Fayemi, Dakingari Shun National Honours

Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, his Kebbi State counterpart, Saidu Dakingari and the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, were conspicuously absent at the national honours ceremony where President Goodluck Jonathan conferred award on 313 Nigerians and friends of the country.

Fayemi, who was to be honoured with the Commander of the Order of Niger, neither showed up nor sent any representative to the ceremony on his behalf.

Similarly, Kebbi state governor, Saidu Dakingari did not show up at the event, which took place at the International Christian Centre, Abuja. No reason was given for his action.
