Rep. Rabiu Garba (APC-Jigawa) on Thursday said he had donated 100 beds to the General Hospital, Malammadori, Jigawa.
Garba, who represents Malammadori/Kaugama Federal Constituency, said this while fielding questions from the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Malammadori.
The legislator said he had also donated bed sheets to the hospital.
Garba said that the gesture was to complement government efforts at improving the standard of the hospital and enhance healthcare delivery system.
He said that he had also constructed embankment at Tashena and Arkin communities to control flooding in the area.
“I have procured hand pumps to improve water supply at Arkin and Hadayin villages,’’ he added.
Besides, Garba said that he donated N400,000 for the construction of classroom blocks at a Qur’anic school in Malammadori.
The lawmaker called on the people to always protect clinics, schools, water and other facilities provided by government in their respective communities.
He spoke through Alhaji Ango Malammadori, the APC Zonal Chairman.
