Buhari urges ministers to earn Nigerians’ trust through hardwork

President Muhammadu Buhari on Wednesday urged his ministers to earn the trust of Nigerians through hardwork.

He gave the directive at the Federal Executive Council meeting ahead of the one year anniversary of their appointments.

Minister of Mines and Steel Development, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, while speaking with State House Correspondents on Wednesday said the ministers reflected on achievements made so far.

He said, The challenges are still enormous, we read what you write and we get the feedback from the populace.
“We cannot afford to rest on our oars. We need to communicate to Nigerians what we are doing. We would find a way to speak individually about what we have been doing in the last one year.
“At the ministry level there, will be some kind of commemoration but noting extra ordinary.
“The President’s charge is simple. You know the President is not a man of many words. His charge to us is for us to just get on with it and ensure that we earn the trust of Nigerians by doing the best we can to serve the country.”

Angry Woman Paints Donald Trump’s Portrait With Her Menstrual Blood

Presidential candidate and billionaire Donald Trump is no stranger to being ridiculed.

However, one Oregon artist, Sarah Levy, may have finally gone too far in her attempt to ridicule Donald who made an inflammatory degrading post about a bloodied woman

She decided to made a painting of him, using only her menstrual blood since Donald loves blood.

See the blood paint and Donalds tweet below…

The painting, somewhat laughably titled “Whatever,” features the Republican candidate striking a very famous, and very red, pose.

Levy created the artistic rendering as a response to Trump’s insults toward Megyn Kelly after that first Republican debate.

She talked to BuzzFeed News about the reasoning behind the blood-soaked depiction:

“That he thinks he can bring up the healthy functioning of women’s reproductive systems to insult women’s intelligence is a big problem that I think needs to be called out.”

The bright red luster of the original painting has, according to Levy, faded to brown in the days since she created it.

Women Trust Mugabe More Than Men- Survey

About 63% of Zimbabweans say they trust long-time President Robert Mugabe, a new national survey showed on Wednesday.

In results likely to be feted by Mugabe’s government and greeted with some dismay by his critics, the survey showed that 70% of Zimbabweans living in rural areas say that they trust the 91-year-old leader “somewhat” or even “a lot” – despite the worsening economic situation.

The figure remains high at 50% in urban areas, which have traditionally been strongholds of the main opposition Movement for Democratic Change (MDC).

Significantly, opposition parties like the MDC currently enjoy much lower levels of trust. “Only a third of the population trusts them”, the findings say.

The survey was carried out by researchers Afrobarometer in partnership with Zimbabwe’s Mass Public Opinion Institute (MPOI), which correctly predicted that Mugabe would win the 2013 presidential polls.

Afrobarometer said 2 400 adults were polled last November. Women had slightly more trust in Mugabe than men, at 64% compared to 62%.

Lawyer Alex Magaisa said the results showed Mugabe had maintained his support base following the 2013 elections, which came after a four-year-long coalition government.

But he warned that those in Mugabe’s Zanu-PF party hoping to push him out of power in the next elections in 2018 would likely now be disappointed.

“This survey result will be used as confirmation that President Mugabe is still popular and remains the right man for the job,” Magaisa said in a blog post at newzimbabweconstitution.wordpress.com.

Magaisa is a former advisor to MDC leader Morgan Tsvangirai, who served as prime minister in the coalition. Once the hope of around half of Zimbabwe’s voting population, the MDC is seen by many as a shadow of its former self.

It has been weakened by splits, corruption allegations and, two and a half years ago, revelations about Tsvangirai’s messy private life.
