Solange Marrying Music & Art Is Pure Magic, See What She Did At Jimmy Fallon Show

The “Cranes In The Sky” diva keeps raising the bar of creativity in every live performance. Solange Knowles of Saint Records once again brought magic to the Jimmy Fallon show with an unusual connection (literally) with her back up singers.
Draped in pink on a pink background, Solange stayed tied up with her back up singers in a dress or three dresses rather, which were attached to each other. The sight was pure art, music and magic.

Map Ranks Pakistan Best At Gay Porn, See What Nigeria Is Ranked For

New map has “revealed” what every country is best at, throwing up some shocking pair up that will leave some countries “red in the face”. For instance, the map ranks Pakistan as best at gay porn and Honduras for murder, while Libya is in for fat child.

Nigeria, often ranked for undesirable things, however, claims a positive spot, ranking for… wait for it… Scrabble players.

The United Kingdom is for the billionaires, Togo for unhappiness, and Sudan beats Nigeria to rank for oil dependency.

According to the map, Zimbabwe is best at languages (sorry, Robert Mugabe), South Africa shows up with death and Swaziland for HIV.

The map is designed and published by Information Is Beautiful, a visual website “dedicated to distilling the world’s data, information and knowledge into beautiful, interesting and, above all, useful visualisations, infographics and diagrams”.

The map, entitled “International number ones… because every country is best at something”, relies on data from the CIA, the World Bank, UN, Bloomberg and Forbes, among others.

2019: New Mega Party Targets 16 Governors, See List

With an eye firmly fixed on the 2018 governorship polls in Ekiti and Osun States and 2019 general election, the movers of the proposed new mega party are already targeting at least 16 states of the federation whose governors they are confident will decamp to the new party, to bolster their chances of unseating the present government of President Muhammadu Buhari.

The new opposition party is believed to have the tacit support of the Senator Ahmed Makarfi-led faction of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that currently controls 11 states in the country, a National Leader of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), Chief Bola Ahmed Tinbubu, and former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, a major chieftain of the APC.

Both APC leaders have, however, denied their involvement in the proposed party, saying they remained committed to the APC.

Some of the states being considered for the taking are spread across five crucial geo-political zones of the country, with the calculation that once the new party is able to hold down these states, the others could be turned into battleground states, where it would compete for votes with the APC to shore up its chances in the 2019 elections.

The states already considered to be the strongholds of the proposed mega party are Abia, Ebonyi and Enugu in the South-east; Rivers, Akwa Ibom, Delta, Cross River and Bayelsa in the South-south; Osun, Oyo, Ekiti and Lagos in the South-west; Gombe, Taraba, Adamawa in the North East; and for now Benue State in the North-central zone.

Since the governors of the 16 states are seen to be sympathetic to the cause of the mega party, either directly or indirectly, their membership would most likely be taken for granted, while the party is saddled with the task of concentrating on areas where it is considered to be relatively weak.

The movers behind the new party are of the view that if they must make any meaningful impact in the elections in 2018 and 2019, respectively, then certain states are germane to the victory.

However, whilst the backers of the party are working on a winning strategy, the Makarfi-led PDP, sources confirmed yesterday, has expressed disappointment in the way Atiku and Tinubu denied their involvement in the formation of the new party.

The PDP leadership, while trying to empathise with the concerns Atiku and Tinubu might have over the news of their involvement in the proposed party coming out too early in the day, however, some members of the PDP felt that they should have known what they were up against from the outset.

According to a PDP chieftain, “We would have expected Atiku and Tinubu to have been more strategic in their reactions to the news.

“They just proved that they could develop cold feet at the slightest whiff and are not really prepared to take on the challenges that lie ahead. Their denials could be a setback for the mega party, as there is no way the formation can progress with this kind of attitude.

“We know it is going to be tough, but we must be ready to live with the consequences.”
From the perspective of the PDP, the source said the party was on the verge of putting its house in order and was preparing to start a new chapter, adding that once the challenges related to the leadership tussle are cleared, it would be in a better position to fully concentrate on the talks for a new mega party, which he described as the only joker for the 2019 elections.

He said the argument by some concerned observers about the Makarfi-led PDP not really needing an alliance or merger the minute it settles its leadership crisis may be logical, but noted that the battle to unseat an incumbent president in Nigeria was not an easy one to be prosecuted by one party alone however strong, hence the need for co-operation from people of like-minds to pool resources.

He noted that with the PDP going into talks with anyone as a united family, this would give it better grounds for negotiations and that the concerns about anyone selling out or undoing the party would be unfounded once the other faction has been completely neutralised.

“At least, we know that the Ali Modu Sheriff faction is working for and with the APC. So, the fears about the kind of damage they could do would have been adequately checkmated with their exit.
“The collaboration is therefore important and key to the success of our collective plan to take over the government and lead the nation to a better place,” he said.

He described the issue of the presidential candidacy as too early in the day since the consolidation of the proposed party was yet to take place.

“It is true that the APC wing of the proposed party might have been pondering their options on the choice of candidate for the presidency, but the PDP too has its own take on all of this and there are many options from which the ideal candidate can be chosen.

“But first, we need to tidy up the amalgamation and other things will follow,” he said.
The source did not however dismiss the influence of former President Olusegun Obasanjo on the choice of a presidential candidate for the mega party, but expressed concern about Obasanjo’s opposition to Atiku and former President Goodluck Jonathan, both of whom he said the former president had vowed never to have anything to do with.

“His take on Atiku is particularly worrisome because he once said even if he dies today and Atiku was coasting home to the presidency, he would beg God to let him come back to life, finish him off and then return to God.

“You may want to laugh this off, but it is deep and speaks so much about his disdain for these two persons, Atiku especially,” he said.

Separated Twins See Each Other For The First Time After Hardest Surgery & Quickest Recovery

The white dressing covering Jadon’s head is gently unwrapped, revealing a perfectly shaped head and a hairline with a natural curl.

It’s the first time his parents have seen him without his bandages in four weeks. That’s when he and his twin brother, Anias, born conjoined at the head, were separated in a 27-hour surgery at the Children’s Hospital at Montifiore Medical Center in the Bronx.
Mother Nicole McDonald stands at his bedside in awe. Although new bandages will be put on, the sight is breathtaking. “It’s the most amazing thing. I just can’t even believe it,” she says. “And look at his little hair. On top, it’s growing in!”
His father, Christian McDonald, leans in. “Hey there, my man,” he says, “You sure are handsome. Look at you. You look like a perfect little boy.”
Jadon stares up at them, waving his right hand. He then taps the top of his head.
“How does it feel to be your own little boy?” Dad asks. Mom mimics her son, touching her own head and, imagining what he’s thinking, asks, “Where’s my brother?”
Anias rests in his bed across the room, near a window. His head remains wrapped. “You’ve been having a tougher go of it, but you’re going to get through it,” Dad tells him.
The boys, now 14 months old, are set to move to rehab shortly after Thanksgiving, about six weeks after the surgery to separate them. The world’s previous record for recovery from such an operation, known as craniopagus surgery, was eight weeks. Many separated twins remain hospitalized for months.
Lead surgeon Dr. James Goodrich is checking on the twins in their 10th floor room on a rainy, unseasonably warm November afternoon. He’s considered the leading expert in the world on twins conjoined at the head, and this was his seventh craniopagus operation. But it was also his most complicated: the boys’ brains so intertwined, Goodrich considered stopping hours into the operation.
“Historically, this will be the fastest (recovery),” Goodrich says at Jadon’s bedside.
“I didn’t know that,” Nicole responds. “So they were maybe your hardest set, but the fastest ones out of the hospital.”
Goodrich nods. He attributes their remarkable recovery to one thing: “Just good kids.”
The surgeon marvels at how well Jadon and Anias are doing. “I’m the least complaining person in this room,” he says. “When they’re ahead of schedule, it makes everyone happy.”

We Won’t See Another Supermoon Like This Until 2034

The full moon is bigger and brighter than it’s been in decades, delighting stargazers, photographers and anyone who’s taken a moment or two to look up at the nighttime sky over the past day or two.

In fact, NASA scientists say that the moon is brighter than it has appeared at any point in the last 68 years.
We won’t see another supermoon like this until 2034, so make sure you get a look.
A “supermoon” occurs when the moon becomes full on the same day as its perigee, the point in the moon’s orbit when it is closest to Earth.
The term is borrowed from the pseudoscience of astrology but has been adopted by popular culture and astronomers. Supermoons generally appear to be 14% bigger and 30% brighter than other full moons.
While such moons occur about every 13 months, November’s is a special one. According to NASA, this month’s supermoon “becomes full within about two hours of perigee — arguably making it an extra-super moon.”

The home was listed for sale at $5.3 million before going off the market in May.

It’s being leased to the Obamas by Joe Lockhart, former President Bill Clinton’s White House press secretary.

See What A Mother Did To Her Daughter For Failing To Attend Classes

A cruel mum chained her young daughter to a street lamp post as punishment for playing truant from school. The photo shows the tearful eight-year-old child with a metal chain hooked around her ankle and tied to a large metal post. The youngster covered her mouth and looked on with a sad expression after being left there by her raging mother.

Horrified onlookers heard the girl crying in the car park outside the family’s apartment on Wednesday afternoon. They tried to free her but the thick chain had been secured with two padlocks – leaving the youngster stuck for over an hour before police arrived.

She told cops that her 30-year-old mum had punished her because she failed to attend mandarin classes at school in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The girl had been locked up for around an hour before neighbours called police, who arrived around ten minutes later and tracked down the mum. The unemployed woman was taken in for questioning and later released.

Don’t Pay $50,000 To See Me Or My Husband, Aisha Buhari Warns

Wife of the President, Aisha Buhari, has warned that anyone who demands $50,000 to enable him see her or her husband should be disregarded.

Speaking at an appreciation dinner she hosted for women and youths at the Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa on Saturday, she said whoever demands money to facilitates his or her seeing her or her husband was neither working for the President nor the All Progressives Congress, APC.

She said: “I will like to inform you that in the past regime, whether it is true or false, only God knows. Some people were going round, parading themselves as personal assistants. If you wanted to see the First Lady, you will pay $30,000 or $50,000; and if you are seeing the President, you will pay all that you have gathered in your lifetime.

“This will not happen in our regime. Whoever asks you to give a single penny in the name of coming to see the President or his wife is not our staff. He is not an APC member; it is a lie. Don’t be deceived.”

She stated that there was nothing people did not say about the past administration, stressing that it was not former President Goodluck Jonathan that was not good but the people around him.

The President’s wife said the people that are going to be around her husband have to be very careful because the election ended peacefully.

“We are praying and hoping that people around him should know that it took him 12 years to get to that position and they must know that they are coming to serve the masses, not President Muhammadu Buhari in person.

“It is the people that are around him that will determine the political health of our state.

“I am so delighted to stand before you today as the wife of a former Head of State and today being called the wife of the President. It was such a long journey and we thank God it ended this way; we really thank God.

“I want to thank all Nigerian women and youths for the crucial roles they played towards the success of the last elections. I am very much aware of your steadfastness during the election campaigns up till the elections proper,” she said.

She explained that in line with the philosophy of her husband, the administration would be open to all Nigerians.

While noting the challenges faced by the country in the areas of security, unemployment and corruption, she said the responsibility to solve the problems should not be left for the government alone.

Mrs. Buhari also used the occasion to explain that her husband never put her in purdah.

She urged Nigerians to come up with practical solutions, collectively and individually, that would facilitate answers to the ills of the society, especially women issues.

“Even, by the recent campaigns, it was Bola Ahmed Tinubu who insisted that I should come out and support my husband. Not that I never liked supporting my husband but it all depended on the people around him. And now, it is the people around him that said they wanted me to participate; we did and we have seen the difference.

“My husband is a gender- sensitive being, having so many girls as his own biological children and then having me as his wife. Then, you can see the generation gap. He allowed me to go to school. To cut the story short, he is the pillar of my success.

“The women of Nigeria are not asking for equal representation but a fair representation.

“As you are all aware, they were the major voters; we constitute more than 50 per cent and in the end, we found out that the number of female legislators that we used to have declined. I do not think this is fair to women. We feel we are not adequately represented.

“We should now make it as a mission in the next four years, to fight for fair representation of women in both leadership and decision-making bodies,” she said.

She also spoke on the high rate of divorce in the North, widowhood in the South and female students’ harassment in higher institutions, demanding that something be done to solve the problems.
