“We Wish He Had Burnt To Death”, Says Family Of Paris Terror Mastermind

The family of Paris terror mastermind Abdelhamid Abaaoud declared yesterday he should have been ‘burnt to death’.

In the Moroccan hamlet where his father Omar was born, they have only just heard of the massacre he organised, leaving 129 dead.
But their verdict was immediate:

Abaaoud had no rightful place on this earth. ‘We rejoice the news he is dead. He deserved it,’ said Sayeed Abaaoud, a cousin of the killer and a village elder and patriarch of the clan.

‘I say he should have been burnt to death, because what he did was not allowed under Islam or any law.’

A police source said Moroccan intelligence had tipped off the French government about Abaaoud. He was killed alongside Hasna Ait Boulahcen, his 26-year-old cousin, who blew herself up.
He had been thought to have planned the massacre from Syria until intelligence placed him in Paris for Friday’s attacks.
Father-of-eight Sayeed, 65, said: ‘It is terrible, just terrible. I know it happened a week ago, but we only just heard about what Abdelhamid did, on Moroccan radio. We don’t have TV.

Sayeed said: ‘We feel very upset by the whole thing. Real Muslims do not do what Abdelhamid did. A good Muslim doesn’t steal or hurt people, so he is not a Muslim.’

The Islamic State killer’s death at the hands of French anti-terrorist police was confirmed yesterday.
The 27-year-old was shot in the head by a sniper then hit by grenades during the raid in the Parisian suburb of Saint-Denis on Wednesday. He had to be identified by his saliva.

How ISIS Punishes Residents For Drinking Beer, Talking To Women, Others Offenses

A lengthy article in The Daily Beast tells us that ISIS will enact severe punishments on its citizens/prisoners for committing any number of sins, including drinking beer or talking to single women. Essentially, it’s like living in a country run by a homicidal and sadistic version of Dean Wormer from Animal House.

Here’s a quick rundown of punishments we found in The Daily Beast’s report:

  • Getting caught drinking will get you 80 lashes in a public square
  • If you’re an unmarried man caught talking with an unmarried woman, you’ll spend three days inside a cage out in public
  • If you’re caught smoking, you’ll spend a day or two in the cage
  • Being suspected of working for foreign intelligence agencies is a really big no-no and will result in a beheading

Interestingly, even though ISIS punishes smokers, it also depends on cigarette smugglers for revenue, as it hits them with heavy fines if it catches them.

At any rate, the entire piece is a chilling but fascinating read.

Senegal To Ban The Full-Face Veil Amidst Growing Terror Threat

Following the arrest of four imams accused of having ties to Boko Haram terrorist group, Senegal plans to ban women from wearing the full-face Islamic veil in public in an attempt to curb terrorism.

The move announced on Tuesday, November 17, by Interior Minister Abdoulaye Daouda, prohibits women from wearing burqas where only their eyes can be seen. Daouda says the law is not anti-Islamic as Senegal is a Muslim majority nation instead he says it’s a question of national security.

Boko Haram has used suicide bombers hiding their explosives beneath loose clothing to carry out scores of attacks in Cameroon, Chad and Nigeria. An estimated 92% of Senegal’s population is Muslim. Although the country has not suffered a terrorist attack recently, authorities are concerned that the Islamic militant group Boko Haram may be trying to extend its range.

Website Selling Phone Casing That Serves As Vibrator For Women

According to IZIVIBE’s website, the product’s “internal dildo structure is designed to propagate the phone’s vibrations along the entire length to get a maximum of pleasure.”

It seems like it works like many other vibrators—you can adjust the intensity or let your partner run the controls—but it’s part of your phone, so you can take it anywhere. As long as you don’t mind explaining to people why your phone has a giant dildo sticking out of it. The configuration actually reminds me of the Selfie Brush.

Russian Man Marries A Pizza, Says It Would Not Reject Or Betray You

A 22-year-old Russian man recently got married to a pizza…yes, you read right. Pizza, that round flat bread usually topped with tomato sauce and cheese and baked in an oven. Except that this particular pizza wore a white wedding veil. The ceremony allegedly took place in the city of Tomsk, Russia, in a pizzeria with chefs and managers as witnesses because Russian authorities refused to officially register the marriage and a church also declined. Awon ti won ni she se! Lol
The unnamed groom says he decided to marry his favourite fast food after getting bored of the single life. “Love between two humans is a complicated wild thing,” he said. “Pizza, on the other hand, would not reject you or betray you, and speaking quite frankly and sincerely, I love it.” The restaurant even presented the groom and his ‘bride’ with an unofficial wedding certificate on a clipboard.

Japanese Man Gets Under A Storm Drain As Early As 3am Just To Film Under Women’s Skirt!

A Japanese man was arrested for the second time in three years for hiding under a storm drain to take photos of female pedestrians. Yasuomi Hirai, 28, allegedly hid in a sewer in Kobe for five hours in order to use his smartphone to film up women’s skirts.

Hirai was discovered when a woman noticed his hair sticking up from the grate and informed local police of his presence. Hirai admitted to the crime, telling police he had been hiding in the drain since 3 a.m.

Upon searching Hirai’s phone, police found several photos and videos of women’s underwear. He was convicted of the exact same crime in 2013 when he hid beneath a storm drain near Konan Women’s University. He will be charged to court.

$1,000 Reward For Information To Find Women Who Sexually Assaulted Man By Twerking

Washington, D.C., police are looking for two women who were seen twerking and groping a man in a local business on Oct. 7, CBS Local reports.

In the original video, which has since been made private but copies of it have popped up elsewhere, the women can be seen taking turns harassing the man, backing up into him, and touching him while he keeps trying to get away.

Local police have released the surveillance video of the crime in the hopes that someone can come forward and identify the two persons of interest who they say would be charged with third-degree sexual abuse.

They’re also offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information that could lead to the arrest.

Why Women Leave Men They Love, What Every Man Needs To Know

As a marriage counsellor working with men and women in relationship crisis, I help clients navigate numerous issues. While many situations are complex, there’s one profoundly simple truth that men need to know: Women leave men they love.

They feel terrible about it. It tears their heart out of them. But they do it. They rally their courage and their resources and they leave. Women leave men with whom they have children, homes and lives.

Women leave for many reasons, but there’s one reason in particular that haunts me, one that I want men to understand: Women leave because their man is not present. He’s working, golfing, gaming, watching TV, fishing…the list is long. These aren’t bad men. They’re good men. They’re good fathers. They support their family. They’re nice, likeable. But they take their wife for granted. They’re not present.

Women in my office tell me: “Someone could come and sweep me off my feet, right out from under my husband.” Sometimes the realization scares them. Sometimes it makes them cry.

Men, I’m not saying this is right or wrong. I’m telling you what I see. You can get as angry, hurt or indignant as you want. Your wife is not your property. She does not owe you her soul. You earn it. Day by day, moment after moment. You win her over first and foremost with your presence, your aliveness. She needs to feel it. She wants to talk to you about what matters to her and to feel that you’re listening to her. Not nodding politely. Not placating. Definitely not playing devil’s advocate.

She wants you to feel her. She doesn’t want absent-minded groping or quick sex. She wants to feel your passion. Can you feel your passion? Can you show her? Not just your passion for her or for sex; your passion for being alive. Do you have it? It’s the most attractive thing you possess. If you’ve lost it, what’s the reason? Where did it go? Find out. Find it. If you never discovered it, you are living on borrowed time.

If you think you’re present with your wife, try listening to her. Does your mind wander? Notice. When you look at her, how deeply do you see her? Look again, look deeper. Meet her gaze and keep it for longer than usual, longer than what’s comfortable. If she asks what you’re doing, tell her: “I’m looking into you. I want to see you deeply. I’m curious about who you are. After all these years I still want to know who you are, every day.” But only say it if you mean it, if you know it’s true.

Touch her with your full attention. Before you put your hand on her, notice the sensation in your hand. Notice what happens the moment you make contact. What happens in your body? What do you feel? Notice the most subtle sensations and emotions. (This is sometimes described as mindfulness.) Tell her everything you’re noticing, moment after moment.

But you’re busy. You don’t have time for all this. How about five minutes? Five minutes a day. Will you commit to that? I’m not talking about extravagant dinners or date nights (although these are fine too). I’m talking about five minutes a day to be completely present with the woman you share your life with. To be completely open– listening and seeing without judgement. Will you do that? I bet once you start, once you get a taste, you won’t want to stop.

Women Are Either Bisexual Or Gay But Never Straight, New Research Claims

Most women are either bisexual or gay but “never straight”, new research as shown.

Women who say they are straight are in fact aroused by videos of both naked men and naked women, whereas lesbians are much more attracted to the female form.

The study, led by Dr Gerulf Rieger from the Department of Psychology at the University of Essex, involved 345 women. They were shown videos and had their responses recorded, including whether their pupils dilated in response to sexual stimuli.

The results found that straight women were strongly sexually aroused by videos of both attractive men and attractive women, even though they said they were only interested in men.

This was in contrast to lesbians, who showed much stronger sexual responses to women than to men.

The researchers said lesbians were the most like men in their responses because it is usually men who show distinct sexual responses to their favourite sex.

Dr Rieger said: “Even though the majority of women identify as straight, our research clearly demonstrates that when it comes to what turns them on, they are either bisexual or gay, but never straight.”

Dr Rieger also said his study showed that lesbians who may dress in a more masculine way may not have more masculine behaviours.

Meet The Man With 106 Children

A man who has S3x with women to get them pregnant insists he’s just providing a service for those who are looking to create a family.
Ed who has 106 children – all of whom he knows barring just two – is a sperm donor who helps women who are struggling to conceive.

Known as ‘Ed the Inseminator’ the Holland native, who has triple the average sperm count, doesn’t charge the women and sees “creating a new life” as his reward.
Speaking with Jodie Marsh in her new TLC documentary, Jodie Marsh is Making Babies, Ed explains why women are queuing up to use his special service.

I’m a private sperm donor and I help people who cannot have children because they need a sperm cell and a bit of luck.
“Some women say to me, ‘I never grew up imagining a Prince Charming on a white horse with a syringe and I want the creation of my child to be a moment that I can remember as warm and intimate.’”

The revelation leaves model Jodie in utter shock as she says to the cameras:

“These women want to be impregnated by him, my head is going to explode I can’t understand this at the moment.”Today has completely blown my mind, I just refuse to believe as a woman you’d ever be that desperate to sleep with a total stranger, to give you a baby.””Before I met Ed, I genuinely thought this is just an excuse to have S3x with women. But equally I can see he puts up a good argument why it’s nicer to have S3x..

12 People Killed In Al-Shabaab Terrorist Attack On A Hotel In Mogadishu, Somalia

At least 12 people were killed in the Somali capital yesterday Sunday, November 1, after Al-Shabaab terrorist used a vehicle packed with explosives to blast their way inside Sahafi hotel in Mogadishu.
The Al-Qaeda linked Shabaab claimed responsibility for the dawn attack at the hotel, which is popular with members of parliament, government employees and businessmen.
“Attackers exploded a car bomb to gain entry before going inside… we have reports of 12 dead,” policeman Abdulrahid Dahir said.
Witnesses said they had seen several bodies of people killed in the initial blast, when a minibus packed with explosives was reportedly used to ram the gates of the hotel’s fortified compound, which was followed by a second heavy explosion.
Al-Shabaab commandos then stormed inside, with witnesses reporting intense gunfire and several loud blasts.
“There was a huge explosion and people around the entrance were killed,” said Mohamed Ismael, a witness, who was nearby when the attack began.
Al-Shabaab spokesperson Abdulaziz Abu Musab claimed the gunmen had overrun the hotel, which is situated near the major K4 roundabout.
“The mujahedeen fighters took control of the Sahafi hotel, where apostates and invading Christians were staying,” he said in a statement. “The mujahedeen are carrying out operations inside the hotel after the takeover.”
But the African Union mission in Somalia, Amisom, a 22,000-strong force fighting the Shabaab, said they fought alongside government troops and had secured the hotel.
“Somalia government forces and Amisom have taken control,” the AU force said in a brief statement.

In the latest report, government officials claims all the gunmen have been killed. Below are photos of Somalia MP Abi Abtidon and a former army commander General, Dhega-Badan killed in the hotel attack.

China To Replace One-Child Policy With Two-Child Policy

China will officially end its longstanding one-child policy and allow couples to have two children, state media reported.
The policy was first implemented in 1980 as a means of curbing the country’s rapidly growing population. Chinese families who disobey the policy can be subject to large fines.
China first announced changes to the law in 2013, allowing couples to have two children if one of the parents was an only child. Activists have campaigned against the policy in recent years amid fears that country’s aging population will leave huge gaps in the workforce.
China has not said when the new policy will go into effect.
Human rights groups have also opposed the policy over allegations that it has led to forced birth
control and abortions. The phenomenon was highlighted last month after a Chinese newspaper reported that one woman was being pressured into having an abortion when eight months pregnant her second child.
According to 2013 data, over 330 million abortions had been performed in China since the measures began. The government outlawed coerced abortions in 2002 but, as the Australian Broadcasting Corporation notes, it hasn’t taken significant steps to enforce it.
Other chief critics of the policy point to the large numbers of Chinese children who are abandoned by their parents — as many as 10,000 a year, according to Reuters. In one of the more dramatic cases, a newborn was rescued in August after reportedly being found in a toilet.
At least 600,000 children live in orphanages, according to state data. Those figures have disproportionally included girls and children with disabilities, CNN and Reuters report.

Read What Donald Trump Said About Women Who Wear Hijabs

Donald Trump has thoughts on Muslim women, and as you might expect given his previous comments on Islam, they are not very intelligent. Speaking at a New Hampshire rally on Monday, the GOP presidential candidate posited that Muslim women wear burkas because, that way, they “don’t have to put on makeup.”

According to the Daily Beast, Trump said that the United States should stop trying to export “freedom” in countries where intervention has not been successful, and should not attempt to liberate those who are required to wear burkas, a traditional head-to-toe covering commonly worn by Muslim women. Burkas have triggered debates in countries like France and Australia, and even within the Islamic world, where some argue that it is oppressive to women, while others say it is a cultural and religious custom meant to be preserved.?

Speaking of the spread of so-called freedom, Trump said, “I saw somebody say ‘we want it over there where the women don’t have to wear the you-know-what,'” gesticulating an outline of a burka with his hands.

He continued: “[Women] said, ‘We want to wear them, we’ve worn them for thousands of years. Why would anyone tell us not to?’ They want to!”

Whatever respect Trump was trying to demonstrate for Muslim women was undone by his underlying assumption that they are donning burkas not out of religious tradition but to get out of wearing makeup.

?”Fact is, it’s easier,” he said. “You don’t have to put on makeup. Look how beautiful everyone looks. Wouldn’t it be easier? Right? Wouldn’t that be easy?”

He didn’t stop there. He turned his imagined scenario into a joke by saying what it would be like if he wore a burka as a woman. “I’d be like, ‘I’m ready, darling, let’s go!” he said.

Which Bond Is The Baddest? This Graphic Shows How Many Kills, Women & Martini Each Version Got Through & The Answer Might Surprise You

Over the course of six decades and 24 films, Ian Fleming’s legendary character James Bond has become synonymous with drinking martinis, sleeping with women and shooting anyone who gets in his way. Now, to mark the release of Spectre, MailOnline compiled the number of kills, sexual partners and martinis drunk by each of the six Bonds to have played the famous character. Which actor is your favourite? Mine is Roger Moore…by far!

The results show George Lazenby’s 007 averaged the highest number of sexual partners. Although he only starred in one film – 1969’s On Her Majesty’s Secret Service – he slept with three women.
Sean Connery averaged 2.66 sexual conquests across six films, placing him second in this category.
Coming last in both the number of kills and sexual partners, it would appear Daniel Craig’s portrayal of Bond marks a shift away from the womanizing of his predecessors.
Craig’s recent suggestion Bond is ‘sexist’, ‘misogynistic’ and ‘very lonely’ would appear to reflect his portrayal.
Across the three movies (not including Spectre) which he has played 007, he averaged just 1.33 sexual partners a film – placing him last on the list of womanizing Bonds.
But where Craig did prove to be quintessential Bond was in the number of martinis consumed
He came tied in first place with Lazenby, Timothy Dalton and Pierce Brosnan as drinking one ‘shaken, not stirred’ martini in every film.
Perhaps surprisingly, Connery averaged just 0.5 martinis across the six films he starred in, while Roger Moore, who portrayed Bond seven times, could only muster a paltry 0.28.
Finally, those wondering which Bond has the most blood on their hands are left in no doubt – Pierce Brosnan’s 007 massacred 21.25 people per film.
In second place was Moore, with 7.71, followed by Connery, on 7.33. In last place was Craig, whose 007 makes an average of 2.66 kills per film.

Tears Flow As Transgender Woman Is Sent To An All-Men’s Prison

A transgender woman and a makeup artist, Tara Hudson, 26, has been sent to a men’s prison in a move her mother says will endanger and humiliate her.

Tara has lived as a woman all her adult life and has gone through six years of gender reconstruction surgery.

Magistrates sent Tara, who admitted to a bar assault on Boxing Day last year, to a male prison because her passport says she is still a male. Her mum, Jackie, said there’s nothing male about her and she feels the men are going to go after her. .
She says Tara’s doctor has even confirmed that she is now a woman. Tara was sentenced to 12 weeks inside the tough all-male Bristol prison.

She said: “There’s nothing male about her, nobody would know the difference. She looks like a woman. She’s gorgeous.

“We think it’s totally outrageous. I don’t think she will cope well at all. I just feel the men are going to go after her. It’s going to be humiliating.”

Tara was born Aaron. Jackie has now written to the court and the prison governor in a bid to overturn the decision, Bristolpost reports.

She says she just wants to get her daughter into a safe, female environment where she belongs and she will continue to fight the decision. She says her daughter still has the vestige remains of a penis, despite having 34EE breasts.

She said the hormone treatment has shrunken Tara’s manhood and she’s due to have it removed at some point. Tara regularly gets abuse for her gender status and is on a hormone replacement course as well as medication for depression.

U.S. Presidential Candidate, Ben Carson, Compares Women Who Get Abortions To Slave Owners

GOP presidential candidate Ben Carson, a man who wrongly believes the tragedy of the Holocaust might have been “greatly diminished” if the Jews had guns, is now comparing women who receive abortions to slave owners.

Carson, now the Iowa front-runner, made the comparison on NBC’s Meet the Press when he argued that abortion should be made illegal with few exceptions. He would “love” to see Roe v. Wade, the Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion in 1973, overturned. Carson opposes abortion even in instances of rape or incest, saying that ?there are “many stories of people who have led very useful lives who were the result of rape or incest.”? He’d only be willing to consider exceptions in the “?extraordinarily rare situation?” in which complications with pregnancy put the mother’s life in danger. According to the CDC, about 650 women die due to pregnancy or child-birth related complications annually, a number that would be much higher if women were denied abortions.

Carson believes that an infant’s life begins at conception — a view that has no scientific or factual backing, but has garnered major support on moral grounds among right-wing conservatives and religious groups. When Meet the Press host Chuck Todd asked whose rights are more important, the mother’s or the unborn child’s, Carson said the problem is that “the mother should not believe that the baby is her enemy and should not be looking to terminate her baby.”

Rosecollette I. Uzomba: Breaking From Emotional Depression; The Tale Of A Survivor

“I knew I was slipping when months ago, I considered stuff I wouldn’t even give a second thought. I went through a crisis that saw me spiraling down in fast motion. I made decisions that at the time seemed imperturbable. No one in my family or amongst my friends knew what I was going through at the time. I was strong on the outside but inside a ravaging fire was carting my soul away. I smiled, laughed, went for social gatherings, attended church services and was supposedly pretty normal. I knew I had to talk to someone, I knew I had to take a breather but each time I tried I went back deeper. Spoke to a friend once or twice but he clearly didn’t get the message because really I couldn’t even communicate what I was going through. I felt like I was on this high and I could just let the moment carry me as I voyaged to a world of oblivion.

Count down to two weeks ago, the walls came crashing in me and felt I was going to die of emotional and psychological suffocation. I knew I had to talk to someone. Someone I could trust, someone who knew who I was. I made one of the most important decisions of my life. I wasn’t prepared for the effect the decision would have on me. I thought I was messed up, but I was screwed. I have never been one to get depressed all my life but I didn’t just get depressed, I became suicidal. Wow! Yeah I didn’t believe it myself. I battled the strong urge of doing bodily harm to myself so it could divert my mind away from the pain and hurt I was experiencing. Saving grace was a dear long friend who never left my side. He reminded me who I was, convinced me I could be better and most of all love me even when I felt like the worst person on earth.

And then it happened, like a thunder bolt I was jolted to a celestial realization that I mustn’t stay down. Waves of strong emotions overtook me, I prayed and I wept my heart out. First I had to believe God still loves me and secondly I had to forgive myself. I looked in the mirror and said to me, “You are better than this shit. Don’t stay down, you can win this”. I had the redemption I sought for and I had never felt better. Still a work in progress but I am certain I will get there one day at a time”.

You see the world is not an easy place for weak people. You are going to mess up real bad, you are going to be mud splashed, ridiculed, cheated on, abused, and many other things but these things don’t define you. What defines you is how you handle these situations. You either let it break you until you are down and out or you break through it and claim victory. I keep saying this; people are going through so much that you have no idea of. It’s a crazy world out there.

Whoever you are, whatever you might be going through, don’t stay down. It’s going to get rough, tough decisions would be made, your heart will break into a thousand pieces, you would hate the image of you in the mirror, you would cry yourself to sleep, but don’t stop there. Break through it. When you realize that you deserve better, that would be a stepping stone to the best decisions of your life. Don’t care a tad what others think about you, what you have done or are passing through might be terrible and you feel like the worst person. People have done and gone through worse. Nobody is perfect, we slip now and then, and that’s life. The greatest defeat would be giving up on you. You can be better. Failure is temporal, giving up is permanent. Don’t let that be you.

Feminist slams Caitlyn Jenner,Says She Transitioned To Steal The ‘Kardashian’ Limelight’

Controversial feminist Germaine Greer claims Bruce Jenner had a sex-change to become Caitlyn so he could enjoy the same limelight as his Kardashian daughters.

The Australian hit out at the reality star after she was rumoured to be in the frame to be crowned Glamour’s Woman of the Year.Greer accused the magazine of ‘misogyny’ and said a transgender person should never be considered a better woman than someone born female.

Speaking on BBC2’s Newsnight programme, she said:

‘It seems to me that what was going on there was that he/she wanted the limelight that the other, female, members of the family were enjoying and has conquered it, just like that.”I think misogyny plays a really big part in all of this, that a manwho goes to these lengths to become a woman will be a better woman than someone who is just born a woman. ‘I’m not saying that people should not be allowed to go through that [sex change] procedure. What I’m saying is that it doesn’t make them a woman. It happens to be an opinion. It’s not a prohibition.’

Presidency Disowns Official Who Reportedly Said Buhari Is Shy Around Women

The Nigerian presidency has released the statement disowning an official who reportedly said President Muhammadu Buhari is shy around women.

Read full statement by Femi Adesina:

“The claim that President Muhammadu Buhari is shy around women, purportedly made by one Gideon Samani yesterday and published by a national newspaper today is totally fallacious.

“The subsequent attribution of the supposedly “low number” of female ministerial nominees to President Buhari’s alleged shyness around women is therefore baseless and a figment of the imagination of the said Mr. Samani, who was falsely described as the “Senior Special Assistant (Political Matters) to the President.

“The assertion by the alleged Presidential Aide that President Buhari is “very shy dealing with the opposite sex” because “he has been interacting mostly with men,” was received by the President with shock and consternation.

“For one thing, there is no Senior Special Assistant, Political Matters, in the office of the President for now and Mr. Samani who was said to have spoken as the Representative of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation at a public function yesterday, is not an aide of the President.

“Mr Samani is certainly not an official spokesman of the President. Therefore, he could not have spoken on behalf of President Buhari, who is the President of all Nigerians, men and women alike.

“President Buhari has a wife, many daughters and female relatives whom he loves dearly. He also had a mother that he adored. How then could he be shy in the company of women, to the point of allegedly not appointing them into public offices, on account of not being comfortable in their company?

“Nigerian women can be assured that the President holds them in the highest esteem and will always give them due consideration in the discharge of his official responsibilities.

“The statements attributed to Mr Samani are untrue and unauthorized. They should therefore be disregarded.”

Aunt Creates A Fake Facebook Profile To Check On Her Niece And Ultimately Saves Her Own Life

An Alabama aunt thought her 19-year-old niece was spending too much time on Facebook recently, so she created a fake profile and befriended her to see what she was up to online. But as AL.com reports, the answer she got was more troubling than anything she could have imagined.
The niece is Marissa Williams. Williams’ aunt was puzzled by the constant stream of strangers always at her house, so she created a profile posing as a boy named Tre ‘Topdog’ Ellis and befriended her niece and that may have ultimately saved her life.
On the first day the two talked online, Williams invited Ellis over to her house to get drunk with her. She sent the fictitious boy her phone number and home address, and said she would have sex with him if he agreed to pay her $50 cell phone bill. As troubling as that is, things were about to take a much darker turn.

Just a few days later, Williams told Ellis that she hated her family and wanted to get out of Alabama. She asked Ellis to come kidnap her and said he should shoot her aunt if she tried to stop him.

As time went on, the conversations grew increasingly unnerving. Williams told Ellis, who to her was a strange man she had never met, how to break into her aunt’s room so he could kill her aunt and her aunt’s fiancée. Williams asked Ellis if he could leave his car parked outside during the break-in so she could pack her belongings into it while he killed her entire family.

After hearing the plan, Williams’ aunt decided she’d had enough and called the Sheriff’s Department. Williams admitted to the plan, but says she did not actually mean for anyone to be killed. Nevertheless, she was arrested and charged with the solicitation of murder. She is being held on $30,000 bond.

Buhari Is Shy Interacting With Women- Aide

Some insight has been provided into President Muhammadu Buhari’s aversion for women and the low number of female appointments since he assumed office, with his Senior Special Assistant, Political Matters, Mr. Gideon Samani, disclosing that the president did not include many women in his cabinet because he is “very shy dealing with the opposite sex”.

Samani, who spoke on Thursday in Abuja at the fifth annual lecture series organised by the Change We Need in Nigeria group, said Buhari was used to interacting with men, but added quickly that the issue of gender inequality would be addressed by the president.

His statement contrasted with that of a ministerial nominee from Kogi State, Mr. James Ocholi (SAN), who in defence of the low representation of women in the federal cabinet, told the Senate on Thursday that Buhari had brought women into prominence, including the late Prof. Dora Akunyili.

According to Samani, “If you are close to Mr. President, you will know that he has the interest of the nation as his uppermost priority.  He did not intentionally marginalize women.

“It is just that Mr. President is shy with women. He has been interacting mostly with men. I can assure you that in the shortest time, this issue of gender inequality will be dealt with.”

British Woman Raped In Turkey Gets An Apology From The Rapist On Facebook

A British holidaymaker, Fern Westland, 20, claims she was raped on a beach by a waiter, who then apologised on Facebook.  Fern said she had befriended Sabri Demir during her stay in Alanya in Turkey last month. But she says the holiday turned to horror when he dragged her on to a beach and subjected her to a sustained sex attack, the Daily Record reports .

Fern said: “I want him off the streets to make sure he can’t target any other women like me.”

Fern said she was left further shaken when Demir messaged her, admitting the attack and even apologising.

She said she is too traumatised to leave her home in Fife.
She said:

“We had been at a local restaurant called Brothers and had been introduced to the owner’s brother and his friend, who agreed to show my friends and I to a club. “Everything had been fine until Sabri got drunk and started touching me inappropriately.

“I told my friends I wanted to leave the club as I didn’t want to be anywhere near him but he insisted on grabbing a lift home with us.”

Fern said her friend had gone into their hotel opposite the beach when she was attacked.
She said:

“Sabri grabbed me from behind and slammed his hand over my mouth. “I couldn’t breathe and was trying to push him off me but he dragged me along the sand before holding me down and raping me. “I was trying to scream but he just kept telling me to shut up.

“I was terrified and couldn’t breathe, I knew I had to get away from him. I was afraid I was going to die. “Then I managed to get him off me and I ran to my friend in the hotel.”

Fern claimed that hours later, Demir began to send her messages on FB. She said he told her:

“I’m really sorry. I don’t know why I did that. Please forgive me.”

Sabri Demir

Traumatised Fern only felt safe enough to talk to police when she returned to Scotland a week later.

She said: “I went in to complete shock. I was so afraid of having to fly home alone, I just kept quiet until we returned. Since then, the police have come to see me several times and have taken a statement. “They have taken pictures of my bruises on my body and are going to contact the Turkish authorities.”

Fern added: “I want something done about him. I know it happened in a different country and I know it may be a long process.”
Detective Sergeant Calum Lawrie, of Fife’s public protection unit, said: “On Thursday, 8 October, we received a report of the serious sexual assault of a 20-year-old woman that took place in Turkey on Friday, 25 September.

“We are conducting initial inquiries and all the information gathered will be provided to the Turkish authorities for them to progress the investigation.”

When Daily Record contacted Demir on Facebook, Demir replied:

“Sorry, I am so sorry. I did not do anything. I have not had sex with her.”

He then contacted Fern on Facebook, writing:

“Sorry. I am so sorry. “Why are you complaining about me? Why are you complaining to me for sex? You really did not complain to me.” “I don’t have sex with you.”

Fern demanded that Demir admit what he had done.
He responded: “I don’t have sex with you. No, just kiss you. “I’m not afraid.”

Victor Terhemba: The Fallacy About Feminism

In the present world order, the world thrives on hypocrisy and blackmail. We were all humans until …………

These days we are blackmailed with virtually everything, making the victim look like the aggressor. For example, because you are a born again Christian or an Alfa and somebody wrongs you, they don’t expect you to take offence and react because of your faith and when you do, they say you are a “fake” Christian or Muslim.

Of recent women have being using feminism to babooz and cajole the men into conforming to whims and caprices of feminism. Africa feminist look up to the western feminist activists for courage and direction forgetting that in Africa we’ve had 7 leaders who are/were women. One of the highest you can find anywhere else. Hypocrisy. Some ladies these days don’t feel the necessity to always cook for their husbands they expect the men to also cook. I know a young unmarried girl who said she and her husband will take turns at cooking or else she is not getting into the relationship. I meant to ask her if she meant she’s ready to get married at 70. They will preach feminism with so much vigour and tell us how ‘what a man can do, a woman can do better” yet I haven’t seen a lady who is ready to pay my groom price. Suggest to a lady if she will support her husband to sponsor their wedding and see how flatly she will tell you it’s the duty of the man. Ehen but I thought you want gender equality.

It is utterly appalling to note that women, now, would abdicate their natural duties and roles, and rather take up new roles they have designed for themselves. From the Christian perspective, when God created the woman, the woman was created as a helper to the man (Gen. 2:20-23) not as a slave as some women erroneously believe their God given duties is to slave for the man. The bible further implores the woman to be submissive to their husbands ….. (Not as slaves).

I find it quite worrying that women do not appreciate the very important roles they have to play in the lives of men. For illustration purpose, lets look at a house and consider the man to be the house itself and he woman as the pillars. Though the woman isn’t the house but the house cannot stand without the pillar; that’s how important women are .We watch a movie and applaud the superfluous performance of the actors and forget to acknowledge the rest of the crew who made the movie appear the way it is. We simply cant do without women, they are that important.

Behind every successful man is a strong woman, So the saying goes and its not a saying replete with illusive and grandiose facts. But if the women now want gender equality and stand on their own, then the men would be like a house built on sand and without pillars, and the women like pillars without a house then what is the use of the pillars. The talents of the pillars would, just be wasting like the servant in the parable of Jesus who buried his own tent instead of being a pillar standing alone why not remain a pillar who supports the house. Its illogical to imagine a pillar on a house.

The man has a duty to go out and search the land for food to feed his family, take care of their immediate needs, this was a task specifically assigned to Adam on behalf of men (Gen 3:17-19). In the sane society, we consider a man senile and useless if he leaves the responsibility of taking care of the home needs to his wife. The society frowns very much at this because this is not the order of things. If this is so then why do you feel it is right for a woman to neglect the immediate welfare of her home and concentrate her energy in doing what a should be doing? Marriage is a team so couples gotta live as a team. In a team everybody has his role to play.

I am not of the opinion that women belong to the kitchen or shouldn’t be allowed to work but live as full time housewives. No. That’s not what I mean, I believe a woman should also work so as to support the husband in hard times. It’s embarrassing that as a wife you have to ask your husband for every penny you want to spend. I just don’t feel wives should pick up career working jobs, such as doctors, sailors, pilots, etc. Those kind of jobs that are time and energy demanding. Then you leave your home at the mercy of domestic servants whose idea of a proper home might not correlate with yours. How about a self employed job or an 8 hour job, so you have time to still come back and look after your children and cook for them. I won’t advice any man to allow his wife be a full time housewife unless he’s stupendously rich and he can afford it or he has guaranteed source of income for a last time. Women as wives should work but not work as if it’s her duty to carter for the house.

On a last note, please ladies we love you guys very much, continue to be our mothers, friends, wives, sisters, girlfriends, don’t turn things up-side-down and become our husbands and fathers instead. I love you guys with everything inside of me. For any reservations reach me via my email or twitter handle. And for contributions just comment below.

Playback Nigeria Unveils “Voices” A Stage Play For Mental and Public Health Awareness

Playback Nigeria (@PlaybackNigeria) wishes to invite members of the public, stakeholders in Mental and Public Health to the premiere performance of VOICES – a stage play on Mental Health written and directed by Oluwadamilola Apotieri-Abdulai (@damilola_a) on Friday 30th of October, 2015 at Ladi Kwali Hall, Sheraton Hotels, Abuja. Time: 10am, 12pm, 2pm and 5pm.

dp

There are many people in Nigeria experiencing mental problems.  Mental health includes your emotional, psychological, and social well-being. It determines how you think, feel, and act. It also helps influence how you handle stress, relate to others, and make choices.

Community education on mental health is quite limited across the country.  This has resulted in a situation wherein children and adults with mental problems are labelled ‘mad’ and treated solely as persons requiring psychiatric care.  This has limited community care and support to such persons, who continue to be discriminated against, stigmatized and marginalized.  For children, this situation also increases risks of abuse and exploitation.

‘Voices’ represents two dimensions with respect to advovacy on Mental Health – Psychosocial Support (MH-PSS).   It signifies the need to bring to the forefront the voices of people experiencing mental problems, and those in their immediate social environment so that services are designed and delivered in a manner that is accessible and responsive to their needs.  It also touches on an important and sometimes neglected area in mental health – ‘the hearing of voices’ by some people with schizophrenia, one of the many mental problems that confront our communities today.  Hearing of voices is many times misunderstood and ignored, yet it provides an avenue for relating with and supporting such persons.  Voices can be critical or they can be complementary and many people may be able to find ways to live with them. It’s difficult to explain what it is like to hear voices, particularly if you’ve never heard voices yourself.

Art/Drama/Theatre is an active tool for engagement and for raising awareness around Mental Health Issues such as hearing voice.

Playback Nigeria, an art-based organisation in Nigeria have created a theatre piece titled ‘Voices’, a theatre piece that creates awareness on mental health.  The intention is to create awareness on the need to focus on the full range of MHPSS services needed to support persons with mental problems, and to engage with participants on how to support persons experiencing mental problems.

Partnerships to stage ‘Voices’

The staging of voices is being done through collaboration with World Health Organization (WHO), International Organization for Migration (IOM), and United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), as part of a broader advocacy initiate of the MHPSS Reference Group.

Master P Thrashes Kobe Bryant, Says Lamar Shouldn’t Have Married Khloe, Warns Her New BF James Harden

Rapper and record label executive Master P was cornered as he came out of a grocery store by TMZ crew and they asked him what he thought about Kobe Bryant and the Kardashians visit to Odom in the hospital. Master P thrashed Kobe Bryant, saying he was not there for his former team mate Lamar Odom when he needed him the most and is now showing public sympathy.

He said Odom had a huge heart and would do anything for anybody but his so called friends turned their backs on him when he needed them most. That none of them stepped up for Lamar when it counted. He also said the biggest mistake Lamar made was to marry Khloe and warned Khloe’s new BF, basketball player James Harden to watch himself or he’ll be the next victim. Read full report after the cut…

From TMZ:

Master P is coming out swingin’ at Kobe Bryant — saying Kobe’s public display of emotion over Lamar Odom is an ACT … because he had the chance to SAVE Lamar, but didn’t step up when it counted. Master P was charged up in the video — saying he was “like a mentor” to Odom and personally knew how serious Lamar was about wanting to return to the NBA.

He says Kobe was also aware of the situation and could have used his clout with the Lakers to get Odom back on the squad, but instead did nothing. “If Kobe was his friend … Kobe, like, owns the team. He could’ve got the man back on the team … that’s all he wanted.”

P also goes off on the NBA — saying Odom was “blackballed” from the league over his decision to be on “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” … because at the time, the NBA wanted nothing to do with them. As for Khloe, P says he truly believed Odom loved her — but made a mistake in marrying her because “he didn’t realize what he was getting into.” He concludes with a warning to James Harden.

How An Ex-Model’s Obsession For Big Booty Ruined Her Life

Read the story of an ex-model who was obsessed with big buttocks and wen the extra mile to get it, but instead got more than she bargained for.

It all began at an open model call for Wihelmina Models. Anivia Cruz-Dilworth was signed to the agency as a plus size model and from then on, worked to become successful in the industry.

Throughout her quest to become greater, her want to have a larger and curvier bottom became a definite desire. To gain immediate results, Anivia went to the dark side for black market injections, which eventually destroyed her body.

“I wanted a modeling contract. I started getting butt injections… And then, I couldn’t keep the weight on anymore. I started slimming down,” Anivia says. “The butt was so big and the body was getting so small. I wasn’t booking anymore jobs because I couldn’t fit anything.”

This wasn’t the works of a professional, Anivia shares, “I didn’t have the money, and I found someone that was affordable.”

Then, the liquid silicone-like substance that was illegally injected into Anivia’s rear began to spread elsewhere.

“I developed something called granuloma,” Anivia says. “When they were injecting me, the silicone migrated to different parts of my body. It went down; you know, it’s gravity.”

This migration has since caused severe damage, she adds.

“My nerves are damaged because of it. I have scar tissue inside of me. I have severe swelling,” Anivia says.

“I was maybe at about 42 inches around my hips, but now because of the swelling and inflammation, my hips are like a 47. This foreign substance is a part of me now.”

Credits: Huffingtonpost

It is excruciating pain,” Anivia says. “I never sleep a whole night through. I’m on pain meds every five hours.”

Unfortunately for the former model, she doesn’t see any end to her health struggles.

“I do know that I will never be 100 percent normal again,” Anivia says. “I’m accepting it. I have no other choice.”

If you don’t have it, you don’t have it. All ye Kim K wannabes, take note

Tope Adesipo: NANS; Can This Rotten Organization Be Redeemed?

The rot in NANS is huge and phenomenal. NANS has completely lost its legitimacy, reputation and mass base as actions in recent times have plunged it into. The most recent is the award it gave a wanted drug baron Buruji Kashamu .worst still, most students do not even know it exists anymore. For years now, successive leaderships of NANS have been completely anti-struggle and pro-state and sometimes attack dogs for politicians. In January 2012 during the widely-supported general strike and mass protest against fuel subsidy removal, NANS stood out shamefully on the side of Jonathan’s anti-people government. As if that was not enough, during the 2013 ASUU strike NANS again stood on the side of the government.  the struggles that have broken out over the past 10 years or more in the student movement over issues of fee hikes, victimization, welfare conditions and other education attacks, NANS has had little or no role to play. In many cases, these struggles have occurred because students on campuses organized or mobilized on their own to compel their local unions to fight. The condition of the student movement is evidently not alright. For close to 20 years the student movement has lacked a vibrant and fighting national leadership the ideological and political decay of the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS)is glaring to the least onlooker.the big question is  can the organization ever be revived?

The organization structure is splits into zones, Joint campus committee and Local unions (SUG) there are four zones, the National president is the head and first member of the Association. respective SUG presidents, forms the legislative arm called the senate of the Nans. one rather appalling side is the fact that while one expects the president of the Senate to be chosen from amongst the SUG presidents, an outsider according to the Nans Constitution is elected as Senate president. The senate are supposed to meet regularly under normal condition but as it is today, NANS senate meetings are hardly held. The conventions, which are now held in choice hotels instead of on campus, are theaters of war with different contestants heavily funded by parties and politicians arming cultists to gain victory. my experience in Uyo in 2012, was brutal. The convention was fixed for University of Uyo, we had all gathered at the campus. waiting to be accredited, we waited for 3 days to start accreditation. no communication on the reason why. After the frustration became so unbearable, we gathered a few progressive voices to protest the treatment, poor organization before we could start the convention on the 4th day. when we did start, we were told that we can not make use of the university of Uyo premises anymore. we had to make alternative arrangements to use the Uyo township stadium.
One thing which struck me at Uyo is the age of those parading at that convention as Nans stakeholders or something. they were in their 40s. some of us who were genuine students leaders and  young were few. genuine students or activists don’t want to attend because of the violent nature of NANS meetings and conventions. there were too many gun shot flying around. you can not be chicken hearted to be in that place at that time. Ordinarily given its complete disconnection from the rank and file, NANS should have ceased to exist altogether. However it has some unique features which have sustained it till now. This is the mutual interests of the NANS leadership and the some leadership of local unions in using the platform to negotiate for payment from governments and politicians. NANS is like a huge meal ticket. This is why despite its complete disconnection, NANS can still attract attendance of local unions at its convention most of whom are always mobilized with money and with each candidate providing hotel accommodation for their supporters.
But NANS cannot just be simplified to the question of genuine young students leaders taking the leadership alone. In any case, the rot in NANS is not just the product of the successive pro-state elements who have continuously occupied its leadership for years now. The enduring rot in NANS also has something to do with the ideological retreat in the student movement over the past 20 years which is a product of many factors including, but not restricted to, consistent attacks by the school management and government against student activists and students organizations. All this has caused low level of consciousness among students, a condition which best suits and sustains the  guys running  the local unions and NANS. The level of consciousness has to always guide and define what genuine activists can do and cannot, this means not tailing as well as not going beyond what present level of consciousness can achieve or sustain. Without building a movement around those issues that immediately affect students (like issues of inadequate hostel accommodation, fee hike, bad welfare conditions etc.) and linking this with the need to reclaim NANS, any efforts no matter how sincere to win leadership of NANS will end up in futility as most students will see it as the least important of their problems. Only an effort to reclaim NANS that is backed by mass arousal and mobilization of students can win and this is impossible without building a movement first around issues of education attacks from which students consciousness can be raised to comprehend the task of reclaiming NANS or forming a new platform.

Again, an association that is not financially independent can never be truly independent of politicians. NANS have no bank account. the Treasurer and the financial secretary exist as figure heads albeit to pursue money from politicians also. no annual due like it is collected by the local unions. the association rely on monies they can get from politicians to survive. in redeeming NANS, there has to be structural changes and this is where all students and even all former students leaders must take keen interest. Nans has to be funded independently. we must change the structure. let each students in Nigeria pay a token of 100 naira to the organization’s purse.
Simply fighting electorally to hijack leadership of NANS from these elements that see nothing wrong in giving a wanted drug baron an award for Man of the year or declaring an alternative faction is not enough to begin to revive the student movement. What is needed is patient work of building an independent mass movement from below that has roots in the rank and file and that can begin to challenge attacks on education, support pro people issues while linking this with the task of changing the leadership of NANS or building an alternative platform and also structural changes..

74 Year Old British Man Sentenced To 350 Lashes In Saudi Arabia For Making Wine

The children of a British man have called on David Cameron to intervene to save their father from being subjected to 350 lashes in Saudi Arabia. Karl Andree, 74, faces being publicly flogged as part of a punishment imposed after bottles of homemade wine were reportedly found last year in his car by Saudi police enforcing strict laws prohibiting alcohol.

The family of the oil executive, who is being held at Jeddah’s Briman prison, say he is already weak as a result of cancer and fear that the flogging will kill him.
They said in a statement reported by the Sun:

“Our father has given 25 years of his working life to Saudi Arabia, and this is how he is treated. Until his arrest, he has always been happy working there and felt safe.

“He is 74 years of age, has had cancer three times and his wife is dying in a home in the UK. He now needs medical care for his cancer and asthma, and there is no doubt in our mind that 350 lashes will kill him. We implore David Cameron to personally intervene and help get our father home. The Saudi government will only listen to him.”

The Foreign Office said:

“Our embassy staff are continuing to assist Mr Andree, including regular visits to check on his welfare, and frequent contact with his lawyer and family. Ministers and senior officials have raised Mr Andree’s case with the Saudi government and we are actively seeking his release as soon as possible.”

Andree’s three children, Hugh, 46, Kirsten, 45, and Simon, 33, are reported to have been lobbying discreetly for their father for more than a month but have now decided to go public.

Playboy Magazine Will No Longer Publish Images Of Nude Models

According to New York Times, last month, Cory Jones, a top editor at Playboy, went to see its founder Hugh Hefner at the Playboy Mansion and suggested that they should stop publishing images of naked women. Mr. Hefner, now 89, but still listed as editor in chief, agreed.
As part of a redesign that will be unveiled next March, the print edition of Playboy will still feature women in provocative poses. But they will no longer be fully nude.
Its executives admit that Playboy has been overtaken by the changes it pioneered.

“That battle has been fought and won,” said Scott Flanders, the company’s chief executive. “You’re now one click away from every sex act imaginable for free. And so it’s just passé at this juncture.”

For a generation of American men, reading Playboy was a cultural rite, an illicit thrill consumed by flashlight. Now every teenage boy has an Internet-connected phone instead. Pornographic magazines, even those as storied as Playboy, have lost their shock value, their commercial value and their cultural relevance.

Due to internet porn, Playboy’s circulation has dropped from 5.6 million in 1975 to about 800,000 now, according to the Alliance for Audited Media. Many of the magazines that followed it have disappeared.
‘You’re now one click away from every sex act imaginable for free. And so it’s just passé at this juncture,’ Playboy Enterprises CEO Scott Flanders told the Times.
Playboy’s website got rid of nudity last August, and the company says that traffic quadrupled to 16million as a result.
Future versions of Playboy will still feature pictures of women in ‘provocative poses’, but not full nudity and it is not yet known whether it will keep publishing a centerfold.
Hefner, who still personally selects all the nude spreads for the magazine, was not quoted in the Times piece and has not commented publicly on his Twitter account.
The company insists that its strategy is best for business.
‘Don’t get me wrong,’ editor Cory Jones said of the decision to dispense with nudity, ’12-year-old me is very disappointed in current me. But it’s the right thing to do

7 Romantic Gestures That Women Love

1. Open the door for her

Yes, I realize this is a long-honored and commonly recognized act of respect. However, you might be surprised at just how overlooked this simple gesture has become. As a relationship progresses and you become more comfortable with a person, it’s easy to let little things like this slip. But trust us, your stepping ahead of her to open the door, rather than walking in first and simply holding the door behind you, will remind her that you really do respect her and want to make her feel special.

2. Pick up the tab

No matter how independent a girl is, this old-school tradition is always greatly appreciated. I’m not saying that you should always be expected to pay throughout the course of a relationship, but picking up the check – whether she offers to split it or not – will remind a girl that, not only can you take care of her, but you’re financially stable, which can be hard to come by these days. “I’m super attracted to men who never offer to pay for dinner and can barely afford to buy me a drink at the bar” said no girl, ever.

3. Offer to drive

4. Be aware of her actions and feelings in public

While this should go without saying, sometimes, especially after two people have become comfortable with one another, it might be too easy to put her feelings on the back burner. Don’t let yourself become lazy and think that, just because you’ve established yourselves as a couple, all romance and consideration go out the window. The reality is, we notice more than you probably realize. If you’re sitting with a group of friends and your girl gets stuck on the end bar stool next to a creepy guy, switch seats with her without making it a big deal. She will be grateful that you’ve picked up on her discomfort and made an effort to make her happy.

5. Remind her that you feel lucky to have her

As ugly as it is, jealousy is a real emotion that many people feel at some point in a relationship. Whether you and your girlfriend have always struggled with jealousy issues, or you’re dating the coolest, most laid-back girl ever, being conscious of this reality will help make for a more honest relationship. If you’re at a party and have struck up a great conversation with another girl, a simple gesture, like putting your arm around your girlfriend’s waist when she walks up to join you, goes an incredibly long way.

6. Do chores without being asked

Even if you don’t live together, but you spend time at your girlfriend’s house, simple chores to help out around her place will definitely not go unnoticed. Next time you go to toss something in the trash and it’s full, take it out when you leave. Notice that she has a light out that needs changing? Make use of that tall height of yours and do it for her. Though she’s fully capable of doing little things around the house herself, it speaks volumes that you care enough to help her out from time to time.

7. Make plans and follow through

This should be common sense, though plans fall through the cracks all the time. If you mention doing something with a girl, actually make it happen. The prospect of seeing you again will excite her, so don’t get her hopes up or put her in the position of always being the one to coordinate your plans together.

Hopefully, after having read this, you’re not thinking that we’re telling you to take on every traditional, manly role there is. But, what we are saying, is that some of these time-honored acts of respect have stood the test of many a relationship, and for good reason. We’re lucky enough to live in an age where women are equals, but that doesn’t mean that we don’t expect to be treated like ladies. After all, think back to some of our most primal instincts. Knowing that a man can take care of me, protect me, and make me feel safe is something I’ll always admire and look for in a guy.

Kanye West Says He’s Been Discriminated Against By The Fashion Industry Because He Is Not Gay

In an interview with Showstudio, rapper Kanye West said he believes he’s being discriminated against by the fashion industry because he’s not gay as he tried to further his career in fashion.

“I feel like I got discriminated in fashion for not being gay,” the 38-year-old said during a two-hour live interview with SHOWstudio:

‘In music, you definitely get discriminated in music if you are gay. It takes amazing talents to break down barriers,’ West said.

‘Everyone thought that when Frank Ocean dropped that it was going to be bad for his career. I feel like it’s so cliché to speak about him as it relates to this subject, but there are people who broke the ground and he broke the ground. The people that break the stereotypes make history.’

‘The first thing I thought about was a black radio show host maybe possibly making jokes because the black culture is generally homophobic,’ said West.

‘Then it was like, “F–k what people say. F–k what people think.” I feel proud to be in a family that has so many people breaking ground for generations to come. I’m still getting acquainted to what’s politically correct [to say though].

Why Instagram Does Not Permit Display Of Women’s Nipples

If you post a photo on Instagram in which nipples are visible and those nipples belong to a woman — there’s a good chance it will be taken down. Just ask Rihanna, or Miley Cyrus, or Chelsea Handler, or Naomi Campbell.

After nearly a year of #FreeTheNipple backlash, Business Insider reports that Instagram CEO Kevin Systrom has finally explained their censorship: Apparently it’s all about Apple. In order to keep your app available for Apple smartphones, you have to abide by the company’s standards. Unless your app is specifically restricted for adults only, you can’t have any nudity, and Systrom wants to keep the app available to everyone. (Apple declined to comment to Business Insider.)

Instagram is “committed to artistic freedom,” he said, but “in order to scale effectively there are [some] tough calls.” Photos of breastfeeding women and mastectomy scars are OK, but other nipple photos aren’t. It’s a tough call, since it’s pretty easy to find naked photos on apps like Twitter and Snapchat, but Instagram is trying to play it safe. Looks like it’s up to Apple to truly #FreeTheNipple once and for all.

Man Arrested With 21 Female Genitalia In His Freezer Blames It On His Wife

A Danish gun shop owner who was arrested after 21 pieces of female genitalia were found in his freezer, has blamed it on his wife..
The man, identified as 63-year-old Peter Frederiksen, will appear on charges of sexual assault and violation of female genitals in a court in Bloemfontein, South Africa.
And he claims that his estranged wife, 28, wanted to sell the body parts in Lesotho – the tiny nation surrounded by South Africa, where he owns another gun shop.

He was arrested after his wife, who is from Lesotho, told police he drugged her before carrying out the procedure on her.But Frederiksen claims he had no idea what was in the freezer.

He told Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet:

“It is totally unfounded. It is my wife who uses the stuff and not me.”

He claims they are getting divorced.
When asked if he knew about the macabre haul, he said:

“No, no, no.”I told her many times that she had to pick up the stuff in the refrigerator.”

Cops also found pictures of female genital mutilation (FGM) at the property. He says he took the pictures in Lesotho, but he has not committed FGM – in South Africa.

I have never made any circumcision of any women here in South Africa,I myself have been involved in the things over in Lesotho.I have been allowed to take a lot of pictures in Lesotho in the mountains, where they circumcise women.”

Police are investigating who the other 20 body parts belong to.
Masilela Langa, a police spokesman, told Netwerk24:

“At this stage we do not know how many women there are, as there are many, many photos.
“We are engaged in research and questioning the man. It is as if he knew his victims, and knew where to look for them.”

Photos Of Muslim Women Being Whipped For Having Unmarried Sex Hit the Net

Photographs which show women dressed in white and sitting with their heads bowed as they wait their turn to be punished for having unmarried sex in Banda Aceh, Indonesia have just been released.

Three women and 14 men arrested for sexual offences and gambling were caned in front of a mosque following Friday prayer. In one photo, a woman can be seen kneeling on a red platform as her back is
whipped with a cane in front of guards and members of the public. Further images show men also being punished.

According to DailyMail, Aceh is the only province in the world’s most populous Muslim-majority country that is allowed to implement Islamic Sharia law. Although public whipping is a common punishment in the province, it is rare for women to be caned.

Earlier this year, Banda Aceh banned women from entertainment venues after 11pm unless they are accompanied by a husband or male family member. Aceh district has also banned unmarried men and women from riding together on motorbikes. Gay sex, gambling and drinking alcohol are already punishable by caning in Aceh.

In June, pictures emerged of three couples being publicly caned after the unmarried university students were caught spending time alone together. On that occasion, a crowd of about a thousand spectators shouted as the three men and three women, aged between 18 and 23, were lashed several times each with a rattan cane in a square in Banda Aceh.

A fourth woman, aged in her 40s, was also publicly caned for committing adultery. One of the women fainted after being caned four times and had to be carried off by officials.
Photos from Friday’s public caning continue below:

No Matter How Successful You Are, You Need a Husband – Charly Boy

The area father is of the opinion that societal compliance demands that women no matter how independent and successful they are should get married in other to become whole.

See what he wrote below…

“More women are career orientated and because of this, marriage somehow takes the back burner, however, no matter how successful a woman is in our society, irrespective of what she achieves in her career, or how financially independent she becomes, society still looks at it as incomplete. It is always expected that she crowns it all with a husband attached to her and where she fails to get married, her success is always tagged with a clause. Marriage is a Nobel institution even though we don’t think it’s meant for everybody. So what so you think, does marriage validate a woman, and do parental and societal pressure create this need for validation…… Share your thoughts.”

Caitlyn Jenner Finally Speaks About The Car Accident And Fear Of Going To Men’s Jail

Caitlyn Jenner is finally talking about the February multi-vehicle accident on California’s Pacific Coast Highway that left one woman dead as she spoke with Today’s Matt Lauer.

Caitlyn could face a misdemeanor manslaughter charge for the collision, pending the decision of Los Angeles County prosecutors and says to Matt:

“I remember it very little, I remember it happening and that’s about it. A tragedy like this, you’ll never get over it. You just learn to live with it the best you possibly can.”

The charge carries a potential one-year jail sentence, but legal experts told the Los Angeles Times that incarceration is unlikely for Jenner, who was not under the influence of drugs or alcohol while driving.

The star also refuted claims that she was speeding during the accident saying: “I was under the speed limit, I was going 46 in a 50 – my air bag didn’t even go off”.

Jenner also told Lauer that her team is making sure that if she does end up getting sentenced to jail time, it won’t be in a men’s correctional facility.

“The media wants that picture, don’t they,” Jenner said. “That is the worst case scenario. I will say the men’s county jail, it is an enormous problem that they would put trans women in a men’s county jail.”

@Lanre_Olagunju: A Tweet Might Just Save a Newborn’s Life

From all indications the Social Media has definitely come to stay. New media as it is fondly called is not just changing the way we live daily, many of its advantages and success stories live with us today. Social Media is not just changing how we buy and sell, it is redefining the concept of market. Social Media is gradually influencing election processes, and more importantly how elections will be conducted in few years’ time.

In terms of a reaching the world with a message in the shortest time possible, the word “impossible” has totally lost its essence in this regard. Gone are the days when you would have to wait till daybreak or evening to get updates on National Newspapers. We now live in a new era that mocks the jet age and most of what it stood for.

But what we make of the tool – social media-  is practically at the height of our readiness, doggedness and knowledge of what it can provide. Many who prefer to focus on the negatives of social media can remain in the dark as long as they want. There is practically no tool in the world that can’t be used for either good or bad. Is it not the same water wey no get enemy that floods houses, states and communities? Come on! The same fire that purifies gold is what destroys live and property. A rifle or pistol in the hand of a robber or terrorist serves an entirely different purpose in the hand of a police or soldier. That’s how social media is. At the end, a tool is just as good as what you make of it.

The transformative power of social media as it concerns the health sector was well exercised by Nigerians when the people of Bagega in Zamfara State were hit with lead poisoning as a result of wrong mining practices. In January 2013, Nigerians with the hash tag #SaveBagega on Twitter showed that citizens could get the government to act as fast as it should at a particular point in time.

Doctors Without Borders were ready to treat about 1500 children who were affected by lead poisoning; but before the treatment, remediation had to be done so the treatment can be effective. With an intensive and persistent campaign on Twitter and Facebook, young people with the help of social media were able to get the Nigerian government to release funds for remediation, so treatment for 1500 kids in Zamfara could commence. Bagega had been waiting for remediation since 2010 after 400 kids died and thousands were poisoned. Help never came until January 2013 when Nigerians said “enough is enough” not with guns or bullets, just an hashtag. That’s how effective social media can be when we are determined to engage it wisely.

It is surprising to realize that many knowledgeable Nigerians aren’t even aware that Nigeria presently accounts for the second highest number of annual maternal mortality in the world after India. Maternal deaths in Nigeria alone accounts for 14% of maternal mortality globally. India accounts for 17%, though India’s population is more than seven times that of Nigeria.

If we don’t collectively see this as a threat to the wellbeing of women and newborns, then what else would ever bother us as a people? The most frightening part is that we rarely see the deaths of women who die daily as an issue that demands national attention. No, we don’t! We are not concerned enough.

This is probably because we see such deaths as mere statistics. If we were any bothered, maybe we would have forced our politicians to get the right policies and result since that seems to be the language they understand best. Maybe we would have asked them some tough questions that puts a demand on accountability in this regard.

It is easy to point out that during elections, we rarely hear politicians promise to improve on the health of women and children, essentially as it concerns maternal, newborn and child health issues. They would rather promise; to improve power, provide good roads, free WIFI and we watch them say little or absolutely nothing about the shameful reality that of all the women who die globally during pregnancy or childbirth, 14% of them are Nigerian women. We must demand accountability from President Buhari and his team, most especially when he announces the new Minister of Health, regardless of which part of Nigeria he is from.

The World Bank recently approved $500 million dollars to improve maternal and child health in Nigeria, we all have to keep an eye and keep asking questions to ensure accountability. This mustn’t be another case of corruption as usual as this is not the first time funds would be made available by international agencies or donors. Media attention is also crucial to holding policymakers accountable so as to equitably maximize resources allocated for Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) cum Maternal, Newborn and Child Health (MNCH) projects.

In every sense, we need to take issues that concerns Nigerian women seriously; not just the ones who live in cities who aren’t actually immune to avoidable and treatable pregnancy related complications, but also those helpless ones in villages. Those deaths aren’t even recorded, probably because no one cares. Even in a state like Lagos, I get to hear of cases of deaths that are avoidable, some due to lack of resources on the part of the mother, lack of blood in some hospitals, and the most painful part which is gradually becoming rampant… errors caused by medical experts.

Something has to give. No community, country or continent looks away at the agony of women and newborns yet expect to prosper.

It might be difficult to see how each Nigerian would practically solve this huge challenge; but I challenge all advocates across Africa to demand more from government. That was what saved Bagega. We can possibly save more women and children with the same approach. Many of the maternal mortality cases are preventable, yet these deaths comes with high costs in form of income and productivity loss and a whole lot of other social-economic pains attached to such loss. When a mother dies, the child’s health, education, growth and general wellbeing suffers. In fact, the pain gets to the entire community directly or otherwise.

We can also demand more from health agencies. It is very important that they carry Sexual & Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) and Maternal, Newborn & Child Health (MNCH) advocates, journalists and social media influencers along with the policies that must be properly addressed in other to shape public awareness and opinion.
A good strategy to motivate, create and sustain interest among journalists and media influencers is to provide them with data, trainings and seminars which would intelligently aid their reportage. National issues only receive attention when they affect a large number of people or when citizens realize that inactions will lead to nationwide setback.

Across the globe, about 1,500 women die on a daily basis as a result of pregnancy and childbirth related complications. 98% of these deaths occur in developing countries. The giant of Africa is responsible for 14%. Yearly, an average of 15 million women who survive pregnancy and childbirth complications develop physical and mental disabilities thereafter. Bloggers, social media experts and all other media experts have an active role to play in ensuring that we reduce the number of women who lose their lives while giving birth across the continent of Africa. Maternal health advocate should be encouraged to extend their advocacy to radio as this media tool remains a vital source to educate and sensitize women on sexual health related issues. Unfortunately, many advocates get discouraged with the exorbitant cost of airtime. Media houses should bear in mind that sometimes we make money, other times we save and preserve lives with money and available resources.

there’s no way in hell that I will ever make another mistake like that again.”

India Lifts Ban On Pornography After Public Backlash And Outcry

India is partially lifting their ban on online pornography after public outrage over this past weekend’s clampdown on 857 websites, according to Indian news outlets on Tuesday

Follow the jump to see their arguments and the full story:

The government will however continue to block sites that promote child pornography.

According to the IT Minister, Ravi Shankar Prasad, who spoke to India Today TV, he said: “A new notification will be issued shortly. The ban will be partially withdrawn. Sites that do not promote child porn will be unbanned,”

India had ordered Internet service providers to block the 857 websites starting Friday, deeming their
content “immoral and indecent.” The move came after the nation’s supreme court ruled last month that banning pornographic websites is not its job, but the elected government.

The ban drew sharp criticism across the nation, including from Bollywood celebrities. Experts warned the move could merely result in a boom for the adult porn industry.

Mahesh Bhatt, a Bollywood filmmaker, told the Washington Post saying: “Banning porn is an age-old trick that many countries have tried. It will always find many supporters.”

Also, many accused the government of moral policing and infringing on personal freedoms, according India Today.

“Don’t ban porn. Ban men ogling, leering, brushing past, groping, molesting, abusing, humiliating and raping women. Ban non-consent. Not sex,” author Chetan Bhagat said on Twitter. “Porn ban is anti-freedom, impractical, not enforceable. Politically not very smart too. avoidable. Let’s not manage people’s private lives,” he added.

India has the second-largest population of Internet users in the world after China, the Post reported. India is expected to have more than 500 million Internet users by 2017, compared with about 350 million now, according to a report by the Internet and Mobile Association of India, the Post reported.

Bride Asks Her 89 Year Old Grandmother To Be Her Bridesmaid, And She Steals The Show!

89 year old Elizabeth Govern, called Nana Betty by her family, was asked by her granddaughter Christine to be one of her four bridesmaids – and Nana Betty stole the show. The happy bride shared the photos of her grandma, who she calls her BFF, on her Facebook page and the photos went viral. Most said they haven’t seen any woman this age as a bridesmaid and were thrilled to see it.

Christine said her gran was the life and soul of the wedding party and gave everyone a great time.

“She had the entire wedding party laughing with her words of wisdom and funny comments throughout the day. Nana got on the party bus with the rest of the wedding party instead of ‘going home to rest’ but did not tell my mom (her daughter). She also danced the entire night away, including an adorable moment when she and my husband’s grandmother, Bellsie, danced together. It was amazing.” Christine said.

“I Would Rather Burn In Hell Than Worship A Monster Called God” – Stephanie Rose

Nigerian transgender Stephanie Rose, is full of hatred for the Lord our God and is coming out again to insult him and call him a monster.

Stephanie, who was born a man named Dapo Adaralegbe, was expelled from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, where she was studying Law due to her homosexuality. She later underwent surgery to become a woman.

In her latest rant, she has taken to her Facebook page to share a post by an avowed atheist, Amenhotep Kingsagreed, where she thinks that God is the devil himself.

Follow the jump to see what she says about God and why she believes God is the devil as she quotes from the Bible. (This is one of those times you’ll see why our people say “even devil know Bible pass any man”). See her Biblical claims after the CUT:

“I’m amazed that people who claim to read and worship the words of the bible tend to be so ignorant about just what the bible says. I wonder how many of them know that god is quoted many times in the bible admitting that he is in fact evil. I will list those passages below.
Isaiah 45:7 I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.
Exodus 32:14 And the LORD repented of the evil which he thought to do unto his people.
Joshua 23:15 Therefore it shall come to pass, that as all good things are come upon you, which the LORD your God promised you; so shall the LORD bring upon you all evil things.
Judges 9:23 Then God sent an evil spirit
1 Samuel 16:14 But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.
2 Samuel 12:11 Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will raise up evil against thee out of thine own house
1 Kings 9:9 …therefore hath the LORD brought upon them all this evil.
1 Kings 14:10 Therefore, behold, I will bring evil upon the house of Jeroboam
2 Kings 6:33 …Behold, this evil is of the LORD;
2 Kings 21:12 Therefore thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Behold, I am bringing such evil upon Jerusalem and Judah, that whosoever heareth of it, both his ears shall tingle.
2 Kings 22:16 Thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon this place
Nehemiah 13:18 Did not your fathers thus, and did not our God bring all this evil upon us, and upon this city?
Jeremiah 4:6 Set up the standard toward Zion: retire, stay not: for I will bring evil from the north, and a great destruction.
Jeremiah 6:19 Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people
Jeremiah 11:11 Therefore thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will bring evil upon them
Jeremiah 25:29 For, lo, I begin to bring evil
Jeremiah 35:17 Therefore thus saith the LORD God of hosts, the God of Israel; Behold, I will bring upon Judah and upon all the inhabitants of Jerusalem all the evil that I have pronounced against them:
Jeremiah 44:2 Thus saith the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel; Ye have seen all the evil that I have brought upon Jerusalem, and upon all the cities of Judah
Jeremiah 45:5 …behold, I will bring evil upon all flesh, saith the LORD
Jeremiah 49:37 …I will bring evil upon them, even my fierce anger, saith the LORD; and I will send the sword after them, till I have consumed them
Micah 1:12 …. evil came down from the LORD
Micah 2:3 Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, against this family do I devise an evil
So as you can see, Jehovah god admits that it is he that does all evil, not some “fallen angel” who gets the blame.
The reason Satan gets the blame is solely so that the Christians can convince themselves that it’s not god doing it. But if you claim that god is not capable of committing evil acts then you are “giving false witness” and committing “blasphemy” against god and his character.
Now I ask you, why do you feel that this “god” is deserving of worship? Even if you believe that he does exist, after all he has done and all he admits, why would you want to devote your life to him? Of all the men who have lived not one of them can come close to the evil that this god is. No one has caused as much death and destruction that this god claims to have done.
It’s funny, the relationship that people have with this god reminds me of battered wife syndrome. He’ll beat you into submission, threaten you with terrible punishments if you don’t comply, convince you that you deserve that horrible treatment because your bad deep inside, then tell you he only does it because he loves you. Actually it’s not funny after all. It’s pretty damn sad.
Which ‘other uncontrollable devil’ is humanity searching for when the creator and inventor of evil has declared itself? The position of evil can not be checked because the same God is the creator and inventor of all evil.
Evil started from the same hopeless and foolish God because such useless and senseless God is evil. They do not go to Heaven and they do not go to Hell fire, the same God is the exact devil that deceived all religions about an untrue Heaven and untrue Hell fire!
Hell fire is a fallacy of imagination. NO BODY GOES TO HELL FIRE.”

Rose also has a book she has written titled: “NO BODY GOES TO HEAVEN BECAUSE NO BODY GOES TO HELL FIRE”.

Church General Overseer Converts To Islam In Ekiti And Gives Reasons

Says strange man in dreams convinced him to do so

In Nigeria, particularly among the Yoruba tribe where religious tolerance is most noticed, it is a regular occurrence to see muslims convert to Christianity. Hardly do we see a Christian turn to Islam. However, a man, former Pastor Adekunle Afolabi, founder and leader of Apata Adura Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Ekute, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, broke that jinx recently. He converted fully to Islam after practising Christianity for over 25 years and even risen to become the General Overseer of his church, which have branches across Ekiti State.

Now known and addressed as Alfa Abubakar Afolabi, the 45-year-old man attributed his conversion to a divine encounter he had with a strange man in white in his dreams who showed him certain flaws
in Christianity and convinced him that indeed Islam is the only religion that leads to heaven.

In this interview with WOLE BALOGUN at his Ekute, Ado Ekiti residence, Alfa Abubakar spoke extensively on his experience. Excerpts:

How did your journey to Islam begin?

I am former Pastor Adekunle Afolabi, General Overseer and founder of Apata Adura Cherubim and Seraphim in Ekute, Ado-Ekiti, I have been a believer in Christianity for 25 years. I have been tutored at the Deeper Life Bible Church school in Ayobo, Lagos and my parents were attending the Assemblies of God Church. I later left the church to set up a C &S church where I became a Shepherd because God always reveals things to me either by vision or by dreams and to be candid, God reveals things to me and when God wants to make a confirmation of them, they always come to pass.

The spiritual gift has enhanced my career as a cleric in Christianity such that my church grew so fast that by the time we were celebrating fifth anniversary, the church has had branches across the state and over 150 members attended my headquarters in Ekute alone. I have also become the state chairman of the association of our church unification in Ado.

I was preparing for the anniversary when I started having dreams that eventually led to my conversion. At first in the dreams, I noticed my members were sitting on the floor in the church and some of them were covering their heads. I also saw that people were washing their hands and feet before entering the church just like it is done in Islam.

In my canal thinking, I thought God wanted us to be washing our hands and feet before entering the church and I instructed my members to be doing so, some did, while others didn’t.

I remembered when I was living in Ikere, around 1986, I used to attend a church then called the Church of Iya Olomi (Woman of holy water) in Ikere. There was an earthen pot in the church where we washed our legs before attending the church so I was thinking that may be that is what God wanted me to do. I went to buy an earthen pot in Ijebu and put it at the back of the church but something strange happened the day I did that, a heavy rain fell and erosion poured sand into the earthen pot that was filled with water and all the perfume and spiritual arrangement I put inside the water was spoilt. Then, I went to clean the pot and put another clean water again. To my surprise, when I was coming home I met little children at the earthen pot fetching water from it like a well. So, to avoid trouble in the neighbourhood, I dug out the earthen pot and made up my mind that it seems God is against what am doing.

In another of my dream, I saw women in Hijab in the church, so on one Sunday I informed my congregation that at the forthcoming anniversary, all women should come with hijab. Only 10 people adhered to the instruction during that period but I was yet to be converted.

After that, certain strange things began to happen in my dreams, I would notice that someone comes to me, wakes me up and then take me on a journey to somewhere, there the man will ask a question: he said do I know if the way I was taking in life is the right one?,I told him, yes since I do pray to God and he answers me. But he asked me again that what makes me believe I was right and I told him that since I can pray to God and he answers me. He asked me again that do I believe that God could write Quran in Arabic to people for them to know his teachings, I said to him I don’t know but knew that some people use Arabic as language. He then called my attention to my left hand, there he told me to open my palm which I did and he asked if I knew that the first line in my left hand stands for eight and the second stands for one which go for 81. He added that on my right hand, the first line stands for one in Arabic and the other stands for eight and that if these are added together, they are equal to 99 which stands for the ninety nine names of Allah. He said this means that Allah wrote his name on the palms of all human beings in Arabic.

I was baffled because I never had any knowledge in the Quran, so I decided to go and research on it. It got to a point that my wife and I started attending the mosque together and one day, an alhaji around my neighbourhood saw me coming out of the mosque, he was so surprised and challenged me and I told him everything that occurred to me which led me to the mosque. He told me that I must not keep this to myself so he advised me to keep walking in God’s way in Islam and stop preaching in the church but call on Imam or alfa to come and preach.

Eventually, I ended up inviting an Imam, a muslim cleric to preach in my church during our fifth anniversary last year. The church members were surprised as the Imam preached.

After the anniversary, the same man came to me in my dreams and tasked me on payment of tithe in my church, saying I should stop collecting it. So, the next Sunday I stopped collecting tithes from the congregation.

Of course, the church members were not all happy, some went to another church because they can’t continue with this type of doctrine and that was how the number of the congregation continued to reduce day after day.

I nearly got fed up, but I made up my mind that I won’t go back on my decision and religion and when it got to January ending, I made up my mind fully to convert to Islam.

As a prophet in C and S, you would be doing some spiritual work for people, now that you are now in Islam, do you still do the works?

Rendering spiritual help is given to all men by God for their own use, so the wisdom of it is given to me by God, he didn’t take it away from me because that is different from religion. It is a way of livelihood so, if any one falls sick, wants to give birth, is having stillbirth, stagnation at work, that is all what we use that for. He showed me places in the Bible where many prayed to God in Islamic way. By this praying, I mean to kneel down and bow down your head and face down.

How have your wife, relatives, friends and in-laws reacted to your newfound faith?

They have always known me to be truthful with whatever I’m doing and they respect me for that and also respect my decision, so there hasn’t been any cause for alarm.

The only person who at a time opposed it was my wife because she was a Christian when I married her. She said she would quit the marriage and I said it is okay and that I don’t want to die a Christian but would rather die a Muslim. But after a while, she discovered that we haven’t been worshipping any idol, that we have always been worshipping God. She came back and accepted me this way. Also, my children are supporting me and have joined me.

What about those who were your colleagues when you were in Christianity as a church leader?

They all left me the day I invited an Imam to come and preach in my church. That day of our anniversary. I have also been relieved of my position as president of our association. The only thing the pastors do once in a while is to call to ask me if indeed I still want to continue in the new faith and I usually confirm it. As for friends, some have stayed while others have left.

Have you now become a leader in Islamic faith?

No, I am still learning to be deeper in Islam. I had over 150 members in the church before but they have all left now. My church before has now been converted to a mosque and it is being attended by many muslims now that I cannot even count them. An Imam is currently running the mosque while I am also there as an Alfa, learning more about the religion.

How many wives have you now?

The Bible does not oppose marrying more than one wife. It says if you want to marry another wife, you must ensure that you treat her the same way you are treating the ones or one you have already married. The Bible only says that for those who want to become Bishops, they should marry only one.

Now you have only one wife, is it likely that you will marry another wife?

No. I have married some women before. Now, I cannot marry another woman. That is not in my plans. My first born is about 22 years old.

You know that there is this common opinion that religion does not really matter, whether you are a Christian, Muslim or traditionalist, your relationship with God matters most in getting to heaven, what is your view on this saying?

All I can say is that anyone who wants to go to heaven should just accept Islam peacefully. Islam to me now, is the only way to God. No other way.

You have spoken against collecting tithes, and said you have stopped collecting tithes from your members, are you concerned that you may not get money to run the mosque since that is a major way to get money?

All I can say about that is that God’s words advise that when we have, we should be grateful and also when we do not. Before I stopped collecting tithes, I have members who usually give me about N20 000 or N10 000 but I still have to stop collecting it in obedience to God. Now, I don’t collect tithe from anyone but Islam permits people to do saka, which is just a voluntary attitude to contribute to someone’s or an alfa’ or just extend mercy or what we call Sadaka.

Quality Husbands Will Be Scarce In Nigeria In The Near Future – Catholic Women’s Group Leader Says

According to the National President of the Council of Catholic Women Organisation of Nigeria,Chief Felicia Onyeabo, there will be a scarcity of quality husbands in Nigeria in the near future following the increasing number of male dropouts from schools in the last 10 years. Mrs Onyeabo said this at a press briefing to herald the inauguration of a catholic school in Abuja last week

“The future of this country is going to be very bleak for the male-child. How many girls do you see hawking clothes? Go to Onitsha, they are all men. We have looked round and have come to see that there is a neglect of boys in education. Who are the armed robbers on the streets? They are mostly the boys. Let us concentrate on training boys.
The NCCWO feels that a vacuum is being created, and very soon, we shall be faced with a situation where our educated girl-child will not find a corresponding suitable boy-child to marry. This is because more boys drop out of school, apparently because the high rate of unemployed youth discourages our young boys from appreciating the need to be educated. The NCCWO also considers the fact that in the near future, quality husbands will become extremely scarce, with too many highly educated women looking for husbands, and settling for anyhow husbands, just to get married. The result of this type of situation is better imagined and will not augur well for Nigerians.”she said.

Soldiers In Aba Kill Kidnapper, Arrest 2 Members Of His Gang, Including A Lady

Soldiers of the 144 Battalion of the Nigerian Army, stationed at Asa in Ukwa West local government area of Abia State have shot dead a kidnapper, arrested two members of his gang, including a lady, and rescued a female victim.

Vanguard gathered that an Aba-based business woman, Mrs. Rita Anaekwe, was last Sunday night abducted at her residence on Anaekwe Street, Umuleta village, Obinkwu in Ukwa West local
government area.

Family sources said the hoodlums gained entry into the house through the back fence and shot dead the family dog before gaining access to the main building.

The sources hinted that when the kidnappers got to the lady, whose husband was said to have traveled, they demanded for cash, gold bracelets and other valuables from the woman which she gave them. After collecting the items, the hoodlums were also said to have demanded for the key of the family’s Nissan Pathfinder Sport Utility Vehicle, SUV, with which they whisked the woman away.

News reaching KDB say Soldiers of the 144 battalion who were alerted to the incident, trailed the kidnappers to their hideout.
In the ensuing gun duel, one of the kidnappers was reportedly shot dead, while two others, including a female member, was arrested.

A military source said Anaekwe was rescued unhurt, while her vehicle was later recovered by men of the Police Area Command, Aba.

Speaking with journalists, Anaekwe commended the efforts of the soldiers in rescuing her and the vehicle a few hours after the incident.

Dozens Of Women, Children Freed From Boko Haram By Nigerian Army

Nigeria’s army said Tuesday it had liberated 30 hostages held by Boko Haram, including 21 children and seven women, amid ongoing offensives against the extremists in the country’s northeast.

Army officials said the operation to free the captives took place in the town of Dikwa in Borno State, which had fallen to Boko Haram twice since April, and was recaptured by Nigerian troops last week.

“As a result of ongoing operations under the aegis of Operation Lafiya Dole to clear Dikwa and its environs from Boko Haram… (the) Nigerian Army yesterday rescued 30 persons from the hands of the terrorists,” army spokesman Sani Usman said in a statement.

“They include 21 children and a six-day-old infant, seven women including three nursing mothers, and two elderly male adults,” he said.

Dikwa is located around 90 kilometres (56 miles) east of Borno state capital Maiduguri.

35 Of Bill Cosby’s Alleged Rape Victims Line Up For The First Time #Photo

If Bill Cosby really raped all of these women and more, then something must have been wrong in that man’s mind.

Thirty-five of Bill Cosby’s alleged sexual molestation victims have posed for a photograph on the front of the July 27 edition of New York magazine, giving their accounts of what happened to them at the hands of the now controversial “Cosby Show” star.

Coming into the light for the first time together, the publication lines the 35 women up on chairs in a visually shocking front cover snap, and displays interviews with the women in question within the
pages of the magazine.

Noreen Malone wrote within the mag: “”The group of women Cosby allegedly assaulted functions almost as a longitudinal study – both for how an individual woman, on her own, deals with such trauma over the decades and for how the culture at large has grappled with rape over the same time period. In the ’60s, when the first alleged assault by Cosby occurred, rape was considered to be something violent committed by a stranger … But among younger women, and particularly online, there is a strong sense now that speaking up is the only thing to do, that a woman claiming her own victimhood is more powerful than any other weapon in the fight against rape.”

The testimony and photographs that appear in the mag display in no uncertain terms, the scale and diversity of the alleged abuse, with alleged victims ranging in age from their early 20s to 80, including women who were Playboy bunnies, TV writers, journalists and waitresses.

“I went into this thinking he was going to be my father. To wake up half-dressed and raped by the man that said he was going to love me like a father? That’s pretty sick,” one of the women, Barbara Bowman, 48, said of her experiences with Cosby in the ’80s. “I felt like a prisoner; I felt I was kidnapped and hiding in plain sight. I could have walked down any street of Manhattan at any time and said, ‘I’m being raped and drugged by Bill Cosby,’ but who the hell would have believed me? Nobody, nobody.”

Another victim speaking up in the mag: Cosby Show writer Sammie Mays, 57, claims an encounter with Cosby in 1987 derailed her life. “When I see Jell-O pudding, it comes flooding back,” she told the magazine. “Bill Cosby, that encounter, that one time, played a major factor in the direction my life took, toward the dark side.”

The publication is available for purchase now, and you can also see video interviews with the women on the magazine’s website.

35 doesn’t sound that much until you see a picture like the one at the top with 35 women sitting down, claiming they have been raped by the same man.

“I Have No Close Friend In The Nollywood Industry” – Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde

Many movie fans might be shocked to learn that, although she is quite popular among her colleagues, star actress Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde has no friend in Nollywood. The actress revealed this much about her relationship with her fellow thespians in a new interview with entertainment reporter Chux Ohai. She said:

“I don’t have close friends in Nollywood. Everybody is my colleague. Maybe it is because I live very far way from so many people in the industry. Secondly, I’m not very
good at visiting people. I don’t have that kind of luxury.

Omotola also counted herself as fortunate to have been married at a young age. And with a hint of sympathy for upwardly mobile Nigerian women who are still unable to walk down the aisle, especially some of her fellow female artistes, explained the reason why they are finding it difficult to get married.

“If I hadn’t been married earlier, I probably would not be by now. I don’t know if any other man would have been able to handle me the way my husband has done. It is not because I am a bad person. I am actually a very strong woman.

“At a point, you might become so confused and wonder if any man will ever love you for who you are. But, if you are not a very grounded person, you too can contribute to your own problems. I consider myself to be lucky to remain married.”

Asked if she had ever considered the fact that her daughter, who is now 18, could get married any time and she would end up becoming a grandmother before her 40th birthday, Omotola replied,

“I don’t care much about it. I don’t even want to think about that because I got married early. What I always tell people is that all fingers are not equal. The fact that I got married early does not mean that my own child will get married early. My mother didn’t marry early. So it is not hereditary. But if my daughter wants to get married early and I like the guy and If I see that he is responsible enough, why not?”

Most people might be wrong to assume that the stunning pretty actress live in highbrow areas in Lagos, such as the Lekki Peninsular. But she lives in a simple neighbourhood in the lowly Iyana-Oba area of the metropolis and she is proud of it.

Revealing a lot more about her private life, she said:

“I love where I live and I like the way I live. I come out to do my work and go back to my wonderful mansion. I am a cry-baby. I still cry a lot over the most unlikely subjects and for silly reasons.”

Two months ago, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde was at the centre of a gathering storm on social media, after she posted a message on her Twitter page, allegedly criticising those trekking long distances in honour of some leading politicians in the country and addressing them as “silly youths trekking their future away”.

The tweet had gone viral on the internet and Omotola had immediately found herself at the receiving end of criticism from many users of the social media who felt she had no business meddling in other people’s affairs.

Also recalling the episode, Omotola defended her comment by reminding her critics that it was her business, after all, to worry about the trekkers, since their actions were in the public domain.

She said:

“It is not that I am against trekking. My point is that people should either do something for nothing or they do it for fun. Although some people have said it is not my business, I’m now saying that it is my business. For crying out loud, if I say that I am trekking to go and celebrate, maybe a Boko Haram person, everybody will pounce on me. They will see it as immoral, considering the fact that many innocent Nigerians have lost their lives to the activities of the group.”

Like most other artistes, Omotola hardly sees her own movies and her dream role in a movie – the kind of role that she had always looked forward to having – is to act the part of a super heroine.

“I have always wanted to be a super heroine. I need one desperately,” she said.

Fashion Designer Arrested For Touching Models Inappropriately

An Australian fashion designer has been arrested and charged with five counts of assault following allegations he groped, harassed and exploited young female models.

It was reported in June that dozens of aspiring models had rallied together to expose the degrading treatment they experienced at the hands of the 31-year-old club promoter and would-be fashion designer, Shardz Hourani.

See Photo of one of his numerous touching body below…
Photos of female models being man-handled by Hourani during a swimwear photo shoot were posted to the Facebook page with the advice to “Say NO to Maniac Fashion”,  The photographs allegedly show Hourani groping the models’ breasts, buttocks and thighs.

Hourani was arrested at a shopping centre in Sydney, where he worked by day as a salesman in a men’s fashion store.

He was taken to Bankstown Police Station and charged with five counts of assault with act of indecency.

Hourani was granted strict conditional bail and is due to appear at Waverley Local Court on 30 July 2015.

In June, Novelli and fellow model Tia Wright said they had experienced appalling and degrading treatment when they posed for Hourani’s swimwear photo shoots.

Gunman Kills 2 People And Injures 7 In A Louisiana Movie Theatre

A 58 year old white gunman opened fire on movie goers last night in a Louisiana movie theater, killing 3 people, including himself and injuring as many as 7 people, some of whom are in critical condition, a police official said.

City Marshal Brian Pope said that the gunman opened fire at the Grand Theatre in Lafayette, Louisiana where people were watching the comedy, ‘Trainwreck’ before turning the gun on himself.

No one knows his motive for the shooting yet. Police are still investigating.

Gov of Louisiana, Gov Bobby Jindal says the gun man shot 2 friends who are friends were together when the gunman started shooting. He said he was told one friend took the bullet for her friend and in the process stopped the shooter from killing more people.

His name hasn’t been released yet. Will update as I get more info.

Update:
At a second news conference late Thursday, authorities said they had found the gunman’s vehicle with a suspicious package inside. A bomb squad and hazmat team had been called in to assist and the area near the theater was evacuated. Colonel Mike Edmonson of the Louisiana State Police said that there are no other suspects apart from the deceased shooter.

The gunman opened fire with a handgun at the Grand 16 Theatre in Lafayette, approximately 40 miles east of Baton Rouge. Authorities said approximately 100 people were inside the theater at the time.
The shooting happened about 20 minutes into a 7 p.m. showing of the movie “Trainwreck,” said Katie Domingue.

“We heard a loud pop we thought was a firecracker,” Domingue told the newspaper. Domingue said she saw “an older white man” standing up and shooting down into the theater, but not in her direction.

“He wasn’t saying anything. I didn’t hear anybody screaming either,” Domingue said.

Domingue said  she heard about six shots before she and her fiance ran to the nearest exit, leaving behind her shoes and purse.

Jalen Fernell said he was watching the film “Southpaw” with friends in an adjacent theater when he heard the first shots. Initially, he thought they were part of the movie.

“About five seconds later, sirens went off and I realized it wasn’t the movie,” said Fernell, who added that moviegoers were told to leave the area over a loudspeaker. Outside the theater, the 20-year-old said “I saw a woman lying on the ground outside with blood everywhere. She was shot in the leg.”

“We didn’t know what to do. You’re scared to walk through the parking lot. You don’t know if the guy’s in a car, hiding in the parking lot,” Fernell said. He watched as police with assault rifles entered the building and described hearing a barrage of gunshots “like a war going on.”

Fernell said he heard from a police car radio that six people were down in Theater 14. After more gunshots, he heard that the suspect was down and had committed suicide.

Police said they had closed other theaters in the area as a precaution. State and federal personnel were on hand to assist in the investigation.

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal arrived at the scene approximately two hours after the shooting. At a news conference, Jindal praised the response of local law enforcement and asked for prayers on behalf of the victims.

“The best thing anybody can do right now is to think about them, pray for them, shower them with your love is the most important thing we will get through this,” Jindal said. “We will get through this. We are a resilient community. This is an awful night for Lafayette. This is an awful night for Louisiana. This is an awful night for the United States.”

Comedian Amy Schumer, the star of “Trainwreck,” tweeted her condolences.

Girl Accidentally Kills Herself By Overdosing On Paracetamol

Georgia Littlewood, 17 and pictured above, took more than the recommended dose of paracetamol to cure a stomach ache.  Unaware of the dose’s deadly consequences, she went to stay with her boyfriend.

But her condition suddenly deteriorated and she was rushed into hospital with severe liver damage. She died the following day.

The cause of death was acute liver failure due to paracetamol toxicity.

Her family is now calling for tougher restrictions on the drug. Speaking at an inquest into her death, Georgia’s family condemned the ease with you can buy paracetamol after a coroner said it was a “readily available medication across the counter which can be extremely dangerous.”

In a statement they said:

“You can buy paracetamol at 19p a packet in supermarkets – yet you should only be able to buy it from a pharmacist who tells you of the dangers. You should not be able to go into the shop with no one giving any advice.”

Tragedy struck on March 28 this year when Georgia woke up at 6.30am complaining of a stomach ache. She had taken an administration apprenticeship in September 2014 but had been complaining of headaches after long hours in front of a computer at her desk.

She called in sick at work and went back to bed.

But later her mother Joanne Littlewood received a text from her daughter saying she was going to stay over with her boyfriend Tom Keen. The couple watched television and went out to get a milk shake and pizza.

At 2am the next morning, Georgia was heard being sick in the bathroom.

Mr Keen took her back to her parent’s house where they rang an ambulance when she failed to recognise her mother.

At Huddersfield Royal Infirmary she told doctors she had taken paracetamol tablets but had not done so with any intention of causing herself harm.

She was transferred to St James’ Hospital in Leeds and was put down for a liver transplant but she sadly deteriorated, leaving doctors unable to reverse the damage done to her liver.

She died at 9pm on March 30 in the intensive care unit. Mrs Littlewood said:

“On the day she was taken into hospital she was mumbling and didn’t know who I was. I knew something was wrong straight away. I believe the overdose was a complete accident. She was a very happy girl making plans to go on holiday in July.

I don’t think she would have known the correct doses for taking paracetamol and would have taken them for a headache. She would not have known the affect it would have had on her.”

Mr Keen said:

“She was not making any sense, she was talking but not making sense. At first I thought she was having me on. I realised something wasn’t right. I woke my house mate up and we took her home. When we got to her house we got to the door and her dad opened. He asked if she had taken anything. I confirmed she had not. She hadn’t drunk any alcohol either. I went back home.

Her mum rang later and said the ambulance had been called and she had been taken to hospital. I did not see her take any paracetamol nor any other medication and she did not say she had done so. No medication had gone missing.”

Assistant coroner Mary Burke recorded a conclusion of accidental death and said:

“It seems likely to me that Georgia was not fully away of the apparent toxic effect of paracetamol which can develop over a relatively short period of time. I do not believe it was an intentional act on Georgia’s part to harm herself and conclude a result of ‘accident.’

It is important to use these circumstances to highlight to members of the public the risk that are present. Paracetamol is a readily available medication across the counter but can be extremely dangerous. There are doses as identified in place for a reason. If everyone does not comply with that there can be tragic circumstances evident in this case. If you take more than the recommended dose the body cannot cope with that.”

Cameroon Bans Use Of Muslim Veil After Series Of Boko Haram Attacks

The governor of far north region of Cameroon, Midjiyawa Bakari has banned the use of Burqa, a face covering apparel worn by Muslim women. The Governor said the ban is as a result of last Sunday’s suicide attack carried out by two women wearing Burqa.

Announcing the decision yesterday July 15th, the governor said

“I took this measure because of the security situation prevailing in the region. No one suspected them and that is why we have ordered women to stop wearing veils and the police and military to arrest all women wearing veils,” he said.

Last month, Chad banned the use of full-face Muslim veil throughout the country due to increased female suicide bombing attack.

Female Terrorist Who Stabbed American Woman To Death In An Abu Dhabi Mall Has Been Executed

The female terrorist/ISIS fanatic who stabbed an American mother of 11 year old twins to death in an Abu Dhabi shopping mall toilet was executed in the early hours of today. Alaa Bader Al Hashemi, 30, (pictured in burqa roaming around the mall, looking for a victim) was executed at dawn after President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed alNahyan approved the death sentence.

The woman butchered 47-year-old nursery school teacher Iboyla Ryan at random in a toilet inside the mall after first selecting a British woman as her victim but left her alone because she was with a baby in a pushchair which made it difficult for the terrorist to corner her in a toilet.

She then picked Mrs Ryan (pictured above – she was actually seen on CCTV approaching the woman), she followed Mrs Ryan into the toilets and asked for her help to enter a disabled cubicle before locking them both in and launching a frenzy knife attack. She fled the scene but was caught after planting a bomb outside the apartment of a renowned American surgeon living in the Arab emirate.
The knife found at the scene of the attack pictured above. Al Hashemi had been brainwashed online.

Sex Starved Monk Stabs Prostitute To Death For Not Satisfying Him

Police on Thursday night arrested an acquaintance of a 37-year-old woman found stabbed to death in Matsuyama City last year, reports the Yomiuri Shimbun.

Police took Yoshinori Kurumi, a 29-year-old Buddhist monk from Tokushima City, into custody for killing nail artist Miki Kuroda insider her third-floor apartment.

The suspect is reported to have repeatedly stalked the victim before he killed her.

“She worked part-time in the fuzoku (sex-related) trade, and he was her customer; that’s how they became acquainted. On several occasions, he stalked her. He posted defamatory messages on adult-service promotion sites,” an investigator said.

These posts, which described the victim’s ‘sex’ services as “bad”.  And surveillance camera footage eventually lead police to Kurumi.

The suspect hired a private detective to do a background check on the victim to find out where she lives.

On getting to her apartment, the suspect posed as a delivery man. He attached a delivery slip to a cardboard box that concealed a survival knife, the weapon used to carry out the crime.

“He said that he carried her mobile phone and the knife used to kill Kuroda from the crime scene and threw them ‘into the sea,’” the investigator said.

Kurumi has admitted to killing Kuroda. “I stabbed her head with a knife,” the suspect is quoted by police.

On the day of the murder, her co-workers held a party in the office. When Kuroda did not arrive at the appointed time, some members visited her apartment.

It was a grisly scene: She had suffered deep wounds to her neck that extended to the carotid artery.

The investigator said given all of the wounds on the body, it seems that the perpetrator must have held tremendous resentment for the victim.

It Is Dangerous Marrying One wife As A Muslim, You Need Two & Above – Muslim Scholar

Well known for his tough lectures, popular Islamic scholar and preacher, Sheik Muyideen Bello is at it again. Bello has said a Muslim man will be doing himself more harm by marrying just one wife, but instead he will advise such a man to start with two. He made this known in one of his lectures titled Legal Marriage. Enjoy!

“Allah said a man should marry any kind of woman he likes. As a man, if you want to marry a fair-complexioned or dark woman, marry her. Allah said we should start from 2 women. I know women will not like to hear this. If you have to marry, start with 2 women, that is what the Quran says. The Yorubas have a saying that a man with 1 woman isn’t a real man. For instance if you are
married to 1 wife and she over-salts your food, you have just 1 wife. You don’t have a choice than to eat the food or buy food outside.

“I have received so many messages from people that why should I encourage polygamy. I tell them, is it me encouraging polygamy? Allah said you should marry 2, 3, 4. Allah said if as a man you know you can’t take care of them, then marry 1. Then if you are a me&my wife kind of man, the implications are too many. As Muslims, 4 women is the maximum a man can have, have 2 living with you then if you have 2 houses outside, you put the other 2 there. The implications in marrying just 1 wife are too many.

Kemi Adetiba Speaks On Her Near Death Fibroid Experience

Nigerian music video director, and filmmaker Kemi Adetiba has opened up on her best kept secret. She battled fibroid for long. According to Kemi she wasn’t strong enough to talk about it, but now that she is healed she feels she owes it to women on how she got over it. Kemi only spoke about her ‘illness’ for the first time in a recent interview and a lot of ladies have been asking her questions on how she got over it. Kemi hasn’t really explained how she did, but she spoke a little about the journey below.

I battled with an extreme case of Fibroids in secret for many years. When I say extreme, I mean EXTREME. From being rushed to the ER where the intense PAIN wouldn’t even allow me cry, to being dangerously close to death because of anaemia, to the physical changes, the mental and emotional roller coaster it takes not only YOU, but your loved ones privy to the information.

I alluded to my battle in a recent interview while speaking on something else, and since then I have had an avalanche of msgs from every avenue possible. Women going through the same thing needing more information. How I handled it. It’s amazing how many women live with this everyday yet have NO information on how to get better, or manage the symptoms pending surgery. Even with all the resources available to me, it was difficult making the right choices.

I had one doctor in NY tell me that I would have to take out my ENTIRE womb, that my case was THAT bad. Smh. I was like Errrrmmm I haven’t had kids yet. I got a nonchalant “sorry” and a Kanye-shrug. Things I endured Ehn??? SMH Thank God I found a doctor who thought that was rubbish… And he was Nigerian… In Nigeria!! It’s definitely something I would love to speak about, hoping that it helps someone out there. I won’t talk about anything other than MY experience. It’s been 6 months since I had the surgery. Even post surgery is another whahala, but I’m fully healed now and it’s like I have a new lease on life!! As you can probably tell from my instagram ?? I kept quiet about it initially as it was a very personal experience that forced me into an extremely fragile mental and emotional space.

I wasn’t ready for it to be public. Now that I am healed (by God’s Grace ) I would love to share my story hoping that it would help someone. Maybe a blog, or a video, or Twitter session… Not sure yet, but I will do it for you guys. Thanks for all the messages and questions. Keep them coming. I’ll try to answer all I can, and know you are not alone.

Daily Pains Of A Single Rich Guy – Lagos Bachelor Writes

Found this on Nairaland… Below are the 10 reasons he stated. Love me some relationship talk hehehe:

It’s funny to me when I read online that all that is required to get a Naija gal is money! People exaggerate the influence of money. Many guys automatically assume that once you display some cash, gals will automatically trip for you like mad. While it may be true to some extent (I have experienced that), it is not always the case.

I am not particularly stinkingly rich but I am a very comfortable bachelor working with one of the foremost multinational oil companies in Nigeria. I can afford the basic things of life with ease and with enough to spare. I also have friends & colleagues who are very comfortable and face similar
challenges I and others face. Any rich, single guy will possibly identify with some of the challenges I am about to outline, if not all. Some of the challenges are as follows:

  1. Many girls automatically assume that you are a player – Drive a nice car, wear good clothes, smell well and live in a comfortable house and many gals automatically tag you out as a player. undecided I have been told so many times by girls. One of my close friend had to quit a relationship because his girlfriend was just too insecure and didn’t trust him. sad My ex-gfs have also accused me of cheating eventhough I was never caught.
  2. Many think you have a girlfriend – You walk up to a girl, chat her up and start off a conversation. You become her friend and eventually ask her out. She tells you to your face that she knows that you already have a girlfriend, and possibly a fiancée. She tells you that it is virtually impossible for you to be single with your current status. For goodness sake, what does my financial status has to do with my relationship lifeI tire o. From that point onward, they hardly take you serious.
  3. Some girls are just interested in your money – Yes, many rich guys can testify to this. You meet lots and lots of female fraudster – we call them runs girls. angry They pretend to like you but all they are interested in is to get a share of your ‘national cake’ – your money. I can not count the number of times that girls (that I am still toasting) will be asking me to pay for their house rent, set up a business for them, etc when I am yet to start dating them. Even at the stage of friendship, some start asking for phones, Brazilian hairs and all kinds of stuffs. It’s annoying! Why is it so hard sometimes to meet a decent, good looking girl? I must confess not all girls are like that but many are.
  4. You spend more for your girlfriends – Girlfriends who have rich boyfriends expect their guys to spend more for them. You will find out that your broke male friends spend far less for their girlfriends ( and the girls appear to be contented), but in your case, your girlfriends expect that you ‘prove’ your love by spending your cash on them. If you don’t spend lavishly, you risk being tagged as ‘stingy’ cry
  5. Fine girls tend to play more ‘hard-to-get’ with the rich guys than the broke ones – YES! You heard me right. It’s surprisingly ironic, isn’t it? Fine girls tend to play hard to get with the rich guys because they want to been seen as decent and not after money. Many atimes, it’s just sheer pretence. embarassed They pretend to be decent, good, domesticated. They may sometimes hide their promiscuous and cheap lifestyle because they assume that they have finally met the serious-minded rich guy. So, they want to appear like a good girl. Some may also play hard-to-get so that you can spend more during the toasting stage. Meanwhile, you find out that these girls keep rolling carelessly and freely with the not-so-rich guys in the neighborhood.
  6. You become paranoid. You find it hard to know who really loves you. You also tend to think the girls in your circle are only around because of your money. You beome confused and it gets difficult to settle for a choice. It seems best to have settled for someone before you ‘made’ it. embarassed
  7. You may actually meet fewer number of good girls – You heard me right. You find out that you meet mostly bad and extremely extroverted girls. This is because the richer you get, the more isolated you may become. You drive your car, meaning that you do not meet ladies often in the bus or park. You do mostly online transfer meaning that you also miss out on ladies who visit the banks. You also are too busy to visit near-by higher insitutions where you can meet various chicks. We often live in very secured estates where everybody minds his/her own business further isolating us from meeting the real, ‘good’ gals out there. We tend to hang out in bars and clubs where you meet the highly extroverted, possibly bad gals. Gals in church are possibly worse-off too and not much better. Sigh…. cry
  8. You spend more than others to get a gal others would easily get with little cash – Another sad truth. Standards are set for you. While the not-so-rich guys will think twice before spending even less than 5k on a girl, you find yourself spending comparatively more for a gal. Due to your class, you have minimum standards for yourself, and you find it hard to go below it as it has become part of your lifestyle. First impression matters a lot for women. When you take a lady on a date within your ‘minimum standard’which may be very ordinary to you, she may become carried away with the lavishness. She often steps up her game so as not to appear cheap. cool
  9. Your true personality is often buried beneath your financial strength sad – Rich guys are one of the most misunderstood persons. Sometimes, we just want to be ourselves. However, friends and hanger-bys tend to be insecure and intimidated around us and think of us only in terms of our money. You jokingly tease a girl, and she is quick to point out to you that ‘is it because you think you have money?’ Not only girls, even fellow friends around you will feel very insecure. Some do not want to introduce you to their girlfriends because they are afraid that you will snatch them away. You find street guys freely talking to these fine young girls, and nobody calls them names. If you do same, people tag you as arrogant, player, disrespectful, etc. All focus is on you. Gossips are directed towards you…hmm angry

10. You find out the real, hard truth that money can not buy true love. Of course, money plays a very big role as it can fuel and sustain true love but money can hardly get you true love. Money can get you a beautiful woman, but it can’t get you a decent, faithful and loyal girl. Ever rich, comfortable or even upcoming guy out there should focus more on building a personality that is attractive to ladies. I have been poor and loved by a lady unconditionally before. I am comfortable and have been hurt by a lady recently. I have been both poor and rich in my life. From my experience, I can very well say that LIKEABLE PERSONALITY COMES BEFORE MONEY

British-Nigerian Woman Wins Six-Figure Payout Against Her Employer

48 year old British-Nigerian woman, Ibukun Adebayo, who is a  director at one of Princess Diana’s favourite charities, Turning Point has been awarded a six-figure payout after her boss nicknamed her ‘Looney Tunes’ and sent an obscene email.
According to UK Daily Mail, Mrs Adebayo won her religious and racial bias claim against Turning Point, a drugs, alcohol and mental health charity at East London Tribunal Service. She claimed she was unfairly sacked from her £84,000 position as IT director at the charity by its chief executive Lord Victor Adebowale.

The hearing was told that her boss David Hoare referred to her a ‘Looney Tunes’ in one email to Lord
Adebowale and sent another work email about a sex act. He was given a warning by Lord Adebowale, but Mrs Adebayo a mother-of-five from Bexley was dismissed from her job after she complained about Mr Hoare’s gross misconduct.
Now she is seeking £466,815 in compensation for lost earnings and hurt feelings but says that most of all she would like her job back. Turning Point adopted Princess Diana as patron in 1985. She worked for the charity until her death and was proud of the way it helped vulnerable people deal with drug and alcohol misuse.
Mrs Adebayo joined the charity in June 2004 and managed over 20 IT workers and a £1million-a-year budget at its central London office.
In 2011, Mr Hoare sent director of strategic projects Beverley Priest an email about Mrs Adebayo and also wrote about a sex act.
In October 2012, Mr Adebowale emailed Mr Hoare about Mrs Adebayo asking ‘What have we unleashed…?!’ Mr Hoare replied: ‘Looney tunes…’
Later that year, he sent emails poking fun at Mrs Adebayo’s Christian beliefs behind her back, saying she was praying ‘in the wilderness’.
And he said a request for an interview with Mrs Adebayo should be ‘killed’ as they no longer wanted her as the face of the charity.
Mrs Adebayo was devastated to discover all these emails in April 2013 and complained about Mr Hoare. Mr Hoare received only a formal warning for his gross misconduct.
But Lord Adebowale, 52, sacked Mrs Adebayo in August 2013 for ‘hacking into staff emails’.
The tribunal ruled that any reasonable employer would have ‘given genuine and serious consideration’ to firing Mr Hoare for gross misconduct.

Bill Cosby Finally Admits Drugging One Woman And “Other People” For Sex

According to documents obtained by the Associated Press, the 77-year-old actor and comedian said he obtained Quaaludes with the intent of giving them to young women he wanted to have sex with, and he admitted giving the sedative to at least one woman and “other people,”

The news agency obtained the legal documents after they became public on Monday. Mr Cosby testified that he gave a woman three half pills of Benadryl in a lawsuit filed by a former Temple University employee.
The 77-year-old was questioned by Dolores Troiani, a lawyer for Andrea Constand, a former women’s basketball director at Philadelphia’s Temple University where Cosby studied and was a member of the board of trustees. Constand took her rape case to court, but the case was dropped.
In one exchange between Cosby and Troiani, the comic admitted having obtained seven prescriptions for Quaaludes, a powerful sedative drug.

“You gave them to other people?” asked the attorney.

“Yes,” replied Cosby.

Troiani then asked him:

“When you got the Quaaludes, was it in your mind that you were going to use these Quaaludes for young women that you wanted to have sex with?”

“Yes,” replied Cosby, although a short time later he said he had misunderstood the question, and was referring only to one woman.

“I misunderstood. Woman, meaning T….., and not women,” he said.

Later in the deposition, Cosby said:

“I meet Ms (T, whose name was redacted to preserve her anonymity) in Las Vegas. She meets me back stage. I give her Quaaludes. We then have sex.”

Mr Cosby settled the lawsuit outside of court in 2006 for undisclosed terms. Mr Cosby’s lawyers fought to keep the documents private and argued that revealing them to the public would ultimately embarrass their client. The entertainer resigned from the board of Temple University last December, as sexual abuse accusations against him multiplied.

Rings In Burgers, Getting Down On One knee In Public Toilets: The Worst Proposals Of All Time Revealed

It’s a moment in your life that theoretically should only happen once – the marriage proposal.

But while some men (and women) go all out when asking for their beloved’s hand in marriage, others take the laissez faire approach.

For every boat trip down the Seine or fireworks display, there is a ring nestled in a takeaway burger or a proposal hastily scrawled on the lid of a fast food container.

Fast love: This romantic popped the question by hiding an engagement ring in a takeaway burger

There is no denying that the sentiment is always good – the request to be tied in holy matrimony forever.

But whether these couples will be as happy to recall the moment they say ‘Yes’ once the excitement died died remains to be seen.

From  graffiti on a cow to an inventive use of a home WiFi connection, the following proposals all get top marks for thinking outside the box, even if the romance was lacking.

Read on to discover some of the strangest attempts at popping the question ever…

This scrawl on the side of a cow made for a moo-ving proposal

Traditionally seen as the domain of vandals or Banksy-style artists, spray paint is also a favourite of those popping the question.

Whether it’s the side of a beloved’s house or even a piece of livestock, surface is off limits when it comes to asking for someone’ hand in marriage these days.

That’s what you call a happy meal! Proposal at McDonalds

Kirsty Allsopp and Phil Spencer are all about location, location, location… and so is this guy apparently.

The young man chose public toilets as his venue for popping the question, complete with questionaire on the cubicle door.

The napkin under the bended knee is a nice touch though.

This romantic had the right idea when it came to proposing – the rose petals on the bed is a tried and tested route to the heart.

How would you know if she was crying because of the onion or the engagement ring?

When Billy Ocean sang ‘Hungry For Love,’ we’re not quite sure this is what he meant.

While many see fast food joints as a place to speedily fix pangs of hunger, it seems others treat it as as the perfect proposal destination.

Will you be my WiFi(ey)?

It’s hard not to be impressed by the ingenuity of this proposal, customising the name of a home WiFi network to pop the question.

Whether she became a WiFi(ey) is unknown though.

ISIS Beheads Two Women In Syria For Witchcraft

Islamic State beheaded two women over the weekend accused of witchcraft and working with elves in eastern Syria
The 2 women have become the first to be beheaded by Isis after being accused of witchcraft, sorcery and working with elves by the Islamic extremist group, according to reports emerging from eastern Syria.
The executions, for a supposed breach of sharia law, were carried out on Sunday and Monday respectively, the Syrian Observatory for Human Rights, a monitoring group based in Britain, said.
In separate executions, both women were put to death alongside their husbands in Deir ez-Zour province – the first in Deir ez-Zour city on Sunday, the second in Mayadin on Monday after being accused of using un-Islamic medicine by the extremist group.

The group says that this would be the first time the self-styled caliphate has killed women in this way.

Previous executions of women have involved stoning or firing squads, mostly for adultery.

The SOHR said this week in an audit of the year since the declaration of the ‘caliphate’ that Isis had executed 3,000 people in the past 12 months, 1,800 of them civilians, 86 of them women and 74 of them children.

Photos: Inside The Home Of A Man Married To A Sex Doll

Dirk and Jenny aren’t like normal couples. Their sentiments are: to love one another, to support one another and to share a lot of their private time together. The only thing that sets them apart is Jenny is a ‘real doll’ that Dirk bought for 6,000 euros (that’s $6,750).
Dirk and Jenny have a fixed daily schedule. Every evening at 6 pm they are sitting on the sofa watching television

They have been living together in Dirk’s flat for 4 years now, after Dirk suffered a breakdown from feeling lonely. With Neil Young’s Such a Woman playing, they tied the knot in Dirk’s flat, and instead of a wedding ring, he gifted her a heart shaped pendant on a chain.

What sets their relationship apart from that of simply a sex doll is that Dirk has forged a true genuine relationship with Jenny. He can hear her, talk to her and “perceive her soul”, believing she speaks back.

Documenting the couple’s day to day lives, the photographer, Sandra Hoyn, discovered the 40-year-old man bathed Jenny on Sundays, they wrote a blog together and watched football in front of the TV side by side. Dirk, however,  hasn’t told any of his family or friends, including his child from a previous marriage. When he has guests he conceals her in his bedroom and dims the lights.

The photographer’s biggest challenge, was coming to terms with treating Jenny as the person Dirk sees her to be; to not to just see the doll just as a doll, but to “recognize what the man sees and loves in her”. She actually started to feel her presence, and when Jenny was put in bed for a ‘sleep’, actually felt her voice volume lowering, afraid of waking her.

“I can’t live without love. My loneliness destroyed me.”. Dirk says of his silicone doll. Dirk carrying Jenny into the bathroom. He always has to remove the door so that Jenny fits through. “Jenny is such a sensitive being. She is so helpless.”. He said.

“Jenny gives me security. I never want to live without her again. I am moved from her words. The purity, serenity and honesty of her speaking.”.

“Jenny likes to wear beautiful clothes. But she does not care for brands.” Every Sunday Dirk washes her lace lingerie and wigs.

Dirk powders and massages Jenny’s feet. He cares for her silicone skin every Sunday after bathing to keep it soft

Overweight Woman Flaunts Her New Muscular Physique

An overweight 27 year old Canadian woman shed a third of her body weight, she went from being overweight in high school to placing in national bodybuilding tournaments.

Trista Elaschuk who used to weigh 195lbs now weighs only 130lbs and is now participating in various bodybuilding competitions.
Trista said she decided to lose weight after high school so she joined weight watchers and lost 50lbs but like so many other people she gained weight again. However, when she met her current bf Kale, he inspired her to lose the wiehgt and maintain it.
About a year after they met, in November 2010, they went on a double date to their first bodybuilding convention. There, she felt in awe of the professional bodybuilders, and realized that she, too, could compete.
‘I was so inspired and motivated by these women on stage and knew I had to be one of them,’ she explained.
So Trista hired a coach, who worked with her for 23 weeks to get ready for her first competition.
‘I traded in partying and binge eating on the weekends for heavy lifting and meal prep,’ she wrote on her Facebook page. All that hard work paid off – her debut was at the Southern Alberta Bodybuilding Championship, where she placed three out of 15.
‘I struggled with weight my entire life and went on my first diet at the age of 16,’ she said in a recent interview. ‘I knew I had to made a change.’

Mozambique Scraps Ban On Same- Sex Marriage!

Mozambique decriminalized homosexuality Monday when a new penal code came into force that swept away old Portuguese colonial laws, in a victory for campaigners for gay rights.

The old code, dating back to 1886, targeted anyone “who habitually engages in vices against nature” — though no known prosecutions took place after Mozambique became independent in 1975.

Breaking the law was punishable by up to three years of hard labor.

“It’s a symbolic victory, as social inclusion remains the main challenge,” Frank, a student gay rights activist who declined to give his full name, told Agence-France Presse.

The new penal code, which was announced last December by then President Armando Guebuza, also decriminalizes abortion after lobbying by civil rights organizations.

Women can now end a pregnancy until the 12th week. Extraordinary circumstances, such as rape or threats to the mother’s life, allow for the procedure until the 16th week.

The code came into force on Monday, though no official events or celebrations were scheduled to mark the occasion.

The majority of African countries outlaw homosexuality, but Mozambique has seen little anti-gay violence or social friction over the issue.

Dercio Tsandzana, an influential blogger and activist, said there had been an absence of public discussion over homosexual rights.

“The government instead abides by the external pressure put by some embassies and foreign donors,” he said.

“Most Mozambicans don’t deny homosexuality, but one can’t say either that it is accepted.“

Despite a seven-year campaign, the Mozambican government has not officially recognized Lambda, the only gay rights organization in the country.

In neighboring Zimbabwe, President Robert Mugabe is known for his crusades against homosexuality, and discrimination is widespread across the continent.

Homosexuality is punishable by death in Sudan, Nigeria and Mauritania.

ISIS Beheads Women For The First Time In Syria

Monitor says ISIS killed two women and their husbands in Syria’s Deir Ezzor province after they sought health remedies.  ISIS has beheaded two women for the first time, in eastern Syria’s Deir Ezzor province, a monitoring group said.

The UK-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights said on Tuesday that ISIS beheaded the two women and their two husbands after accusing them of using “magic for medicine”.

It is not known what non-traditional health remedy the two couples had sought.  “It is the first time that the beheading of women, by the use of sword in public, has taken place in Syria,” the Observatory’s chief Rami Abdel Rahman told Al Jazeera.

The beheadings took place in the city of Deir Ezzor and the city of Mayadin. ISIS beheaded the first couple on Sunday and the second couple on Monday.

This is the first time the Observatory has documented the beheading of women in Syria. ISIS reportedly covered up both women and beheaded them, with many people watching, the Observatory said.

We were helpless as our foodstuffs were carted away by the rampaging militants who later burnt down most of the houses in our village. I can’t say tell you the correct number of people killed, but at least 20 people including women had their throats slit.”

‘It’s a huge decision to marry him and go over there to live but I will do it.

‘I haven’t given him a definite answer yet but in my heart I know he is the one for me.’

She said:

‘I want cosmetic surgery including a boob job and work on my lips and nose.

‘I am on the waiting list for a full sex change operation on the NHS but he wants me to go private and is offering to pay the cost of the operation.

‘I didn’t ask him to pay. He offered because he sees me as a woman. I don’t think two years is too short. I think it is the norm these days actually.

‘It is fine. People get pregnant after one-night stands these days so I like to think what I am doing is old-fashioned.

‘I want to be old-fashioned. I am in love with him and see a good future with him.

‘He is doing it because he loves me and wants to do it.’

And now the pair are planning a future together and thinking about having a family.
Miss Davies explained:

‘I am smart. I am not a stupid little girl, I have thought about this a lot.

‘But he says he loves me and doesn’t want to lose me. I thought he might be a conman at first but it is the real thing, I’m sure of it.

‘We’ve never had sex – I am making him wait to prove he loves me. I want out first night together to be very special.

‘We have even been talking about having a family together in the future and adopting children.

‘He loves me for who I am but he has been funding my cosmetic treatment.

‘He has a lot of property and money from inheritance and told me he is worth £40million.’

Miss Davies, who has also worked as a model, says she was 13 when she first realised she wanted to become a girl after being bullied for having big ears.
She began experimenting with make-up and, at 16, enrolled at a college to study hairdressing.
When she was 17, she started calling herself Tiffany-Rose and has since had hormone treatment.
She added: ‘I finally feel comfortable in my own skin. I would be called a “freak” and “ugly” and names like “dumbo”. It was really upsetting. I didn’t have many friends and felt isolated.
‘I remember I chose the name Tiffany-Rose because, when I was I think 10-11, I had a doll with black hair I loved.
‘I said “I want to look like this when I am older”. Now I look just like her. It was a childish thing.
‘But then, when I hit puberty, I knew something was not right. I wanted to be a girl. I have known for all my life.

Egba Chief Shot Dead After Celebrating 75th Birthday, Assailants Leave Note Behind

An Egba Chief, the Oluwo of Ikanna, Chief Moses Oyebade was Wednesday night shot dead by suspected assassins who gained access into his house around 12:00am and shot him several times till he died. The assailants left a note in English and Yoruba which read: ‘Useless man. Oni dokudo (promiscuous).’ The chief however only celebrated his 75th birthday in Lagos two weeks ago before the incident.

The Ogun State Police command has however vowed to bring the perpetrators of the act to book.

Women Who Mention God’s Name During Sex Should Be Jailed, Says American Televangelist

American televangelist and founder of the Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas, John Hagee, has accused women who call the name of God during sex as saying the name of God in vain, a transgression, he believes, should be punishable by imprisonment.

In an interview with newslo.com, Hagee, said that “If you’re asking about my personal opinion, there is no greater sin in terms of wrongly using God’s name than women who use it during sex.

“That is one of the filthiest, most derogatory and sinful uses of the Lord’s name I can think of. If it were up to me, I would put every single woman or girl who does that in jail. That would be a fine example of God’s wrath aimed at what is, in my opinion, a terrible misuse of our Maker’s good name.”

Hagee added that the Bible expressly forbids calling the name of God in vain.

“One of the things that the Bible has consistently denounced is the taking of the Lord’s name in vain. In fact, one of the Ten Commandments in the Old Testament states: “You shall not take the name of the Lord your God in vain, for the Lord will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain” (Exodus 20:7). The word “vain” means “for no reason” or “useless,”.

The word “vain” means “for no reason” or “useless.”

“Thus, God was instructing the Israelites to avoid using his name in a useless, disrespectful way. Instead, the Israelites were supposed to revere the name of God and use it in a serious, considerate way.

“Many of the ancient Israelites were so respectful of the name of God that they would not even pronounce it or write it for fear of using it in vain.

“Those who did write it would often throw away the quill they had used, because they thought that any quill that had written God’s name was holy and should not be used for regular words.

“in this world of crimes and deaths that surround us, a simple blasphemy does not get that much attention when it should.

“Saying the Lord’s name in vain might seem petite and insignificant compared to some of the things that are going on in the world right now, even in churches all across America,” Hagee elaborated.

“But, that’s precisely the problem. If the shepherds of a faith start doing wrong, what is the flock supposed to do? Follow in their footsteps? I don’t think so. The flock needs to get its bearings and start thinking for itself.”

The pastor reprimanded: “But, nowadays you have people committing sin everywhere you look, including Houses of God, which are the holiest of places.”

Woman Collects Money, Hands 14-year-old To Rapist In Lagos

A 25-year-old woman, Nnena Okoro, has been arrested by the police after she reportedly lured a 14-year-old girl, Faith (pseudonym) to a hotel, where a man raped her.

Okoro lives in Sumoratu Estate, off Ojo Road, Lagos State, where the victim resides. She was said to have been Faith’s confidant. Incident happened on the noon of May 16, when the girl’s aunt, with whom she lives, was not around. Okoro had approached Nnenna and requested that she accompanied
her to the Barracks area to buy mangoes. Okoro rejected the mangoes available in the area and went to Wowo, a nearby street, where the hotel was located.

Punch Metro was told that Okoro, who had allegedly collected an undisclosed amount from the fleeing rapist, lured Faith into a room in the hotel and shut the door. Faith said her mouth was covered, as Nnena aided the man to rape her.

She said:

“Aunty Nnena (Okoro) said I should follow her to buy mangoes in Barracks Lane. She did not like the mangoes they had there and she said we should go to Ojo Road. We went to a hotel and met a man, who she called her friend. Aunty Nnena told me to enter a room. Suddenly, both of them dragged me to the bed. Nnena held my hand and covered my mouth with a cloth. The man pulled off my trousers and raped me. He left the hotel immediately he finished doing it and said he had paid Aunty Nnena.

I went outside crying. It was one woman around the area that helped to clean the blood coming out from my private parts when she saw me. She later took me to the Layeni Police Station.”

In her statement to the police, Okoro, who hails from Abia State, confessed to taking the girl to the hotel. She denied coercing the victim into the act and claimed that she had never met the man prior to the incident. She said:

“Faith is my friend. On the fateful day, we both went to buy mangoes on Ojo Road. On getting to a hotel at Tolu, one man called her. They both discussed and the man paid N500 to the hotel attendant and they entered the room. I later left them inside the room to ease myself. It was when I came back that she told me that she was raped. I did not know that she was a virgin. We have never discussed anything like that before. Her pants were stained with blood. I have never seen the man before that day, but I can recognise him if I see him again.”

PUNCH Metro learnt that Okoro had been arraigned before an Apapa Magistrate’s Court on two counts bordering on the crime, while the police said they had launched a manhunt for the suspect.

The charges read:

“That you, Nnena Okoro, and one other male, now at large, on May 16, 2015, at about 3.20pm, at Graziela Hotel on Wowo Street, Tolu, Ajegunle, in the Lagos Magisterial District, did conspire to commit felony to wit; defilement, and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 409 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2011.
“That you, Nnena Okoro, on the same date, time and place in the aforementioned magisterial district, did hold the hands of 14-year-old Faith to the bed and allowed one other man at large to have unlawful carnal knowledge of her, and thereby committed an offence punishable under Section 137 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria, 2011.”

The accused pleaded not guilty.

A police prosecutor, ASP Olusoji Ojaokomo, said a medical test conducted on the girl revealed that her hymen had been ruptured.

The defendant’s counsel pleaded with the court to grant bail to his client.

Dad Goes To Daycare To Pick Up Daughter And Discovers Teacher Has Done The Unthinkable

When an unnamed Washington state father arrived at his daughter’s daycare to take her home, what he found was probably the worse possible situation a parent can stumble upon.
At first, he didn’t know where his 5-year-old daughter was, but he quickly discovered her in the classroom crouching behind a bookshelf in fear as her 31-year-old teacher was allegedly raping her.
According to the teacher, the Kid’s Country childcare center teacher was simply playing an innocent game of “tickle fight,” but according to the young girl, described as articulate and smart, that was far from the truth.

Wisely, the father took his daughter away and, on the ride home, contacted Child Protective Services.
The young girl described to both her father and CPS officials exactly what the teacher had done to her and even told them that he had “raped” her. Her above-average intelligence reportedly allowed her to provide details about the alleged sexual assault that led to the quick arrest of the perverted teacher.

Describing the incident, the girl explained that the teacher wasn’t tickling her at all, rather, his hand had touched her in inappropriate places on her body. The teacher, apparently caught in the act, tried to excuse those inappropriate touches as an “accidental slip of the hand.”
The unidentified man is awaiting his day in court at the King County jail, where he’ll hopefully be punished to the fullest extent that the law allows.

Three Bombers Die On Highway Before Reaching Their Destination In Maiduguri

Three females suspected to be Boko Haram bombers have died on a highway along Maiduguri before reaching their destination when the bombs concealed on their bodied exploded unexpectedly.

The Borno State Police Commissioner, Aderemi Opadokun who confirmed the incident said their death can be attributed to a failed suicide bombing attempt.

“Three suspected female suicide bombers died in Konduga LGA about 20 Kilometres to Maiduguri on Tuesday when IEDs  strapped to their bodies detonated on their way to Maiduguri. All the three suicide bombers are dead with no other casualty,” Opadokun said.

Man Reveals His Shocking Discovery That He had Twins His Ex-Girlfriend Said She had Aborted

Story as shared on TheHumansofLagos by our guy pictured above:

I have two daughters (twins) I didn’t know existed till recently. I wouldn’t have known if someone had not told me they saw a picture of my ‘ex’ with 2 girls who looked exactly like me.

I got a girl pregnant 14 years ago when I went to Abuja to spend the holiday with my Sister. We were both teenagers and inexperienced, we spent so much time together and one day one thing led to the other and we had sex. It was both our first time and we didn’t
know what we were doing.

When her parents found out, her senator father threatened to kill me if they ever see me, they said they would rather abort the pregnancy than let their daughter have a baby for someone from a poor home with no background. Some days later she came and told me her mum took her to a hospital and the pregnancy was terminated, I cried so much that day. She also told me her dad was seriously looking for me to arrest me and they asked her to say I raped her but she refused.

Apparently, they lied to me about the abortion, there was no abortion. She was sent abroad and she had the babies there. They are still abroad and I don’t know if they even know about me.

The Senate has passed the sexual offences bill which now attracts life imprisonment for anybody found guilty of rape, child sex tourism or deliberate passage of HIV/AIDS to innocent citizens, and other sexual offences.

This was contained in the Sexual Offences Bill sponsored by Senator Chris Anyanwu, which was passed into law yesterday by the Senate.

The bill prescribes life imprisonment for gang rape, 10 years for incest, another 10 years imprisonment for child pornography or more and a fine of N2 million as well as 14 years jail term for sexual offences.

According to Vanguard,Sponsor of the bill and Chairman, Senate Committee on Defence, Navy, Senator Anyanwu who represents Imo East, expressed happiness on the passage of the bill, which had been pending in the Senate since 2013.

“The new law also provides for effective witness protection programme to protect victims and witnesses in trial for sexual offences.
“It also provides for compulsory documentation, supervision of sexual offenders and medical treatment for victims, which is in line with the global trend and finally, and most importantly, it provides for adequate and stringent punish-ments to perpetrators.”

The new sexual offences law also criminalises people who deliberately lace drinks with drugs to sexually abuse victims, prostitution of persons with mental disabilities, among others.

Violence Against Women And Girls: Breaking The Culture Of Silence — Nnaemeka Oruh

Let us tell ourselves the truth,we are all witnesses, culprits,or victims of violence against women and girls.Be it a father abusing the daughter sexually,a husband physically or verbally abusing the wife,a son abusing his wife or girlfriend physically, psychologically,or sexually,or a brother abusing his girlfriend or wife,or even our own mothers or sisters suffering any form of abuse from our fathers or our sisters’ husbands,or even our friends or neighbours carrying out these abuses. One way or the other,we witness these abuses; we hear of them; we perpetrate them; and sometimes,we are even victims. All around us are these abuses. These abuses may be physical, psychological, verbal, sexual,or in the form of harmful widowhood practices or genital mutilation. So when you or anybody you know use(s) your tongue as a whip on a woman or girl, know that you are abusing the person and this may lead to a psychological breakdown.Or when that female child has her clitoris cut off in the name of circumcision,or a widow is denied her rights and made to suffer inhuman treatments,we should be aware that abuse is taking place.
Yet,few of these cases are reported. In fact,we seldom see these abuses as serious,or ,as something bad.But are abuses against women and girls evil?Do they affect societal balance?
Many people see violence against women and girls as a normal way of life.It is believed that it is normal to beat the woman a little. When daughters complain to their mothers about their husbands or boyfriends beating them, the mothers carefully explain to them that it is the normal way of life and buttress with the example that their own husbands did beat them too.In some cases, children who had witnessed such spousal abuses internalize them and see such acts as the norm.So the boys go ahead to carry on with that culture of impunity, while the girls receive such abuses with lamb-like piety. And thus the vicious cycle continues, resulting in death, maiming, etc.
There is another reason for such general acceptance and silence to violence against women and girls. It is the issue of stigmatization. The father, uncle, grandfather,or even a neighbour sexually abuses a woman or a girl, everybody ensures  the issue is not heard outside simply because of the social stigma society attaches to such abuses.Nobody wants to talk about it so that it does not become public knowledge which will lead to the stigmatization of the victim. So tomorrow, the perpetrator is emboldened and he continues to wreck havoc on more women and girls. As for the victim, the trauma stays.Never mind the unwanted pregnancy that could have been avoided if such a case was reported and the proper medical attention given.Never mind the venereal diseases that may follow such abuse. The victim thus becomes twice a victim and the culprit continues on his way,a roaring prey, inflicting more harm.On his trail will be a long line of psychologically traumatized women, unwanted babies, and sick women and girls. But you and I remain quiet.Until one day,we become secondary victims(and sometimes primary victims) of the vicious cycle.Never mind all that, let us continue to be quiet. We should not mind the fact that the person who sexually violates a little girl today, and goes unpunished, will tomorrow violate another, then another, and another.
One thing we may all know already is that the abused woman or girl can react in one of two ways; become psychologically damaged and imbalanced,or become disillusioned. If she becomes disillusioned, then there goes the person’s future and whatever contributions she may make to the society. If she becomes psychologically damaged or imbalanced, then, she becomes a ticking bomb that could go off any minute, with collateral damage to any one of us.But,forget it all,let us just keep quiet.I mean,it does not concern us.
You know, come to think of it,the abused woman or girl who got that venereal disease that was not treated because it was not reported may tomorrow become your son’s wife or girlfriend,or even your own wife or girlfriend(or your brother’s),and she will pass it on to him/you.Or let us say that the disease ate deep into her and she could not procreate, and she is your own daughter or even yourself.Well, don’t we all have God?God forbid,it will not be our portion.I have a feeling that God too will scream “you forbid!” when you witness such things and keep quiet.
We like to give excuses though. So we can actually disregard all talks about violence against women and girls by simply playing the culture card.Well,I wonder how many of us still walk around naked or walk to wherever we are going to without using cars.I mean, that was what our forefathers used to do right? If we must hold on to culture, let us hold on to all aspects of our culture.Culture as I know though is dynamic and cultures evolve in line with general good. And by the way,one can only play the culture card when talking about harmful widowhood practices and female genital mutilation as in no part of our cultures did our forefathers laud physical violence of any type against women and girls. But,let us play the culture card, while impunity reigns.
We live in a vicarious world. What humans have always done is to find better ways to make life better and easier for all.Violence Against Women and Girls is a criminal act that currently threatens our society badly. There is only one way to fight it: break the culture of silence and expose it for the evil that it is.The person who should be stigmatized is the perpetrator and not the victim.Nobody should be ashamed of being violated. The person who should be made to feel shame is the perpetrator. You should speak up about it,receive proper treatment and counseling when necessary, and have the culprit prosecuted.Thankfully, the federal government of Nigeria now has the Violence Against Persons Prohibition Bill as a law. This shows that even the federal government has criminalized all forms of violence. As citizens, our duty then is to take full advantage, safeguard our future and protect our loved ones by speaking up,and reporting such cases for action.
Whatever we do,we should bear in mind that we need to break this culture of silence for the sake of our mothers, sisters, cousins, nieces, and daughters. This is a sacred task that we must take seriously for the sake of our future.Or maybe,we can just continue to keep quiet. It is a choice.

10 World’s Most Powerful Women 2015

Angela Merkel

REUTERS/Hannibal Hanschke

German Chancellor Angela Merkel continues her reign as the most powerful woman on the planet for past nine years. Why? She clinched a third four-year term of Europe’s most vibrant economy in December 2014, making her the longest-serving elected EU head of state. She fought off a national recession during the global economic crisis with stimulus packages and government subsidies for companies that cut hours for workers, and she is in the thick of trying to help Greece revive its economy. She has used her power against ISIS, breaking the post-Nazi-era taboo of direct involvement in military actions by sending arms to Kurdish fighters. In the Russia-Ukraine crisis, she has been engaging in shuttle diplomacy trying to broker a peace deal with Vladimir Putin. There’s only one woman who has a chance of endangering her tenure as No. 1 in 2016 – and that’s the world’s No. 2 most powerful woman Hillary Clinton.

Hillary Clinton

The presumptive Democratic front-runner in the 2016 presidential race is starting her campaign miles ahead of her challengers. Her Ready for Hillary super PAC raised $9 million in 2014 and some of her biggest potential donors have yet to commit. A recent CNN/ORC poll, seven out of 10 Democratic voters favored her, while her closest Republican contender, Marco Rubio, trailed her by 12 points. She is the first and only first lady to become a U.S. Senator, not to mention presidential candidate. Her bestselling 2014 memoir, “Hard Choices,” which chronicles her time as Secretary of State, reportedly earned her a high-seven-figure advance. Her popularity remains high despite the “emailgate” revelations that she used her own private email address and server while Secretary of State, instead of the government system, potentially making her correspondence vulnerable to hacking and foreign surveillance. She has said she regretted the decision and complied with government rules. In September 2014 she marked a personal first, the birth of her grandchild, Charlotte Clinton Mezvinsky.

Melinda Gates

Melinda Gates has cemented her dominance in philanthropy and global development to the tune of $3.9 billion in giving in 2014 and more than $33 billion in grant payments since she founded the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation with her husband in 2000. Her work has inspired other big donors and has changed way funders think about effective philanthropy: highly targeted campaigns coupled with data-driven monitoring and global collaboration. As the woman with her name on the door, Gates decides the direction of the organization and reviews the results. Much of her attention is now focused on championing investments in women and girls around the world.

Janet Yellen

REUTERS/Carlos Barria

Janet Yellen made history in 2014 when she became the first female head of the Federal Reserve.  The Yale and Brown educated economist has barely had a moments rest since then: She took over shortly after the central bank began unwinding its recession era bond buying program and then deftly ushered markets through six cuts that brought monthly purchases to $0 from a peak of $85 billion. Now the Fed is on track to loosen the economic reigns further by beginning to hike interest rates as soon as June 2015 — a feat it hasn’t attempted since 2004. With so much at stake a single word from Yellen can send asset prices swinging but she received praise in March 2015 when she managed to change guidance without spooking investors. Meanwhile she has been fighting a call to increase congressional supervision of the Fed while pushing to improve the Fed’s oversight of big banks.

Mary Barra

REUTERS/Rebecca Cook

Mary Barra survived a harrowing first year as the first woman ever to head a Big 8 automaker last year. She faced revelations about faulty ignition switches blamed for at least 74 deaths and 126 injuries, a 30-million car recall and pressure from investors to return more cash to shareholders. In October the 35-year GM veteran finally got to lay out her strategy for the future, which includes turning Cadillac into a global luxury brand, continuing to grow in China and becoming a technology leader. Under Barra GM is also proving to be more disciplined financially, making tough decisions like pulling out of Russia, Australia and Indonesia or killing the Chevrolet brand in Europe if there’s not enough profit to justify continued investment.

Christine Lagarde

Christine Lagarde is entering  the last year of her first term heading the International Monetary Fund, the organization which serves as economic advisor and backstop for 188 countries. When she took over in 2011 the world economy was still recovering from the financial crisis. Today Lagarde is projecting 3.5% annual global growth — only a hint above last year’s rate and down from 4% in 2011. Lagarde calls this the “new mediocre” and is vocal about her concern that slow growth has become the “new reality.” How is the IMF helping? By viewing emerging markets as unique locals rather than a single entity and warning central bankers ? the U.S. Federal Reserve especially ? to be wary of the potential negative effects of differing monetary policy across the globe. Under Lagarde the IMF has supported efforts to increase female labor force participation as way to reduce poverty and inequality.

Dilma Rousseff

REUTERS/Ueslei Marcelino

Calls for President Dilma Rousseff’s resignation were chanted through the streets of Brazil at the start of this year, just months into her second term. Rousseff, who ran on campaign promises to harness oil and boost the economy, is now battling a bribery scandal that involves the national oil company Petrobras. As Brazil’s first female president, she was elected in 2010 and was on track to end poverty in the world’s seventh-largest economy. But the hopes of her supporters have fallen flat in recent months as her approval ratings have dropped to 13%. Additionally, the economy of the country with a GDP of $2.19 trillion could shrink for the second consecutive year.

Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg knows how to command attention. Her 2013 bestseller, “Lean In,” won famous fans including Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer and Beyonce, spawned thousands of Lean In Circle support groups, inspired a spin-off, “Lean In for Graduates,” published in 2014, and a Sony Pictures movie deal. The mother of two is a former Google executive, wooed in 2007 to Facebook by billionaire founder Mark Zuckerberg to the fledgling startup run by college dropouts. Before Google, the Harvard MBA worked as chief of staff to then-Treasury Secretary Larry Summers. She is a significant shareholder and oversees sales, marketing, business development, human resources and communications at the social media giant. Under Sandberg’s leadership, Facebook has improved its earnings performance and revamped its mobile strategy. She recently joined The Giving Pledge, promising to give away at least half of her net worth to charitable causes. Her husband, SurveyMonkey CEO Dave Goldberg, died unexpectedly of head trauma after a fall on a treadmill in early May. He was just 47 years old.

Memes may come and go, but Wojcicki’s new job is to make certain YouTube profits from every one of them. Google employee No. 16 — the company started in her Menlo Park garage — now heads up the Internet’s central hub for all things video. In February 2014, Wojcicki moved from her post as consigliore for Google’s ads and commerce (some 90% of revenue) to become CEO of the world’s largest video platform. It was a long time coming: In 2006, Wojcicki championed the $1.65 billion acquisition now valued at some $20 billion with revenues projected to be $5.6 billion last year, up about 51% from the past year. With more than 1 billion UVs per month and more eyeballs among adults 18 – 34, the former ad chief is quickly focusing on new ad formats, campaigns and market share. Calling YouTube complementary to television, Wojcicki is working to support YouTube’s celebrities and help media companies make the most of the video platform.

While her husband may sit in the Oval Office, First Lady Michelle Obama has her own power seat in the White House. At the start of the year, she traveled to Southeast Asia to push an initiative that aims to get more girls educated and therefore improve the well-being and financial stability of young women. In the summer of 2014, she spoke of the administration’s effort to end homelessness among military veterans in the U.S. — cities like Phoenix and Salt Lake City have been successful — and pushed back against measures that would allow some schools to opt out of the federal dietary standards for school lunches. Obama gained attention after opting not to cover her head during a visit with the president to Saudi Arabia.

UNFPA Responds To Nigeria’s Humanitarian Crisis; Supports Rescued Women, Girls

UNFPA, our very own United Nations Population Fund, has been extremely active in humanitarian work in Nigeria since 2013, supporting the nation under the leadership and coordination of the National Emergency Management Agency and the State Emergency Management Agencies, as well as Federal and State Governments. It also supports civil society groups to complement government efforts. For example, the Nigerian Red Cross Society plays a key role in the distribution and monitoring of humanitarian supplies to affected states.

When humanitarian crises strike, UNFPA is there and fully committed to ensuring that women can deliver babies safely and that they and girls can maintain their health, dignity, rights and self-worth even in the most challenging situations. Its efforts are focused on supporting women and girls to restore their lives as quickly as possible and begin the process of healing to be able to fulfill their potential and once again resume productive lives.

In this context, UNFPA supports humanitarian work in 6 states (Borno, Yobe, Gombe, Adamawa, Kaduna and Benue) with the most concentrated support in Borno and Adamawa. It supports women and girls in need, including women and girls freed from captivity. In collaboration with the Borno and Adamawa State Ministries of Health, it trained, mobilized and deployed health workers to camps for internally displaced persons in the states. There, they are providing vitally needed psychosocial counseling support and health services, including to rescued women and girls, as well as to family and community members.

UNFPA works closely with community-based organizations and other partners to ensure that reproductive health is integrated into emergency responses. Specifically, UNFPA helps procure and distribute reproductive health kits in humanitarian settings. These are distributed mainly to health facilities in communities and to temporary clinics in displaced persons’ camps. They help ensure safe and clean delivery, ensure safe blood transfusion and provide medical assistance to survivors of sexual violence. They also include clean delivery kits for distribution to visibly pregnant women, where access to health facilities remains difficult. UNFPA is committed to improving the chances that no woman dies giving life, even during conflicts.

UNFPA addresses gender-based violence in humanitarian settings with a wide range of services, including counseling, post-rape treatment, legal support, assistance with livelihoods, and support through its Sexual and Reproductive Health (SRH) programs. Its support includes building national capacity in clinical management of rape and supporting the provision of psychosocial counseling to traumatized survivors of violence. UNFPA aims to build resilience at individual and community levels through support for psychosocial counseling for survivors, families and communities.

Upon the arrival of rescued women and children in Malkohi camp in Yola, UNFPA responded immediately by providing reproductive health care and psychosocial counseling to survivors of violence. Women and girls who survive unimaginable trauma of captivity and brutalizing violence need immediate and compassionate care and UNFPA has been, as always, determined to ensure that they are given everything they need to be able to heal with dignity, safety and a restored sense of self-worth. After a few weeks of counseling, there was marked improvement in the survivors.

UNFPA does NOT promote abortion as a method of family planning nor does it have any abortion related interventions in Nigeria. UNFPA supports voluntary family planning so that women and men can freely determine the number, timing and spacing of their children as well as prevent unwanted pregnancies—it is their human right to do so and to have the means to exercise that right. This helps reduce recourse to abortion. All UNFPA support abides by Nigeria’s laws.

UNFPA is committed to delivering a world where every pregnancy is wanted, every child birth is safe and every young person’s potential is fulfilled. Its mandate was determined by United Nations Members, including Nigeria. Indeed, Nigeria is one of the countries whose 1965 appeal to the United Nations ultimately inspired UNFPA’s creation a few years later.

All UNFPA-supported interventions are approved, owned and implemented by Nigeria and respects the nation’s sovereignty, laws and priorities. UNFPA’s work is done through its partners such as Federal and State governments in Nigeria.

UNFPA in Nigeria is committed to save lives, restore dignity and rebuild broken lives of vulnerable women and girls.

In 2014 alone it:
supported more than 16,000 safe deliveries in North East Nigeria

reached 2,620,000 women and girls with SRH services including for Gender Based Violence (GBV) management in North East Nigeria.

supported provision of modern family planning services to an estimated 2,093,588 women and Couple Year Protection of 2, 222,029 countrywide

averted 2,383 maternal deaths country wide though its support

Group Wants Buhari To Appoint Women In Key Positions

Ms Ayisha Osori, the Chief Executive Officer, Nigerian Women Trust Fund (NWTF), has urged the President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari, to appoint women in positions of decision making.

Ososri told NAN in Abuja on Wednesday that it was also necessary for the incoming administration to adopt inclusive representation.

According to her, this is imperative as the performance of women at the general elections is poor.

She observed that the advocacy for change was required of the middle class in order to bring about revolution in the society

“I am in two minds about this grassroot advocacy issue, because for me, all around the world it is the middle class that leads revolutions.

“It is the middle class that drives change; you do not expect the masses who are burgled down with many issues: poverty, looking for food, looking for water, health issues to actually care.

“It is the middle class that is going to drive change because for me, grassroot people have proven over and over again that what they care about is food.

“And if a man comes and provides it great, if a woman comes and provide it, I also think for them it’s great, the change we want to see in terms of inclusive representation is going to come from middle class, it is not going to come from grassroot.”

6 Beauty Treatments Women Want Men To Do Regularly

1. Trim long nose and ear hairs.
It’s pretty hard to carry on a conversation when you can’t take your eyes off a ginormous boogie hanging from a man’s nose hair. And you can forget about us whispering sweet nothings into ears that are clogged with wax and flaky wisps of hair. Investing in a trimmer is all it takes is to get either situation under control.

2. Clean up unruly eyebrows.
We’re not saying that you have to have a standing brow appointment at the salon, but we definitely agree with Facebook user Colleen McGuigan’s explanation of how unkempt eyebrows can affect a man’s appearance: “My husband and son have the same bushy eyebrows. My son (19 yrs old) has his waxed and threaded on a regular basis. My husband does not. As a result, my husband often looks angry when he is not. Since he is in sales, that probably isn’t a good thing.”

3. Exfoliate.
Model and actor Shaun Ross shared his no-fail skincare secrets in a Huffington Post blog post, explaining that men don’t need fancy scrubs to slough away all the dirt, debris and dead skin cells — his homemade recipe uses salt. But there is a right way to exfoliate your face. Take notes.

4. Apply daily moisturizer and sunscreen.
Men can easily hydrate and protect their skin by applying a moisturizer with SPF. Done and done.

5. Wear eye cream.
The HuffPost Lifestyle editors let out a resounding “Amen” after reading Facebook user Carmen Daniela Chavez’s comment: “They don’t comprehend how necessary it is and have too much pride to purchase it for themselves, so he uses mine.”

6. Take better care of nails and feet.
This involves applying lotion, clipping long nails and, of course, scrubbing your feet. Don’t forget to get in between those toes, too!

Indonesia Military’s ‘Virginity’ Testing Should Be Abolished, Human Rights Group Urges

Indonesia, home to the world’s largest Muslim population, last year admitted it conducted virginity tests on women trying to join the police or military even though the World Health Organization says the test has no scientific validity.

“The Indonesian armed forces should recognize that harmful and humiliating ‘virginity tests’ on women recruits do nothing to strengthen national security,” said Nisha Varia, HRW’s women’s rights advocacy director.
A human rights group urged Indonesia to abolish invasive “virginity tests” for female recruits and the fiancees of military officers in its armed forces, saying international treaties had described the practice as degrading and cruel.

President Joko Widodo should ask military hospitals immediately to stop administering the tests,
which violate international human rights treaties that Indonesia has ratified, Human Rights Watch (HRW) said.
To justify the tests, military officers told female recruits the they were crucial to preserving “the dignity and the honor of the nation,” HRW said.

Officers who wish to marry require a letter of recommendation from their commanders, who only issue them upon confirmation that the fiancée has undergone a medical examination, including the “virginity test” at a military hospital.

The tests have been recognized internationally as violations of the right to non-discrimination and the prohibition of “cruel, inhuman or degrading treatment” under international human rights treaties that Indonesia has ratified, HRW said.
In February, Indonesian officials dropped a plan to require female students to pass virginity tests in order to graduate from high school and apologized after sparking a public outcry.

The rights group said it was calling for the support of the International Committee on Military Medicine (ICMM), which will hold its world conference in Indonesia next week. The ICMM aims to foster collaboration between members of armed forces’ medical services.

Be Responsible Always, Patience Jonathan Urges Women

Nigeria’s First Lady, Patience Jonathan, has challenged women to always be responsible and to use their positions to positively impact on the society especially the less privileged.

Mrs. Jonathan gave the challenge Sunday in Abuja, at the Miss United Nations Nigeria Pageant 2015.

Vivian Nnamani, who represented the Federal Capital Territory, emerged as the Miss United Nations (Nigeria) while Kessy Isong, who represented Akwa Ibom state emerged as the first runner up at the pageant.

The winners are expected to go home with a cash reward and a brand new car.
The pageant had a category for singles, married women, single mothers and teens.

Winners of the teens and married women categories would be further groomed and would join Miss United Nations (Nigeria) to represent the country at the main Miss United Nations Pageant holding in July in Kingston, Jamaica.

The first lady who was represented at the event by Peace Nnaji had earlier also congratulated Precious Chikwendu who won the 2014 edition of the pageant in Kingston, Jamaica.

She expressed optimism that such pageants would enable contestants develop their personalities and make them stronger and passionate to positively impact on the society.

She said Miss Chikwendu brought honour to Nigeria by virtue of her not only winning the crown, but also the hosting right for the Nigerian version of the pageant.

She added that being a beauty queen, was not as easy as it seems, because the queen has to be the best in whatever she does in order to achieve her goals.

“Remember, looking good is worth all the troubles,” she said. “This is because beauty is the totality of the state of a woman`s health, physically, psychologically and mentally.”

The first lady, however, reminded the contestants that it was alright to lose, because there were no losers in pageants as all contestants were winners.

She also added that pageant was not only about winning the crown, but also about what was done after the victory and charged the contestants to be responsible and useful to the society; a character, she said, the outgoing queen, Chikwendu, had exhibited during her tenure.

The first lady added that on her part, she had through her various NGOs and programmes, encouraged the girl-child and women generally, to be who they want to be and express their natural talents.

She assured the outgoing Queen of her continued support in her determination to make young women better citizens.

Using her Snow White Foundation NGO, the outgoing queen, said she adopted a lifecycle approach of development, focusing its interventions on children, their families and the larger community with emphasis on the less privileged.

According to her, beauty transcends the physical, is not just an outward thing, but also the inner qualities of an individual.

She maintained that beauty pageant had moved beyond wearing a crown and cat-walking to impact positively on the society.

The outgoing queen, explained that the main focus of the pageant was to have volunteers who were ready to use beauty to add value to humanity.

She held that it focuses on volunteer work, adding that each contestant must have a background in volunteer work for her community.

“This sisterhood strengthens them to see beyond their immediate surroundings and situations and extends their services across the globe.

“As each contestant shares ideas of how she serves her community, more women would be strengthened and edified because their paths have crossed for good,” she said.

The contestants at the 2015 Nigerian version of the pageant were assessed on the basis of character, personality, conversational skill, beauty, fashion and intelligence.
The Director Media and Publicity, the Peoples Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organisation, Femi Fani-Kayode, who was one of the special guests at the pageant, descried it as exceptional.

“This is a pageant with a different; I am excited to be here and so proud about the contestants and the organizers of the event,” he said.

“I am particularly happy that the first lady said such nice things about the pageant and the organisers and her assurance of continued support,” he said

The 2015 Miss United Nations Nigeria Pageant, was sponsored by Chikwendu, the outgoing Queen.

Women Trust Mugabe More Than Men- Survey

About 63% of Zimbabweans say they trust long-time President Robert Mugabe, a new national survey showed on Wednesday.

In results likely to be feted by Mugabe’s government and greeted with some dismay by his critics, the survey showed that 70% of Zimbabweans living in rural areas say that they trust the 91-year-old leader “somewhat” or even “a lot” – despite the worsening economic situation.

The figure remains high at 50% in urban areas, which have traditionally been strongholds of the main opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC).

Significantly, opposition parties like the MDC currently enjoy much lower levels of trust. “Only a third of the population trusts them”, the findings say.

The survey was carried out by researchers Afrobarometer in partnership with Zimbabwe’s Mass Public Opinion Institute (MPOI), which correctly predicted that Mugabe would win the 2013 presidential polls.

Afrobarometer said 2 400 adults were polled last November. Women had slightly more trust in Mugabe than men, at 64% compared to 62%.

Lawyer Alex Magaisa said the results showed Mugabe had maintained his support base following the 2013 elections, which came after a four-year-long coalition government.

But he warned that those in Mugabe’s Zanu-PF party hoping to push him out of power in the next elections in 2018 would likely now be disappointed.

“This survey result will be used as confirmation that President Mugabe is still popular and remains the right man for the job,” Magaisa said in a blog post at newzimbabweconstitution.wordpress.com.

Magaisa is a former advisor to MDC leader Morgan Tsvangirai, who served as prime minister in the coalition. Once the hope of around half of Zimbabwe’s voting population, the MDC is seen by many as a shadow of its former self.

It has been weakened by splits, corruption allegations and, two and a half years ago, revelations about Tsvangirai’s messy private life.

The Nigerian Senate on Tuesday, passed Violence against Persons (Prohibition) Bill which seeks to prohibit female circumcision or genital mutilation, forceful ejection from home and harmful widowhood practices. The bill also prohibits abandonment of spouse, children and other dependents without sustenance, battery and harmful traditional practices.

The Bill was sponsored by the Leader of the Senate, Victor Ndoma-Egba. It is also intended to eliminate violence in private and public life and provide maximum protection and effective remedies for victims of violence, and punishment of offenders.

The bill equally prohibits economic abuse, forced isolation and separation from family and friends,
substance attack, depriving persons of their liberty, incest, indecent exposure, among others.

In his remarks, Deputy President of the Senate, Ike Ekweremadu, who presided at the session, said that the passage of the bill would provide adequate protection for the vulnerable in the society and punish those who take advantage of them.

He commended the senators and other stakeholders for their efforts in ensuring that the bill was passed, adding that it was a good step in the fight against violence in the society.

“The primary responsibility of government is to protect lives and property and as a responsible arm of government, our primary responsibility is to enact laws that will not only protect our people, but also protect their property.

“Today, we have discharged one of our responsibilities to the vulnerable in terms of violence. Congratulations for this achievement,’’ he said.

68 Year Old Man Fooled 342 Women In To Having Sex In A Dark Room By Posing As A Male Model

A 68-year-old man fooled women into having sex with him in a darkened bedroom by posing as a young male model online(right)
The man, using the name ‘Anthony LaRoche’, promised the women 50 Shades of Grey-style bedroom antics with a handsome man through e-mails and texts.
He now faces charges of ‘surprise rape’ after a woman – ‘Sylvie’ – complained.

According to UK Mirror, Sylvie, who was lured to the man’s apartment in Nice, France, said he suggested a darkened room and a blindfold for a kinky thrill. When she arrived and covered her eyes she got into bed with the man, who she thought was handsome, with brown hair and blue eyes. She was stunned when she flicked the light on after sex to see a much older man.

She said: “He was a balding man of about 65, who was quite wrinkly and wore glasses – I was absolutely disgusted.”

When she told police they found her testimony matched three other women’s.When they raided his flat they discovered he had tried the same subterfuge on 342 women across the country.

A second victim was quoted as saying:

“He didn’t want me to take off the blindfold. When I insisted, he got angry. I ended up seeing his silhouette in the dark. He was old, pot-bellied with a big nose.”

After he was arrested he told police that he had the woman’s consent to the sex and couldn’t see what he’d done wrong.
The man, who has already served a prison sentence for tax fraud, added that had she asked the truth about the picture, which he found on Google, he would have come clean.

“Some women have a crazy side to them and like men who surprise them,” he reportedly said.

Woman Runs Away With GEJ’s Campaign Money, Women Rain Down Curses For Non Payment

Reports reaching us provides that the campaign rally held for President Jonathan in Abuja today ended in a sham.

Sources informed us that women traveled from far places to attend the rally and participated in a campaign walk for President Jonathan. The campaign walk which started from Berger to different streets of Abuja, then rounded up in eagle square and millennium park, ended amid heated arguments, because the women were denied their payment money.

We were told that the woman responsible for paying the women ran away with the money and the women rained down curses on people responsible for not paying them after walking and dancing all day under Abuja’s hot sun.

Most Nigerian Women Will Vote Jonathan, Says Mu’azu

In a statement on Monday, Mr. Mu’azu said the positive role of the women’s wing of the PDP had provided the party with the cutting edge needed to bring it victory in the March 28 gubernatorial and legislative elections.

According to him, the First Lady, Patience Jonathan, wife of the Vice President, Amina Sambo, wife of the Senate President, Helen Mark, along with the PDP Women leader, Kema Chikwe, were already showing the way for the rest of the polity to follow on how to win votes for our party and win the 2015 elections in the process.

“I am proud of our women and their tremendous contribution to our party’s greatness and it is partly because of this that the PDP will be returned to power at all levels. They have given us the cutting edge we need to win this 2015 election and they will be handsomely rewarded with even more part in governance,” he said.

“My message to our women is to keep going for it because victory is in sight and our hands are open to grab it. Nigerians will be glad that they voted for the PDP instead of those who want to change a winning team without providing a better alternative.

“I am therefore delighted and wish to thank our women for the pivotal role they are playing to ensure that we pip the opposition when the last votes are counted in this week’s general elections beginning with the presidential election.”

Meet Afghanistan’s Only Female Taxi Driver Who’s Getting Death Threats

Sara Bahai’s decision to become Afghanistan’s only known female taxi driver has earned her alot of death threats..Bahai, now around 40 years old, had already spent much of her life defying taboos in Afghanistan, where women are widely regarded as inferior to men and discouraged from working outside the home.

According to AP,She never married, she said, because she had to support her parents and siblings and feared a husband would prevent her from working. With no children of her own she adopted two boys, now both in high school. When Taliban insurgents shot and killed her brother-in-law, she took in her sister and seven nieces and nephews. She now supports a dozen people.

To put food on the table, she drives around the northern city of Mazar-i-Sharif in a spotlessly clean yellow and white Toyota Corolla with sparkly woven seat covers and a good luck talisman in the front window.

“I receive threats from unknown callers who tell me to not drive in the city because I am a woman, because it is against Islam. Some tell me that if I continue to work as a taxi driver they will kill me,” she said.
“Male passengers are very jealous and often abuse me, but I don’t care what they think of me, I am not afraid. I will change the country with whatever ability I have to do so,” she said.

She got her driver’s license in 2002 and is also a mechanic. She earned a university degree in education and now teaches other women to drive so they can be more independent”

10 Huge Relationship Mistakes Smart Women Make

1. Trying to get him to be more motivated. If he can’t get a job he actually likes (so he’s not constantly complaining about how horrible his social work job is because he hates children) on his own, you’re not going to be able to move his lazy-ass mountains.

2. Thinking that his past relationships don’t necessarily mean anything. So he dated someone who was a “total whore”? Yeah, guess what? He’s going to call you that too. If anything, she was probably a “whore” you’d get along with and you could bond over the sexist idiot you both dated.

3. Not paying attention to the way he talks about other women. See above, but also the way he talks about his female friends or even just the way he talks about Mindy Kaling or Lena Dunham; all of it adds up and speaks volumes. Don’t ignore it just because he has nice abs. (I have done this and I am very smart, but also: abs.)

4. Not putting enough time into the relationship. I get it. You’re working, you’re busy, you don’t have 24 hours a day to put into some relationship that might not go anywhere. But it’s 100 percent not going to go anywhere if you don’t spend a tiny bit more time and energy on it.

5. Not hanging out with your friends as much because he is your *~FuTuRe~*. And maybe he is! But you don’t want to stop watching Friends marathons with Katie and Jill. Even if he is your future, it’s still important to have more people in your life than one. That’s not what “The One” means. Also, disregarding your friends’ opinions of him. Their opinions aren’t the most important thing, but it’s a red flag if they all hate him. I mean, ideally, they’re all like “OMG how is he so great? Marry him right now… or whenevs, NBD.”

6. Not paying attention to early warning signs or thinking that they don’t really matter. If the fact that he only eats stale dinner rolls for lunch bugs the hell out of you in the beginning, you’re going to throw one at his face six months from now.

7. Not thinking it’s weird that you never hang out with his friends. It is weird. Meeting a guy’s friends is so important because if they’re jerks, he’s probably a secret jerk too. Or, if you’re like me, you meet his friends and realize one of them is way hotter/cooler than the guy your dating, thereby making you realize you don’t really like the guy you’re dating. Sobering stuff.

8. Making all the plans. If he’s just agreeing to show up somewhere, he’s not making much effort. He’s just chillin’ with you ‘til it’s time to touch your boobs. You deserve a legit night out that he actually planned for both of you. If not more than one night out. Lots of them, quite honestly.

9. Keeping a guy around way too long because it was so hard to find a decent guy and you don’t want to have to go through “The Search” again. Let me tell you something, the search is in fact terrible. But I truly believe it is not as terrible as being with a guy who is a pile of garbage wrapped in scraps of old meat.

10. Thinking that because he’s spending tons of money on you that means he loves you and is not just…him spending lots of money on you. It’s awesome when someone is treating you like The Beyonce of Beyonce Castle in terms of gifts and going places and doing cool shit. I love that stuff so much. What I don’t love is when that’s all the person is doing because they can’t articulate a single feeling in their brain or body (ahem, Mark and also Dave).
