There was pandemonium at the Lagos State Model College, Igbonla, Epe, yesterday, Thursday, January 12, 2016, due to a fire incident that gutted one of the boys’ hostels.

Luckily no lives were lost in the incident but the inferno razed parts of the hostel affecting clothes, beddings and other personal effects of the students.

Omojuwa.Com learnt that all the students in the hostels were quickly relocated to a safer place during the fire, which cause was yet to be ascertained.

It was also gathered that the school authorities made use of fire extinguishers which could not put out the fire before an emergency call was placed to fire fighters.

Furthermore, the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, LASEMA, announced that its Emergency Response Unit embarked on a rescue operation at the scene to put off the fire.
