Sen. Sani Distributes 60 Electricity Transformers, 250 Solar Panels To Constituents

Sen. Shehu Sani, (APC Kaduna Central), on Monday inaugurated the distribution of 60 units of electricity transformers to communities in his senatorial district in Kaduna State.

Sani, who is also the Senate Committee Chairman, Foreign Loans/ Debts, also announced the distribution of 250 Solar Panels to over 100 communities.

Speaking at the inauguration at in Kaduna, Sani said that he believed power should be accessible and affordable to the poor as it is to the rich.

“I am committed to facilitating the provision of power to our urban and remote communities in the district I represent.“

Sani said that the intervention was to empower the poor by boosting small and medium businesses.

He said the solar panels would be installed in public facilities including hospitals and worship centres to facilitate their activities.

He said that he would use “all legal means to make sure this is subsidised to the barest minimum, even in the area of importation of solar panels and other equipment that cannot be manufactured locally.

“This will support independent investors and individuals who have interest in the energy source and further development of Kaduna Central Senatorial Zone. “

Sani, however, said that “the maintenance of this infrastructure, when installed, will be the responsibility of every member of the community’’.

I Didn’t Know The Transformer Was Removed, Teslim Folarin Responds To Allegation

Teslim Folarin, who was accused of removing a transformer he donated to a community after he lost in the election reacts to the allegation in a statement. Read Statement below:

“It is with sadness that I learnt of a particular incident which purportedly took place in the Sabo area of Ibadan on Sunday. I understand that a transformer which I had donated to the community was the subject of controversy between the youths of the area and some leaders with either side accusing the other of trying to sell the transformer. The PDP youths in the area subsequently took the transformer to a safe place within Sabo area itself pending an amicable resolution which I understand was resolved by the leaders of the community.
Fact; I was not aware of this incident until this morning when I was woken up with headlines all over the internet that I had taken back the transformer because I had lost an election. It is instructive to note that no media house had even contacted me to find out the truth.

I have since contacted members of Sabo community and they confirmed that the matter has been resolved.

Which brings me to the worrying conclusion that a well orchestrated and sophisticated campaign of calumny has begun against my person as a precursor to the 2019 elections. I would advice my supporters to take heart and remain peaceful as this is only one in a long line of attacks that I will expect from enemies of my progress.

For now it is a time for healing and introspection, we have had a long campaign and everyone needs to rest and thank God for his or her life before asking God to prolong our lives to the said 2019.

I thank the good people of Oyo state for your continued support.”

One love.

PDP Guber Candidate Removes Transformer He Donated To Community After Losing Election

The aftermath of March 28 and April 11 polls for the people of Sabo community in Ibadan is not something pleasant as they woke up on a Sunday morning only to discover a Transformer donated to the community few days ago by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate, Senator Teslim Folarin, being carted away by some aides of the former Senate Leader.

The PDP governorship candidate who came fourth in the Oyo State Gubernatorial election had reportedly conceded defeat on Saturday night apparently having seen the signals that the incoming polls result did not favour him.

However, the alarm raised by members of the Sabo community on sighting those removing the Transformer in the early hours of Sunday did not move the perpetrators who eventually removed the transformer to an unknown place.

Man “Hugs” Transformer After He Sees Girlfriend with Another Man

The most annoying part of this story is the fact that the story is really true. A witness told us that a man saw his girlfriend simply talking with a man he had suspected the girlfriend was cheating with; and that was enough reason to go hug a transformer.

Our source told us that it happened in Vom, Plateau State and the man dried up after his encounter with the transformer. His body was found close to the transformer and the girlfriend confirmed that his action was probably triggered by her conversation with the other man.
