MDCN nabs fake female doctor in Abuja

A young woman who had been posing as a medical doctor for years using forged documents has been arrested by the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN) on Wednesday.

This is the first time the MDCN will successfully arrest a fake female doctor.

According to a report by Daily Trust, the fake doctor, Angela Njide Nwosu, was arrested on the first day of her new N280,000-a-month job at a newly opened private hospital in Bwari Area Council of Abuja after its management demanded MDCN to verify its new staff doctors.

Following her arrest, Nwosu claimed to have graduated from the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) medical school in 2005 and thereafter did her housemanship at the UNNTH.

However, she couldn’t answer simple questions any medical student is expected to know.
