Oprah Shows Off Her Weight Loss Progress On Latest Cover Of O Magazine

Oprah Winfrey is fully embracing her “best body.”

For the first time ever, the lifestyle guru posed with nine regular women for the April cover of O Magazine in the name of living their healthiest lives.

“This month I join forces with a legion of women, all of us declaring a win-win for our bodies and ourselves,”

Winfrey, 62, says. “Because I know this for sure: With age comes the understanding and appreciation of your most important asset, your health.”It’s all part of her new-found approach to losing weight.

Winfrey, who became a part-owner of Weight Watchers in October, announced in January that she’s dropped 26 lbs. since starting the program – all while indulging in her favorite food: bread.
She previously said that the program has helped her completely change her mindset about weight loss.

Oprah Winfrey Made $12 Million From One Tweet About Bread

Oprah Winfrey just made more news, saying she lost 26 pounds on her Weight Watchers diet. Even better, her wallet got a lot fatter. According to Market Watch, Winfrey racked in a whopping $12 million for merely writing about how she was able to lose weight and still eat bread.

“I lost 26 pounds, and I have eaten bread every single day,” she said in her testimonial clip.
An hour after O sent her story into the Twitterverse, Weight Watchers shares climbed slightly over $2 a share, and since Winfrey owns roughly 6 million shares, the surge in share prices made the celeb $12 million just like that.
Oprah as a board member and large share owner of the company. She’s made a fortune since her October investment. Using a price of $13 a share from Tuesday afternoon, that means she’s made $61 million on her total investment.
On a per-pound basis, that’s $2.36 million of profits gained for each pound lost.
She has the best of both worlds: getting richer while getting slimmer.
Oprah’s October investment came at a price of $6.79 per share. She bought about 6.36 million shares, which cost her $43.2 million.
She was also granted 3.51 million options to buy shares at that same $6.79 price. Combining shares and options, her total stake is worth almost 10 million shares — 9.88 million shares to be more specific. The stock has practically doubled in that time, even including the rapid decline in the past several weeks.

Bizarre Moment Oprah Winfrey Gets Ambushed By Man Claiming To Be Her Secret Son

Oprah Winfrey was ambushed by a man claiming to be her ‘secret son’ after she left a recent taping of The Late Show with Stephen Colbert.
The 61-year-old media mogul was photographed as she attempted to deal with the man, Calvin Mitchell, during the awkward encounter outside Colbert’s New York studio.
Mitchell told Radar on Wednesday that Winfrey once asked his mother to adopt him at age 11 after he and the billionaire mogul met on the 1992 set of ABC’s movie-of-the-week, There Are No Children Here.
In the interview which labelled him Oprah’s ‘long-lost secret son’, Mitchell claimed that he has been estranged from Oprah for 20 years.
Mitchell said:

‘I want to ask Oprah, “Why did you leave me? Why did you leave me?” I’m still empty. I’m still searching. I don’t have closure to this. I just don’t understand.’

Oprah was seen acknowledging Mitchell outside the studios following her October 15 TV appearance and pressed her hand against his chest in the familiar way she frequently does with fans – before he left his phone number with her reps for further contact.
When he was younger, Oprah would allegedly send gifts to the boy with notes addressed: ‘To my son Calvin, I love you.’
She also allegedly paid for Mitchell to attend the private Christian boarding school, The Piney Woods School, in Mississippi until he dropped out at age 17.

‘I was young. I made a dumb decision, and Oprah wouldn’t forgive me. I feel like what she did was wrong,’ said Calvin, who later became suicidal after she ‘abandoned’ him.

‘She told me, “Calvin, just try to work it out. You can do it. Just hang in there.” She was trying to inspire me to do what was right. But even after the long pep talk she gave me, I still left.’

He added: ‘I just wanted to come home, and Oprah didn’t understand that.’

Oprah has always been incredibly generous in donating money to young students, having given 400 scholarships to Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia and the school she opened for girls in South Africa.
