Former Governor Murtala Nyako and former Acting Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, have disagreed over the course of action that led to the sacking of the acting governor from office.
Nyako had through his spokesman, Ahmad Sajoh, issued a statement congratulating Governor Bala Ngilari over his victory at the court saying Ngilari’s victory is a testimony to the illegality committed by the House of Assembly under the leadership of Fintiri in the process of impeaching him.
“This is a further testimony to the fact that the entire process associated with the purported impeachment saga had been just series of acts characterized by extreme illegality and political brigandage”, he said.
The former governor expressed confidence that the legal victory was an indication that he would be reinstated by the court, saying “the process of the reversal of all the series of illegalities connected with the supposed impeachment saga has only just commenced and will continue until it culminates with the return of Governor Nyako to Government House, Yola”
