Vin Diesel Confirms New Fast and Furious Trilogy and Reveals Release Dates

Who needs just Fast 8 when you can have Fast 8, Fast 9 and Fast 10?!

Vin Diesel took to Instagram to confirm what we’ve all been waiting for—Fast and Furious 8. But that’s not all he did. The muscular star also revealed that there would be an entire trilogy, rounding out the franchise to an even 10. Fast 8 is set for release Apr. 14, 2017, while Fast 9 and Fast 10 are hitting theaters on Apr. 19, 2019, and Apr. 2, 2021, respectively.

2021 seems a long way off, but hopefully production will keep in line with the schedule! Diesel teased Fast 8 for a little while before it was finally confirmed in October that it would definitely be happening. Straight Outta Compton director F. Gary Gray is taking charge on the next installment, announcing the news on social media.

“I could not have asked for better partners than Vin Diesel, Neal H. Moritz, & the Universal Studios Entertainment family,” he posted. “Together we are excited to bring you the next chapter in the Fast & Furious saga. ?#?FastFamily.”

Although Gray formally announced the news in October, other cast members such as Michelle Rodriguez had been teasing fans with a potential follow-up. “We need a good reason to move on after Paul [Walker],” she told E! News in September. “And being that this is a global franchise now, it’s not just the American baby, it’s important that we consider moving on and take it seriously.”

She continued, “But for us as a cast, I think we need a reason and it needs to have heart, so hopefully we’ll find it, you know? And somebody who’s passionate about directing it—I think that’s the most important thing is finding a good director.”

Thankfully they did!

Diesel promised to “deliver one last trilogy to end saga” in a September Facebook post, but if these three turn out to be as successful as all of the others, maybe, just maybe, they’ll keep on going.

Get ready to race, everyone.

Pope Francis To Appear In A Hollywood Movie ‘Beyond The Sun’ ,The Vatican Confirms

Pope Francis is set to feature in a movie ‘Beyond the Sun’ which will make him officially the first Roman Catholic pope to play himself in a big screen production. The movie will be a family adventure story where children from different cultures emulate the apostles while searching for Christ in the world around them, according to AMBI Pictures, the makers of the film.

The idea for the film came from the Holy Father, who approached the filmmakers at AMBI Pictures, asking them to produce a movie that could effectively portray Gospel passages & parables to children

All proceeds from “Beyond the Sun” will go to El Almendro and Los Hogares de Cristo, charities in
Argentina that provide support for at-risk children and young adults in need. AMBI pictures co-founder Andrea Iervolino said in a statement that working with the Holy Father will be a highlight of his career. “Our excitement and gratitude toward His Holiness, Pope Francis participating in this film is beyond words.

“This is not just a movie for us, it’s a message, and who better to have on your side to deliver an important societal and spiritual message than the Pope.”

According to the Vatican, the pope won’t act in the movie, but video clips of the pope will be shown in the movie. Monsignor Dario Edoardo Vigan? of the Vatican stated “video clips of the Pope could appear in the film.” ”The Pope is not an actor”

Watch: The New ‘Batman v Superman’ Trailer Confirms That Major Villain

https://youtu.be/yViIi3gie2c

The Internet finally got a little bit of justice.
There has been a lot of speculation about “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” since the first trailer came out. Some think The Joker will show up in the film, others think Lex Luthor is manipulating Batman or Superman and some people believe that a new villain is being mysteriously left out of the footage.
Well, it turns out you were right … about all of it.
A new trailer debuted Wednesday on “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” and it has everyone freaking out. In
addition to showing Batman and Superman meeting for the first time, we see Lex Luthor putting himself at the center of the conflict between the superheroes. Also, though there isn’t a Joker appearance, Joker is referenced when Bruce Wayne says, “Maybe it’s the Gotham City in me. We just have a bad history with freaks dressed like clowns.” (Dang. Chills.) And finally, Doomsday is confirmed!
Doomsday is the monster that kills Superman in the infamous “Death of Superman” storyline. An appearance has been rumored for a while, and now that the villain is here, it might be time to start worrying about The Man of Steel.
Can it be March already? This needs to come out now.
“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” hits theaters March 25, 2016.

14-Year Old Kills Brother With Father’s Gun While Re-Enacting Movie Scene In Enugu

The sleepy town of Umueze, Enugwu-Achi, Oji-River Local Government Area, Enugu State, was last Monday thrown into mourning, following the death of three-year-old Akachukwu in the hands of his 14-year-old brother Ebubechukwu, who used their father’s gun to shoot him dead.

The brothers were said to be re-enacting movie scenes, not knowing that the gun was loaded.

According to a source, their father, Christian Odika, had left for their village square at Obodo-Ukwu Enugwu-Akwu, for a meeting, when the tragic news reached him. It was gathered that on getting to his house, he met his son, Akachukwu, in a pool of his own blood.

Police Public Relations Officer, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, said: “Investigations into the tragic incident have commenced to ascertain the remote causes, so the law can take its course.”

Gunman Kills 2 People And Injures 7 In A Louisiana Movie Theatre

A 58 year old white gunman opened fire on movie goers last night in a Louisiana movie theater, killing 3 people, including himself and injuring as many as 7 people, some of whom are in critical condition, a police official said.

City Marshal Brian Pope said that the gunman opened fire at the Grand Theatre in Lafayette, Louisiana where people were watching the comedy, ‘Trainwreck’ before turning the gun on himself.

No one knows his motive for the shooting yet. Police are still investigating.

Gov of Louisiana, Gov Bobby Jindal says the gun man shot 2 friends who are friends were together when the gunman started shooting. He said he was told one friend took the bullet for her friend and in the process stopped the shooter from killing more people.

His name hasn’t been released yet. Will update as I get more info.

Update:
At a second news conference late Thursday, authorities said they had found the gunman’s vehicle with a suspicious package inside. A bomb squad and hazmat team had been called in to assist and the area near the theater was evacuated. Colonel Mike Edmonson of the Louisiana State Police said that there are no other suspects apart from the deceased shooter.

The gunman opened fire with a handgun at the Grand 16 Theatre in Lafayette, approximately 40 miles east of Baton Rouge. Authorities said approximately 100 people were inside the theater at the time.
The shooting happened about 20 minutes into a 7 p.m. showing of the movie “Trainwreck,” said Katie Domingue.

“We heard a loud pop we thought was a firecracker,” Domingue told the newspaper. Domingue said she saw “an older white man” standing up and shooting down into the theater, but not in her direction.

“He wasn’t saying anything. I didn’t hear anybody screaming either,” Domingue said.

Domingue said  she heard about six shots before she and her fiance ran to the nearest exit, leaving behind her shoes and purse.

Jalen Fernell said he was watching the film “Southpaw” with friends in an adjacent theater when he heard the first shots. Initially, he thought they were part of the movie.

“About five seconds later, sirens went off and I realized it wasn’t the movie,” said Fernell, who added that moviegoers were told to leave the area over a loudspeaker. Outside the theater, the 20-year-old said “I saw a woman lying on the ground outside with blood everywhere. She was shot in the leg.”

“We didn’t know what to do. You’re scared to walk through the parking lot. You don’t know if the guy’s in a car, hiding in the parking lot,” Fernell said. He watched as police with assault rifles entered the building and described hearing a barrage of gunshots “like a war going on.”

Fernell said he heard from a police car radio that six people were down in Theater 14. After more gunshots, he heard that the suspect was down and had committed suicide.

Police said they had closed other theaters in the area as a precaution. State and federal personnel were on hand to assist in the investigation.

Louisiana Gov. Bobby Jindal arrived at the scene approximately two hours after the shooting. At a news conference, Jindal praised the response of local law enforcement and asked for prayers on behalf of the victims.

“The best thing anybody can do right now is to think about them, pray for them, shower them with your love is the most important thing we will get through this,” Jindal said. “We will get through this. We are a resilient community. This is an awful night for Lafayette. This is an awful night for Louisiana. This is an awful night for the United States.”

Comedian Amy Schumer, the star of “Trainwreck,” tweeted her condolences.
