Reports reaching us indicate that the INEC Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) in Akwa Ibom, Mr. Austin Okojie was picked up by men of the Department State Security Service (DSS). His arrest is not unconnected with the alleged damage to the State’s electoral materials. Akwa Ibom reported one of the highest cases of violence during the last elections. More on this later.
