Erstwhile Special Adviser on Political Affairs to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Prof. Rufai Alkal has said that the greatest obstacle to President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration is not the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other political parties, but some of the over ambitious leaders and members of his party, the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Alkali said from the reactions of some leaders of the APC to the events at the National Assembly show that Buhari’s greatest problem is the people in the leadership of the APC.
Speaking to journalists on Sunday in Abuja, Alkali said the outcome of the result at the National Assembly has vindicated the PDP stance on the APC that it was not prepared to govern a complex nation like Nigeria.
He noted that Buhari would have to contend with some leaders of the party who believe they have invested so much in his election and cannot wait any longer to collect returns from their investment.
