Ambassador Baba Ahmed Jidda, secretary to the Borno State Government, has said the reason that Borno State residents turned their back on the ruling party was due to their apparent lack of concern when dealing with Boko Haram insurgents.

Jidda has lamented the killing of Borno residents across the State at the hands of Boko Haram and claimed that the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) only showed concern for their election campaign and not for their people.

While speaking with journalists at the INEC office in Maiduguri, Jidda expressed hope that Muhammadu Buhari would better handle the issue of terrorism within the region.
