Peter Vaughan, best known for his roles in Porridge and Game Of Thrones, has died today aged 93, his agent said.

The actor, who had a career in theatre, television and film spanning more than 75 years, died this morning, surrounded by his family.

During his career, Vaughan worked alongside Sir Anthony Hopkins, Frank Sinatra and Ronnie Barker.

He will be best remembered for his portrayal of ‘genial’ Harry Grout in the classic sitcom Porridge, despite only appearing in three episodes.

He went on to gain himself a whole new generation of fans with his role as Aemon Targaryen in the fantasy drama series Game of Thrones.

His many other roles included parts in TV shows Citizen Smith and Chancer.

His agent Sally Long-Innes said: ‘This is to confirm that very sadly Peter Vaughan passed away at approximately 10.30 this morning. He died peacefully with his family around him.’

Despite being in only three episodes of Porridge alongside Ronnie Barker and Richard Beckinsale, Vaughan made his mark as villain Harry ‘Grouty’ Grout.

He was appearing in a play when he was asked to take on the role.

‘I still get people saying “Let you out, have they, Grouty?”‘ the actor said more than 40 years later.

‘I was in just three episodes and, of course, the feature film, so I have to thank the writers Dick Clement and Ian La Frenais for the fact I’m one of the characters people always remember when they talk about Porridge because Grouty is so prominent – even though I’m not there.

For Lady Gaga, kindness has been the key to finding peace in her own life.

The 30-year-old singer paid a visit recently to the Ali Forney Center, a homeless shelter for LGBT youth in New York City’s Harlem neighborhood, for the #ShareKindness campaign.

“I’ve been searching for ways to help myself. And I found that kindness is the best way,” she said recently while on a visit to Harlem’s Ali Forney Center, a shelter for homeless LGBT youth, to surprise the teens living there.

Lady Gaga is bravely opening up about her battle with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and how she suffers from a mental illness.

“I love to give things to people that have nothing or less than me. These children are not just homeless or in need. Many of them are trauma survivors; they’ve been rejected in some kind of way,” Gaga said during the visit, which was shown on The Today Show on Monday (December 5). “My own trauma in my life has helped me to understand the trauma of others.”

“I don’t have the same kind of issues that you have, but I have a mental illness and I struggle with that every day so I need my mantra to help keep me relaxed,” Gaga said while leading a meditation exercise. “I told the kids today that I suffer from a mental illness. I suffer from PTSD. I’ve never told anyone that before, so here we are. But the kindness that’s been shown to me by doctors—as well as my family and my friends—it’s really saved my life.”

J. Cole’s new track “False Prophets,” where he appears to address his issues with Kanye West and Wale, has had the Internet buzzing for the last couple of days. With no name-drops on the track, people have been left to speculate who Cole is talking about until Jermaine explains himself. Wale isn’t waiting for Cole to expound, and has responded to the Dreamville rapper with his own track titled “Groundhog Day.”

The lines in question on Cole’s track has him questioning a certain rapper’s drive, which most have assumed was Ralph. “And I know he so bitter he can’t see his own blessings/Goddamn, nigga, you too blind to see you got fans, nigga/And a platform to make a classic rap song/To change a nigga life, but you too anxious living’ life,” raps J. Wale’s response is produced by Jake One. The D.C. MC makes it clear that he is rebutting the North Carolina rapper. “I’m heavily flawed, but far from a false prophet Ima honorable Folarin, Cassius, Muhammad…why you talking?, he rhymes in the intro.

He even addresses Cole directly but not in a dissing way. “I remember me and Cole would open for Hov/Everyday a star is born I guess I died in the womb/I aint make it on Blueprint/So made me a blueprint/You got you a nice watch my minute was finished.”

He continues, “I just heard a song about me in the hip-hop blogs/From a kid I know, some people say he hip-hop God/It hit home cause it’s some truth/This I know it’s a cycle/Like it’s psycho when shit get dark.”

Kanye West is reportedly back at home more than a week after he was admitted to hospital with exhaustion.

According to multiple reports in the US, the rapper left UCLA Medical Centre in Los Angeles with wife Kim Kardashian and his doctor, Michael Farzam.

The 39-year-old was admitted to hospital last Monday suffering from “temporary psychosis due to sleep deprivation and dehydration”, said TMZ.

People magazine quoted a source saying he was “home, getting some rest.”

Meanwhile, both CNN and the Los Angeles Times reported that Kanye West had left the UCLA Medical Centre.

Sources claim Kanye West may stay at UCLA Medical Center until at least week’s end.

A well-connected Kanye source tells us Kanye’s psychological problems are significant enough so that his insurance policy which covers lost profits and financial obligations for cancelled concerts due to illness will almost certainly cover the losses for the 21 concerts he’s cancelled.

Prince’s estate has sued the Tidal streaming service of rap mogul Jay Z, demanding it take down most of the catalog of the late pop icon.

Prince, who had a famously fraught relationship with the music industry, last year announced a deal through which Tidal would exclusively release the prolific star’s album “HITnRUN Phase One.”

In a lawsuit, Prince’s estate said that Tidal only had exclusive rights to the album for 90 days and that the deal did not cover the rest of Prince’s catalog.

Tidal and Jay Z’s Roc Nation company “did not communicate” with the estate “to expand the offering of Prince works on the Tidal service,” said the lawsuit filed Tuesday in a federal court in Prince’s native Minnesota.

The estate asked for a jury trial to force Tidal to remove Prince’s catalog and pay damages.

The streaming service did not immediately reply to the lawsuit and Prince’s vast catalog was available on Tidal as of Wednesday.

Tidal, which has struggled to take a greater market share from streaming leader Spotify and new competitor Apple Music, has heavily promoted exclusives including the Prince catalog.

Prince, who died from an accidental overdose of painkillers, did not leave a will. Bremer Trust, which is in charge of his estate, has since been looking for ways to ensure steady revenue and has been negotiating future releases with labels.

Prince in the early 1990s changed his name to the unpronounceable “love symbol” and wrote “slave” on his cheek to protest his terms with Warner Brothers Records, which had tried to put controls on his constant output.
