Mrs Obama is seen telling the presenter: “I hear you’re here for a 1.45 tour and I had a little time on my hands so you want to go for a spin?”

The First Lady then tells Corden she “rarely” gets to listen to music in the car and the only time she has ever sat in the front passenger seat “rocking out” was when one of her daughters was learning to drive.

Other stars who have appeared on Carpool Karaoke include Adele, Sir Elton John and Stevie Wonder.

Corden began hosting The Late, Late Show in March last year.

Students Who Started A Company To Predict The Success Of Youtube Stars Now Make Millions

Timothy Armoo and Ambrose Cooke, both 21 established Fanbytes a year ago and cash in on the success of YouTube stars

Two internet-savvy friends who decided to put their university studies to one side and set up their own business are celebrating after their company raked in a six-figure turnover last year.

The friends, who predict who the next Zoella or Jim Chapman will be by how big their following is, started the firm a year ago and have seen its success sky-rocket – with predictions to earn seven figures in the next year.

Speaking to FEMAIL about his brainchild, Timothy, who is a student at Warwick University but spends most of time in London working on his start-up, said: ‘We can predict who will be the next breakout stars on YouTube based on some super geeky algorithm that we’ve created and brands as such New Look, Sephora, and Adidas are all hopping on board.’

After coining the idea, Timothy called on Ambrose, right, to be his business partner and they brought Mitchell Fasanya, left, on as their Chief Technical Officer

After coining the idea, Timothy called on Ambrose to be his business partner and says he will never forget how he and his now best friend first met.

He recalls: ‘We were at a leadership event, and I remember one of the speakers mentioned the importance of networking with the phrase “look to your left, look to your right, your future business partner might be next to you”.

‘Ambrose looked at me to his left. We bonded over sports, books and then I started building Fanbytes asked him to join.’

Timothy, who sold a media company at 18 which netted him some notoriety and some cash, invested £3,000 of his own money into the start-up, which he says was inspired by his younger cousin.

He said: ‘I remember my little cousin buying a bunch of new stuff, random new hats and trainers and I asked him why he got them. He mentioned that he was influenced by KSI who is a YouTuber now.

‘When you see your own family members having their purchasing habits being changed by this random guy in his bedroom somewhere you’re instantly alerted to the power of YouTubers. Similarly, we saw that these guys were micro celebrities in their own right and needed a way to monetise their audience.

‘YouTube is quite unfair to creators, taking 45 per cent of fees from adverts so we knew that they’d need a better way.

‘There are a few players in the space but everyone keeps using random slow management companies and we just decided to build a website which makes it as easy as buying an ad on Google or Facebook. And brands such Disney, Nickelodeon, Sephora have all signed up.’

So how does the concept work? Clients tell Fanbytes about their brand and they then help build a successful campaign.

Whether it’s downloads, traffic or general social buzz, the team of creatives promise to utilise their clever algorithm to help clients find the perfect influencers to collaborate with based on gender, age and audience location and track the clicks, views and engagement.

Patience Jonathan’s “There Is God” Video is Nigeria’s Most Viewed YouTube Clip Ever – Google

The famous, “There is God,” video skit by the first lady, Patience Jonathan, is Nigeria’s most viewed non-music footage ever on popular online video site, YouTube, the site’s owner, Google, announced Thursday.

The video, published in 2014 by Channels TV, showed Mrs. Jonathan breaking down at a meeting over the abduction of about 276 schoolgirls by Boko Haram insurgents in Chibok, Borno State, in a dramatic display of emotion that drew global attention.

The meeting was the First Lady’s first public acknowledgement of the Chibok abduction, one of
Boko Haram’s mass kidnapping that shocked the world.

Addressing a group of women, and the principal of the secondary school where the girls were seized, Mrs. Jonathan launched into what seemed a stagy show of grief, scolding the principal for her handling of the insurgents’ attack.

She questioned why the principal hesitated to honour her invitation for a meeting in Abuja, and the circumstances of the kidnap.

With not satisfactory response from the principal, the Frist Lady exploded, “All these blood you people are shedding, there is God o, there is God o, God…o….Chai, there is God o,” she lamented repeatedly before dabbing tears from her eyes with a handkerchief.

Mrs. Jonathan’s outburst was also transcribed to imitate her inflection as, “All these blood you people are sharing, diaris God o, diaris God oooo, all this bloods you are sharing, chai, chai, chai diaris God oooh”.

The video drew wide attention across the world, at a time the international community was fixed on how the Nigerian government was responding to the abduction.

The girls remain in captivity more than a year after.

The video ranking was released by Google on Thursday as YouTube celebrates its 10th year anniversary.

The most watched videos in Nigerian were ranked in the music, non-music and advert categories.

Mrs. Jonathan’s video came first in the non-music category.

Psy’s Gangnam Style ‘ Breaks’ The Internet ‘

Just how big a hit was “Gangnam Style”? So mammoth that the Internet literally wasn’t ready to handle it.

YouTube said that the 2012 song by South Korea’s Psy — accompanied by a horse-riding-like dance that became a global sensation — this week reached the maximum number of views that its counter had imagined to be conceivable.psy-gangnam

The video-sharing site shows that the official version of the video has had more than 2.15 billion views — the equivalent of one-third of the world’s population, although of course many people watched more than once.

The problem: YouTube designed its counter with what is known in computer science as a 32-bit integer, meaning that the maximum number of countable views was 2,147,483,647.

“We never thought a video would be watched in numbers greater than a 32-bit integer,” YouTube, which is owned by search engine giant Google, said in a posting on Google+.

YouTube engineers anticipated the problem and upgraded to a 64-bit integer. That means that “Gangnam Style” or future mega-hit videos can now go beyond nine sextillion views — a feat that, at least according to conventional wisdom, would be impossible to break.

ISIS New Video Shows Training of Child Soldiers in Iraq (Viewer Discretion)

The ISIS Takfiri militants have posted a new propaganda video online which shows young boys undergoing military training to become militants.

The footage, which emerged on YouTube and other sites on Monday, depicts three dozen boys learning martial arts, how to disarm or capture an enemy fighter, and how to bear brute force.

The video shows that physical abuse of children by their instructors is part of their training with an adult trainer punching and kicking boys in their sides, legs, and abdomens while they recoil.

The newly released footage came after its first part appeared online in October.

According to the descriptions of both videos, the training camps are located somewhere in Iraq’s northern Nineveh province, which borders Syria.

There have been reports about the presence of at least five youth training camps in the Syrian province of Raqqa and one specifically for children under 16 in the town of Tabqa.

On November 23, Laurent Chapuis, the UNICEF regional child protection adviser for the Middle East and North Africa, said that children as young as 10 years old are being used by the ISIS.

Citing hundreds of interviews with people who fled or are living in ISIS-controlled areas, a UN panel of experts, known as the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Syria, also said that the Takfiri group “prioritizes children as a vehicle for ensuring long-term loyalty, adherence to their ideology and a cadre of devoted fighters that will see violence as a way of life.”

Boko Haram: Weapon of Psychological Fear- Dinah Adams

Boko-Haram-2

Videos of horrid activities executed by insane horrid terrorists are allowed on public media channels, which is primarily an ignorant way of lending a helping hand to the terrorists.

Most of us are unaware of the most valuable weapon employed by these terrorist before they even engage in any physical attack or battle. Aside their rifles, explosive tanks, bombs, rocket propellers or whatever they use to rain down terror on normal people, these people instill fear into the minds of people before they strike.

The doctrine of instilling psychological fear into the victim has been used by warlords since the inception of war and conflict. They understand that fear, when accommodated can breakdown the enemy prior to confrontation. Hence, they most times exhibit an array of their “game” like hunters would, to prove to the enemy that they are capable of destruction, not just by mere words.

History provides ancient warlords who have a collection of human heads as a count regulator for their victories and most times provides them with titles like “Slayer of Kings”.

boko1

Today digital media provides a hi-tech platform for these gruesome exhibitions with so much ease. Al Qaeda, Al Shabaab, ISIS, Boko Haram, aside many other terrorists networks have enjoyed the privileges of free broadcasting on virtually or almost every international media outlet, and of course not forgetting YouTube. These offensive videos somehow gets to be seen by most visual media audience and then it goes viral within splits of seconds.

It is quite disturbing that most people will intentionally miss a presidential broadcast but will go searching for a terrifying video clip recorded by terrorists. Truth is, viewing these videos is a step closer to the terrorists or death itself. In other words, the content was created to condition people’s minds into accepting the unexpected, while not viewing them frees your mind from the unexpected.

“What you do not know cannot kill you” might lamely express the intention of this content but illuminates the surface truths of it. Another statement provides that “Pictures tell a thousand words”. It is therefore wise to know what you need to know, in order not to be ignorant of unfolding events around you; but then it is wiser to avoid viewing still or motion images that can deteriorate the condition of a common mind that already exists in a state of insecurity.

Regulating the flow of these visual content might be impossible but refusing to patronize them is possible and also an individual effort to defeat the intended fear created for distribution. Viewing  video clips of humans beheading humans or very gruesome and unimaginable methods of murder does educate your underestimation of the enemy but terrifyingly petrifies you and prepares you into accepting defeat.

It is true that Boko Haram has executed several victorious attacks against this nation, which they have flaunted, but they will not and never show you the ones they attempted and failed woefully. This is because they employ the “instill fear and conquer” philosophy and cannot afford to allow Nigerians to see their many weak points.

Finally, amidst the seemingly disappointing efforts of the Nigerian Army, it is however sad that we mostly get to see more of their failures than their victories. Also have in mind that the Nigerian Army was once the military strength of Africa and the backbone of ECOMOG. Let us not lose heart but rather resurrect our hopes into believing that this same Army that halted many civil wars can end this;  but most importantly, overcome the weapon of psychological fear by defeating the urge to patronize it.
