Panama Papers: T.B. Joshua’s Shell Company Revealed- Report

Files obtained by Premium Times from the massive leaked data of a Panamanian law firm, Mossack Fonseca, has now shown that Mr. Joshua and his wife, Evelyn, own Chillon Consultancy Limited, a company incorporated on June 20, 2006 at the British Virgin Island (BVI).

Both owners own one ordinary share each, although the company, with registration number 1033675, is authorized to issue a maximum “50,000 no par value Shares of a single class.”

It remains unclear what businesses Mr. Joshua transacted with the shell company which has no physical presence in Tortola, the largest and most inhabited island at the British Virgin Island.

Chillon Consultancy Limited uses the office address of its registered agent, Mossack Fonseca (Akara Bldg., 24 De Castro Street, Wickhams Cay 1, Road Town, Tortola) as its contact information in the British Virgin Island.

I Predicted South Africa’s Xenophobic Attacks – TB Joshua

A video has surfaced showing Nigerian pastor, T.B. Joshua, warning South Africans of a “youth revolt” in their nation which would result in deaths of “certain people”.

The clip, uploaded to Joshua’s popular YouTube channel Emmanuel TV, says the controversial cleric prophesied about the deadly xenophobic attacks spreading across South Africa on Sunday 28th July 2013.

“In the nation, South Africa, we should help them in prayer because I am seeing youth revolt,” the clip quotes Mr. Joshua as saying. “It will be very serious. A situation where youth will come out and… you learn that there is a protest. Some people were killed – certain people.”

Mr. Joshua’s prediction made the front cover of South African newspaper-based City Press newspaper in August 2013 when Julius Malema, the fiery leader of South Africa’s Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF), visited his church in Nigeria for “spiritual blessings”.

The clip was posted alongside a message from Mr. Joshua to South Africans. “If we fail to see that there are powers that cause people to be bowed down in bondage, we are going to fight the wrong battle,” he wrote, in a statement posted on the Nigerian pastor’s official Facebook page, followed by over 1.5 million people.

T.B Joshua Loses Suit to Stop Synagogue’s Collapse Probe

A Lagos High Court, sitting in Ikeja, on Friday, dismissed an application by Prophet Temitope Joshua, seeking to stop the coroner inquest into the collapse of a building in his church in Ikotun, Lagos, Synagogue Church for All Nations, in September, last year.

A coroner on Tuesday said he would within two weeks give his verdict into the causes of last year’s deadly building collapse at the compound of pastor TB Joshua.

Coroner Oyetade Komolafe has been probing the 12 September accident that killed 116 people, mostly South Africans, but the inquiry was stalled by a three-week judicial staff strike.

S.Africa to Repatriate Bodies of Nationals Killed in Synagogue Collapse

The South African government said Tuesday that it was ready to repatriate on the weekend the bodies of 81 of its nationals killed in a September church building collapse in Nigerian economic capital Lagos.

“We have 100 percent fool-proof plan that should we get a green light, we should be able to dispatch two chartered flights to Lagos so that Saturday evening we can be able to transport the remains to South Africa,” Jeff Radebe, a minister in the presidency told journalists.

Radebe, who is leading a powerful South African delegation to Nigeria over the repatriation of the bodies, said he met President Goodluck Jonathan in Abuja on Monday over the issue.

Radebe, the special envoy of President Jacob Zuma, said he discussed with the Nigerian leader “the need for the speeding up of the process of repatriating 81 South Africans who perished in the tragic event” of September 12 in Lagos.

T.B Joshua gets Arrest Threats

Leader of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), popularly known as Prophet T. B. Joshua, received an arrest warning, Wednesday from a coroner if he refuses to testify at an enquiry into the deaths of 116 people at his church collapse.

The coroner, Oyetade Komolafe debunks the arguments from the prophet’s lawyers that he should not be summoned because he did not directly witness the unfortunate tragedy of the collapse.

He said, “The court has the power to summon whoever it deems necessary to assist it,” Komlafe told the hearing in the city. The counsel should advise The Prophet to come. The church is not on trial. It’s not a matter of ego. Nobody is above the law. The court will be fair to all. If he is an institution with immunity, the court will not even go there. If the man refuses to come, he can be arrested… He has to appear. We summoned The Prophet. We summoned the contractors.”

He is due to give evidence on November 5, while the inquest has been adjourned until Thursday.

Contrary to other reports claiming that it is the headquarters of T.B. Joshua’s Synagogue Church of All Nations in Ikotun, Lagos that collapsed, our sources say that the building that collapsed is a six storey building under construction belonging to Prophet T. B Joshua.

Sources say the building had four storey flats already developed, while two were being added, before the collapse, adding that it was meant for visitors to lodge in when they come to the Synagogue. “The building is a bit far from the Synagogue Church building itself, but is close to the restaurant belonging to the church”, our source said.

Number of casualties has not been verified yet but other reports say 15 people have died, several trapped and many injured in the incident.

It has also been reported that people are not allowed to take pictures of the collapsed building as several phones belonging to individuals have been seized attempting to capture the image of the collapsed building.
