AIB Releases Crashed Bristow Chopper Manifest

Nine days after the Sikosky S76 C+ chopper belonging to Bristow Helicopters marked 5N-BGD crashed into Lagos Lagoon at Oworonshoki area of the Third Mainland Bridge, Accident Investigation Bureau, AIB, yesterday released the flight manifest to the public.

The manifest confirmed that 12 souls were on board the ill-fated flight, including two crew members. AIB in its statement did not, however, clarify names of the survivors, but Bristow Helicopters in an earlier statement confirmed that the two crew members, Capt. Joseph Wyatt and co-pilot, Peter Kayode Bello, did not survive the crash.

Online statement signed by spokesman of AIB, Mr. Tunji Oketunbi, gave names of those on board as Mr. Ita Ekpeyong, Joshua Emekeme, Dolu Ebiejuara, Onoriode Onojete, Chukwuma Erise and Solomon Udeh.

Others are Chidi Ukwunta, Iniala Opaimi, Chris Abua, Chukwudi Onah, Joseph Wyatt (captain) and Peter Kayode Bello (co-pilot). It was, however, learnt that the survivors are Joshua Emekeme, Dolu Ebiejuara, Onoriode Onojete, Solomon Udeh, Iniala Opaimi and Chukwudi Onah.
