Four days after its data office located at No.10, Bola Ajbola Street, Allen Avenue, Ikeja, was invaded by the operatives of the Department of State Service (DSS), the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday secured a court judgement barring DSS from taking further steps in connection with the property.
Counsel to the APC, Yemi Osinbajo, had filed a case of infringement on fundamental human rights against the DSS before Justice Mohammed Nasir Yenusa of the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos.
Giving the order, Justice Yenusa also ordered the intelligence outfit to produce the five data entry staff, who have been held in custody in court on Friday.
The court, however, did not give any order regarding the release of the seized equipment, server, computer and other equipment that were confiscated by the DSS.
The APC and the DSS had been engaged in war of words over the activities taking place at the warehouse.
Spokesperson of the DSS, Marilyn Ogar, had said it received a petition alleging “unwholesome activities” in the building.
