“I don’t know when Jesus will return” – Man City Boss, Pep Guardiola admits.

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola has expressed uncertainty over the injury of Gabriel Jesus even though, Pep Guardiola is confident Gabriel Jesus’ injury will not rob Manchester City of their momentum.

City’s have found greater consistency in recent weeks with new signing Jesus at the heart of their improved form.

But the impressive 19-year-old, who has scored three goals in five appearances, now faces up to three months out after breaking his foot in Monday’s Premier League victory at Bournemouth.

Manager Guardiola said: “We played Tottenham without Gabriel and we played really good against one of the best teams in the Premier League. We did very good things with Gabriel but also without him.

“So I am sad and also I am sad for him. Like (Ilkay) Gundogan, we miss them a lot, it’s tough for them.

“But we had seven strikers, we are going to use another one and of course Sergio (Aguero) will be so important for us.”

Jesus is now in Barcelona having been operated on by renowned surgeon Dr Ramon Cugat.

There is a possibility the youngster could be back in action before the end of the season but Guardiola admits he is unsure.

He said: “He comes back when he is fit, I don’t know, at the end of the season or next season. People say between two and three months.”

She wrote on her Instagram page: “Thank you Lord God for save surgery, receive all thy glory in Jesus name Amen”.

Though we understand that the NFF footed the bill for Ebi’s surgery, the Federation is still defaulting on bonuses to the injured defender and her teammates that did Nigeria proud yet again at the AWCON 2016.

The NFF through their General Secretary, Mohammed Sanusi on Tuesday pledged to pay players and officials of the senior women national team, Super Falcons, all their entitlements for winning the Women Africa Cup of Nations the eighth time, saying the money was not readily available at the moment.

Chelsea captain Terry out for two to three weeks

Chelsea captain John Terry is set for up to three weeks on the sidelines after suffering a muscle injury.

The centre-back only recently returned to action after shaking off an ankle problem he sustained against Swansea City in September.

Terry has been limited to six minutes of Premier League action since, though he did play the entire game in Chelsea’s EFL Cup defeat to West Ham last month.

The 35-year-old featured for Chelsea’s Under-23 side on Monday, but will now not be available for at least the next fortnight.

Speaking ahead of Saturday’s meeting with London rivals Tottenham, manager Antonio Conte said: “For tomorrow Terry and [John Obi] Mikel aren’t available.

“John has a muscular problem and Obi will train with us again next week.

“It’s a pity [for Terry] because he recovered well from his last injury and now he has to start again.”

Winger Willian has not featured for Chelsea since the win at Southampton last month.

The Brazil international has been linked with a reunion with Jose Mourinho at Manchester United.

But Conte said: “Willian has come back, now it’s important to find good form because in this period he was unlucky.

“It’s important now to be focused on the work, Willian is an important player for us and I count on him a lot.”

As for the three who did not participate fully in the training this morning, it is not important injuries, we are only taking precautions.

Cocu: I Hope Man Utd Fans Don’t Boo Moreno

The Mexican defender is expected to be targeted by the home fans after he injured Luke Shaw in their last encounter but the PSV coach hopes that is not the case

PSV coach Philip Cocu is hopeful Manchester United supporters will be forgiving of Hector Moreno, who inflicted a broken leg on Luke Shaw in September.

Cocu’s PSV make the trip to Manchester for their Champions League Group B clash at Old Trafford on Wednesday, with United full-back Shaw a notable absentee.

Shaw suffered a horrific double fracture in his right leg following a robust challenge from Moreno in the 2-1 reverse loss in Eindhoven two months ago.

Moreno and Cocu visited Shaw in hospital after the incident and the travelling PSV fans will unveil a “get well soon” banner for the England international at the stadium.

Speaking ahead of the game, Cocu was asked if he thought Moreno would be targeted by United fans and the Dutchman replied: “I hope not.

“It was a very bad injury. Hopefully Luke Shaw will get back soon.

“He is a fantastic player. The most important thing will be that he is back on his feet shortly, joining the team and playing for Manchester United, but we don’t know what will happen tomorrow in the game.”

United top the group on seven points from four matches, one clear of PSV and Wolfsburg.

Shaw Remains In Eindhoven Hospital After Surgery

Following his leg break in the defeat to PSV, Manchester United have confirmed that the left back will remain in hospital for observation

Manchester United have confirmed that Luke Shaw will stay in hospital in Eindhoven to begin his recovery after undergoing surgery on a broken leg.

The England full-back was stretchered off in the first half of United’s 2-1 Champions League defeat to PSV on Tuesday following a challenge from Hector Moreno.

It was later confirmed that Shaw had suffered a double leg fracture and the former Southampton man underwent surgery later on after being taken to hospital.

United have since released an update on the 20-year-old’s condition and paid tribute to the care he is receiving in the Netherlands.

“Luke Shaw underwent surgery on his injury on Tuesday night and will remain in hospital in Eindhoven to continue his early recovery,” a statement released by the club on Wednesday said.

“Manchester United are grateful for the excellent care he is receiving and would like to thank everyone who has sent messages of support.”

Moreno apologised for the challenge after the match, insisting the unfortunate contact with Shaw’s leg was entirely accidental.

PSV recovered from Memphis Depay’s goal on his return to Philips Stadion to secure a 2-1 win thanks to headers from Moreno and Luciano Narsingh.
