne, 27, was detained shortly after 11pm on Saturday night at her home.

Neighbours recalled hearing “screams” shortly before the police arrived and a pool of blood could be seen near to the flat in Ealing, west London, yesterday.

It is believed the woman stabbed her partner named by a neighbour as Stephen Rayner, inside before he later collapsed outside the property.

One man, who did not want to be named, said: “She’s a lovely girl, she is decent, all I know is if she
has done what she’s done there must have been a cause for it. There’s more than what it looks like, she wouldn’t just do this, he would have had to have done something. He was quite an abusive guy behind closed doors, she was a decent girl, that’s all I’ve got to say.”

Another neighbour, Patrick Meehan, 72, who has lived in the block of flats for 20 years, said: “At about half 11 I heard girls screaming.

“And it went on till 1am, I heard a lot of commotion between half 11 and 1am.

“It was out here and it was mostly a girl screaming, or children, maybe even young girls.

“It’s the first time this sort of thing has happened, never anything this serious, it’s a fairly stable community.

“We have some people who come here and drink and fight and are loud, but nothing to this extreme.

“I heard something on Friday night, some sort of noise below me, there was shouting but last night was more real, the screams were more real.

“But I thought it was local people just drunk from the pub, I didn’t get up to look.

“It’s very sad someone has lost their life and it is shocking for it to happen so close to home.”
Flowers were left at the scene yesterday in a tribute to the man.

She is due to appear in court today.

Baby Rescued After Being Dumped In 30 Feet Pit Toilet by Teenage Mother

A two-week-old baby was rescued in Narok, Kenya on Thursday, September 1, after being dumped into a 30-feet pit latrine by its mother. Police are looking for the teenager who was said to have fled the scene.

Speaking to the media, some slaughterhouse workers said a woman, believed to be in her late teens was seen carrying a wrapped item while heading towards a nearby toilet. She came out empty-handed. After a short while, they decided to check the toilet after hearing the sound of a crying baby.
Upon checking, they found a baby wrapped in a plastic bag. They decided to inform the local police

when their efforts to remove it from the pit latrine failed. When the police arrived, they worked hand in hand with area residents to save the infant.
They hooked a long rod on the swaddle to pull out the baby alive. The infant had a piece of clothe tightened around its neck and the head was bleeding, a confirmation that the mother had intended to kill it.
The baby was rushed to Narok County Referral Hospital for treatment.

The pastor’s wife, Veronica Ngwu, was said to have petitioned the court over the development.

The victims whom Mr. Ngwu converted to his “wives” were said to be members of his church: Gods’ Favour Ministry, Nsukka.

One of the victims, Calista Omeye, however, told the court that her husband, Fidelis Omeye, had persuaded her to meet the pastor as he wanted her to do the will of God through the pastor.

“My husband was a member of the church and he introduced me to the church, because he said that the pastor had a revelation for me (Calista),” Mrs. Omeye said.

Cops Rescue Baby Covered In Vomit From His Drunk Mother

A baby discovered covered in vomit in the backseat of an DUI driver’s vehicle was given a good wash and some TLC at a West Virginia Police station on Tuesday night.

The one-year-old boy was a complete mess when he was found in the back of his mother’s car.

After she was arrested, her son was taken away by cops and given a bath in the sink of the kitchen at the police HQ.

He was then wrapped in a towel, and then cradled until Child Protective Service officials arrived.

‘We made an arrest for DUI,’ said trooper B.R. Wood, with the Princeton detachment to the Bluefield Daily Telegraph. Cops found the little guy sitting in the back seat.

‘The one-year-old baby boy was in the backseat covered in vomit. The vehicle was disabled, so we brought the baby boy back.

‘He was the best little baby. He had just started to nod off when Child Protective Services arrived.’

The baby had been sick for some time and had been a little ‘under the weather’.

Luckily, a small teddy bear was also on hand to keep him happy.

The baby has now been placed with a legal guardian and is safely under the supervision of CPS.

The driver of the vehicle faces a charge of DUI with a minor, which carries a penalty of up to a year in jail and a fine of $1,000.

Usain Bolt’s Mother Wants Him To Find a Wife But Sadly, She Will Have To Wait Five More Years

Jamaica’s Usain Bolt became the first athlete to win three Olympic 100m titles by beating American Justin Gatlin to gold at Rio 2016 Games. The 29-year-old ran 9.81 seconds in his final Olympics to replicate his success at Beijing 2008 and London 2012.

His mom, Jennifer Bolt, thinks that’s cool and all, but what she’s really interested in is having grandchildren. Really Soon. Lol

“I would hope he’ll settle down, get married and start his family,” Jennifer Bolt told CNN’s Don Riddell in a segment that aired Saturday about what she hopes Bolt will do after the Olympics end.
“I know he’ll settle down because he has said it,” she said. “He told me many times that he’s going to start his family.

But in an interview with the Telegraph last month, Bolt said he wont be walking down the aisle anytime soon.
“I’ve thought about it, but I know I’m not going to get married before 35, for sure,”
He said he doesn’t want to wind up like Wayne Rooney, the Manchester United forward who married his high school sweetheart in 2008 when he was 21 years old.
But for Bolt, who will turn 30 on Aug. 21, the whole having a family thing still sounds like some sort of trap.
“Like, Rooney got married so young — all the footballers that are English, as soon as they get really famous they have to get married. And I think it’s unfair to them,”  he said.
“It’s hard for you to stay with one woman because girls are literally just throwing themselves at you. You get famous, there’s so much pressure of girls wanting you. And for you to get married at 21, you have not lived one bit.”

A mother and her son could be jailed after they began a sexual relationship with each other. Monica Mares, 36, and her son Caleb Peterson, 19, face up to 18 months in prison if found guilty of incest at a trial later this year.

The couple say they are ‘madly in love’ and nothing will tear them apart.

Caleb was adopted when he was a baby and only reunited with his mum 18 years later.

Mother-of-nine Monica was just 16 when she gave birth to her son and reconnected with him over
Facebook before arranging to meet up last Christmas.

They soon began a s3xual relationship and Caleb moved in with his mum and her two youngster children – his own half siblings.

In an interview with Daily Mail Online , the couple told how they are willing to risk everything to be together and have decided to go public with their affair in a bid to raise awareness of Genetic Sexual Attraction (GSA) relationships.

There relationship came to light when they were reported to the police and charged with incest.

They are banned from having contact with each other – they were interviewed separately – and live apart in Clovis, New Mexico, while they await a trial next month.

Mother Reunites With Son Abducted 21 Years Ago

A California mother, Maria Mancia, whose son was abducted in 1995 reunited with him on Thursday after 21 years.
The last time Mancia saw her son was when he was just 18 months old and only had a single photo of him.
Her son, Steve Hernandez, who is now 22 years old, was found living in Puebla, Mexico, by investigators in the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Child Abduction Unit and on Thursday morning was brought to the U.S. to meet his mother for an emotional reunion.

“Now this anguish I’ve carried is gone now that I have my son back,” Mancia said. “I spent 21 years looking for him not knowing anything.”

The SBC District Attorney’s Child Abduction Unit had been looking for Hernandez through the years, searching for him in several states until investigators received a strong tip in February that he was in Mexico.

According to authorities, his father, Valentin Hernandez, is said to be missing and believed to be dead.
Investigator Karen Cragg, who led the search, said they had to approach Steve Hernandez delicately.

“We used a ruse to contact him. We told him we were investigating his father and we needed his DNA to help locate his father,” Cragg told The Associated Press on Thursday. “We didn’t want to scare him off. We weren’t sure what the circumstances were down there. We had to tread very carefully.”

According to police reports, Mancia and Valentin Hernandez had been living with their son Steve Hernandez in Rancho Cucamonga, California, in 1995 but were having relationship problems. Mancia said she came home from work one day to find both the elder Hernandez and their son missing and all of their photos of the boy, including an ultrasound gone as well.

She immediately reported the boy missing and the investigation had been active ever since, first with the Sheriff’s Department, then with DA’s investigators.

Once investigators located Steve in Mexico, DNA sample was obtained in February to acertain that he was truly Mancia’s son.
Once they got a positive match, Cragg drove straight to Mancia’s house to give her the good news.

“She began to cry. She said she couldn’t believe he was still alive.”

Because Steve Hernandez is a U.S. citizen, there were no immigration troubles returning him to the U.S., Cragg said. He had no personal documents at all, but his mother had his birth certificate and more.
The boy’s father had told him that his mother abandoned the two of them.

Steve Hernandez  said:

“I lived all these years without my mother, then to find out she’s alive in another country, it’s emotional.”

He said he plans to stay in the U.S. and hopes to attend law school, which he already started in Mexico. He hugged his crying mother and wiped tears from her eyes.

US Man To Die By Lethal Injection For Gunning Down Daughters As He Made Their Mom Listen On The Phone

A 60-year-old former US Marine is set to die by lethal injection tomorrow for gunning down his two young daughters as their mum listened on the phone.

John Battaglia sprayed Faith, nine, and Liberty, six, with bullets from his 45 caliber pistol in his home’s loft in the town of Livingston, Texas, on May 2, 2001.

He had picked them up for a regular custody visit on the day he learned there was a warrant out for his arrest for violating probation, which he was serving after being convicted of assaulting his
ex-wife.

She called police because he had left an abusive message on her phone.

“Mommy, why do you want Daddy to have to go to jail?” Faith asked her mother Mary Jean Pearle before she died.

Then Ms Pearle heard Faith say: “No, Daddy, please don’t do it.”

The horrified mother heard gunshots, followed by Battaglia screaming: “Merry f*****g Christmas”.

More gunshots followed.

Battaglia then went to a nearby tattoo parlour and had two roses – representing the two daughters he had just gunned down – inked on his arm.

It was there he was arrested by police.

When asked what he feels about their death, he said: “Why would I worry about where they are
now?

“We’re all here; we’re all gone at the same time. I’m not worried about it.”

Battaglia will be the sixth Texan executed this year, and the 537th since the state reinstated the death penalty in 1976.

Mother Of Paris Suicide Bomber Says “STRESS” May Have Caused Her Son To Blow Himself Up

The mother of a Paris suicide bomber says her son ‘did not mean to kill anyone’ – and claims he may have blown himself up because of stress.

Ibrahim Abdeslam, 31, launched a solo attack outside the cafe Comptoir Voltaire, close to the scene of the Bataclan concert hall massacre on Friday night.

His brother Mohamed Abdeslam, a former council worker, was arrested in Molenbeek in western Brussels, a day after the attacks in the French capital, in which at least 129 were killed and hundreds more were injured.

Police missed their chance to bring in the third brother, Salah, when he was questioned as he crossed the border to Belgium after the attacks. He is now the object of a massive international manhunt.

Today their mother defended Ibrahim, suggesting his suicide jacket may have done off by accident and said he could have carried out the attack because he was ‘stressed’.

Speaking outside the family home, the Abdeslam family claimed that they were ‘surprised’ that Ibrahim blew himself up near the Stade de France, even though he had spent time in Syria.

Their mother, speaking to a reporter through her nephew – the bombers’ cousin – on the doorstep of the family home in Molenbeek, told Het Laatste Nieuws that they were sure he had not planned to kill anyone

‘This was not his plan, that’s for sure,’ she said. ‘The fact that his suicide belt exploded without killing anyone says a lot.’

The family added: ‘We even saw him two days before the attacks. There were no signs that they has plans to do anything violent.’

The family admitted he had spent ‘a long time’ in Syria.

‘We were really surprised that Salah was involved. Ibrahim was different. We did see that he had been radicalised, at least in part. But not so much that we ever thought he would commit an atrocity like this.’

Another family member at the brothers’ home claimed that he would not have wanted to become a suicide bomber: ‘Maybe the explosives went off prematurely by accident. Maybe it was stress.’

Prosecutors have identified Ibrahim, who seriously injured a bystander when he detonated his suicide bomb, as the man who rented a Seat car used in the attacks.

The vehicle was used by the terrorists who murdered diners outside the Casa Nostra pizza restaurant and the La Belle Équipe cafe.

It was found abandoned 20 minutes away in Montreuil with a cache of weapons inside.

The Cafe Voltaire bomb was one of seven deadly attacks carried out by jihadists on a night of bloodshed in Paris.

PARIS MASSACRE: WHAT WE KNOW SO FAR ABOUT THE DEADLIEST TERROR ATTACK TO HIT EUROPE IN A DECADE

At least 129 people are dead, and another 352 injured, after three teams of jihadis struck the Stade de France football stadium, a handful of bars and cafes, and then finally the Bataclan concert hall.

FIRST TWO ATTACKS: STADE DE FRANCE

  • The attacks began at 8.17pm GMT at the Stade de France where the French football team was hosting Germany in an international friendly.
  • The game was being watched by 80,000 spectators, among them was President Francois Hollande who had to be evacuated from the stadium.
  • The first explosion, a suicide bombing, was at an entrance to the stadium. A suicide bomber approached the gate with a match ticket when he was frisked by a security guard who turned him away.
  • He backed away from the gate and detonated his vest at about 8.20pm GMT near Gate D of the stadium, killing one other person. A passport with the name Ahmed Almuhamed, 25, from Syria, was allegedly found nearby.
  • A second suicide bomber, Bilal Hadfi, 20, blew himself up near Gate H several minutes later. No one else was reported killed. Hadfi is said to have fought with ISIS in Syria.

THIRD ATTACK: LE PETIT CAMBODGE AND LE CARILLON BAR

  • At 8.25pm GMT a separate team of gunmen arrived in a Black Seat and attacked diners at popular Cambodian restaurant Le Petit Cambodge and Le Carillon bar in the trendy Canal Saint-Martin area of eastern Paris, killing 15.

FOURTH ATTACK: LA CASA NOSTRA PIZZERIA AND LA BELLE EQUIPE BAR

  • The same unit then drove about 500 yards to La Casa Nostra pizzeria and opened fire on diners on the terrace of the restaurant, killing at least five people.
  • From there, the militants drove around a mile south-east – apparently past the area of the Bataclan concert venue – to launch another attack, this time on La Belle Equipe bar in Rue de Charonne. At least 19 people died after the terrace was sprayed with bullets at 8.38pm GMT. The attackers then drove off.

FIFTH ATTACK: CAFÉ ‘COMPTOIR VOLTAIRE’

  • Five minutes later, Ibrahim Abdeslam, 31, set off a suicide vest outside the outside cafe ‘Comptoir Voltaire’ on the Boulevard Voltaire and close to the Bataclan theatre. He hired a black Seat car used in the attack.

SIXTH ATTACK: BATACLAN MUSIC HALL

  • At 8.49pm GMT, the third group (believed to be three men and a woman) armed with AK-47s stormed the Bataclan music hall and began shooting members of the crowd. Survivors claim three blew themselves up and a fourth person was shot dead by police before they could detonate their bomb.

SEVENTH ATTACK: NEAR STADE DE FRANCE

  • At around 8.50pm GMT a third blast took place near the Stade de France, this time by a McDonald’s restaurant on the fringes of the stadium. The boom caused terror among spectators who had already been attempting to flee the stadium following the first two explosions. The attacker who detonated his suicide vest was identified as a 20-year-old French man living in Belgium.

AFTERMATH:

  • On Saturday morning, ISIS claimed responsibility for the attacks across Paris, saying ‘eight brothers wearing explosive belts and carrying assault rifles’ conducted a ‘blessed attack on… Crusader France’.
  • On Saturday afternoon, three people travelling in a grey VW Polo were arrested at the French/Belgian border when police traced the car after it was sighted outside the Bataclan theatre at the time of the attacks.
  • One of the Stade de France suspects was found carrying a Syrian passport under the name Ahmed Almuhamed who travelled to France as a migrant through Greece on October 3. Ferry tickets reveal he travelled with another man named as Mohammed Almuhamed.
  • However, the French minister of justice Christiane Taubira said on Sunday that the passport under the name Ahmed Almuhamed was a fake.
  • Omar Ismaël Mostefai, 29, from Courcouronnes, Paris was also named as a Bataclan suicide bomber. The petty criminal and father-of-one was known to police as a radical and had travelled to Algeria and Syria. He was identified by the fingerprint on a severed digit found after he detonated his suicide belt.
  • Mostefai is believed to have been radicalised by a Belgian hate preacher of Moroccan descent claimed to have regularly preached at his mosque in South West France. His father, a brother and other family members have been held and are being questioned.
  • The black Seat Leon used by the terrorists who murdered diners outside the Casa Nostra pizza restaurant and the La Belle Équipe cafe was found abandoned 20 minutes away in Montreuil with a cache of weapons inside.
  • Seven people were detained in Belgium linked to the atrocities – three at the border and four in Brussels. Five are from the Molenbeek area of Brussels known as a ‘den of terrorists’.
  • Iraqi spies warned the West of an ISIS suicide bomber threat the day before the Paris atrocities, it was revealed on Sunday, as more details of major intelligence failures began to emerge. The US-led coalition in Syria was apparently told by Iraqi security sources that 24 extremists were involved in the terror operation planned in the ISIS capital Raqqa and it would involve 19 attackers including five others including bombmakers and planners. No detail was given of when or where an attack might take place.
  • It has also emerged that Turkey’s authorities foiled a plot to stage a ‘Jihadi John revenge attack’ in Istanbul – involving a high-profile British jihadist – on the same day as the deadly massacre in Paris.
  • From as far back as August, France’s authorities possessed information that militants were said to be planning attacks on French concert halls after a tip-off was received from a 30-year-old man who was detained on his way back from Syria.
  • On Sunday night there were 42 people still said to be in intensive care in hospital following Friday’s terrorist attacks.

LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:

  • French police are still hunting for three gunmen on the run, including Brussels-born Frenchman Salah Abdeslam, and an ISIS bombmaker likely to have made the suicide vests.
  • An international arrest warrant has been issued for Abdeslam, 26, who is accused of renting a Volkswagen Polo used by the suicide bombers. He is one of three brothers believed to be at the heart of the eight-strong ISIS cell.
  • It emerged on Sunday night that police found Abdeslam near the Belgian border early Saturday but let him go after he showed them his ID card. Officers pulled over the car being driven by Abdelslam on Saturday morning on the A2 motorway between Paris and Brussels. Two other men were also in the Seat car. At the time, officers in Paris knew that Abdeslam had rented the car used by the killers which had been abandoned near the theatre but the information had not been transmitted to those responsible for conducting the border checks.
  • His brother Ibrahim, 31, blew himself up in a solo attack outside cafe Comptoir Voltaire after renting a black Seat found abandoned today filled with AK-47s and ammunition. A third sibling, named as Mohamed Abdeslam, has been arrested in the Belgian capital.
  • On Sunday evening the French defence ministry announced that the country’s warplanes had bombed Islamic State’s stronghold in Syria’s Raqa, destroying a command post and a training camp, the defence ministry said. Ten fighter jets were involved, dropping 20 bombs.

Minutes after Ibrahim launched his solo attack, another group of militants – believed to be three men and a woman – armed with AK-47s stormed the Bataclan music hall and began shooting members of the crowd.

Survivors claim three blew themselves up and a fourth person was shot dead by police before they could detonate their bomb.

Salah Abdeslam, 26, from a suburb of Brussels known as the ‘jihadi’ capital of Europe, is now the subject of a vast international manhunt – but incredibly he was stopped and then released by officers guarding the Belgian border hours after the attacks.

One of his brothers, Ibrahim Abdeslam, 31, was one of seven terrorists who died on Friday night after he blew himself up in a solo attack outside cafe Comptoir Voltaire. He had rented a black Seat found yesterday in Paris packed with AK-47s and ammunition.

The third sibling, Mohammed Abdeslam, was in custody in Belgium last night after being arrested in a Brussels, where the ISIS terror cell may have met before the raid to gather automatic weapons and suicide vests.

Seven people have been detained in Belgium linked to the atrocities – three at the border and four in Brussels. Five are from the Molenbeek area of Brussels known as a ‘den of terrorists’.

Police revealed today they had found the other vehicle used in the terror attacks – a black Seat Leon - abandoned in the Montreuil area of France. The car is not shown in this photo but smashed glass, believed to be from the vehicle, remains on the floor after it was driven off

It has emerged that a car rented by Salah Abdeslam was abandoned by the Bataclan Theatre, while a Seat rented by his brother Ibrahim was dumped in Montreull with three AK-47s and some ammunition. Adeslam was questioned as he approached the Belgian border and Sunday morning in a third car which was later abandoned in the Jihadi hotspot of Molenbeek, where he disappeared

French police have said homegrown terrorist Omar Ismaël Mostefai, 29, from Courcouronnes, Paris, was one of the Bataclan suicide bombers where 89 died while Belgian Bilal Hadfi, 20, who had spent time fighting with ISIS in Syria before returning to Europe, detonated his suicide vest at the Stade de France where three died.

One of Bataclan suspects was found carrying a Syrian passport under the name Ahmed Almuhamed who travelled to France as a migrant through Greece and blew himself up at the Stade de France.

Greek ferry tickets reveal he travelled to Europe with another man named as Mohammed Almuhamed.

This morning French security sources claimed the fourth terrorist now identified is Frenchman Samy Aminour, 28, after a series of raids on addresses on the Parisian suburbs of Seine-Saint-Denis and Bobigny linked to his family overnight.

Police believe he was a part of the team of four terrorists who killed 89 at the Bataclan rock gig.

He is said to have been known to French anti-terror police since 2012 when he was prosecuted for trying to flee France for Yemen.

The French interior ministry confirmed that anti-terror police conducted 168 raids across the country overnight.

They have arrested dozens of people following the deadly attacks in Paris on Friday.

Heavily armed tactical units launched dozens of raids in Toulouse, Grenoble, Calais and two Paris suburbs.

Officers searched the Molenbeek area of Brussels (pictured), which is home to a large Turkish and Moroccan community, after a parking ticket found on a grey VW Polo parked outside the Bataclan theatre in Paris was found to have been issued from the Brussels district

They have arrested dozens of suspects and have seized a cache of weapons including a rocket launcher.

The down-at-heel suburb of Molenbeek in Brussels has been dubbed ‘a den of terrorists’ by Belgian media because it has repeatedly featured in attacks

The Islamist who killed people at a Paris kosher grocery in January at the time of the attack on the magazine Charlie Hebdo acquired weapons in the district.

Ayoub El Khazzani, the man behind August’s foiled attack on an Amsterdam-Paris train, had been staying in Molenbeek with his sister before initiating his strike.

Moroccan-born gunman Khazzani, 26, lived with his sister in Molonbeek, Brussels, weeks before his attempted attack on the Thalys train.

He stayed with his sister, who lives on the same road where two of the arrests were made in relation to the Paris attacks.

Several people spotted El Khazzani in the area where his sister lives in Sint-Jans-Molenbeek.

The sister was questioned by anti-terror detectives in Brussels. Now part of their investigation is around whether El Khazzani and the suspects planned the separate attacks.

Married Mother Seduces Her Son With N50,000 In A Hotel

While we hear about incest between fathers and daughters on a daily basis, it seems this abominable act is also committed between mothers and sons, though in this case the mother drugged the son.

An Asaba Grade ‘A’ Customary Court in Delta State last Friday dissolved an 18-year-old marriage over a sexual intercourse by a mother with her son.

According to the Punch, the 45-year-old Mrs. Nkulumenna Owefa admitted before the court that she seduced her son in a hotel in Abagana, Anambra State, after she offered him the sum of N50,000.

It was gathered during the proceedings of the court that the woman who sells trades at the popular
Ogbeonogonogo market, Asaba deceptively asked his son (name withheld) to accompany her to Abagana near Onitsha, Anambra State where she booked into an hotel against her initial plan of meeting with one of her business partners at her residence in Asaba.

The son, who testified in court on what transpired between him and the mother before Senior Magistrate, Sylvester Oboh, said he was called upon by his mother to accompany her somewhere where she had bought some materials for sale.

He said, “On our way to Abagana, somewhere around Toll Gate in Asaba, we were held in hold-up; I was with mum in her car and the glasses were wound up as the AC was on. So our conversation was not being heard by hawkers going about with their wares or other motorists.

“My mum told me that she was going to take over me as my father has taken over my sister and I thanked her, not knowing what she was up to. In Abagana, after a lengthy discussion with her friend, we retired into the hotel room, where my mum gave me a bottle of coke already opened and I felt weak when she now undressed me before putting my d**k into her private part.”

The husband, Mr. Owefa, who was in court with her daughter, Adlyn to seek the dissolution of their marriage told the court, “All I need is the dissolution of this marriage.

“My wife has committed the worst abomination and the only forgiveness I have for her is the dissolution of the marriage. My son remains my son because I know he was not seduced with ordinary hand.”

The Senior Magistrate (Oboh), having listened to both parties, granted the dissolution of the marriage, saying the man would take of the two children.

More than a year after her mother, Hope Ruller died, Mary Kersting kept the decomposing body of the 93-year-old woman in her flat in Gloversville, Upstate New York and stole more than $13,000 (£8,600) in social security checks belonging to Hope Ruller.
Kersting, who lied to her niece about her mother still being alive, claimed she couldn’t afford to have her mother buried.
“She also explained that one day led to the next and although she thought about calling authorities. She just didn’t do it.” Fulton County Public Defender Gerald McAuliffe said.
Although Hope has been buried next to her husband, Kerting’s niece, who didn’t want to be identified, said her grandmother ‘left this earth with no dignity’.
Apart from the six months sentence, Kersting was also ordered to carry out 500 hours of community service.

“The Policeman Who Murdered My Mum Must Be Killed Immediately” – Angel Macleod

The 14-year-old, tennis player, Angel Mcleod, has demanded that the trigger-happy policeman who shot her mother, Beauty Mcleod, dead should be ‘killed immediately’, saying he has taken away her joy.

Angel said she had been struggling to come out of the shock since the news of her mother’s death was broken to her.

Beauty, also a tennis player, was allegedly shot on Sunday, October 25, by one Corporal Joseph Aminu, who was attached to the Emperor’s Guest House on Balarabe Musa Crescent, Victoria Island, Lagos.

Beauty, who was from Anambra State, and Angel had lodged in the hotel in the afternoon of the
fateful day on their arrival from Accra, Ghana, where the daughter had gone for a tournament.

It was learnt that the 37-year-old woman was going outside the hotel around 10pm to meet a friend, Betsy Garrett, who was waiting at the car park, when the security guard challenged her, claiming that she had been going out repeatedly.

PUNCH Metro learnt that the guard called Aminu to intervene in the matter and it degenerated into an altercation between the policeman and the woman.

“I was told the security guard complained that my mum kept coming in and out and he got angry and then he called the policeman. The policeman slapped my mum and she had to retaliate with a stone. He eventually shot her in the leg and she started losing a lot of blood.

“I am just trying not to remember it (mother’s death). Any time I remember it, my spirit goes down. He (Aminu) does not deserve to be alive. He should be killed immediately. He has taken away my joy and everything I have in my life,” Angel said.

Her corpse was said to have been deposited at the Marina General Hospital, Lagos Island for autopsy.

Garrett, who also called for Aminu’s execution, said her friend might not have died if she was rescued on time. She lamented that after Aminu had shot Beauty in the leg, he left her to bleed and writhe in pain for about an hour before he permited rescuers to take her to St Nicholas Hospital, where she died.

Speaking with our correspondent on Saturday, Garrett, recounted the incident and how the corporal frustrated efforts to save her friend’s life.

She said, “She called me that night that she was shopping at 1004. I went to pick her there, dropped her at the hotel and waited for her at the car park. On coming out of her hotel room, the policeman ran after her. He complained that she was coming in and out and that she was disturbing them (he and others) from sleeping.

“He ran after her to where I was and attacked her. I separated them and asked what the problem was but neither of them told me. He corked the gun and I pleaded with him to drop it. Immediately he did, he gave her a heavy blow in the face. She ran towards the other direction, picked a stone and threw it at him. He pulled the gun and shot her in the leg.

“After she fell, he pointed the gun at me. I screamed and begged him to leave me. I ran, calling people to come and see how they could disarm him so that I could take my friend to the hospital. About four persons came. He pointed the gun at them and everybody ran away. It was after about 60 minutes that he allowed me to take her inside the car and he sat with me while I took her to the hospital.

“On our way, he stopped me and got down. It was shortly after I took her to the hospital that she died. The police must compensate her family and ensure that the policeman is killed too; he does not deserve to live.”

The deceased’s brother, Mr. Callistus Nwankwo, said he was not pleased with the way the matter was being handled by the police.

He said, “The police are not handling the case properly. When we went to the Maroko Police Station, where we learnt that the policeman was attached to, the DPO told us that the policeman was from the command headquarters in Ikeja. He said the man was not supposed to have been given a gun.”

Nwankwo added that he was looking up to the government and well-meaning Nigerians to assist in the upbringing of the deceased’s daughter.

Mother Of Sylva’s Running Mate Kidnapped

The mother of the deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the Bayelsa election, 100-year-old Madam Ebifieghe Dikoro was yesterday kidnapped from her country home in Furupa, Southern Ijaw Local Government Area of the state.

Her son, Mr. Wilberforce Agiri, is the running mate to the APC governorship candidate and former governor of the state, Chief Timipre Sylva.

Although no ransom had been demanded as at press time for the abducted elderly woman, the spate of kidnappings especially of top political leaders and their relatives has been on the rise in recent times.

The gunmen, who abducted the centenarian, reportedly invaded her home at 1 am yesterday in three speedboats. As has been the case with other kidnappings in the past, they shot sporadically into the air to ward of any counter-attack from community vigilantes and whisked the old woman away. They escaped into the mangrove rain forest without a trace as at press time.

Spokesman of the state Police Command Astimin Butwat confirmed the incident, even as he said that the details of the kidnapping were still sketchy.

Mother Of Convicted Army General Pleads For Mercy

Abimbola Davies, mother to Enitan Ransome-Kuti, who was convicted of alleged offences during the war against Boko Haram, a sentence that earned him a six month prison term and a dismissal from the army; is pleading to the Nigerian Army for mercy.

Mrs. Davies, 72, said her family would hardly smile again, not after Mr. Ransome-Kuti had been convicted and jailed for his role in the fight against Boko Haram – the first senior army officer to be so treated.

?”I wonder why they singled him out, and treat him in this manner,” the old woman, who retired from the Army Signals, said during an interview last Friday?.

“He has been wearing army uniform when he was 11 years old. You can imagine somebody that has been serving the nation for 40 years, that they now come to give this kind of judgment. I don’t know why.?”

When the news of the military’s verdict was broken to her at home, Mrs. Davies said she wept.

“It is his brother and his wife that were begging me, because I don’t know how my BP (blood pressure) just spring up immediately I heard the news,” she said.

“I was shaking, that how come? How can Boko Haram issue come and spoil somebody’s career? Somebody that has been serving the nation for 40 years.

“Right from NMS (Nigerian Military School), he was Drum Major there. And he’s one of the best students there. Many people liked him, teachers, everybody.

“He does the work as if the work belongs to him. That is why I wonder why they would come and judge him this way. I felt bad, I cried, I wept bitterly.?”Mrs. Davies insisted her son would never abscond from his duty post, adding that Mr. Ransome-Kuti had been fighting the insurgents since 2009.

?”He doesn’t come home often, because they post him from one end to another, far in the north there?. They don’t bring him to Lagos, it’s that north that they have been taking him to,” Mrs. Davies said.

“And when this thing started, when he was the commander of one unit at Nguru, he was the one that led his men that they drove these people away. They faced them and drove them away from Potiskum.

“He was the one that fought that fight and those people went away. Before they came back in full force. And they even called him to army headquarters to commend him for doing that work.”

She appealed to Yoruba leaders to intervene in the issue and help save her son.

?”I’m just appealing to the military authority and Nigerians to help us beg them to send him back to his work,” she said.

“To give him back his rank and let him go back to work, because he doesn’t deserve this kind of judgment.”

Mother Wakes Up From Coma After She Hears The Cry Of Her New Born Baby

A mother identified as Shelly Cawley who slipped into coma after the birth of her child had miraculously woken up after the she heard her baby’s cries.

The family of the woman thought they were going to say their last goodbye to the woman as they were escorted through the hallways of North Carlina Hospital.

Her blood pressure was dangerously low (60/40, doctors later told the family) and her heart rate was soaring (more than 180 beats per minute). Cawley was hooked up to what doctors called “the last-chance ventilator,” a machine pumping air into her lungs with such force that it rattled her hospital bed with each artificial breath, her husband, Jeremy Cawley, said.

But the hospital staff had one more idea to try.

“The nurses instructed us to strip the baby down and put her skin-to-skin with Shelly,” her husband told The Washington Post. “Their hope was that if Shelly could smell the baby, feel the baby, hear the baby — even in the coma — it would give her a reason to fight.

“They needed her to start to fight.”

And they thought Rylan Grace Cawley — just hours old — might be the only one who could help.
They put the newborn on her mother’s chest, Jeremy Cawley recalled, and the child went right to sleep.
“We pinched Rylan and tickled her a little bit so that Shelly would hear her cry,” he said with a chuckle.

When the baby did, her mother’s vitals jumped, doctors told Jeremy Cawley. He said he was told it may have given her the strength she needed to push through. A week later, Shelly Cawley woke up and met her baby daughter.

“It was a weird feeling — like I was between a dream and reality,” she told The Post. “But I do remember as clear as day looking at her face, how beautiful she was. I don’t think I knew at the time I had been asleep for a week. But it was my first time meeting my daughter. I was so overwhelmed.”

Boy Fatally Shoots Thief Who Broke Into Their Home And Discovers That The Thief Was His Father

A teen fatally shot a masked intruder who broke into his home only to later discover the victim was his father, officials said.

Malachi Heisler spotted someone pointing a weapon at his mother when he opened his bedroom door early Tuesday morning, according to Florida’s Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office. The 18-year-old opened fire after the man turned the weapon toward him, police said.

“It was a standoff between me and him,” Heisler told NBC affiliate WFLA. “He had his pistol and I had my rifle. A bullet is a bullet, one shot, you’re dead.”

Police spokeswoman Cecilia Barreda confirmed to NBC News that the assailant was found with two
BB guns.

The man died on the scene and was later identified as 46-year-old John Heisler, the sheriff’s office said in a statement. Authorities say John Heisler had tried to break into the St. Petersburg home his son shared with his sister, mother, and the mother’s boyfriend just about midnight.

After hearing a loud crash, Malachi Heisler’s mother Jolene Andrews, 37, who is also the suspect’s ex-girlfriend, went outside to investigate with her current boyfriend, Alton Pyles. They found the suspect wearing a ski mask with black tactical gear and retreated back into the house when he pulled out the weapon.

Authorities say John Heisler followed the couple into the house, grabbed Andrews and forced her to the ground. Pyles, 47, called out to her son for help.

“I woke up to my name being called,” Malachi Heisler told WFLA. “I heard the words ‘Malachi’ and ‘help,’ that’s all I heard when I woke up.”

Fearing for his life the teen ended up shooting his father in the upper body, officials said. Heisler’s 13-year-old sister was also in the home during the incident.

Earlier this year, the children’s mother took out a restraining order against John Heisler after he was arrested in April and charged as a felon in possession of firearms, Malachi Heisler told WFLA.

“He wasn’t a good dad, no (expletive) father of the year awards,” he added.

Police spokeswoman Barreda said that the incident was still under investigation but that no arrests were made and that “justifiable homicide” was been speculated as the situation on hand.

Boy ‘Born With 3 Penises’ Undergoes Pioneering Surgery To Leave Him With Just One

A little boy born with three penises in an incredibly rare occurrence has undergone pioneering surgery to correct the abnormality. According to reports, the two-year-old pictured above with his mum suffers from diphallia, a rare condition where a male is born with two penises.

He also had a third penis considered rudimentary, or undeveloped. In addition, the unnamed boy was born without an anus.

However, last month, he went under the knife to correct the physical abnormalities, and his family are now hopeful that he will be able to “lead a normal life”.

The boy, from Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh, India, was able to pass urine through one of the penises. Only two had erectile tissue, which is responsible for sexual function. He was taken by his mother to Sion Hospital in Mumbai for the six-hour operation. Dr Vishesh Dixit, paediatric surgeon, said: “There was a huge soft boney mass and tissue to which the penises were attached. However, the anus was absent.”

Telling how the mass and rudimentary penis were removed, he added: “The two functional penises were fused into one by wrapping a mass of skin around them.”

He explained that the boy had already undergone a colostomy, where surgeons made an incision in his stomach, enabling him to get rid of waste.

Describing the latest operation, he said: “Further, an anal path was created through the boy’s rectum to facilitate the passage of excreta.”

Providing the surgery to create the anal path proves successful, the incision in the boy’s stomach will be closed in a separate procedure later this month.

Doctors said his sexual function will be and his fertility will not be affected. There have been just 100 cases of diphallia reported since 1609.

A seven-year-old boy, identified simply as Promise, has been stabbed by her mother with broken bottles for allegedly defiling his two-year-old step-sister and the daughter of a neighbour.

The incident happened on Monday on Tunde Olusola Street, in the Ijaiye-Ojokoro area of Lagos.

The mother, Mrs. Blessing Fred, was said to have gone out with her daughter on Sunday, leaving Promise behind.
While the mother was away, Promise went to visit five-year-old Yemi (pseudonym) ? the neighbour’s daughter ? at her parents’ apartment. He was said to have met Yemi alone and took her to his mother’s room.

On getting to the room, he reportedly told her to remove her clothes and lie down. He laid on top of the girl and fiddled with her private parts.

Yemi’s mother had left her with her sister, who was said to have left home when the incident happened.

Punch Metro reports that Yemi narrated what transpired between her and Promise to her mother when she came back.

A neighbour who spoke to Punch said that Yemi’s mother invited Promise to her apartment and verified the story in the presence of her daughter.

She said, “Initially, he denied. But when the woman assured him that she would not tell his mother, he opened up and said it was true. He said he had been doing it with his step-sister too. The woman later reported Promise to his mother and he confessed to her as well.”

“She first beat him with a stick on Monday for the offence. But all of a sudden, she smashed a bottle and stabbed him in the back.”

A resident, Bose Komolafe, said Fred had been arrested by the police from the Ijaiye-Ojokoro Police Division, while Promise had been admitted to a hospital in the area.

She said, “Some neighbours rushed to rescue the child from her. He is on admission at a hospital.

Miracle Baby & Mother Survive 4 Days In Jungle After Deadly Plane Crash

CNN reports a baby survived for four days with his mother after their plane crashed in a jungle in Colombia.

The plane was bound for Quibdó from Chocó, for what should have been a short 30-minute flight. It crashed shortly after takeoff around 1 p.m. on Saturday. When the plane crashed, it caught on fire. 19-year-old María Nelly Murillo Moreno (pictured above being taken to the hospital) acted quickly to save her infant son. She was reportedly burned in the fire while she worked to rescue her baby from the plane’s wreckage.

The plane’s pilot, Carlos Mario Ceballos, died when the plane crashed (his body was found on Sunday). Rescue workers began looking for the mother immediately and were aided by small clues she left to help them find her. She dropped the baby’s birth certificate, a cell phone, and even the pilot’s wallet as part of a trail.

Murillo survived on coconut milk while breastfeeding the baby. Rescuers searching for them in helicopters found them on Wednesday. They were both taken to a hospital in Quibdó where doctors found little injuries to the baby except for a sore bottom because he had run out of diapers. Officials credit their survival to the fact that while the cockpit sustained severe damage, the cabin was left relatively unscathed.

The world’s oldest mother is dying just 18 months after giving birth at the age of 70. Rajo Devi Lohan says she is too weak to recover from complications after her IVF pregnancy. News about her condition came as it emerged that a 66-year-old has become the oldest woman in the world to have triplets.

Rajo Devi Lohan is too weak to care for her 18-month-old daughter Naveen. Some experts fear Bhateri Devi could suffer the same fate as Mrs Lohan.

Both women received IVF treatment at the same controversial clinic in India after being unable to bear children throughout their married lives, which is regarded as a stigma in their culture.

Mrs Lohan, who gave birth to her daughter Naveen in November 2008, is now confined to bed and so frail she cannot lift the little girl. But she has no regrets, saying: ‘I dreamed about having a child all my life. It does not matter to me that I am ill, because at least I lived long enough to become a mother. ‘The doctor never warned me it was dangerous to have a baby at my age. But I was healthy before, and now I am very sick.’

Ferguson: Brown’s Mother says Officer’s Story “Sounds Crazy”

The grief-stricken mother of Michael Brown says police officer Darren Wilson’s first interview following a grand jury’s decision not to indict him in her teenage son’s shooting death “added insult to injury.”

Lesley McSpadden, Brown’s mother, called the Wilson’s interview “disrespectful” on NBC’s “Today” show Wednesday, a day after the officer’s interview with ABC News aired. “I don’t believe a word of it,” McSpadden said on “CBS This Morning.” Wilson’s account of the events that led to Brown’s killing on Aug. 9 “sounds crazy,” Michael Brown Sr. said on “Today.”

According to Wilson, the teen pinned the officer in his car during a struggle in which the 18-year-old punched him repeatedly in the face. “I didn’t know if I’d be able to withstand another hit like that,” Wilson said on ABC, reiterating testimony he gave to the grand jury.

The officer said he grabbed his gun and fired a shot at Brown, who initially ran but then turned around and charged at him as the unarmed teenager reached into his waistband. “He starts charging me,” Wilson said. “My initial thought was, is there a weapon in there.” Brown then continued to charge at Wilson, the officer said. “I fired a series of shots and paused,” Wilson said. “I noticed at least one of them hit him. I don’t know where. I saw his body kind of flinch a little.” But Brown kept coming.

“For one, my son, he respected law enforcement,” Brown Sr. said. “Two, who in their right mind would rush or charge at a police officer that has his gun drawn? It sounds crazy.”

“I know my son far too well to know he wouldn’t ever do anything like that,” McSpadden said on CBS. “He wouldn’t do anything to provoke anyone to do anything to him, and he wouldn’t do anything to anybody.” She said she believes Wilson was intent on violence. “He didn’t do what he had to do, he did what he wanted to do,” McSpadden said.”I don’t think he wanted to kill my son, but he wanted to kill someone.”

Shortly after the verdict was announced, McSpadden, standing on the hood of a car surrounded by protesters in Ferguson, was overcome with grief. Michael Brown’s stepfather, Louis Head, was criticized for inciting violence after he climbed on the car to console McSpadden, turned to the crowd and repeatedly shouted, “Burn this bitch down!”

On ABC, Wilson was asked if there was anything he’d like to say to the Brown family. “I think those are grieving parents who are mourning the loss of their son,” he said. “I don’t think there’s anything I could say, but, again, I’m sorry that their son lost his life. It wasn’t the intention of that day. It’s what occurred that day, and there’s nothing you can say that’s going to make a parent feel better.”

The Gift Called ‘My Mother’ – Yomi Balogun

Too many get along with life forgetting one huge force that helped them get into it in the first place – the mother. Yes, we were created by God but someone kept us safe in their own body, carrying us along for some 9 months, that is a lot of sacrifice to start with. Imagine the weight especially for those of us that came already bearing so much weight. Our mothers deserve our love, not because of the fact that it is often the cool thing to do but mostly because they earned it right from our conception. I appreciate the fathers and all but come on, in most cases, our mothers are the ones stepping out for us when push comes to shove. Spare a thought for your mum’s sacrifices over the years. I personally remember how my mum will go, “Yomi, whatever you do, never forget your source.” And just when I thought she meant herself, she said, “God is your source. I was only a vessel”.  I love my mum. I love my dad too. So, when last did you speak to your mum? Now is not a bad time to make that call. You can even call both of them. For those who have lost theirs, I pray their souls continue to rest in peace. God keep all that they left behind. It’s gonna be a better day. Cheers to our mothers.
