Questions A Guy Wants You To Ask On A First Date

1. Ask him, “If you could be doing anything humanly possible right now, what would it be?” It’s always good to have a few icebreaker questions on standby. Go for original, absurd and goofy, or thought-provoking. If he says, “I’d still rather be here with you!” dump his cheesy ass.

2. Ask him where he sees himself in five years. All too often, first dates are about the “now.” What do you do for a living? Where do you live? Instead, ask him where he wants to be. Most Millennials aren’t working their dream job or even working in the field they’ll end up in for most of their life, anyway.

3. Ask anything that lets him show off. Please, just … throw him a bone. Anytime he says something that sounds like a humblebrag, follow up on it. That’s what he wants. By no means let him dominate the conversation, but, when it’s his turn to talk, if he’s giving you very clear hints about things he’s proud of, do the man a favor and ask him about it.

4. Ask, “What’s your perfect date?” Secretly, he’s dying inside for you to ask this, so he can tell you. That way, you’ve got a great second date idea, and he doesn’t have to plan it.

5. Ask for major turn-offs and pet peeves. This is a question that’s potentially frightening to ask and could score you some offensive answers. But if you both share your ultimate deal breakers off the top, it could save you some time. Some of those don’t rear their heads until it’s way too late.

6. Ask him if he’s as nervous as you are. First dates are nerve-wracking for a lot of people. Unless you’re incredibly confident or a sociopath (is there a difference?), you’re probably a little freaked out. Plus, this is 2016 … there’s a good chance this is your first time even meeting your date in person. Acknowledging that can help put both of you at ease.

7. Ask if he wants to have sex. So you know what you are in for. Being honest about this will go a long way even before the relationship starts.

8. Ask him to tell his favorite joke. This is incredibly telling. Even if he doesn’t have a favorite joke, that says a lot. Maybe it’s corny or pun-based or it’s an anti-joke, but you’ll know if you’ve got similar senses of humor. And if you have to push him to tell it because he’s embarrassed, you know it’s going to be good.

9. Ask if he wants to split the check. No, chivalry isn’t dead, but who doesn’t really want to split the check deep down? What does paying for the whole meal really show? If you’ve asked him every awkward question on this list, he’s probably earned it.

Presidency Questions Accuracy Of Benue Massacre Reports

The presidency has said it is checking the accuracy of the reports claiming that 81 people were killed by herdsmen in Benue State.

The presidency, through its digital communications office, yesterday said some of the pictures in circulation were from the genocide in Congo, back in 2014.

The digital communications arm of the presidency, according to The Cable, said the police are currently investigating the reports and would release a statement shortly.

“Law enforcement agents are working to ascertain the accuracy of reports of fresh killings in Benue State. The @PoliceNG will issue a statement,” presidency said in a Tweet.

Reports had claimed that gunmen believed to be nomadic Fulani herdsmen had killed scores of villagers in the state in a long-running conflict over grazing rights.

A national television had put the number of dead at 81 in the past two weeks after attacks on farming villages in the Logo and Ukum areas of the state.

“The magnitude of killings is enormous. Scores of people were killed in the past two weeks by Fulani herdsmen in at least 10 local government areas of the state,” spokesman Tahav Agerzua told AFP.
The state government was collaborating with security agencies to contain the violence, which is the latest flare-up between local farmers and the herders in the state.

British Judge Questions Jonathan’s Integrity, Stops Etete From Getting N17 Billion

A British Judge on Tuesday refused to release $85 million (N17 billion) to Malabu, a fraudulent company controlled by Nigeria’s former petroleum minister, Dan Etete.

In refusing to release the money to Malabu, Justice Edis of the Southwark Crown Court declared that he was not sure the administration of President Goodluck Jonathan acted in Nigeria’s interest when it approved the transfer of the money to Malabu.

“I cannot simply assume that the FGN which was in power in 2011 and subsequently until 2015 rigorously defended the public interest of the people of Nigeria in all respects,” the judge ruled.

It was once reported how the Jonathan administration controversially approved the transfer of $1.092 billion from Nigeria’s JP Morgan account in London to Nigerian accounts controlled by Malabu.

Church Shooting ‘Raises Questions About a Dark Part of Our History’- Obama

President Barack Obama on Thursday addressed the horrific South Carolina church shooting in emotional remarks that invoked America’s turbulent racial history and the heated politics over gun control.

“I don’t need to be constrained about the emotions tragedies like this raise,” the president said. “I’ve had to make comments like this too many times. Communities like this have had to endure tragedies like this too many times.”

“Now is the time for mourning and healing, but let’s be clear: At some point as a country, we have to reckon with the fact that this type of mass violence does not happen in other advanced countries,” the president said. “It is in our power to do something about it… I say this knowing the politics in this town foreclose a lot of those opportunities.”

The president said he and first lady Michelle Obama have relationships with many of the church’s parishioners — including its slain pastor.

“The fact that this took place in a black church also raises questions about a dark part of our history,” the president said. He went on to invoke Rev. Martin Luther King Jr.’s eulogy for four little girls who died in a church firebombing in Birmingham, Alabama, in 1963, saying, “‘They lived meaningful lives and they died nobly.'”

Questions Buhari Must Answer- Fani-Kayode

The People’s Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organisation, PDPPCO, yesterday, alleged that leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) are planning to attack President Goodluck Jonathan’s private life through a video documentary.

He also enumerated a litany of questions the APC Presidential Candidate, Major-General Muhammadu Buhari (retd) has to answer, which said were enough to disqualify him from the presidential race.

Addressing Journalists in Abuja, Director, Media and Publicity of PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation, Chief Femi Fani- Kayode said the APC leaders with the financial support of two serving governors and a former state governor are planning to put in place a documentary about the private lives of President Goodluck Jonathan, First Lady, Dame Patience Jonathan and Minister of Petroleum Resources, Mrs. Diezani Alison- Madueke.

Fani- Kayode described the move to air the documentary as despicable, wicked, with the sole aim of scandalising, undermining and bringing into disrepute, President Jonathan, his wife and Diezani- Madueke, adding, “The documentary is riddled with falsehood and it is vulgar, smutty, cheap, shameful and salacious.’’

Jonathan Still Silent To Obasanjo’s Five Questions

It was gathered that President Jonathan appealed for the support of Obasanjo at the meeting in Abeokuta, choosing not to respond to some of the questions posed by the former president.

At the meeting however, the former president had asked president Jonathan the following questions,

“ (1) Did you agree to run for only one term or not?

(2) What did you tell me was your reason for not going after Boko Haram insurgents even when I told you this will boomerang?

(3) What happened to Nigeria’s external reserve and Sovereign Wealth Fund? (4) Did you give licence to Niger Delta militants (Dokubo and Tompolo) to import arms in the name of their privately owned companies? If so, for what reason?

(5) Did you not get correspondence from the United States consulate that a certain citizen named Buruji Kashamu is indicted for drug trafficking? Why did you appoint the same Kashamu as South West leader of PDP rather than hand him over to the US? And did the PDP give automatic Senate ticket to a wanted and convicted drug baron?”

However, it appears that the President’s inability to respond to these question is yet to elapse as he has not or is yet to respond to them.
