More than 50 Heads of government are expected to attend the swearing-in ceremony of Muhammadu Buhari as the new President of Nigeria on May 29.
The Chairman of the Media and Publicity Sub- Committee of the Presidential Inauguration Planning Committee, Edem Duke, who disclosed this on Friday, said most of the expected Heads of government are from African and European countries.
He noted that invitation cards have been dispatched to all the 54 countries in the African continent.
Duke, who is also the Minister of Culture and Tourism, noted that many of the African leaders have signified their intentions to attend the event. The United States will send its Secretary of State, John Kerry to the ceremony.
