Eid-el-Maulud: FG Declares Monday, Dec 12, Public Holiday

The federal government has declared Monday, Dec. 12 , as public holiday to mark the Eid-el-Maulud celebration.

The Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. AbdulrahmanDambazau (rtd), made the declaration on behalf of the federal government yesterday in Abuja.

In a statement signed by the acting permanent secretary of the ministry, AlhajiMuhammaduMaccido, Dambazau enjoined all Muslim faithful and Nigerians in general to join hands with President MuhammaduBuhari to build a strong, united and peaceful nation.

He also urged all Nigerians to use the occasion to pray for peace across the nation.

The minister also called on all Nigerians to be patient and supportive of the present administration for the successful implementation of its laudable programmes.

He wished all Nigerians a happy and peaceful Eid-el-Maulud celebration.

#Nigeria@56: FG Declares Monday Public Holiday

The Federal Government has declared Monday as public holiday to mark the nation’s 56th independence anniversary celebration.

The Minister of Interior, Lt Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (retd.), who made the declaration on behalf of the FG, congratulated Nigerians at home and abroad on the commemoration of this year’s independence anniversary.

He assured  them that the government was working assiduously to put in place “various palliative measures to cushion the effects of the current economic challenges.”

The minister, in a statement by the acting Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Alhaji Muhammadu Maccido on Thursday in Abuja, urged all Nigerians to continue to support President Muhammadu Buhari in his “avowed determination to build a strong, virile and united country in line with the dream of the country’s founding fathers.”

“He wished all Nigerians a happy anniversary celebration,” it added.

Eid-el-Kabir:Federal Govt.Declares Monday Sept 12th & Tuesday Sept 13th As Public Holidays

The Federal Government has declared Monday Sept. 12 and Tuesday Sept.13 2016 as public holidays to mark Eid-el-Kabir celebrations.

In a statement signed by the acting Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Interior, M. Maccido, Minister of Interior, Retired Lt Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau, made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government and wished all Nigerians, a happy Eid-el-Kabir celebration.

FG Declares Tuesday, Wednesday As Public Holiday

The Federal Government has declared July 5 and 6, 2016, as public holiday to mark the Eid-el-Fitri celebrations.

The Minister of Interior, Lt. Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (retd.), who made the declaration on behalf of the Federal Government, on Thursday in Abuja, urged all Muslim faithful and Nigerians in general “to extend the spiritual benefits of Ramadan, which are love, peace and justice to their daily living and through these, contribute to the development of the nation.”

A statement by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Bassey Akpanyung, said Dambazau also urged Nigerians to use the opportunity of “this spiritual rejuvenation to reflect on the imperative of unity and peaceful co-existence in strengthening the bond of togetherness for a strong and virile nation.”

The minister, while wishing Nigerians a peaceful celebration, urged total support for President Muhammadu Buhari’s avowed determination to bequeath to the nation an enduring political legacy.

FG Declares Tomorrow As Public Holiday

The Federal Government has declared Friday, January 1, 2016 as public holiday to mark the New Year celebration.

The declaration was made on behalf of the Federal Government by the Minister of Interior, Gen. Abdulrahman Dambazau (retd).

He called on Nigerians, irrespective of their religious inclinations, to inculcate the spirit of the season as exemplified by love, joy and peaceful co-existence.

Dambazau also urged all Nigerians to continue to promote the unity of the country in its progress towards building a nation devoid of rancour and bitterness.

FG Declares Thursday, Friday Public Holiday

The Federal Government has declared Thursday and Friday this week as public holidays to mark the celebration of this year’s Eid-il-Kabir.

The declaration was contained in a statement issued yesterday in Abuja and signed by the Director of Press, Ministry of Interior, Yusuf Isiaka, on behalf of the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Abubakar Magaji.

Government enjoined all Muslim faithful and Nigerians from all walks of life to extend the religious benefits of the festival, which include love, peace, empathy and tolerance to one another for the overall development of the nation.
