Pandemonium broke out on Fasasi Street in the Ajegunle, Apapa area of Lagos State, following the death of a 28-year-old man, Ebi Amade stabbed to death by his girlfriend, Gift Wahab.

The suspect, an indigene of Uromi in Edo state reportedly committed the act at their residence after the deceased from Bayelsa state refused to provide feeding allowance.

The pair were said to have been living together since 2013 and even had a baby although the baby died last December after a brief illness. Some of the neighbours of the warring couple alerted the attention of the police from the Layeni division which led to the arrest of the suspect.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Kenneth Nwosu, who confirmed the incident, disclosed that he matter had been transferred to the State Department of Criminal Investigations for further investigation.
