Nearly three months ago, Nick Cannon quietly filed for divorce from his estranged wife, Mariah Carey. Since his filing, there have been several reports that the split would be quick, clean and easy since Nick and Mimi aren’t fighting over assets. However, it appears that there’s a chance—perhaps small but a chance nonetheless—that something other than real estate and finances may be putting the divorce on pause.

During a recent interview with HipHollywood, the actor implied that he’s not against trying to reconcile with his R&B-singing wife. The revelation came during a discussion about friend and business associate Amber Rose, who has made it clear that she desires to reconcile with her estranged husband Wiz Khalifa.

“Love is a beautiful thing. Get out there and go get what you want,” Nick said of Amber and Wiz.

As for his own impending divorce and the possibility of making amends with his wife, Nick had this to say: “I mean, like I said, ‘You never say never,’” he shared while grinning from ear to ear.

Interestingly, the “America’s Got Talent” host took to Instagram yesterday and gave Mimi a shout out for the release of her #1 to Infinity greatest hits album, which suggests that they’re in a really great place right now.
