She was told by veterinarians that there was little chance that he would survive. But she never gave up on him. Melissa brought him home and gave him a name: Sméagol, after the creepy, wide-eyed character from The Lord of the Rings.

As months went by, Melissa continued to care for Sméagol. After all, he was family now. Even though he was too small for proper jaw surgery, this kitty healed up fine. His face has character and unparalleled charm.

As Sméagol’s coat grew back thick and healthy, his unique personality began to emerge.

From injured stray to loved and adopted, Sméagol is practically unrecognizable from the cat he once was.

Though Separated, Chris Rocks’ Wife Wants Chris To Keep Supporting Adopted Child

Chris Rock’s estranged wife is calling him out in legal docs, demanding he continue supporting the 7-year-old South African girl they raised — even if she’s not legally their child.

In Malaak’s divorce docs, which TMZ obtained, she listed the 2 daughters she and Chris had together, Zahra and Lola, but also lumps in Ntombi as a dependent. Malaak says she’s been raised “as a member of the family and has been solely supported by [Chris and Malaak].”

What’s interesting is when Chris filed his divorce petition, he only mentioned Zahra and Lola … implying he has zero financial responsibility for Ntombi. But Malaak’s point is clear — Chris has always supported Ntombi as his daughter, so he needs to continue doing so.

Ntombi still lives in the U.S. under a visitor visa, but was never legally adopted by Chris or Malaak.

Gabonese President Ali Bongo Allegedly Found To Be Igbo, Adopted From Nigeria During Biafra War

Indications have emerged that the President of Gabon, Ali Bongo Ondimba is a Nigerian of the ethnic Igbo stock. It is said that he was adopted during the Biafran war by his father, Omar Bongo who handed over to him as President.

 

This development may soon be confirmed as a court in western France on Thursday allowed a family member of Omar Bongo to view the birth certificate of Ali Bongo following accusations that he lied about his country of origin.

 

The Gabonese constitution demands that one must be born Gabonese to serve as the head of state, but French investigative journalist, Pierre Pean alleged in a recent book that the President was actually a Nigerian and was adopted during the Biafran war in the late 1960s.

 
The court in Nantes allowed 25-year-old Onaida Maisha Bongo Ondimba, a daughter of former president Omar Bongo, to view the documents in full, which her lawyer, Eric Moutet hailed the decision as “enormous”, though “diplomatically complex”.

 

Ali Bongo is the only one of ex-president Omar Bongo’s 54 declared heirs not to have produced the identification documents. He claims he was born in Brazzaville in 1959, former capital of French Equatorial Africa.

 

The Nantes civil registration centre is responsible for all birth certificates of people born in French Equatorial Africa up to 1960, when the former colonial countries in the region gained independence to become Gabon, Congo, Chad and the Central African Republic.

Sandra Bullock has become a mother again after adopting a baby girl, it has been claimed.

RadarOnline.com reports the Oscar-winning star of The Blind Side now has a new infant daughter.
Sandra, 51, already has a son Louis, five, whom she adopted in New Orleans in 2010.

The news comes one day after it was claimed that Sandra’s new boyfriend, model and photographer Bryan Randall has ‘moved into’ her Beverly Hills home. An unnamed source quoted by
RadarOnline.com revealed the movie star had made it ‘quite clear to Bryan from the start that she’s looking for a husband to raise kids with.’

The couple are said to have been dating for several months before they went public with their romance in August. Big congrats to her.
