Sen. Gumba Lauds Buhari’s Exceptional Performance

Sen. Adamu Gumba (PDP), former senator representing Bauchi Southern Senatorial District has applauded President Muhammadu Buhari for his “exceptional’’ performance since assuming office.

Gumba praised Buhari in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on the sideline of the PDP State Congress held in Bauchi on Thursday.

“Although I am in a party in the opposition, you have to accept if somebody does well. I can assure you Mr President has done excellently.

“You could remember even how he restored the dignity of this nation in the global community.

“Nigeria is now being respected and so he has done a lot; you see leadership of the world particularly the developed nations are always willing to receive him and to talk on investment, to talk on anti-terrorist activities and many other aspects.

“He is in London to discuss or on a conference on anti-corruption. So I can assure you, this man has done exceptionally well.

“There may be hardship in the land but look at it, the reduction of terrorist activities in the country and the image of this country that he has built overseas is so important to us that this hardship that we are suffering will likely disappear within a very short period.’’

Aretha Franklin Makes Obama Cry With Epic “Natural Woman” Performance

The world was reminded of Aretha Franklin’s greatness on Tuesday when CBS aired the pre-taped Kennedy Center Honors celebration from Washington, D.C. In paying tribute to Carole King, one of several honorees, Queen Aretha completely brought the house down with a performance of her 1968 classic, “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman.”

It was so powerful that Carole King herself couldn’t stay in her seat. Gina Rodriguez sang along while Viola Davis put her hands up in the air, as you do when you’re in the presence of a legend. Barack Obama also cried, giving this fine nation another great moment to remember in GIF-form.

Why Justin Bieber Cried After His VMAs Performance

After performing at the VMAs for the first time since he was “that sweet kid with the haircut,” Justin Bieber broke down in tears.

When the crying started, the Internet was ablaze with questions. As Buzzfeed asked, was his harness too tight? Was he not allowed into Taylor Swift’s clique? Did Nicki Minaj and Miley Cyrus’ spat upset him?

The answer, as it turns out, is that the Biebs was just plain overwhelmed. According to a source close to Bieber, who spoke to Gossip Cop, “He worked so hard not just on the performance but himself. He didn’t know how people would accept him. When he saw them on their feet cheering, he was overwhelmed.”

The source also noted, “Last time he was on an award show he was booed. This time he was cheered for. It meant a lot to him.”
