Nigerian prostitutes hold 2015 election amidst violence

Pandemonium ensued after the 2015 election of the National Association of Nigerian Prostitutes (NANP) on Sunday, August 9.

 

According to Daily Post reportage, violence broke out after the former secretary of the association, Jessica Elvis was declared winner of the election, which took place at a popular hangout, along Lasu-Iba road on Saturday.

 

It was learnt that the 2015 electoral committee chairman, Franca ‘Top Up’ Chikam, had announced Elvis as the winner, after she polled 300 votes to defeat the incumbent, Madam Felix Efoyo, who garnered 153 votes and also Nasarawa state coordinator, Tamar Tion who got 63 votes.

 

The incumbent however rejected the outcome of the election, claiming the election was marred with irregularities.

In the course of the argument, a fight ensued and one person got stabbed with a broken bottle.
