Kylie Jenner Lands 7 Figure Deal As Puma’s New Face

Us Weekly reports this morning that Kylie Jenner has signed a big-bucks contract to be the new face of sportswear brand Puma. Her role will technically be as an “ambassador” — though not at the same level as Puma’s global brand ambassador Rihanna, thxvm, because she’ll just be wearing the clothes, not designing them.

While neither Kylie’s team nor Puma have officially confirmed the news, she has occasionally been spotted in staged-looking paparazzi photos wearing Puma (as well as in selfies), and hey, she did retweet a story on the subject this morning, so there you go.

Kaduna Recovering Illegally Acquired Land, Not Demolition of Houses – El-Rufai

Kaduna State Governor, Mallam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai, Tuesday said he has no intention to demolish anybody’s house as it was being peddled, but to recover  school and hospital plots of land that were illegally acquired by some people.

Speaking through his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr.  Samuel Aruwan at a news conference at the Government House, Kaduna, the governor said it was necessary to clarify government action on the issue of encroachment on land belonging to schools and hospitals in the state so as to dispel rumours that houses were going to be demolished.

According to the governor, the government is only interested in recovering the land and not to demolish any property and urged the people not to entertain any fair.

He added that  the recovery exercise will kick off Wednesday, explaining that the exercise is not targeted at witch-hunting anybody on political, religious or ethnic basis.

“Since after the town hall meeting in Zaria on Sunday, some people have started a campaign of calumny that El-Rufai has come to embark on demolition of  houses in Kaduna, but to set the records straight, we are only asking those who illegally occupied government owned institutions’ land to vacate the land.

“This government cannot allow the encroachment on schools and hospitals lands to continue. For instance, when we visited the state library in Zaria and Alhudahuda College, private buildings have almost taken over the institutions. This has serious effect on the learning atmosphere of such institutions.

Enugu Govt Wants FG To Settle Disputed Border With Ebonyi

The Deputy Governor of Enugu State, Mrs Cecilia Ezeilo, has called on the National Boundary Commission to intervene in a boundary dispute between the state and Ebonyi.

The deputy governor made the call in Enugu on Wednesday when she received her counterpart from Ebonyi, Dr Kelechi Igwe.

She said the two neighbouring states had maintained a robust relationship and efforts should be made to sustain it.

The deputy governor appealed to the residents of the disputing communities to sheathe their swords and allow the relevant government agencies to settle the matter in the interest of peace.

Ezeilo commended the Ebonyi deputy governor for initiating the peaceful consultation, adding that the state government would do everything to bring the tussle to an amicable end.

Earlier, Igwe said that he was in Enugu to work out a lasting solution to the impasse between Ihenta in Akaeze, Ebonyi and Okpanku in Aninri, Enugu before it degenerated.

He said that it had become imperative to get the affected communities to respect protocols established in respect of the boundary pending a final resolution.

The deputy governor said that the two states needed to work out a lasting solution by mapping out a permanent boundary in the designated areas.

“We have to do everything within the law to protect the lives and property of our people,” he said.

Igwe solicited the cooperation of the residents of the concerned communities in finding a lasting solution to the problem.
