Banned Kannywood actress, Rahama Sadau’s visit to Hollywood seems to be glowing with her recent visit to Hollywood Relativity Workshop Studio in Los Angeles.

She posted a video on her instagram page of herself talking with the students at the campus studio earlier today.

The Hollywood studio posted a picture of Rahama on their instagram page with this caption:

“Today, Rahama Sadau visited out campus today. She is often referred to as “Queen of Kannywood”, the Hausa language cinema of Nigeria. She won Best African Actress at the 19th African Film Awards in 2015.A few months ago Rahama shot a music video in Kannywood – Northern Nigeria’s entertainment industry. In this video she hugged a man who was not her husband for 3 secs. Uproar ensued and subsequently Rahama is no longer permitted to perform in Kannywood. After this event singer/rapper Akon invited her over to Los Angeles – she’s been on-set with him for the last week. It was an honor to have her here!”

It could be recalled that the Kannywood Queen was invited by music icon, Akon, weeks after her expulsion from Kannywood.

Kannywood Actress Banned For Hugging, Cuddling In Music Video

A famous Nigerian actress, Rahama Sadau, has been expelled by the Hausa indigenous film industry known as Kannywood, after she featured in a music video which they say was “immoral”.

The Kannywood star appeared in the video with popular singer, Classiq, in a song titled I Love You.

In the film you can see her being hugged by Classiq.

The statement from the Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (Moppan) says that Ms Sadau was “hugging and cuddling the music artist” in clear violation of code of the conduct “known to all practitioners”.

It goes on to say that the body would not tolerate behaviour that goes against the conduct and ethics governing the industry.

The statement also says that they hope the expulsion would serve as a “deterrent for other actors and actresses” and urged them to be ambassadors of the society they represent.

Henrietta, wife of veteran actor, Jide Kosoko, who only last week celebrated her 53rd birthday, was said to have slumped at home and was rushed to the hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Henrietta, until death, was married to veteran actor and former president of the Association of Nigerian Theatre Arts Practitioners (ANTP), Kosoko.
A close family source who spoke under the condition of anonymity disclosed that she before her demise, she was battling diabetes for a while, causing her sugar level to fluctuate.

Nollywood Actress, Ibinabo Fiberesima Granted Bail

Embattled Nollywood actress and former President of Actors Guild of Nigeria, Ibinabo Fiberesima has been granted bail.

 

She was released on 2million naira bail from Kirikiri according to reports. The actress was released in the early hour of today under unconfirmed conditions.

 

Ibinabo is expected to present two sureties of like sum residing within the jurisdiction of the court, and they must both be a property owner in Lagos state.

 

She was represented by a team of new counsel led by Adeyemi Muiz Banire (SAN), former commissioner in Lagos state for twelve consecutive years
The actress was recently slammed a 5-year jail term by the Court of Appeal in Lagos after losing an appeal over the death of one Dr Giwa Suraj who she allegedly killed in an auto accident along Lekki-Epe Expressway, Lagos, 10 years ago.

 

Justice Jamilu Yammama Tukur of the Appeal court said he was granting the actress bail pending the determination of a suit filed by her at the Supreme court.

Caitlyn Jenner has been going form strength-to-strength since making her debut on the cover of Vanity Fair in June, and now reports are claiming she may have found herself a partner in the form of Candis Cayne.

The 65-year-old allegedly instantly hit it off with the transgender actress in New York, where she attended a Gay Pride event, before the two spent a few more days together.

According to reports, the two went shopping, had a candlelit dinner, watched a show on Broadway and went to a spa together.

If only all our dates were like that.

A source allegedly told Star Magazine: “Caitlyn and Candis had amazing chemistry. After her monumental life change, Caitlyn’s ready to open up her heart again and really, how could you ask for a more perfect fit as a romantic partner than Candis?

“She’s been basically through the same struggles and confusion, so she’d be the perfect person for Caitlyn to lean on as she continues her journey of transition.

“Candis is smart, funny, talented and drop-dead sexy. I wouldn’t blame Caitlyn one bit if she fell for her.”

Nollywood Actress Kate Henshaw’s Lekki Home Gutted By Fire (Photos)

Nollywood top actress, Kate Henshaw’s Lekki Phase 1 residence went up in flames on Thursday, June 25, 2015.

According to a report by The Cable, the house caught fire at about 3PM on Thursday afternoon, which attracted a huge crowd to the residence as neighbours struggled to put out the fire.

Eyewitnesses report that the fire outbreak might have been caused by an electric surge.

The actress who escaped unhurt was however reported to have lost personal properties and valuable items to the fire.
