Post-Snow Photoshoot

Hey guys!

Firstly, I’d like to apologise for not having a post over the last few weeks. I took a break from photography in December because I had exams in January. I finally finished exams last week so I was eager to get my camera out and take a few pictures.

I usually do not have enough time to take pictures, as I am still in school and when I’m not in school, I am in the library. But luckily I found a way to fit photography in. I finish school early on Fridays so I decided to take my camera to school every Friday.

Last Friday I did a shoot with my friend, Chisara. It was supposed to be a snow shoot, but the snow had almost disappeared when I was ready to shoot 🙁 I’m not sure if it will snow again, but if it does I will be running out with my camera immediately.

I had a great time taking these pictures with Chisara and I’m quite happy with the way they turned out.

I hope you like them as much as I do.

WordPress changed their photo settings so I am still trying to understand it.

I have posted today’s pictures on my website instead. Check them out here!

Chisara.

Hello everyone!

Today’s post is dedicated to my very beautiful Nigerian and German friend, Chisara.

I did a photoshoot with her and a few others on Friday and I am extremely pleased with the results. I think these pictures are some of my best. I’m not sure whether it’s because I’ve been practicing a lot or whether the weather worked in my favour, as it was sunny on that day, which is something we don’t see very often in London.

I hope you love the pictures as much as I do.

I have a few more pictures from the photoshoot that I haven’t edited yet, as I have been very busy with school work. But I’ll edit them during the week and you can check for them on my Facebook page or my website.

If Kenya were a person, it would look like her…

As you all know, I carry my camera with me everywhere I go. I usually don’t carry it with me to school because I’m scared of losing my baby. Besides, I travel via the same route everyday and nothing interesting happens, so it’s pretty pointless. I also have lots of books to carry.

Anyway, I decided to take my camera to school on Friday because I assumed everyone would be dressed up. Luckily for me, Comfort was also at school and she looked beautiful. Absolutely beautiful.

You all remember Comfort, right? The beautiful Kenyan model with a great smile? Yeah I thought so. I went up to her and asked if we could do a quick photoshoot during lunch and she said yes.

We went to the back of the school building and I spent about 20 minutes with her. I’ve been trying to experiment with lighting, so I was glad when the sun came out for a bit. Working with Comfort was so much fun. She doesn’t know it, but she has been a great help to me, as she is an experienced model. Comfort was very comfortable in front of the camera.

Haha, see what I did there? No? Okay.

Anyway, I’ve learnt an awful lot from her, in terms of directing the model.

I am really pleased with the pictures I got and I hope you like the best images I’ve chosen for this post.

Did I tell you Comfort wants me to take pictures for her portfolio? She’s hiring me as her personal photographer, but don’t worry. I’ll still have a soft spot in my heart for anyone else.
