Where are u going with all these glories?
I besiege you Dora,
Share some with us,
Where are you leaving those intellects?
We need them to proceed your enviable path,
But no your spirit said,
I’ll request your soul beacons,
All gone for glory.
We know you would have granted us this last request,
Even at the state of our state,
Your state of absence staged a huge vacuum on our state,
Now the statue of death has finally dashed our hope of your return,
Not even your waves can we see no more,
Your smiling face that scare the corrupt,
Your royal steps that boils the evil,
All gone for glory.
We can see your smile on the rising sun,
Just when the sun is setting,
We feel your Virtue,
We know you’re smiling at us now,
Even as we can’t see you,
No more can we feel your touch,
As you’ve been taken from us,
The eagles curbing their wings in solemn, Reflection of your transformation.
All gone for glory.
They are not of timidity;
The serenity of the the jungle,
In no measure are they of inactivity,
The calmness of the oceans,
But of salute to the fallen brightest star,
The reality of your leadership,
All gone for glory.
The children you saved will forever love you,
The orphans you raised will remember you,
Your stories will be told by the Widows,
The less privileged will hug your memories,
We will tell our children your odyssey,
Nigeria will tell her Nation your worth,
Your paths will be referenced on the pages of the icons,
Remember how you left us here,
Tell God our pains,
Remind Him how the Politicians have cursed us,
As you step to the Angels band, forget us not Dora,
But then enjoy the Angels band.
Goodnight Nkem!!!
