Man Falls Off A Cliff Walking Head Down On His Phone

Time reports on a man who plunged to his death off a San Diego cliff on Christmas Day while he was distracted by an electronic device.

The man, who NBC 7 says has been identified as 33-year-old Joshua M Burwell of Sheridan, Indiana, fell 60 feet from Sunset Cliffs on Friday at 5 p.m. People who saw him before the fall said he seemed to be looking at either a cell phone or a camera while walking.

“Witnesses stated seeing someone distracted by an electronic device and he just fell over the edge,” said San Diego Lifeguard Bill Bender. “[He] wasn’t watching where he was walking, he was looking down at the device in his hands.”

After the man fell, three people climbed down the rocks to help rescue him and administer first aid.

“They acted quickly, they found a way to get down the cliff,” Bender said, according to NBC 7. “They put themselves at jeopardy…They administered CPR to the person in attempt to save a life.”

Unfortunately, the man was pronounced dead when medics arrived on the scene.

“Just like driving and using a cell phone, you don’t want to be walking and using a cell phone or be distracted or anything,” Bender said.

You don’t need to be Beyonce to turn heads in this getup.

The Queen Bey was anything but incognito when she stepped out of her New York City office building in Midtown on Monday night dressed in a Christmas tree costume. The ensemble included a Santa hat, lights, crazy sunglasses, ornaments and a big bow on the back of the festive coat.

This was quite the office party! An insider told ET that Beyoncé was there from 2 p.m. until 11 p.m., and gifted each employee with Jay Z’s D’USSE VSOP cognac, which is priced at about $55 a bottle.

Beyonce was later joined at the soiree by her husband but he only showed  up for a moment. The 46-year-old rapper, who’s office is across the street from his wife’s work, opted not to dress up for the ugly Christmas sweater party, but instead arrived in his usual all-black outfit and camouflage jacket.

Blue Ivy and her nanny also made an appearance at the event.

Steve Harvey is a lot of things. You either love him or hate him. But he’s always struck me as a good father. And his twin daughters Karli and Brandi are lovely ladies. So I was excited to see the news that his daughter Karli was getting married to entrepreneur and business owner Ben Raymond.

Naturally, her father was the one to walk her down the aisle.

But it wasn’t an easy task for Steve or Karli. Both fought back tears and tried not to look at each other as they were preparing to step into the ceremony space. It was a beautiful moment you’ll just have to watch to completely grasp.
