Kathy Griffin: I Wouldn’t Have Said That Zendaya Comment.

Zendaya, Giuliana Rancic, and Kelly Osbourne have all weighed in on the so-called joke Rancic attempted to crack about Zendaya’s dreadlocks on Fashion Police last month. Comedian Kathy Griffin took her turn Tuesday.

In an email interview with the Chicago Sun-Times, Griffin was asked if it would have been so controversial if she had been the one to utter Rancic’s line about thinking Zendaya “smells like patchouli oil… or weed” because of the teen star’s hairstyle on the Oscars red carpet. “Probably not,” replied Griffin, who replaced the late Joan Rivers as host in January. “But I wouldn’t have said the joke in the first place. Some dude wrote it for her.”

Who Will Replace Kelly Osbourne? Khloe Kardashian? Find Out!

Khloe Kardashian could replace Kelly Osbourne as host of E!’s Fashion Police, it has been revealed.

The television personality is reportedly being lined up to present the show after Osbourne quit following a joke made by her co-host Giuliana Rancic about actress Zendaya.

As US Weekly reports, Kardashian is now the favorite to replace Osbourne on the E! show.

Rancic issued an on-air apology after joking on Fashion Police that Zendaya’s dreadlocks on the Oscars red carpet smelled of “weed” and “patchouli”.

Zendaya has since accepted Rancic’s apology, and expressed her hope that the presenter learned to avoid stereotypes through the controversy.

Osbourne originally hit out at Rancic for her comments and threatened to quit the show, before praising her apology.

Zendaya Responds To Apology!

Zendaya is clearing taking the high road, but several other celebrities have taken Rancic to task. This morning on The View, the co-hosts agreed Rancic was “no Joan Rivers” and suggested thatFashion Police had run its course following the comedian’s death in September. “Maybe it’s time for the show to turn into something else, because Joan was one of a kind,” said Whoopi Goldberg.

Co-host Nicolle Wallace added: “If you have to carry on a show in her tragic absence, you have to understand that you are not Joan. You don’t get to say this stuff and get away with it.”

Kelly Osbourne Threatening To Abandon Fashion Police?

Reports say that Kelly Osbourne is threatening to abandon her position as co-host of E!’s Fashion Police, following an unfortunate incident involving Disney Channel star (and Osbourne’s friend) Zendaya.

First, a quick recap: During Fashion Police‘s post-Oscars special on Monday, co-host Giuliana Rancic made a (terrible) joke about Zendaya’s dreadlocks, one that insinuated the K.C. Undercover star’s hair smelled like marijuana. Zendaya, feeling that the joke also had racist connotations, posted an open letter on her Instagram account, urging anyone with such comments to “contemplate a little before opening your mouth” in the future.
