Nollywood top actress, Kate Henshaw’s Lekki Phase 1 residence went up in flames on Thursday, June 25, 2015.
According to a report by The Cable, the house caught fire at about 3PM on Thursday afternoon, which attracted a huge crowd to the residence as neighbours struggled to put out the fire.

Eyewitnesses report that the fire outbreak might have been caused by an electric surge.
The actress who escaped unhurt was however reported to have lost personal properties and valuable items to the fire.

Actress cum politician has picked her nomination form to run for the Cross Rivers State House Of Assembly under the PDP umbrella.
Some are of the opinion that the PDP umbrella is a disadvantage for Kate, while some are of the opinion that she might not even scale through the primaries in a male dominated party.
That however, hasn’t halted the political ambition of Kate, who is busy making headway to ensure she achieves what she has set ahead of her. But come to think of it, what are her chances of becoming the representative for the Cross Rivers State House Of Assembly?
The beautiful 43 year old actress, Kate Henshaw, who has made her intentions public as regards to representing Calabar Munical/ Odukpani Federal Constituency under PDP; is seriously working towards achieving that. Her post early this afternoon on Instagram shows her with the Governor of Cross Rivers State, His Excellency, Senator Liyel Imoke at the United Nations Youth Day.
With the primaries drawing closer, her success with the election will determine whether she will join the once actors, now politicians league, like Richard Mofe Damijo, Bob Manuel Udokwu, Hilda Dokubo and Tony Muonagor (Tony One Week), who have already tasted success in the sphere of politics.
