PDP National Secretary Blasts Bode George, South West Leaders

The ongoing crisis rocking the Peoples Democratic Party took another dimension during the weekend as the party’s National Secretary, Adewale Oladipo, publicly attacked the South-West leaders of the PDP for trying to tear the party apart.

The PDP secretary was reacting to a recent call by the South-West leaders on the members of the PDP National Working Committee to resign their positions.

Oladapo described the call as unfortunate, saying that the southwest leaders had lost focus.

The leaders had in a statement after their meeting in Ado Ekiti, insisted that the NWC members, including the National Chairman of the PDP, should resign over the party’s fallout in the just concluded general elections.

A former Deputy National Chairman of the PDP, Bode George, who read the statement, noted that some members need to exit so the party could rebuild its broken walls.

Reacting to George’s submission, Oladipo slammed the PDP leaders who could not deliver their wards during the elections could be seeking their resignation.

He said, “My attention has been drawn to a communiqué purportedly issued by some PDP leaders in the South-West calling on me, the National Secretary Prof. Adewale Oladipo and the National Auditor, Alhaji Adewole Adeyanju, to resign from the PDP NWC…”
