Even though Rymir Satterthwaite, 21, does look a great deal like music mogul and superstar Jay-Z, Satterthwaite and his mom’s claim that Jay-Z is the young man’s father have yet to be proven — something the music mogul has denied. Jay-Z has also refused to take a paternity test which has been the focus of several lawsuits Satterthwaite and his mother, Wanda, have been pursuing for several years.
In a new interview with RadarOnline, the younger Satterthwaite said, “It was a big case for me because I really wanted to find out who my father was.”
Satterthwaite also told the gossip website he is frustrated because he and his mother cannot come close to matching Jay-Z’s virtually bottomless financial resources — to continue to pursue their claims.
Wanda Satterthwaite bases her claim of Jay-Z fathering Rymir on her contention she had a very passionate romantic involvement with the musician back in the early ’90s, before his career really had taken off.
Rymir also told RadarOnline that a principal reason for his lawsuit is to seek funds for his mother, whom he says is medically fragile, due to suffering from severe asthma and a weak heart, due to a genetic condition.
The only child Jay-Z (real name Shaun Carter) admits to fathering is his daughter,Blue Ivy — born to his wife, Beyonce in January, 2012.
