IPAC Urges President Buhari To Bring Corrupt Politicians To Book

The Inter-Party Advisory Council of Nigeria (IPAC), has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to bring all corrupt politicians to trial.

 

This call is contained in a statement signed by Mr Ogbuehi Dike, National Publicity Secretary, IPAC and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Wednesday.

 

The statement commended the President’s war against corruption, urging him to leave no stone unturned in bringing corrupt public officers to book.

 

“We commend Mr President for his war against corruption; he should not leave any stone unturned in bringing corrupt public officers to book.

 

It will serve as a deterrent to other public office holders who loot the national treasury’’, it stated.

 

It commended security agents in the fight against insurgency for the nation to be freed from terror attacks.

 

It called on the Federal Government to embrace dialogue in resolving security challenge posed by various separatist groups.

 

It called on Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), to conduct free, fair, credible, peaceful and acceptable elections and commended it for success of 2015 general elections.

 

The statement urged the commission to ensure that elections were concluded as scheduled to avoid political tension and upheaval inherent in inconclusive polls.

 

The statement also urged Christians to emulate the humility, love and sacrifice of Jesus Christ in this season of Christmas.
It called on Christians to therefore pray for peace, unity and progress of the country.
