iPhone 8 Is Going To Be Insane, Rumours Have It

It feels like just yesterday we got the iPhone 7s, but the rumors about the iPhone 8 are already swirling. Technology! Who can keep up!?

Well, the answer is: Lots of people. And they have some guesses as to what computers we’re gonna be carrying around in our pockets this time next year. Thrillist reached out to a variety of Apple experts, and they have some informed guesses as to what’s up with the iPhone 8.

Here’s what they’re are saying: It’lk be available in three different models of varying sizes, images will “pop” better on screen, the home button is no more, and wireless charging.

The screen will be curved:

The overwhelming majority of iPhone 8 speculators believe it will feature a massive redesign. Most notably, the screen will be “bent” on either side, much like those on the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge or Note7 (RIP). Furthermore, both the front and back sides could be covered in glass and connected via a metal frame, much like they were in the iPhone 4 and 4s models. Here’s hoping the company manages to make it crack-proof this time.

And, it’ll have eye- and face-scanning technology:

The introduction of Touch ID on the iPhone 5s ushered in a whole new level of mobile security and convenience, but Apple plans to bump its biometrics integration up a notch or two. One rumor, prompted by a leak from a Chinese chip manufacturer, suggests the next iPhone will feature iris-scanning technology. That means you might be able to unlock your phone, or pay for stuff via Apple Pay, just by looking into a little camera on the screen. Considering Apple’s also acquired a number of companies that specialize in facial recognition in recent years, some speculate it may also come equipped with face-scanning tech, which would open the door to a whole bunch of new and exciting features and be a huge boon for the advancement of augmented reality.

That’s some straight-up Mission Impossible-style shit! And I both love it and am terrified of it. Bring it on, Apple.

Divorce Rumours Surround The Obamas

The rumors that Barack and Michelle Obama’s marriage is on the rocks are back, and this time they carry an added piece of gossip.

According to the National Enquirer, Michelle is unhappy with her husband because he has been getting his flirt on… with Caroline Kennedy. “He immediately started flirting up a storm, while Michelle could barely keep her temper in check. Even though both their families were there, it was really intense. At one point later, Barack ‘jokingly’ suggested to Caroline that the two go skinny-dipping! While they didn’t end up swimming nude, Barack and Caroline did sneak off to talk politics over lunch and swam in the ocean with the rest of the group. Before the day was over, Michelle was seething and furious. After they returned to their rented compound, she lit into Barack and read him the riot act,” said a source.

Bradley Cooper Sues French Magazine For Saying He’s Dating Irina Shayk

US actor Bradley Cooper has followed Leonardo Dicaprio’s footstep by suing a French magazine that reported his relationship with model, Irina Shayk. Leo sued same magazine Oops for reporting he got Rihanna pregnant. Are these actors just messing with this magazine or what? TMZ reports below..

Bradley Cooper’s relationship with supermodel Irina Shayk is nobody’s business — at least in France, according to a lawsuit the actor just filed against a magazine there. Cooper’s gunning for Oops! magazine over its May 28 story declaring … “L’amour au grand jour” … which loosely translates to … love out in the open.

In the lawsuit, filed by French legal eagle Vincent Tolédano … Cooper says he’s never spoken publicly about dating Shayk, so the story violates his right, under French law, to a “private life.” It sounds weird in this country, but Bradley might have a case in France where celebrities are treated more like your average Pierre … at least when it comes to privacy.

He’s suing Oops! for 11,000 euros. Interestingly, Tolédano just filed a similar lawsuit for Leonardo DiCaprio against the same magazine for its cover story claiming he knocked up Rihanna. Oops! tells us it has no idea why Cooper is suing, since their story is based on photos that ran in a Spanish magazine. In fact, those same photos were also everywhere in the U.S.

Rumours On Shekau’s Whereabouts Within Security Circles

With the unusual quietness from the vociferous Abubakar Shekau, supreme head of the Boko Haram in recent times, there are speculations within the security circles that the group may have been so disarrayed that it no longer has the luxury of issuing threats.

A military source told PRNigeria that since the declaration of the final push against the insurgents in the middle of February, and directive to clear all terrorists’ camps before May 29 handover date, the Nigerian troops have been on the lookout for Shekau and other commanders of Boko Haram.

Arsenal Transfer News: 4 Players Linked In Latest Rumors

With Lukas Podolski now an Inter Milan player for at least the rest of the season, Arsenal are expected to press ahead with their plans to add to their squad in the January transfer window. Podolski completed his loan move to the Italian giants on Monday, and it would be a surprise were that to be Arsenal’s last activity in the transfer market this month.

With injuries currently ruling out Mikel Arteta, Aaron Ramsey and Jack Wilshere, manager Arsene Wenger recently stated that his priority was to reinforce his midfield. However, it appears that the Gunners will have to wait for a man long linked to the Emirates and who seemed ideally equipped to bring some much-needed steel to the side. Despite pushing for a transfer last summer, Morgan Schneiderlin has stated that he now expects to remain with Southampton for the remainder of the season.

Also thought to be interesting Tottenham, Schneiderlin has been a key part of Southampton’s impressive first half of the season that sees them riding high in fourth place in the Premier League. And he has suggested that he won’t be trying to force through an exit this month as he did in the last transfer window.

“It’s always difficult to leave in January,” he told French football show Téléfoot, according to the Daily Mail. “I think I’ll finish the season at Southampton and we’ll see what will happen next. I don’t set my mind on these things anymore. What should happen will happen. Since this summer, I learned that you should never think that you’re gone before you actually did.”

Arsenal have also suffered more than their fair share of injuries in defense, where the club’s options are already limited. With Laurent Koscielny and Mathieu Debuchy now fit, it remains to be seen whether Wenger still intends to sign a reinforcement, as he has previously suggested. If he does, he could again find that one of the club’s leading targets is unavailable until the summer. Among the center-backs most keenly linked with Arsenal has been West Ham’s Winston Reid. His manager Sam Allardyce has previously insisted that the New Zealand international won’t be going anywhere in January, although he now appears resigned to losing him when his contract expires at the end of the season.

“There is not future for Winston Reid at West Ham United at the moment,” Sam Allardyce said at a press conference on Monday. “The only future for Winston at the moment is that his contract finishes the 30th June. He hasn’t said that he is or he isn’t going to sign but you’d air on the back that he isn’t by the feel of it, by the look of it at this moment of time. So I’d say that its highly unlikely that Winston’s going to sign for us based on what people are saying to me.”

Certainly it now appears that Arsenal have some interest in Saint-Étienne center-back Loic Perrin. The 29-year-old was recently reported as something of a surprising target for the Gunners and he has confirmed that there has been an approach, although as yet not an official one.

“I was contacted personally. Arsenal are interested,” he told French publication Le Progres, reports the Daily Mirror. “But for now, there is still no contact with Saint-Etienne.”

The performance of Wojciech Szczesny in the 2-0 defeat to Southampton on New Year’s Day, when the goalkeeper was at least in part culpable for both goals, has led to further rumors that Wenger could be looking for a new signing between the posts. With Arsenal having only signed Colombia international David Ospina last summer that looks unlikely, especially with Chelsea now confirming that the most coveted goalkeeper around right now won’t be moving this month. Petr Cech has lost his place this season to Thibaut Courtois, but as third-choice goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer completed a transfer to Leicester City, Jose Mourinho stated that there was “no chance” that Cech would follow suit.
