“I Didn’t Know I Had A Son Till He was 2 Years Old” – Wande Coal

Black Diamond Entertainment boss Wande Coal was a guest recently on MTVBase Real talk, when he was asked how he kept his 6-year old son a secret from his fans. According to Wande, he never knew he had a son till the young boy was 2.

Wande told the show’s host:

 ‘Well, I didn’t know I had a kid till he was 2 years old. When they brought him to me, he already looked like me. So when I found out, I knew I had to do something about it and then I took him to my mum and she’s been taking care of him’.

Davido To Premiere Five Unreleased Videos On MTV Base

With just a few weeks to the release of his sophomore album, “Baddest”, multiple award winning pop star, Davido is set to premiere five fresh videos off his first album, OBO Genesis on Africa’s biggest music channel, MTV Base.

The videos which include, New Skul Tinz featuring label mates, Sina Rambo and B-Red, Bless Me featuring May D, Dollars in The Bank featuring Kayswitch, Video and MaryJane are all unreleased videos from his debut album, OBO and will air on MTV Base’ show tagged, Davido Exposed on Saturday, October 10, 2015.

Davido who speaks about all five videos on the exclusive show reveals that “New Skul Tins” is his least liked video and he would have loved to re-enact the Michael Jackson concept for “MaryJane”. The talented performer also revealed that he will be shooting his next video in Tokyo or Jamaica as no one in the Nigerian market has really explored those countries.

He also makes a hilarious promise to “jump out” of the plane like his popular hit video, “The Sound” featuring Uhuru. An excited Davido commented, I’m glad I am releasing these videos now… Took me a while to decide whether I wanted to release them before the new album dropped but I’m happy I’m releasing them now… Nobody has seen this video! It’s about to be shown to the world for the first time and exclusively on MTV Base.

US Singer, Ne-Yo To Perform At MTV Africa Music Awards 2015

Grammy Award winning R&B icon, NE-YO, has been announced to perform at the MTV Africa Music Awards 2015. Performing songs from his sixth studio album ‘Non Fiction’ the singer-songwriter expressed his excitement about his first ever performance in the South African city, “I can’t wait for you to see what I have in store Durban! I hope you’re ready, because I am!”

Since smashing onto the top spot of the Billboard Hot 200 Chart back in 2006 with his sophomore single “So Sick”, NE-YO has spent the last nine years churning out hit after hit, not only as a performer, but as a songwriter for his megastar peers Beyoncé, Rihanna and the late Michael Jackson to name but a few.

Multiple platinum singles, four hit albums and three Grammy Awards later, the hit-maker is ready to
share his latest work with the world.

The show will also be transmitted worldwide on partner stations and content platforms including BET International from 18 July. In addition, a special MAMA-themed edition of MTV’s acclaimed World Stage franchise will air globally on MTV channels around the world on August 27, 2015.
