Steve Harvey Apologized To Miss Colombia In Person (WATCH)

Steve Harvey hosted a special two-part episode of his eponymous talk show this week, sitting down for another postmortem with Miss Colombia and Miss Philippines (now Miss Universe).

They’ll be reminiscing over old times, by which I mean the pageant gaffe heard around the world when, you know, Harvey announced the wrong winner during last month’s Miss Universe.

“This has caused a lot of sleepless nights for me,” Harvey explained during the show. “This finally gives me a chance to have a moment of closure.”

Oh No! Host Steve Harvey Announces, Crowns Wrong Contestant As Miss Universe

Wrong contestant named Miss Universe! After catching mistake they took crown off the girl who thought she had won and gave it to the real winner!
As host of the 2015 Miss Universe pageant Sunday night in Las Vegas, Harvey announced Miss Colombia was the winner… but then he realized he had made a mistake, and she was actually the first runner-up. It was Miss Philippines who should have been crowned.

You read that right. In the awkward moment of all awkward moments, Steve announced that Miss Colombia was crowned Miss Universe, but it was actually Miss Philippines who won the title.
After Miss Colombia spent a few minutes celebrating her victory, she had to be de-crowned on stage and Miss Philippines took the honor.
They literally gave the crown to Columbia for 2+ mins and then Steve walked out and said she was the runner up. #MissUniverse2015

Poor Miss Colombia had her crown taken off of her head and immediately placed on Miss Philippines’ head right on the stage leading to a bizarre ending.

A regretful Harvey who further took to Twitter to apologise,  confirming his mistake said: The correct winner, Miss Philippines, and first runner-up, Miss Colombia, are listed on his card.
