Globacom To Drop Crisis-ridden Psquare As Ambassadors

Psquare, the singing duo of Peter and Paul Okoye, are set to have their contract terminated by Globacom, Nigerian telecommunications company.

TheCable Lifestyle learnt from reliable sources that Globacom decided to end their contract due to the public controverses Psquare has been involved in, within the past year.

Owing to managerial and creative disputes, Peter and Paul have had series of social media disagreements which led to a temporary split early this year.

The pair, a few months ago, announced that they had reunited and settled their differences.

Shortly after, they released a new single titled ‘Bank Alert’ and recently dropped the star-studded video for the song.

An insider in Globacom revealed to TheCable Lifestyle that Psquare has already written a joint letter to the management of Globacom to reconsider them as brand ambassadors.

The letter also contained an apology to the telecommunications company over their public rifts but TheCable Lifestyle understands that there is no going back.

Top shots at Globacom are believed to have made up their mind to do away with the brothers after failing to keep their dirty laundry private.

The public nature of their disagreements is considered detrimental to the public image of Globacom, hence the cessation of ties.

Psquare got signed to Globacom in 2010 on a four-year contract which was later renewed in 2014.

Their deal is worth an estimated N65m per year.

I Felt Very Sad When P Square Didn’t Feature Me In ‘Do Me’ Video – Waje

Before she became the huge star she is today, Waje was the lady behind the addictive chorus in Psquare’s smash hit, Do me.Many were surprised she wasn’t featured in the video ..So, it took years for music lovers to realize it was her vocals on the track. In a new chat with the Netng, Waje says she felt bad..

Honestly, I felt defeated. I felt very sad. I was yet go get my big break then; maybe appearing in the video would have helped me become popular at that time. The song was huge and the video was topping charts, I believed featuring in the video would have given me my big break at that time. But in all, I thank God I was able to do it on my own
few years after.’ ‘I can’t really explain what happened at that time. I felt they contacted my record label. And you know the video wasn’t shot here, it was shot in South Africa. Maybe I was dropped because of logistics reason, I wouldn’t know.’…

This Ghanaian Twin Insist They Are Better Than P-Square

A France-based Ghanaian group, Los Grumos, is itching for the spotlight with an outrageous claim: that they are better than Nigeria’s P-Square.

They are also a set of twins, named Rey (born Panyin Yaw Amponsah) and Ro (born Kakra Yaw Amponsah). Though relatively unknown, the twins are said to write and perform songs and are not constricted within any certain genre. Now, they are out to ‘dethrone’ Africa’s most famous twins, P-Square.

In an interview with Ghanaian blog Myjoyonline, Rey and Ro are quoted to have said:

“What makes us bigger than P-Square is that we are big in Europe. Our music cuts across the
European market, our band also cuts across the USA market. Our music is big just that we are not more focused in Africa that’s why we promoting our new single ‘Adjoa’ for all Africans to know we are the best across the globe and also make Africans proud (sic).”

.
“We have performed on almost all the biggest shows in Europe. That makes us different from P-Square and also bigger than them.”

Meanwhile, P-Square’s Peter and Paul have just returned from Morocco where they headlined the massive 2015 Mawazine Music Festival alongside Jennifer Lopez, Pharrell Williams, Sean Paul and others.

Los Grumos, who were born in France, reportedly started recording in 2006 and have over 40 songs under their belt.

Now they are promoting their new single, ‘Adjoa’, which is a “tasteful mixture of Afrobeat and hiphop style that reflects our African and French backgrounds.”

P-Square is yet to respond to the ‘challenge.’.

Peter Okoye of the Psquare group posted this photo on his Instagram today with the caption, “Start Talking!….. Lol”

He did not say anything as regards to the hand posture or render any explanation or justification but as we all know, that symbol is always recognized as the illunimati pyramid.

So was this done to call attention or he is indirectly sending a message to the public?
