The Carters Are Getting Kicked Out Of Their Home

According to TMZ, the Holmby Hills mansion the couple and Blue Ivy had been renting since last summer has sold and they now have 60 days to pack up and get out. The 16,000-square-foot house, which has been on the market since April of last year, finally sold for $35.5 million, a discount from its original asking price of $48 million. TMZ says Beyoncé and Jay were not interested in matching the buyers bid for Blue’s childhood home.

Bey and Jay first dipped their toes in the LA lifestyle back in September 2014, making the mansion their home base in between tours and renting it for $200,000 a month. It must have made an impression, because they were back in February of this year, this time paying a paltry $150,000 a month while they looked for a permanent place in LA.

Court Evicts Former Anambra Gov Jim Nwobodo From Abuja home

A High Court has ordered the eviction of former Governor of Anambra State, Senator Jim Nwobodo from a mansion he is living at the high-brow Maitama District in Abuja. Justice Suleiman Belgore of the Federal Capital Territory ordered Nwobodo to relinquish the property to the owner, Adib-Miles International Limited.

The property in question is a six-bedroom mansion with one bedroom guest chalet and two-room boys quarters at 24, Ona Crescent, Plot 768 Cadastral Zone A5, Maitama Abuja. Justice Belgore, in his judgment, a copy of which was obtained byVanguard, equally ordered Nwobodo to pay N11 million as arrears of the rent on the premises from June 1, 2009, to May 31, 2011.

In the course of the trial, the court found as a fact that the plaintiff company had sometime in 2008 bought the property from one Alhaji Al-Mustapha Abubakar who had earlier leased the property to Nwobodo. However, Nwobodo had in a counter-affidavit he filed against the suit that culminated to the eviction order against him, claimed that while the property was on offer for sale, he expressed intention to purchase it.
