Newlywed Couple Had Their First Dance In The Middle Of A Highway (WATCH)
Rather than panic after finding themselves stuck in a major traffic jam while en route to their wedding reception on Saturday, the couple in question instead decided to bring the party to U.S. Route 35 — by enjoying their first dance right in the middle of the highway. With their photographers and videographer Levi Curby of Levi Curby Media by their side to help capture the magical moment, the as-yet-unidentified pair began slow-dancing to Alison Krauss’ “When You Say Nothing At All” surrounded by the bright glow of car headlights.
WLWT reports the couple was soon after “rescued and taken to their reception, where they were greeted with loud cheers” — and presumably had a proper first dance in front of all their loved ones. But needless to say, a couple that can still have fun together when stuck in traffic on their wedding day is clearly a couple made to last.
Freezing Fayose’s Account: Assembly Protests Against EFCC, Holds Plenary On Highway
As part of the efforts to drum support for Governor Ayodele Fayose over the freezing of his accounts by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) , members of the state House of Assembly on Wednesday staged a protest by holding its plenary on the highway to express their disenchantment with the action of the anti-graft agency.
They lambasted the EFCC for flouting section 308 of the constitution which conferred absolute immunity on Fayose. They then called for the immediate unfreezing of the accounts in the interest of justice.
The EFCC had on June 21 frozen Fayose’s two accounts, numbers 1003126654 and 9013074033 domiciled in Ado Ekiti branch of Zenith Bank, alleging that N1.2 billion of the $2.1 billion arms fund from the office of the former National Security Adviser, Col. Dasuki Sambo (rtd.) was traced to the accounts.
The governor was at the Federal High Court sitting in Ado Ekiti, seeking for a mandatory order compelling the anti-graft agency to unfreeze the accounts, at the time of filing this report.
The lawmakers, who sat under a canopy on the dual carriage way in Ado Ekiti, were armed with several placards with different inscriptions such as “we are ready for arrest”, “Harassing Ekiti lawmakers/government won’t give you 2018,” “No matter your media trial and blackmail, on Fayose we stand” and “Leave Fayose alone” among others.
