The Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate in Adamawa State, Reverend Hakila Yerima, has died. Hakila who intends to rule Adamawa died on the 6^th of January, 2015 of a liver related disease after picking the party’s governorship ticket on the 6^th of December, 2014.

He however wrote the party few days to his death of his intention to withdrawing from the race due to failing health before passing away few days after the letter.
